    The pool was closed due to a DHEC inspection. Breakfast had soggy eggs. First room had ripped curtains in it. We moved rooms second room the couch was filthy stained had cigarette musty smell. Someone was sleeping on a bench outside in the parking lot

    Location was great for where we were going and needed to be Construction work being done and didn’t know it until we arrived. Upon arrival main entrance was blocked and had to go all the way to get to the back side. Upon check in the room had the unit away from the wall so we asked for another one same thing in that room so we waited unit it was put back. Towels were dirty, covered in black hair, definitely need pest control as there were roaches

    The corner rooms and location. Breakfast was good too . Sometimes very very late on 7th floor people were being loud and doors slamming but eventually stopped. Some lady hanging out in lobby was watching everyone and supposedly had a room on 2nd floor but was up on 7th floor and had her purse sitting on the elevator keeping the door open. She was strange and I felt hotel should not have allowed her to be doing what she was. Esp holding up the elevator and being on a floor not even get room floor to bother people. It was all just a little weird and uncomfortable.

    The rooms were very dated. Like you had to insert the card in the door instead of just swiping. The French doors in the bathroom did not close all the way so there was no privacy while in the bathroom. The carpet in the room needs replacing or removed. There was just an old carpet smell in the room. The towels in the bathroom had hair on them like maybe the cleaning staff didn’t have their hair tied up.

    I wrote an email and it seems like not much will become of it. So I stayed here for 2 days. The staff was fine. I like the location and the breakfast was good and many options. Unfortunately I had some issues with the room. My door stuck to open on the first night. The T.V. remote did not work. Some of the lamps did not turn on. The water pressure in the toilet was not strong. Then the next morning one of the elevators were out of order so I had to take the stairs or go on the other side of the hotel to use that elevator. Also the fitness center was closed for maintenance. Lastly, which was the worse is the AC on my last night did not blow cold. It was barley cool. I did not sleep well. This La Quinta needs a remodel and or repairs. Because of those and no email response from customer service, I have to give it low ratings.

    Across the hall from us was a very large barking dog that carried on for 3 solid hours, non stop. This should have been escalated and taken care of before our patience ran out, and we left and stayed at the Best Western. The police/animal control should have been notified after hotel was unsuccessful at reaching the owners. Also, a full refund should most certainly have been issued to us, but “manager on duty” only approved 1/2. This was not acceptable….very poor customer service!

    The property needs major updating and cleaning. The pull out couch was filthy and covered with pull over to mask it. When we checked in there were empty beer cans in the trash. Management acknowledged they need to update the property. Staff is friendly but that only goes so far. Cleanliness matters.

    The location of the property is good - very close to Haywood Mall, restaurants and a short drive to the highway. Staff was friendly. I honestly can’t believe Wyndham is allowing this property to operate as a franchise under their name. The place is falling apart. There hasn’t been any investment in keeping the building up or replacing anything when it’s damaged. And the room we stayed in was visibly dirty and torn apart in places. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra to stay elsewhere.

    This was a great hotel for one night on a girls trip. We spent the day on the swamp rabbit trail and then checked in. It’s close to the mall and we walked to dinner at Bimini’s where we ate some of the best crab legs I’ve ever had. Great local dive. The hotel could use some updates but we’re not super picky and it served us well for what we needed.

    We picked a king size room for 3 people- got checked in to find no couch included. Just 1 king size bed for 3 people. Had to be transferred to a double room so everywhere had somewhere to sleep…. Which double beds were not comfortable to fit our 2 adults. Beds were also hard and uncomfortable and even with room ac as low as it could go, we were still hot.

    We did book through an online alternate site vs directly so dinner make a difference? we were given a handicapped room which we didn’t request. But no problem with that- had nice feature such as door peek hole at right level, large bathroom. But room condition was just ok. Toilet bowl didn’t leak but had cracks, shampoo & crème rinse was in tiny packets vs more eco friendly bottles attached to shower. Had a number of lamps but only a few bulbs worked in some and tv remote was bizzare - click on a show and would get something else. Kinda fun guessing what to watch.

    This property is quite old and does not live up to La Quinta standards. It is quite clear that this is not corporate-owned and operated and it shows. It needs to be fully remodeled and the breakfast needs to be improved. I will stay somewhere else in future trips to Greenville. La Quinta needs to do better with improving the standards of the hotels it franchises. This is my second poor experience with La Quinta in the past 6 months and it is hurting their brand.

    I would give this a 0 if it was an option. The room was absolutely filthy. It felt like a run down motel in the middle of nowhere. I booked a suite so we'd have two separate sleeping areas, but the sleeper sofa only slept one person, instead of two as it was supposed to. It was the most disgusting sofa, which was covered up by an equally dirty slip cover. The pull out itself was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever laid down on. If the carpet wasn't the filthiest thing I've ever laid my eyes on, sleeping on the floor would've been a better option. There were also no garbage cans in the room at all. The blackout curtains did not cover the whole window and were held up by tape. Also, there were tears in the blackout curtains that they tried repairing with tape. Everything looked filthy. They say the whole hotel is non smoking, yet it has a lingering smell of smoke. If we hadn't arrived at 10pm, we would have absolutely left and found anywhere else to stay. Breakfast being included was a draw, but after seeing how filthy our room was, I would never trust anything that came out of their kitchen.

    The bathroom was clean. Highlight of the stay. The elevator is questionable and makes loud grinding sounds when riding it. Carpets are stained all over throughout the hotel. It smelled like marijuana and cigarettes in the stairway, the hallways, the room, the bathroom, and all the linens.

