Econo Lodge Garner - Raleigh

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, but the hotel is definitely old and has not been maintained the way it should have. The complementary breakfast was a bit on the sad side. Orange nojuice was watered down, they had toast and toaster waffles, some small individually packaged honey buns, and had some small flavored croissants about half the size of a regular croissant.Two types of cereal, and those a gallon of milk in the cooler pour on it. And that was about it.

Clean good ac Tiny pillows, I have anxiety and could not ask for more.

I enjoyed the room access being outside. When we arrived at 2pm (check in time), we were told our room was ready. We arrived at the room to find no bedding on the bed, trash from the last occupant, the floor hadn’t been swept or mopped, the bathroom was dirty and still had the last occupants mess in the toilet. We notified the front desk and they had it cleaned but it took around an hour. There was beer bottles randomly around the property. The breakfast was laughable. The bed was incredibly hard and noisy & the ac in our room did not keep the room cool. The sheets had cigarette burn holes.

Location was easy to get to, and quite. Facilities are outdated and don’t function well. They use too much chlorine to clean and the smell was so strong. It made me afraid to breath in the room.

I like the location. Easy access to both Raleigh and Garner. I also like the fact he rooms on the outside of the building. I like the room and the size of it.

Nothing. For breakfast there was literally no coffee 30 minutes after it started. There was individually wrapped pieces of bread, four wrapped muffins the size of golf balls, eggs waffles and cereal. That was 100% all of it. The room dirty and stained, pieces of the bathroom ceiling were on the floor, huge stain inside the tub and the soap was in wrapper, but opened and dirty next to the sink. Some rags had visual staining. One of the beds squeaked loudly with every move. The worst part was that when the door was closed, with weak locks mind you, you could see day light still. Not worth the cost at all, 20 dollars more and you would be in a much better hotel. I don't like posting negative reviews ever, but this place needs leveled.

The room. The bed wasn't attached therefore it rolled easily and the bottom of it was medal so it made noise. The bathroom door was coming apart. Everytime you close it the bottom gets stuck. The bathroom fan don't work. The water from the shower sprays all over the place

Beds were clean and comfortable. Majority of the room was clean. Guest Services was rude and had a bad attitude. Room tub was dirty. Bathroom door was chaffed.

Sadly I needed to cancel but I was still charged after calling early morning before check in to make them aware but they were happy to still charge my card, very disheartening. I'd like to be credited for the money to at least book sometime in the near future

Rooms was not as clean as they could have been.

There were stains everywhere, the toilet wasn't even connected to the floor, the bathroom sink wasn't connected to the wall, the locks on the main door didn't even look like they worked properly.

I think rooms needs a little renovations. I found a roach and left hours of checking in. The refrigerator in the room was old and broken. The bathroom door the lock was lose and broken.

Worst of all was the breakfast - donuts, sugary cereals, white bread, and no protein, not even peanut butter. I would not recommend unless you are on a very tight budget.

The black gentleman at the front desk charged my card without my authorization the night before for a single night then when I checked in to pay the remaining balance behaved as if I did not have the money to stay a motel they had already charged me a full night for. They double charged my room then said they would give it away if I couldn’t pay a $50 deposit. I had to call my bank on speaker for them to fix everything and give me my room key. They did not go into to the room once to clean it while I stayed. 4 nights for an event in town. Though they were moving to clean rooms every morning. The breakfast was Saran wrapped pop tarts and box donuts bought the day of. Even at check out another man looked at me crazy when I asked for a printed copy of my receipt. Stay here if you must but the staff is not kind and the rooms will be dirty.

Now, after having stayed at Econo Lodge Garner NC, I would not ever stay there again, because there are other hotels - notably Wingate by Wyndham - which are very close by to the Econo Lodge, but much nicer. I was in Garner for a visit with family in Raleigh, and the last time there, I stayed at an eclectic independent hotel, The Longleaf, which was very nice but very overpriced, in my opinion. So this time I purposely looked for hotels a bit farther from the downtown Raleigh area where my family lives. My sister and my nephew both expressed concern about the environment around the Econo Lodge, and strongly hinted I should choose some other hotel, whether in Garner or close by, that is better and feels safer. Now I know I could get the Wingate there for not much more per night, definitely will look at that next time.

There are no elevators and keep in mind the property only has outside stairs and outside doors. We were okay the whole time with everything but a homeless person approached us practically right outside the building. Added security and making it more modern would be best.

The night time clerk actually gave my room and key access to someone else. So at three o'clock in the morning three men busted into my room (I was traveling alone). Thankfully, the men left and I called the clerk who told me the mixup. This could have went really bad but thank goodness it didn't.

Our first room had a broken bed frame on the couch. We were then moved to another room. The hostess was very kind and he provided awesome hospitality. The rooms felt outdated and I could see cracks and holes in the restroom wall, which made us feel uneasy.

The room is falling apart. Extremely Dirty! The door doesn’t close all the way. The floors were so dirty we had to wear socks to walk around. Refrigerator and freezer both don’t work. We had to fix the drain plug in the bathtub. The toilet had poop stains in it. It was an awful place to stay.

It was better than I thought it would be. Needed a cheap hotel to sleep for a few hours. Lots of people outside talking late into the night. Bed was comfortable and the AC provided white noise to drown out noise. Front office was awesome and professional. You can tell they take pride in the property.

Also Hotel charged me a no show when after I told them I wouldn't check in Friday night but early Saturday morning. So they changed me a whole extra night as if I stayed 3 nights instead of 2.

