We booked a double queen room 2-3 weeks in advance for 4 people. When we got to the hotel the person checked us in. We walked to the 4th floor to our room and we had a king bed. We were never told this at check in. Obviously 4 grown adults can't sleep in a king size bed only. There was no pull out couch or anything. So, when we went back downstairs to discuss this with the same lady she told us that unfortunately that was the only room available. They didn't have anymore double beds. This should have been told to us at the very beginning of our check in. We had to settle for a king bed with a pull out couch. I was very disappointed at the lack or communication and the fact that we booked our rooms well in advance.

It would be unfair, though, not to mention the help of the staff, especially the young gentleman who provided us hot water for some tea around the nighttime. I wish I had gotten his name, but I will be forever appreciative to him--his customer service was exemplary. If and when I return to Greensboro, NC, I will not be returning to this hotel. I would rather book at the Hyatt a couple minutes away, who offers free breakfast, enough square feet for 4 people, and a fan in the bathroom when sharing such a tight space--all for the same price. I expected more from such a well-known hotel company, one I have been in partnership for years. I will have to think twice before booking with Marriott again.

Unfortunately, the checkout experience was extremely frustrating. When I checked out, I simply asked for a receipt and was told “absolutely not” because I had booked through a third party rather than directly through Marriott. I had never encountered this before, but I assumed perhaps the policy had changed and left it alone. Later that morning, I logged into Hotels.com, where I had made the reservation, and their website clearly stated that if payment was made at the property, the receipt must be obtained from the hotel. Since I needed the receipt for reimbursement from my employer, I began trying to get one. I called the hotel and was told a receipt could be emailed to me. What I received was only my parking receipt. I called a second time and was told the correct receipt was being sent to my email. After waiting several hours and receiving nothing, I called back again and was then informed that the receipt could not be emailed after all, meaning I had to drive back to the hotel to obtain a paper copy. What makes this especially frustrating is that getting a receipt was my original request at checkout, and I was told it wasn’t possible. Yet in the end, I was able to get a receipt—it just required multiple phone calls and an unnecessary trip back to the property.

Nice spacious room. Bar and lobby area Service at restaurant was slow (very, took over 1 hr. to get us our dinner and then hamburger was cold (just unfrozen bread!). They even offered us 20% discount for the inconvenience, but dinner was ruined. No buffet for breakfast and "a la carte" is slow... Noise during the night coming from outside downstairs (not sure if parking or street, but there were banging sounds as if metal containers being moved).

I went to a concert at the Steven Tanger hall and it was right actthe street. Perfect for what I needed. Parking at the hotel was 18$ but would've had to pay if not staying there to park at concert hall so it was a win win.

Perfect location, as you can walk to all of the fun things but also you're a little detached from it which is nice to not be among all the noise at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom is a bit small especially for a room with 2 queen beds so potentially 4 people sharing it. Overall, a really positive experience.

Very nice property. Would consider the facility and rooms higher end. The parking structure was open when I was there which made parking super easy. Not sure if that's always the case. Really nice bar in the lobby. The only issue I had was the door for the connecting room wasn't very soundproof and I could hear the neighbors TV late into the night. May want to request a unconnected room.

Absolutely nothing I paid $280 for one night and the condition of this room was completely unacceptable. The room was dirty upon arrival, including hair left in the shower drain, which clearly indicates it was not properly cleaned. Multiple essential amenities did not work at all, including the AC, hair dryer, phone charging outlet, and TV remote. Most concerning was a broken electrical outlet with a live wire exposed next to the bed, which is a serious safety hazard. There was also no ventilation in the bathroom, and the ceiling showed rust and a mold-like appearance, raising health and maintenance concerns. This room was unsafe, unsanitary, and did not match what was advertised. Paying premium pricing for conditions like this is unacceptable. I would strongly caution others before booking.

Couldn’t sleep due to the extremely frigid temperature that wouldn’t rise. There is a picture depicting the claims. The Internet was down, so the tv couldn’t watched (Netflix). Towels had black stains on them, and they double charged for parking which there’s picture proof of as well. The employees were very nice.

The front desk staff is super friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. They let us check in early which was amazing. When we arrived there was an issue making the room keys so they brought us up to our rooms till the issue was resolved. The hotel is nice but not very clean at all. We found a pad wrapper , pills, blood looking stain on the comforter, something brown and sticky splashed all over the lamp and wall, hairs on the bed ect. We only stayed for one night though so we sucked it up and slept in our clothes

This was a concert day and the hotel was full. The restaurant was packed and the very understaffed. However, while people were somewhat disappointed in the service, the restaurant staff was incredibly professional. They were polite, respectful and very considerate. I would give them a 15 out of 10! Very impressed!

I will say, the staff at this hotel is AMAZING!!! Several of the people that I talked to were very nice. It must be that southern hospice that I’m just not used to up north. 😂 I ended up having to switch rooms due to the air-conditioning and a need for a walk-in shower due to an injury. The staff immediately was able to get me assigned to a new room. In fact, I didn’t even need to come to the front desk to make this request. Now, I can be a stickler when it comes to hotels and I do pay attention to the minor details. The rooms need to be renovated. There’s a lot of chipped paint, severe cracks, discoloration throughout the room and mild bubbling/water damage in the ceiling in the bathrooms. To me, paying attention to this level of detail as a hotel can really just contribute to the comfortability of your guests. And id think most of that kind of stuff would be an easy fix. Just my recommendation.