    As the lady was checking me in she procedded to have a horrible attitude. While questioning check out times she also smarted off. Then upon arrival to the room, it smelled horrible as if someone just smoked a pack of cigs in the room. Then i went into bathroom just to find several things off hair strong across bathroom wall.

    I love that it was close to many dinning areas and it has a lobby with small tables that are accessible at any time. I had a meeting in the lobby and no one came and interrupted me talking with my colleague which is priceless to me. They also spoke English and Spanish which is a plus in my book.

    The shower didn’t work in our room and the couch was dirty. We ended up having to go shower in a different room called a “spare room” as backup and it smelled like body oder. The shower was fixed within 2 hours. The key to the room did not work the whole time. The electric scanner was dying but they just kept giving us new keys. It was an ok room if you’re staying for one night and not spending much time in the room but you can tell it’s an older hotel and/or not kept up very well. Dogs were in the eating area so that’s just gross.

    The hotel grounds and surrounding area was dirty with trash all over the place. However, the worst part was that the hotel did not save the room that I reserved even though I had already paid for it online. The room was clearly available online, hence the reason I selected it; however, upon arriving the room I paid for it had been given to someone else. The night staff told me that they did not have the authority to address it and then I would have to speak with Management in the morning. I spoke with Management in the morning only to have them tell me that it was just too bad and there was nothing that were going do about fixing it. Terrible management and terrible business practices. I do not recommend this establishment for a stay.

    Overall, it was an enjoyable stay! Staff was very nice. Some of the accommodations were a little lacking. Our first room did not have a working iron/ironing board or microwave, and our second room did not have a working TV (We booked two rooms). The waffle maker and sausage gravy with biscuits at breakfast were delicious! It would have been nice to have some fresh fruit options, or even juice. The pool was very nice as was the pool area. Our floor was very quiet and the overall hotel was very clean. The hotel was also in a very convenient location for shopping and dinner options. We would stay again, but a few improvements would go a long way.

    I don't go to many hotels with comfortable beds. The female staff member on the front desk made things happen! I had a long flight and short rest and she was able to get me into a room quickly and she made quick adjustments. The fridge in my room wasn't working and she got a crew member up there fast to make the corrections. Many things were under maintenance which was a little bit shocking.

    The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I was disappointed that the room didn't have a microwave in it. The front elevator being repaired was inconvenient, but I don't expect that to be an ongoing problem. The breakfast was limited in choices and not at the same standard of similar properties I have visited.

    3rd time staying here. Like the location for the price. Wasn’t too pleased returning to the hotel at 10pm to find 3 police cars and one prisoner van parked right in front of the hotel lobby. Made me nervous as a single female traveler.

    Front desk check in clerk was very good,she was friendly and helped me change my room due to noisy kids in room next to me. Myself and several others had difficulty getting our keys to work on the rear entrance. Ice machine on second floor was inoperative.

    You get what you pay for or less with this one. Last resort!! Smokers in the next room and our room was smoked in a LOT!!! Tons of weed smokers… you smell it in the room. Breakfast was totally junk. Cereal and no milk, no bread, no meat of any kind.

    About 8:30 PM, a very strong animal feces smell permeated the room. I called the front desk and the guy was pretty rude but said he had no other rooms and I could check out and GET A REFUND. About 5 minutes later I get a call to the room telling me I needed to vacate the room within 30 minutes or the police would be involved. WHAT? I thought they had the wrong room. I went to the front desk immediately to ask what was going on and the front desk clerk acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. Am I in the Twilight Zone? I decided to take him up on his offer and packed up my stuff and loaded the car and went to the front desk to turn in my key cards. The front desk clerk again told me " You will get a REFUND in 3-5 business days except for the pet fee. I asked for the manager's information and was provided an e-mail address. I e-mailed the next day to express my concerns and ask for the pet fee back. The response a few days later was nuts, making nonsense allegations and stating I would get NO REFUND. I have been charged double the rate quoted when I booked

    1) The continental breakfast is OK. Sparse, but there is some substance to it. Would have liked to have had larger coffee cups instead of the small ones provided. I stopped on two of the three mornings I was there and there was a little variety to the offering. 2) The hotel needs a good deep cleaning. My room showed signs of dirty and debris the vacuums either missed or just pushed around. There was a steady stream of small ants coming in from around the air conditioning unit. The floors on the common areas show signs of stains and spills. The parking lot has trash strewn about. 3) There were no bars of soap in my room upon check-in. 4) The trash can is tiny and does not hold much of anything. I ended up using a stash of plastic bags from the grocery store to bundle my room trash and take it to one of the larger bins bear the elevator on my floor. And that looked like what a lot of the other guests were doing, as well, since these bins quickly overflowed.

    Room was ok. Bed was reasonably comfortable. No soap in room. Elevator was out off service, and key needed to be reset several times on a two night visit. If you need no frills, bare minimum amenities and service then this is the place for you. Would not stay there again. And frankly, I will think twice about any LaQuinta.

    This property is comfortable for a multi night stay and has convenient accessibility to the local area. You’ll need to request cleaning service for your room early in the day to ensure you get some and the hallways could be a tad cleaner but overall this is a safe, comfortable and convenient location for staying with your family.

    When I was about to get in the bed, it was clear that the sheets had not been changed - there was hair all over the sheets. If they didn’t change the sheets what else in the room wasn’t cleaned?? When I went to the front desk to complain, they said oh well. They did offer to give me sheets to change them myself. Absolute terrible customer service. A motel would have been better. STAY AWAY.
