The staff was excellent.

Easy access to get in and out , parking lot really clean , receptionist was friendly and greeted us as soon as we came in .smelled clean and looked even better , rooms were spotless , beds are extremely comfortable!! We loved the pool and hot tub !! We didn’t get a chance to eat breakfast there because we ate elsewhere but it smelled amazing . The only complaints I have is they don’t carry change at the front desk and the vending machine only accepts one dollar bills. But it was a store really close by so it wasn’t too much of a hassle. We would definitely be staying here again when we come back out to visit family 10 out 10 experience 🙂

Walls were dirty, floor was dirty, no clean washcloths and towels. Was told would have to wait up to two hours two days straight for clean laundry. Room 110 had rusty tub and requested to move to a different room, Requesting a refund,

Close to 95 Hotel room didn’t lock. Almost fell in bathroom. Had to ask for towels there were none in the room when we got there.

Curtain/shade had multiple holes (I’m assuming due to age) allowing light in the room. Carpet in room had multiple stains and was worn down in places. First floor/lobby reeked of weed the evening when we left for dinner and when we returned. We were on the 3rd floor and it did not smell bad and the floor was very quiet. Bed was comfortable and the shower was hot and strong. It took almost 8 minutes to get hot. I did appreciate having a dorm sized refrigerator in the room. Breakfast was okay-typical hotel breakfast.

The hotel was affordable. The hotel room was a good size overall but the bedroom does not have too much room. Breakfast is a nice perk. Room comes with a fridge and microwave automatically which isn't standard nowadays. Good amount of outlets in the room. Room reeked of smoke up on entry so we had to keep the fan/ac on the entire stay. Hotel was unable to identify the origin of the smoke (duh it was the last guests along with the cigarette burns on the carpet). The hot water in the shower was hit or miss. I tried to take a shower in the evening no hot water. Woke up at 2am tried again no hot water. Let the water run for a while (like 5 minutes) finally some hot water. Room had a less than clean look about it. The carpet seemed a bit dull/dusty and the couch has seen better days. There is a charge for a crib- this sends a message that they are not family friendly. After being told about this charge, I will not return here and instead patronize places that don't penalize you for having a child.

I love this hotel. My family and I have stayed in it once a year for the last 4 years. The location is perfect for what we need, it has a pool, and breakfast. Plus it's quaint. As stated above, this is our 4th stay here. The hotel smelled of weed nearly the whole time. I don't care what people do, but do not like the smell of it! Also, for a hotel that states explicitly no pets, barking was heard. Could have been a service dog, but unknown. The bathtub also needs some tlc or updating. I understand aging, but it appeared dirty.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Country Inn and Suites and would definitely stay again! Everything was great!

The hall way smelled very bad. The rug in the room was stained and dirty. The toilet in our room didn’t refill after flushing. We had to keep opening the tank to do it manually. We arrived close to midnight and we were only staying the one night so we just dealt with it.

As soon as I walked it..i could smell the dirty carpets and cigarettes smells..The furniture in my room was noticeably dirty..Bathroom sink was cracked and the water was backing up..Shower head was from the year 1980..the room smelled of cigarettes..was a very uncomfortable stay..Will not recommend anyone.

Cleanness and the staff Well for one I was supposed to have a room on the first floor and it was supposed to have two beds my room was on the second floor and I only had one bed! I was very disappointed when I arrived there

Room was dirty, pillowcases were filthy looking like sweat stains on 2 of the 4 of them. The room smelled like a cat litter box, that hasn't been changed in a bit. Something that didn't affect the stay, whomever painted the room last, decided they'd paint around the thermometer, instead of removing and painting behind it and around it, it looked half ass. The breakfast definitely went downhill fast, they now only have one waffle machine which has a line, eggs and sausage gravy. No sausage, nothing else besides cereal. We have stayed here probably close to 10 times already, but will not be coming back. It would be my bet that they recently sold it to a new owner, who's just trying to profit off of it, without spending money on the facilitys. Also one of the two elevators were out of service also.

Overall great stay! Very nice and cozy stay with comfortable beds, and a nice clean snd hot shower with big breakfast options. Hot tub needs updating since the jets barely work and the tiling job is very worn/patchy. Overall the property had a bit of a smoke smell but was not overwhelming and everything looked very clean. The bathroom looked recently updated but didn’t have a fan. Breakfast had waffles and eggs and sausage available with great staff, and the location was perfect!

The Suites 1st room key didn't work when the desk worker came to get door open. The room we were supposed to have smelled like pot. He changed our room to a double and it was a dump.

I haven't had that good of a night sleep in awhile. So peaceful and quiet. The suite was a bit aged but well maintained. I really enjoyed my stay, I will definitely stay at this location again.