I went to check in at the hotel that was prebooked so we thought. When getting to the room it was a single instead of a double. Also there was a mildew smell heavily in the room. Also the air conditioner did not work so we burned up all night long. This experience was the wirst.

The property was good however there an ongoing issue booking.com needs to fix have used Booking dot com multiple times, and while the platform is convenient and easy to navigate, the accuracy of the information they provide continues to be a major issue. One example is the repeated situation where a hotel is listed as including breakfast, yet when you arrive you are told it is not included. Then Booking dot com claims the breakfast option was never selected, even though the details shown during booking clearly state that it is included. This is misleading and creates unnecessary frustration for travelers who rely on accurate information when planning and budgeting their trips. It should not be the customer's responsibility to chase down answers or prove what was advertised. When this happens more than once, it becomes clear there is a pattern and not just a one time mistake. Booking dot com needs better communication with hotels and greater transparency in what is truly included. Guests should not arrive to surprises or feel like the information shown during booking cannot be trusted. A booking website should make travel smoother, not add stress or confusion. Until this issue is corrected, I will be more cautious using this platform, because trust matters when booking travel.

The staff did not inform me that I needed to push the call button to be let out of the parking garage after checking out. I had to park and go back into the hotel for them to only tell me that I needed to push the call button. When I pushed the call button it took a while for the staff to answer.

The room had a unpleasant smell on arrival, but we packed lysol and a few sprays throughout the room helped tremendously. We experienced continuous issues with the toilet not flushing and eventually overflowing. With each time that we asked for maintenance, they arrived in a timely manner to resolve the issue, but unfortunately it didn't help. On the hand other the service was great, the beds were very comfortable, and the hotel is in a great location. Not sure if I would stay here again, especially with parking being $18 a night!

With each time that we asked for maintenance, they arrived in a timely manner to resolve the issue, but unfortunately it didn't help. On the hand other the service was great, the beds were very comfortable, and the hotel is in a great location. Not sure if I would stay here again, especially with parking being $18 a night!

Great stay but pricey for what you get. Room was adequate size, the bathroom was small. It was a beautiful hotel in a downtown, so I guess that's why it's priced higher than other similar hotels.

Good service. Clean. Nice shower. Towels not soft. Pillows were very soft. AC never got cool. Drinks overpriced. Convenient near restaurants and Tanger Center. We'll stay there again for the next concert at Tanger.

Awesome! The A/C in our room was broken but they offered another room. Since we had adjoining rooms we stayed & they gave a discount. We just kept the door open between rooms & we were good.

Always love staying there! However this was my first time in a room that was conjoined. Previous stays the front desk has mentioned they don’t put solo female travelers in conjoining rooms and I completely forgot to ask when I arrived. Not their fault definitely mine. Doesn’t affect my overall rating it was just something nice they’ve done in the past.

I love the property but the two bar staff that worked at the bistro. My husband sat and waited for them to finish a conversation with another person (which they were aware he was standing there) when there conversation was over the continued to pay him no mind, carry on side conversations and walked to the back as he was attempted to say something. Luckily there was another staff on board who immediately came out greeted my husband and took our order without any hesitation. I get we all can get caught in the midst of side convos but excellent customer service should always be a priority hopefully these young ladies will not exhibit such behavior in the future.

Staff were very friendly, the room was very cold despite the heat being on max. Front desk was called and they called an engineer who was there IMMEDIATELY and rectified the problem as best he could. The beds are very comfortable!

Beautiful place. Staff was very nice. You should know the WiFi and Deck parking are extra charges…I did not know until check out about the parking charges. Also…the tv is limited. I was there the weekend before Christmas and they had all the good channels blocked….ie Freedorm, AMC…that was weird. I was also disappointed with not having a microwave in my room. It is a beautiful place

I stayed here for 6 nights. My elderly mother was with me. We had a handicap accessible room which had a sizable bath easy for using mobility helps. Higher toilet but a regular bath tub w/ hand held and overhead shower. She was not able to step over into the tub. No seat. The lighting was dimmer than normal. Beds were great. Room was quiet. I liked the entry recessed light as a night light for her.

We had to switch rooms a few times. One of the rooms we were given had blood at the bottom of the mattress which was visible when we walked in the room. The staff quickly changed our room but it was almost as if they didn’t see how alarming that was to see as a guest. Nonetheless we continued the rest of our stay. I most likely will stay at another hotel if in town again.

We stayed one night to attend a concert at the Tanger Center. It was very close to the venue and the hotel was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and the accommodations were awesome. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

The room and staff was spectacular however, 10 minutes after check-in, we find out that our can’t concert was canceled so we had to pay for the room and stay after 3 Hour Dr. to your hotel which we would come and paid for hotel if we knew the concert was canceled. The hotel should have refunded our stay since we had just checked in that was disappointing

This was the worst stay I have ever experienced at a Marriott hotel. The air went out and I was told that the technician was fixing it. After an hour, we were still without air. The HVAC guy was sent to our room. Still no air. I finally had to call and request another room. We were moved to another room and as soon as we settled in the fire alarm came on. We jumped up and ran out to go downstairs. Then we were told it was a false alarm. There was also a disturbance in the parking lot and one of the desk attendants had to run out into the parking lot. I was not offered a discount or anything for the inconveniences. I always expect the Marriott to be top notch but this time the stay was far from it.
