Location! The cost.

The bathroom was dirty, shower was gross to the point of being unusable, and the floors were dirty. Whoever parked outside our window kept activating their headlights right into our room, and the blinds did little to nothing to block out the headlights. The sheets and pillowcases were washed in cleaning products that made it hard for us to breathe and gave my wife an asthma attack last night. My child also had breathing trouble in the room. We had to leave the motel and go across the street last night to get a room that was clean with a usable bathroom and sheets that didn’t trigger asthma. I want my money back because we couldn’t even use the room.

They have a nice pool and self serve laundry . They don’t bother you at all . If you need towels or coffee just ask . It’s close to everything. We loved it . And probably will stay again .

Room was pretty nice! I really loved that it had a fridge and microwave. The bed was comfortable but a little soft and squeaky, bathroom was nice and clean. When we first arrived they already had the room cooled so overall my experience was pleasant. Staff was great they were nice and responded to my requests for towels etc., would stay here again!

Stayed in the back building. Lots of people sitting out on the balcony, drinking beer and smoking. Loud music below us. There was pizza laying on the walkway at the top of the stairs from the time we checked in until the time we checked. The shower was filthy and had hair clogged in the drain. Toilet have not been flushed. I would not stay here again! I have no idea why the other ratings are so high..

The stay was fine but my card information got stolen from the hotel and they stole money from my card 2 months after my stay.

It was really dirty and there were employees using the room before we got there, even though we checked in later in the evening does not mean employees can use the room we payed for.. they were storing food in the fridge. Don’t recommend this motel at all!

Keeping in mind the location and the time of year at which I reserved my room, this is by far the best stay for the price. I booked my room (the decor was simple yet tasteful and beautiful) last minute, as a walk-in, during the first weekend of Summer break of one of the most tourist-travelled places in the US, for the same price that I frequently rent rooms on the "wrong" side of town. And those one usually don't have a pool. I'm telling you, if they have vacancy, location is literally just minutes from the beach. This is the room you want. I didn't like how check out time was 10:00 a.m. although I can understand due to the season.

We stayed from Friday till Sunday for a graduation. Our room was spacious, renovated and clean, except for a chemical smell probably floor or tile adhesive. The shower was a bit challenging because the faucets had not been replaced and a bit old, in addition the water temperature kept changing from perfect to extremely hot or extremely cold.

Room was very clean and staff allowed early check in. Full size refrigerator. I had a small problem with the tv and staff fixed it right away.

Stayed here for one night, and it was fine. Would not stay longer. The room smelled like smoke and did not feel clean.

Staff was very nice. Rooms are remolded and beautiful but furniture old and dirty. Bathroom was nasty and towels had hair. It was not bad for the price but I won’t be back.

Checking in was quite the nightmare, we were handed keys to a room that was already occupied! Do you not know what room you have your customers booked into? Couldn’t adjust the air conditioner, come to find out it was done by remote control. One of the managers, the only one who was of any help, came and had to change out the remote (after he finally found it in the room) not once not twice but three times before he could even get it to work! Amenities in the room were close to zero. Would definitely not recommend this motel to anyone!

The property is also clean, and always plenty of ice and a well stocked soda machine too. The pool area was clean and had plenty of grilling areas and pool games too. The location is minutes away (driving) to the beaches, restaurants and local shopping. There's a new-looking Waffle House right next door for awesome breakfasts. We really had a great time and this was a cool little place to stay. Although you may run into some really shady places trying to save money, this one was good for us and we liked the laid back, small town vibe!

Little cottage type rental. Was cozy and cute. If we were staying again, would request a room in the back door to traffic noise. Was a good place for a one night stay prior to surgery. Parking free.

Everything is always Great

Unfortunately, the rest of the property felt like a dump. The front-door window lets daylight pour into the room 24/7 even with the shutters fully closed. The shower curtain droops, allowing water to flood the bathroom floor. The drain was clogged, and the air conditioner was noisy, moldy, and extremely difficult to control. We’ve stayed at many other pet-friendly hotels that were far nicer overall, but we’ve rarely encountered a front-desk attendant as attentive and caring as Niko.

