Fullerton Marriott at California State University

The bathroom was horrible, and several others at our conference who stayed there also commented on this, especially the lack of hot water at any hour at all, so we all had to take cold showers. Also, there is a pocket door to the bathroom, which would have been OK, except it's only wood around the edges, and the rest is translucent glass or plastic, so you hardly have any privacy. Yuck! Why would anyone even THINK this is OK?

Very clean and nice area of town, but the shower was cold and water pressure very weak. Beds are doubles, not queens.

Overall the room was very nice The pillows did not allow me to get a good nights sleep. Cleaning staff walked in on me and my spouse twice during my stay.

This was the perfect location. It’s next to the college where we attended our son’s graduation. We walked and didn’t have to worry about parking. The lobby was decorated to celebrate the graduates. That was so niice to see. Also the area with the bar there were also lounges that were nice. Our family played some games that were there. We also enjoyed the pool. Staff was so nice and helpful. We would very much recommend this hotel.

We were there for a graduation. The hotel was decorated with Cal State Fullerton memorabilia. There was even a photo booth with props. The room was immaculate. However, the shower is very weak. The room heater automatically turned on when we left for a few hours. Not a big deal, but it was 80 degrees outside! Other than that, we enjoyed our one-night stay.

We have stayed at this hotel anytime we were visiting our CSUF student over the last 4 years, and it has been a great experience each stay. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the facility is always very clean. There are plenty of places around the property to relax and enjoy the Southern California weather. We appreciated the water, coffee and snacks in the concierge room and would definitely take advantage of that again! Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for any CSUF parent!

I have no complaints except you had to be a member to get the free gift bag with the water and chips but the receptionist was nice and gave it to me anyway. The staff was nice and courteous from beginning to the end of our stay. The bartender made excellent drinks. Rooms and property very clean

My mother and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend to attend a celebration of life for a close family member. Our experience at the Marriott was simply wonderful— from the warm greetings at our first check in, to the phenomenal staff at breakfast on our last morning, we were treated like royalty. This allowed us to fully enjoy the trip, despite our circumstances. I need to specially shout out Denise; the cheerful, helpful, quick, and extremely kind server who was present at breakfast both Saturday April 25 and Sunday April 26. We watched her treat every single guest with excellent service and an amazing attitude, handling every request with efficiency and genuine care. Along those same lines was Gabriel, also serving breakfast on Sunday April 26, who personally made sure my weary mother was in good spirits by paying extra attention to our table. I cannot forget to include Ele, the young woman at the check-in desk that fully explained the Marriott’s policies to a newcomer (me). I witnessed her handle several guest inquiries at once with grace and professionalism. All of these staff members are a perfect example of what customer service should be, and must be recognized for exceeding expectations. If you are looking for a talented team to provide the best service possible, look no further than Denise, Gabriel, and Ele at the Fullerton Marriott at CSU. Thank you for making our weekend special!

Hot tub and gym. Pool was okay but a little chilly even though it says heated. Concierge was only one day and not on Friday to Saturday. This property is right next to the free way and very loud and noisy. Pool deck could use resurfacing.

The mini fridge should have a freezer. I brought a cooler bag for the road trip but could not refreeze the blue ice for the ride home.

We were on a hurry and couldn't wait to be fixed, so we had to leave our room without thaking a shower. and the air dryer didn't work as well

Quality hotel. The hotel restaurant was a wonderful place to sit and watch the games ( we were there during March Madness). The food was excellent and Sergio was an amazing server! Hotel pool and hot tub were very nice. The pool furniture was comfy and relaxing. The rooms were also equipped with everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

Unfortunately, the mattresses in room 236 are the worst we've ever slept on. We woke up with neck, back, and hip pain because they are as hard as a rock and have a lump in the middle of the bed. This might be specific to this room, but the location is convenient if you're staying there as a student at USC Fullerton. The place could improve by adding EV charging stations and replacing the old mattresses.

The blankets had stains and I showed the receptionist and she said it was the feathers of the blanket but it was brown and in different spots. She just tried to convince me it was the feathers. My stay was good but I the blankets didn’t look clean.

All was fine except for “pet friendly”- that nonsense needs to stop. For those individuals that want to sleep with animals need to reserve rooms at a barn and seek psychological treatment.

We only stayed one night with a late check in. Unfortunately we did not enjoy most of the amenities the hotel had to offer.

The young lady that was working the desk was exemplary and helping me deal with getting the bill paid which I had accidentally done through billing.com. She emailed my county a credit card authorization form and got it filled out after two issues and eventually got the room paid in full while I was completing company training. She made the trip.. Pretty much having to bookthrough booking.com rather than call the hotel directly as a pain. The fact that there wasn’t complementary coffee throughout the day I found disturbing for the price one is paying, when most other hotels, give complementary coffee and creamer! One has to pay for the breakfast and that complementary breakfast like even some of the smaller hotels do.