I’ve stayed here in the past and it was pretty nice but it was six years ago. I would say that they definitely need to do renovations. Our door was multicolored looking horrible. But I still enjoyed my stay. One of the pillows on the bed didn’t have a pillow case on it and the bedspread on the bed looked stained.

The first room I was given on the bottom floor reeked.. it had some sort of very foul odor coming out of it.. The management here took money from me and didn’t even count it ! I gave her an extra $20 bill to get change from and she didn’t even count the money , she put it directly in her drawer then after questioning her about it she was basically calling me a Lier..so I got cheated out of my money.. room service sucked.. we had to call and ask for things instead of them having someone bring them to us..To check the room for clean or dirty laundry.. we had to stop a house keeper. the a/c in the room barely worked.. with leaving it on all day, thank god we brought our fan from home. The parking was ridiculous.. we had to park on the opposite side of the building to go to our room on the other side of the hotel room. And walk w all our luggage since this hotel didn’t offer a trolly thing for the luggage. when we got there they were power washing outside leaving the stairs soaked and not having the first wet floor sign up anywhere I almost feel going up the stairs.. This experience was the worst and I will never return here please don’t even waste your money.

The parking was ridiculous.. we had to park on the opposite side of the building to go to our room on the other side of the hotel room. And walk w all our luggage since this hotel didn’t offer a trolly thing for the luggage. when we got there they were power washing outside leaving the stairs soaked and not having the first wet floor sign up anywhere I almost feel going up the stairs.. This experience was the worst and I will never return here please don’t even waste your money.

The bathroom had a hole in the wall behind the door. There were cig burns all along the bathtub. The bathroom door did not close improper fitting. The front door you could see light coming through. The beds were to be queen size but were full size. Advertised a pool which there was none!!

Stayed here during tbe last hurricane with my family. The air conditioning unit was horribly loud. Not enougb linen, towels or pillows in the.room for king size room with a pullout sofabed. Went to front desk for these items and still not enough provided. Asked housekeeping for items next morning and told we had to go to front desk.

The staff was friendly....I booked five rooms and the rooms had a mildew smell in them...The A/C unit in one of the rooms wasn't clean it had black spots on the top I had to switch rooms.... The hotel say checkin is at 2pm the rooms wasn't clean when we got there at 2:45.

Check in was a little slow but friendly. We had 2 rooms. One room was a little more updated than the other, they seem to be on a slow remodel. Room was clean and comfortable. We were in town for GalaxyCon in Raleigh and was definitely affordable for 2 rooms on the weekend. Definitely would stay again.

This place is run down, if you didn’t have the air on the smell was bad and it’s hot and humid in NC in the summer. Also they said remodeled but not sure where, the plumbing literally fell off the bottom of the sink while washing my face, pillows smelled, and 90% of the guests were long stay construction workers who were always staring felt a little uneasy

Property needs some updating on the outside and to remove the old furniture from near the stairways its quite the eye sore. Also the rooms could use some updating, but for the price it was ok.

I didn’t like that i booked a non-smoking room and received a room that smelt like dirty cigarettes . They did change it after several hours . I also requested rags and received ones with black stains all over them . I made a complaint to the guy at the front desk and he seemed confused . There was also a guy outside my room that scared me . He kept watching me each time i leave my room. Caught him standing next to my car. I asked him if i can help him with something he replied “he needed a cigarette” after telling him i do not smoke he stood there staring me down. I reported this to the guy at the front desk and he did nothing . I did not enjoy my stay at this place i felt unsafe and dirty

There was no toilet paper in the bathroom, had to go looking for housekeeping, no drawer space

Clean room. Outside appearance needs improvement. Breakfast area very clean and neat.

Walked in our room lights didn’t want to come on, bathroom door was busted and wouldn’t shut all the way, the room had an awful smell, the hair dryer wouldn’t work, was advertised with pool put the pool had been filled in with concrete. The bedroom door to outside had a crack all around it to where you could see outside

Wow this place. They was doing construction on the room under us and I have a headache right now because I could sleep. The room smelled weird like cigarettes and they tried to cover it up. The room made me itchy. There's ton of things I can say about this place and nothing good.

It was a pleasent stay. No pool didnt like that there was a refridgerator cabanet that was falling apart but all in all it was a pleasent stay

Liked the customer service. Check in was later than 3. My room wasn't ready. Gave me another room noisy fridge phone not working. Went back to original room that was finally ready. Noisy people next door. Finally got in my room after 4 to get some rest

I came in town due to a family emergency. My booking was for Wed. to Thurs, not Thurs to Friday. timing was on the cusp. The wonderful young man Darrius helped me with my bag due to a back injury and was very Pleasant. When I found out in a.m, I needed to book another night. The women or GM (probably owner) said she had to move me if I wanted another night for pay more money, though I was booked and paid through Hotels.com. She said I was upgraded to a KS bed. I did not ask for upgrade, could be hotel was full and that is what was available. I felt I should not be penalized for something I did not do, I just wanted to stay where I was since I booked, same room again. She was adamant about it being extra. I wasn't going to wait to recheck in at 2p.m, She explained, oh no, not what I said, in any event, she wanted to argue her point home. That is not how you treat people. Just let it go! $10.36... If I were in your shoes, I would of appeased the customer. Lousy PM

Wasn’t fully clean, staff wouldn’t let us have more towels

Roaches and other bugs found in my room complete waste of my 79 dollars i mosr definitely will not stay there again.