The breakfast offered less choice than our last stay but on the flip side they offered ketchup fr my scrambled eggs which they did not offer previously. What was offered was fresh and good.

The breakfast menu was fresh and the air conditioning kept the room cool.

The mini fridge had leaked water, so the carpet was wet long enough that the whole room smelled like mildew, even mold. THEY gave us a towel to put on the carpet so our feet wouldn't get wet. The A/C unit was functioning well, but it was about as loud as a gas-powered lawn mower. Neither of us slept very well. The windows don't open, so there is no way to air-out the smells other than to keep the door open. As you enter the hotel it has a very nice entry with a library of books and comfortable seating. They offer free breakfast and WIFI. Check out time is a generous 12:00 PM, and we left as quickly as we could, and will NOT return. We recommend that you seek other accommodations!

Had problem with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, Two were mounted on the wall in the shower. The other on a shelf. Only had use of one arm and had no idea how to use them.. Just had to push them against the wall to get enough to get clean. Simple little containers would have been more useful.

I was given a room that the AC didn’t work, the shower was broken, the mini fridge was also broken with the carpet wet in front of it. I was planning to stay multiple weekend for event that I am working. Canceled and rebooked at another hotel.

The room was big enough for my mom’s wheelchair. Breakfast was very good There was no armed chair for my mom to sit in . So she had to sit in her wheelchair. Some nasty stains in the carpet and bathroom needed to be cleaned better. Drain in the bathroom had no cover someone could get hurt

I have never stayed in a hotel where you could not close the curtains all the way!! The window faced a busy, well lit road. If u can’t sleep unless it’s really dark you will be in trouble. Rooms could use a refresher too

The room was as clean as they could make it considering the carpet, furniture and bathroom fixtures are badly in need of replacement. The staff is clearly working hard to keep things in good condition, but honestly what can you do if the owners haven’t updated in quite a few years. If they’re charging more than $100 a night, you’re paying too much for what you get.

Descent breakfast

Although I was genuinely happy with the sweet staff at breakfast (the kindest woman who was so sweet and loving to my 5 kiddos), the property was ROUGH. It smelled awful of weed throughout the hallways and rooms, and my kids asking if 'a skunk got hit on the road near us'. The carpets were stained with all kinds of colors in the rooms. There were zero sheets for the pull out sofa and only one small extra blanket to use for it. The doors to the rooms were so hard to open in spite of doing the 'tricks' of turning handles up vs down and leaving the guest card in vs sliding in and out. We booked two suites because of how many of us there were (9 total) but they had them on two different floors and far apart initially. At check-in, she was trying to help by moving our rooms to the same floor, but it meant a downgrade to a basic queen room for half the members of our party and less space. Instead of any kind of partial refund, we were just told someone else would be happy with the 'free upgrade' to our missed suite and that we wouldn't be charged the typical hold for 'incidentals'. The pool is as small as the room, the 'spa' had 1 jet of 6 working so it was more of a warm bathtub. The vending machines take your money but dont give items in return. And don't expect a refund because "that's another company" that runs the vending machines. If we had to spend more than a night there, we would have just left.

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice. My most recent time staying here was for 5 nights. They said every 3 days, housekeeping will come. I received a text that housekeeping would come by my room but when i got back to the room later that evening, they never came. It was an easy fix of going downstairs to ask the front desk for a fresh set of towels but a little inconvenient that the room didn’t get freshened up. I love the breakfast and coffee in the mornings though!

The Country Inn and Suites is close to I-95 and Fredericksburg. The staff were really nice. Breakfast was good. It’s an older property that could use some updating to the carpet and wallpaper, but overall a good value.

There appeared to be mold on the ceiling. We requested a new room and were quickly accommodated. The new room smelled better but had stains/burn marks on the carpet.

It was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but wreaked of cigarettes, the carpeting was stained all over, the walls had patches all over, the pillowcases/pillows were stained, the furniture looked like it had gotten chewed by mice and never replaced, there was some black spray paint on the toilet and scratches in the tub that were stained orange/red. Soon as I walked in the room and saw all of this I walked back out with my kids and told the staff we couldn't stay there, gave them the reasons, showed them the pictures (which I still have) and asked for a refund. They told me they would give Hotels.com permission to refund me the $199 and that it wasn't a problem. Hotels.com got back with me and said that the hotel refuses to refund my money so I will be contacting the Radisson corporation and letting them know about the terrible accommodations and the lies about my refund! Highly dissatisfied! If I could give them lower than a 1 star I would!

My husband was also going back to the room s few times to get things are the front desk lady asked no less than 4 times if he was ready to check out. If I was there I would have told her off. People go to the desk when they're ready to check out, don't need to be bothered a bunch of times before we're ready.