You would think with this hotel being right next to the highway you have a lot of road noise, but I’ve stayed here twice and that wasn’t the case at all. I do sleep with the air conditioner and a travel fan. I bring so that could probably help some. My only complaint is that they need to clean the vents in the bathrooms and both rooms I’ve stayed in and someone needs to take a little bleach and elbow grease to the grout in the shower. Otherwise I like staying here, it’s convenient, easy to park and go in and out of the room, and the staff is all great.

The hotel was in a quiet area close to the beach. The room had some minor functionality issues with the bathroom door, but everything was clean. I would stay there again.

Everything was clean, parking good & staff helpful to any request. The only issue was the bathroom light inside the bathroom would sometime go off as if it were motion detected.

The floors in the room were dirty, the dust from the air-conditioner was all over the ceiling. When I originally booked the room it said the check out time was 11 am when we checked in we were told that it was changed recently to 10am, the change threw my travel plans off by an hour.

nobody told me the outlets and TV didn't work, a worker told me I got the "bad room" and when I mentioned the issues, nobody cared. There was black mould in the shower, thin mattresses, and dangerous extension cords. Wouldn't book again.

Television would not work. Fitted sheet had black stains. Outlet in bathroom was inoperable. Hair in shower. Bathroom floor was filthy. Used a towel to dry floor after showering and towel was extremely dirty. Staff was called to get Television working and was unsuccessful. Refused to discount!

This is the 2nd time we stayed here and was nothing like the first. Our room was in what appeared to be in a residential part of the hotel. The first night, we could not sleep. Someone was singing all night above us, talking loud next door, TV blaring, the AC didn't work right and was so loud we thought we were in an airport. The shower clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time, the dust on the vent in the bathroom was at least an inch thick and when I got out of the shower and walked to the sink in bare feet, my feet were instantly black. I had to wear socks in the room the entire time. Tjhe second night, the community that appears to live there were all sitting outside smoking weed and listening to music. Loud . And singing like they were at a concert. Thankfully, that stopped round 11 PM. Under the bed has clearly never been cleaned. However, the fridge and microwave are really nice - the linens on the bed appeared to be clean. Parking is nice - right outside the door, although with all the people just hanging outside, we didn't feel like anything in the truck was safe. While our first experience was nice and in a different area, we will NEVER go back.

We stayed for 2 nights. We were in town for my son's wedding, which was at a venue a few miles away. The room was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. My only issue was not having a place to hang clothing. I brought a dress for the wedding that needed to be steamed, so having a place for that would have been nice.

Nicely renovated room! Thankfully it didn't smell as bad as the front office. I was worried during check in that the room would be smelly too but it wasn't! Bed was comfortable, room was clean and staff was nice and respectful! Had trouble with getting hot water for a shower due to the neighbors showering at the same time. Overall I would recommend and would definitely stay there again!

It's located on a very busy, noisy street. There wasnt any nature within walking distance, though very convienient access to the toll bridge over to Santa Rosa Island. We ate at Taco Rock next door, excellent meal and prices.The toilet floor area was dirty, the bathtub had non slip that was black with dirt. The light and very loud fan came on when entering and no way to turn off until a sensor decided only if the door was left open. The air was so cold we wore sweatshirts, even when we adjusted to 80°(we had a remote to adjust it too). It took our 3 night stay to warm up the room. The beds were very comfortable. Nice sized refrigerator and t.v.

Just over the bridge from Pensacola Beach. (Ow toll bridge) about 15 minutes from downtown. Ice machine was just a cooler with ice. Didn't really care for that. Check in agent was very kind and the room was nice.

The condo was clean and well kept. Parking was an easy, right under the complex. Our granddaughter loved the pools and lazy river. Destin West is a great place families to enjoy the beach or pool!

Hot water got hot FAST They definitely need queen size beds. These rooms have PLENTY of room for queen size beds. Our daughters shared a bed and one of them fell out of the bed one night. There were no water cups. There wasn’t a blow dryer, so I had to send my husband out to grab one so I could dry our kids hair. The windows need a blackout blind. It got very bright at night due to the lights outside. They could use a different laundry detergent or a scent free one for the towels! They had a very weird smell.