I was so surprised. Fullerton is an old town and I was delighted to see a nice hotel. Lots of great amenities and friendly front desk and staff.

I would only recommend that the not keep the hallway so cold, and change the bathroom door to a regular door instead of a clear barn door. The light was too bright for the room and also add a fan for the bathroom

I specifically got this hotel for the usage and accessibility to wheelchairs and it wasn’t working! The first day the jacuzzi was the only one working but we wanted to use the pool, the remaining of the days it stopped working.

The room didn't appear to be as clean as expected and one of the beds looked slept in, but we didn't mind entirely. What was troubling was when we undid the covers, we found creamy colored pieces of plastic, which appeared to look like a certain contraceptive. We had a long day at Disney Land and didn't want to have to move our things, so we tried to convince ourselves it was something else and went to bed. I cannot confirm for certain what that was, but the combination of the messy bed is what made me write this review.

The state was decent, not the nearest property, but not the oldest either very close to the college, which was great and utilize the spa & pool. I was not able to get late check out as my VIP status provided as they said it was not available. Other than that. They were great and found some items that I left in the room by accident by checking out early.

The rooms are very nice. The staff was very professional. The things that they don't tell you.... Parking is $22.00 a night and they don't have complementary breakfast. I have stayed at other places that are less expensive and not as nice and they had something to offer for breakfast. I grabbed a bagel and my room was charged $5. Other than that, we had a great time.

We stayed in room 307. It is unique in the shape. My only concern is that there was very little light. The light switches were on a timer and went off about every 10-15 minutes. The main bathroom light was the same. If there was a way the lights could stay on and there was brighter light throughout the room, it could have been better.

A bottle of Evian water in your room for $8 and $22 a night to park at a place that your paying to stay seems odd. Especially since they charge College Students less to use the parking lot. No free Breakfast, which i didnt mind because i got a voucher from expedia and id rather pay for a great breakfast that have to eat a sub par for free. The outdoor pool was very nice, well maintained and decorated. It was also heated All the staff were great and welcoming.

unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. I was placed in what seemed to be one of the worst rooms—tucked in the very back corner with an unusually long, awkward hallway inside the room. The air conditioning was broken and made an incredibly loud noise, making it impossible to relax or sleep.

The staff was exceptionally kind-especially the head chef of the restaurant, to our elderly mothers, who could not attend the CSUF graduation. Your head chef personally brought her laptop to their table so they could watch the graduation. Priceless!

For us it was very convenient to Cal State Fullerton as we were there for a graduation. It was a short walk to where the ceremony was held. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall we were very happy with our stay and it was located in such a way that it was easy to travel to the other locations we needed to go to while out there. We'd go back again.

My son and I stayed so we could visit the university next door. It was such a great stay. I’ve been looking at colleges that accepted him into their musical theatre programs with him since March. Our two best stays were in Rochester, NY and in Fullerton. Both at Marriotts. Please let the staff know they were great. The front desk was always very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is great to stay out if you’re traveling with a group. The easy to access restaurant and bar made it easy to meet up before and after events. I was not happy with our room because it was right at the entrance to the elevator from the hallway and was right by an icemaker. It was extremely loud. In the future, I’ll be sure to inquire about the proximity of my room to the elevators.

This is our go to hotel when visiting our daughter at Cal State Fullerton. It is super close to the school and makes a convenient resting spot. The rooms are always nicely clean and comfortable, and our interactions with hotel staff have always been pleasant. We have probably stayed here more than any other hotel, and would highly recommend. The breakfast buffet is a little on the basic side, but we usually go to "Our Nest" around the corner anyway, which is one of Fullerton's best breakfasts.

The property itself is okay but the staff doesn't seem excited to be there and the pricing changes wildly from week to week. Do not stay on the second floor as you can hear all the noise from the lobby all the way down the hallway and into the rooms. This was a great place to stay in the past, but the staff and the noise take away from all that. There are better options in the area for this amount of money.

I used to stay here every 2 months for business trip since 2019 . This is the first time I have problems with my stay. The room is smell bad. Lightning is very poor. Bathroom dark and look dirty. My bed sheets smell like smoked and old. I just don't want to complain but its really surprising me.The check in is very unprofessional and not friendly. Noisy at night time . Very disappointed.

We had other family members staying 5 other rooms. The only negative comment we had is the freeway noise kept me up for awhile. I would suggest heavy drapes to dampen the noise. ;