The location is perfect, there’s literally a Waffle House next-door and Publix is right across the street. Leave the room and be at Casino Beach in about 10 minutes. I was afraid there would be a lot of road noise being so close to Highway 98, but between the air conditioner in the room and my Woozoo fan, the only thing I heard was an occasional siren. Again, this place is definitely a hidden gem and I plan to stay here again soon

The staff was amazing and this was a perfect room, very soundproof and so close to the beach!

The AC filter was very dirty. We cleaned it thd 1st day. The AC conditioner dounded like the Blue Angels taking off! The shower was never cleaned after the last guest, because we showered and someone elses hair ended up in the drain. The shower floor had an area with black mold. The bottom of the shower curtin was mildewed. The floor needed a good scrub, not just a wet mop.

The AC was not easy to get functioning I needed help . Parking was great I was put in a room close to the road which is quite noisy... The attendant at the front desk had very bad BO.

The room smelled strongly of dampness and mildew, and I noticed the same smell in the office. Wi-Fi is advertised as being available, however it does not work unless you are standing right outside the office with your device. We could not connect in our room which was directly across the parking lot from the office. Our shower did not drain, and the water either ran freezing cold or scalding hot. When I mentioned our concerns to the young man at the front desk when we checked out, he told me that all those problems are things that are easy to fix. Wondering why that hadn't been done if so easy? There were other issues regarding amenities, too. I would not recommend.

Towels were impossible to come by. The shower is very nice and updated but not properly cleaned and the water in the shower backed up! Not bad for a last minute desperate stay over! But definitely not a comfortable first choice!

It took 40 minutes to check in and they gave us the wrong room. So we had to move. We could not hear the TV when the AC was on. The road noise kept us awake.

Day time office staff was competent and professional. Evening shift was far from it. Power went out in one of the rooms I rented. Took front office 50 minutes to through a breaker that most people could have done in three mins. The rooms were clean. But permanent residents take away from hotel. Loud and loitering. Does not does not make patrons feel safe. I will stay here again but only as last resort.

Only negative observation was the bed, it make so much noice cause the base it metal so you can hear every time you move. The hotel its right by a mini plaza with Publix, Panera and other restaurants around PLUS you get the best breakfast spot, a Waffle House literally next to each other.

I had stayed previously with no issues. However this visit was disgusting. Room smelled horrible and there was hair left all over the shower and leftover food in the fridge. This experience has turned me off of coming back to this hotel.

It's very challenging getting around because you cannot take a left from the property. It would have been nice if that was explained at check-in. The coffee pot wasn't clean and it didn't look like fresh sheets were put on and the floor didn't look as if it had been swept.

I loved it as it to me is a beach house. There is a grill, pool, vending machine, and is centrally located. :) No complaints here.

As a long time area resident, I use this whenever I come back for a visit. Best dollar value in the area. And they don’t play when it comes to noise or disturbances. Recent remodel is awesome.

I got there and immediately told them it was not going to work for me. I bought the insurance from hotel.com which I don’t recommend. The listing says fenced yard. There was no fenced yard and my dog gets motion sickness. The street is very busy there. So something to keep in mind is there is no where to go with your dog once you are there. I explained the to the guy checking me in that it wasn’t going to work for me. The went back and explained it to the guy later and said I was leaving in the morning. Then I told Niko I believe in the morning what happened. He called me and said call hotels and they would let me get a refund for one of the 3 nights. I called hotels 3 different times with no return phone call or message. Very disappointing. Don’t list fenced in area or yard if you don’t have that. This is just an fyi for dog owners who want to be able to walk their dogs around and have an area for them. That is not what you are getting here.

The bathroom door doesn't close at all, no privacy. The heater stopped in the middle of night and didnt work when tried. Felt so uncomfortable especially with washroom part.

The room was quiet and the a/c worked well. The larger sized refrigerator was a plus. Ededup staying an extra day because we liked it so much. We will be back again.

Nice if you are on a budget. Rooms were clean and nicely renovated. Bed frames were cheap so they were sketchy and squeaky. Near a busy road so depending how far back you get a room it would be quite. I would stay again. Super nice staff.

We stayed for a week, room just got remodeled and looked nice. Cleanness of a room was an issue . The fridge wasn’t cleaned after prior guests, dirty towel on a floor was left behind (obviously floor wasn’t washed in some areas, otherwise they would have noticed a dirty nasty towel under the sink). I cleaned toilet, bathroom and fridge on my own before using it. Closet didn’t have any hangers, we asked the staff for it, they didn’t have any. We went to Walmart to get some. Will we go back? Probably will go to a different place.

I really didn’t ask for much, I am used to cleaning after every one else…but the room was pretty clean…they only missed the usual spots. The Waffle House, behind, sometimes brought chaotic behavior…but most of the time, it was quiet. I only payed $77 a night for 28 days, so I didn’t expect much. The location and management were very courteous and convenient…the internet sucked on some of the rooms, but there is a lot of brick and the traffic increases after checkin time. The grounds were cleanish, lol…most of the bugs were butterflies and bumblebees. The palmetto bugs live in the roots of the oaks next door. Plus there is available medical care all over…I got shingles for my first time…had many options, very close by. Weekly rates were available.

I was a little worried due to previous reviews. But by the looks of it, or at least the room I was in, was recently updated. As a solo female traveler, I never felt unsafe or uneasy during my stay here. The lady at the front desk was very kind and welcoming. Only gave low stars on the pool situation bc it’s the middle of November.

Parking right in front of room. Clean room with full size frig and nice bathroom space. Shower was a little funky, but very hot water. Bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room. I will definitely look at staying here again and offer it as a recommendation to anyone I know coming to the area. The only downfall was the road coming into the hotel because you had to go down and back from the beach or out and around if going to the Naval base. Doable - just inconvenient.

Not a beach front property

Very quaint little place. The room had more space than a typical hotel room. It was perfect for a beach stay since there was no carpet. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms clean. We traveled with kids and the environment was good. We felt safe. The pool was clean. Very short travel to the beach and a lot of food and shopping. Great weekend vacation stay.

A surprising find on Gulf Breeze Parkway. I wouldn’t have ever considered this property until I saw it online. Rooms are super cute with a great beach cottage feel. Price was reasonable, a little road noise but not terribly distracting. Beds are comfortable. Guests are quiet. It is an older property but very well maintained, updated as well. I will definitely stay here again.

Ac didn’t work that great room stayed above 80 degrees. Shower knobs were loose had to use my multitool to tighten the screws before I got hot water. Bed leg was crooked so slept at a angle

Very load next door people banging on the walls crying baby’s all hours of night I need to report noise disturbance for the past two days there has been banging yelling crying baby's all day long and banging on the walls all hours of the night this is my wife and I vacation for our anniversary and this is not a pleasant stay unfortunately I been hearing from the walls all hour cussing and drama talk we can't even sleep 😴 due to how the weather has been and the loud noise from people smell of marijuana everywhere you go on the property we have been having to stay in in the room because the bad weather on top of that the the location area room beside us sounds like they are hitting the wall if any help I thank you 🙏 we made a 10 hour trip here not to be around loud noise and drama from other people thanks

The room looks nice but as others have said the floors are filthy. They look clean until you walk on them in bare feet then your feet’s turn black. Our room had a broken window held together with a Ron Jon’s sticker. The fire pit appears to be just a giant ash tray. It was also very noisy. Not that anyone was yelling and screaming but the noise just echoes. There is no water pressure in the shower and because it takes so long to take a shower the light turns off due to the movement sensor being outside the room.

The inn looked exactly like the pictures. The quality was really great. Clean room and we felt safe and secure there. I loved that it was close to shops/stores and Pensacola Beach was just down the street from us. It was a pleasant stay and we appreciate the hospitality of the staff at Gulf Coast Inn.

There was a huge spill under the bed that was sticky. There was a cheese wrapper stuck on it. There was coffe but no coffee maker. Also there was a leak under our sink. The staff was super friendly though.

We stayed here for 2 nights while fishing the pier. - was a little leery about a small place as we usually stay at Brand hotels on the beach. We were very happy with our stay, the room was clean, recently remodeled, comfortable. TV was nice, bathroom was bright and clean. loved the extra large hotel fridge PLUS freezer! Here's really no place to Although we didn't spend much time there, the grounds were well kept, the pool area looked clean. If you're looking for a comfy place to lay your head for the night, I would highly recommend.

This was our second time staying here and while we find this type of drive in motels great andvwe did the first time we stayed, it appears not much effort is taken in updates to rooms. The king size bed in our room, the same room we had ladt year , needs to be upgraded. The shower fixtures could use some love as well.

Convenient restaurant and bait shop for fishing quiet area

Took shower, walked to bed to set down to put socks on and the bottom of feet were black. Apparently they do not mop floors. Lights go off while in shower or using restroom due to motion sensor switch outside restroom. They advertise daily housekeeping, they did not come all day, we had to call and request towels and toilet paper, when asked why they didnt clean room, they said you have to request it. Parking spots are too narrow

I thoroughly enjoyed this property didn't have much if any complaints. The shower was finicky and there was no bottom door seal on my door so there were constantly flies with no survival instincts in the room but other than that it was a nice stay

Ten out of ten would stay again! Perfect location. The Waffle House next door is a god send. Check in was the fastest easiest check in I’ve ever had. Obviously well maintained to bring a beach vibe and even had extra amenities such as paper towels and a fridge/freezer combo!

It’s a nice budget place, the bed was very comfy.

Our room was recently remodeled, so that was nice. The blinds were not room darkening, so it was super bright in our room starting at sunrise. That’s great for the middle and end of the day, but at 6, it was a little much. The first day, I didn’t showered until late morning, and I had no hot water. The next morning, I showered earlier so there was hot water, but I do think a motel should have water heaters appropriately sized for the customer load. Saturday night, there was lots of action out on the property well into the night with lots of people out on their front porches and balconies, which wasn’t the most comfortable experience for a woman and teenaged girl to walk through. I’d probably not stay there again traveling as a woman with her child. The location was great as it was close to Pensacola Beach, but getting out of the parking lot felt a bit like playing Frogger as the traffic was pretty heavy.

The cold water didn’t work in shower. Couldn’t take shower cause water was scorching hot. The floor was filthy and there were dead bugs on bathroom floor and live ones

The property is conveniently located to restaurants and beaches. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom sink, shower and toliet was clean. The floor needed a good mopping as it was very dirty and the freezer smelled like fish. Something was spelled on the curtain and those need to be washed or replaced. I didn’t like having to wait until 6:30 pm to get fresh towels. The young man at the desk was very nice. The price for the room was great and we would stay again.

I am 65 with mobility issues. It was so wonderful to have parking next to my door and to have easy access a short away (no stairs). I felt safe, I loved the fridge, microwave and spacious room. The guys at the front desk were very friendly and responsive.

This hotel is great!!! There staff (especially Teri) was amazing. This is now our go to Hotel from now on, due to the wonderful treatment we received. The outside was as clean as the inside, and that itself speaks volumes. Our room was very clean, amd king size bed was very comfortable. 5 stars

Room has no chairs to sit on. Went to the office to see if they were going to restock towels. They told us they would come in a few minutes. We went out to dinner to meet family. Came back still no towels. Went back to the office and they were out. The person scrambled up some towels. Been there twice. First and last. Not really impressed with hotels dot com with their rating system. Very disappointed.

Affordable for cheap stay near beach. Cute decor but beds(mattresses) are sub par. Toilet wasn’t sturdy. Hooks in room and outside to dry things would be nice. Need fans in room or better ac. Luckily we brought a fan.Enjoyed pool but is old and needs repair. Other occupants seemed sketchy but we didn’t feel unsafe. Nico in office was very nice and accommodating.

Easy road access to head to the beach

Overall, we had a good experience. It was very worth the price in a you get what you pay for type of experience. This is not a fancy hotel but it is definitely stayable. I loved that we got to bring our pet along. The rooms are small, but clean and cozy with beachy vibes. Waffle house next door, walmart down the road, and beach access was only about 10 minutes. The pool could have colder and cleaner, but not terrible. Bring extra towels if needed. For a family of 5, there wasnt enough sleeping space, but it would fit 4 just fine. I loved having e tra spending money over a fancy expensive hotel. Oh, and if you are a fisher on vacation, the 3 day non residentail license is worth it, only $17. Its a cheap added experience to take your young son SALT WATER fishing. My 10 yr old loved it, and there is bank fishing opportunities all around. Definitely take your pet if able! Its an extra $25 a night, but well worth seeing your pup at the beach for the first time, our elanore loved the beach, and they even have a beach specified for dogs! My only suggestion for this hotel would be to make the property look more appealing on the outside and hire a better photographer for thier business page. The room was great, but my husband almost cancelled our reservation simply from the unappealing photo on the email confirmation. It gives a very sketchy vibe, but pictures can be decieving, and in this case they were. Great job owners! We will be back!

I've stayed here a few times and it's always a pleasant stay. The room I had this time was a little different, but still great. I had the room right at the end, behind Waffle House. It was a bit smaller than the ones I usually get BUT still worked out. Cons: the wi-fi did not reach most of the time, no closet space. Pros: privacy, walk in shower, parking right in front of my door. Felt like a small apartment, which was great. I will always choose to stay at your establishment :-)

Team was rude and no ice

The hotel was nice & clean. It was decorated really nice for a quaint hotel. The location was close to the beach. It only took us 8 minutes to get there! My only complaint was the fact that they only gave us towels for 1 night. At 7:30am we brought the used ones to the office to exchange for some clean ones & was told that housekeeping would bring them to us. We finally left to go to the beach around 10:00 & still no towels!! Thank goodness we had our beach towels!

Hotel muy bien ubicado a 5 minutos de la playa si usas el puente de cupta, si no lo usas es casi una hora para llegar a la playa, cuando llegas si te basas en las condiciones en la que está su letrero puedes llegar a pensar que tal vez así estén las habitaciones, pero en realidad están en perfectas condiciones, está recién renovadas con refrigerador, con cafetera, con microondas, baño limpio amplio, televisión con cable alberca con agua calientita, junto al hotel un Waffle House, y a unos cuantos pasos un supermercado con todo lo que necesites, sin duda yo lo recomiendo y cuando vuelva a ir a Pensacola me volveré a hospedar ahí.

The room was clean but the sheets were not. Beds had hair, like they did not change the sheets. At 1 am neighbors had way too loud music that we couldn’t sleep. They were singing along maybe karaoke which is fun but it is not the place for that. Also, There was a broken glass beer bottle almost in front of our door when we returned from the beach. We did not feel safe. I don’t recommend this property and I won’t book again

We were so happy with this little motel. It has been remodeled, outside painted, it was small, but all we needed. It is convenient to food, shopping, the beach, and pet friendly. Most of the employees were awesome. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect location before passing over the bridge into Pensacola beach. Pool is smaller and not super extravagant, but a pool is a pool and the kids enjoyed it!

The staff were nice and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Parking was limited. My only real complaint is there was only 2 towels and 2 wash clothes. There were 3 of us needing to shower. They do not have extra to give. Other than that it was a decent stay.

Gulf Coast Inn has a fresh coat of paint. The rooms have been remodled and the decor is light and coastal. Comfy beds and clean bathrooms. The pool is well taken care of and grounds are clean and free of cigarette waste. The maintenance guru Jerry is kind and puts a lot of Joy in his work. 20 minute easy access to Pensacola Beach. Waffle House is next door - so walking to breakfast was our go to. Our family will book again with other families!

The room was clean, newly renovated, super cute, and homey. Comfortable beds, had a great WiFi connection. Check in was quick and painless. Only thing I have to say is there wasn’t a hair dryer, so if you plan to stay pack one!

We had an amazing stay. Rooms fully renovated. Super laid back property. Terry the maintenance man was always around if you needed anything and glad to help. The pool was a perfect size with a basketball hoop, volley ball net, and corn hole in the pool. Just gotta bring a ball and bags. The room was clean and neat with plenty of storage for belongings with a good sized fridge for a hotel. Will be back to stay here again.

The only complaint I have is the bathroom light being on a short timer and the sliding door for the bathroom won’t stay open , there’s no air flow in the bathroom