They told me I was at the other one on Warrenton Road. Was not happy that I had to go find the other hotel. I did notice that the hotel but I booked that was jammed packed full of people. I think y’all just pushed me over to the other location may not use Expedia again have to think about it.

The staff was very helpful. Anything we needed, as far as toiletries, extension cord, etc., they were very accommodating. The hot breakfast was very nice, and included in the price. They alternated some of the special breakfast dishes, including biscuits and gravy and cheese, omelettes, but they always had fresh Belgian waffles you could make. I would stay here again.

The property was good. However when we went to go back to our room the key didn’t work and the receptionist wasn’t there and was missing for 1/2 hour. We called Country Inn and Suites and they could not find him. He finally showed up and got us in our room it took 40 minutes to get us in our room. We were tired after having worked a busy day. It was really annoying.

The location was good. The check in was efficient and polite. However the carpet in the room was so gross with stains, I wore my shoes the entire time and it made me question the cleanliness of everything else. The furniture was old and outdated. It’s a shame because the hotel choices in that area are limited.

My husband’s wallet was stolen at the hotel. It curiously reappears at the front desk AFTER someone tried to use it at Sam’s club. $120.00 gone !! All cards and ID were there including Sam’s club card. Front desk lady said “this happens all the time “. And was taken back when we told her we tracked it back and it was in the hotel. Her demeanor was questionable. The manager called me later and told me the wallet was found/turned in but no $$$. She said things like this almost never happens. She was a lovely lady and was most helpful. Cathrine is her name. Our trip was delayed and added a great inconvenience also.

Stayed here many times on our way to Florida. Sad to see the condition it has fallen into. Stains in the carpet black marks all over the walls. Dust everywhere. Beds were great as usual. I hope they update it soon.

Clean and friendly, no tv but service quickly got us one, they also swiftly got us more pillows. Like that they give a noon time checkout. The only downfall is they do not have hot water for a shower. This was our second visit with no hot water. Will stay somewhere else next time.

Expedia did not send the booking info so there was a little confusion at check in. The staff was very helpful.

the air conditioner was very noisy making crackling sounds all night. Thank goodness I brought ear plugs. Otherwise clean, nice staff and good breakfast

Huge pool and gym (would have used it if I wasn’t so tired from driving). A/C was already set to cold before I got in my room. Pillows weren’t as firm as I like but the king size bed made up for it.

The fourth floor of the property had a terrible smell for the two days we were there. Our room had stains all over the carpet throughout the suite. There was writing on the walks, multiple scuff marks. The tub had brown scratches. The black out blinds had multiple holes.

On check in i showed my service dog's credentials and was asked what services he provided. I have been told in the past that it is illegal for the hotel to ask. That showing his credentials is sufficient. The room is ok but the carpet is stained and there is mold around the upper lip around the sink. The corners is the bathroom look as though they haven't been cleaned. It's my firdt stay st a Country Inns and I guess we will stay at Hampton Inns in the future. They are a bit more expensive but I've never had an issue in any of their hotels.

The room.was not well cleaned and the AC system was problematic but we weren't there for the room and it was doable.

Everything was going good until we noticed that the key access on our door was not working and the door wasn't locking properly. The hotel was booked so we didn't have another option. My family and I did not feel safe because anyone could open our door.

We had a late check in and the lady at the front desk was friendly and alert. Unfortunately, there a strong odor in the hallway and room, stains on the carpet and bathtub, and lumpy bed. This is just a pit stop on a long journey but this is definately a hotel that can say, “you get what you pay for.” If you’re on vacation and want a nice hotel, find another. If you’re looking for a quick overnight, reluctantly consider.

It was ok for a cheap stop over. We both got up at 3:00 am and decided to hit the road.

There was nobody at the front desk when we arrived. I called out, I knocked on the door, I called on the house phone….i waited at least ten minutes before anyone arrived at the desk. Even then he was on the phone and talked on the phone the entire time he checked me in, I had to keep asking if he was talking to me or the person on the phone, He just pointed to our room as he continued talking.

The room was not worth the price, as the bathroom wasn’t clean - there was hair in the sink and something sticky on the vanity top - and the bedroom carpet was very stained, which was gross. Breakfast was disappointing, because all the hot food was gone when we went downstairs a few minutes before 9am, and they didn't replenish it. We won't stay here again.

The hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. Especially the carpets in the room, which were so stained we kept our socks on. However, the linens and bathroom were clean.

The outside of the hotel had a cute country appeal with white rocking chairs out front as well as the lobby had a nice country feel. The actual room smelled a little like cigarette smoke. The carpet and paint was a little dingy. We didn't even get a bath mat for the shower. We had breakfast plans so we didn't try the breakfast. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet.

Hallways: Carpeting was stained and smelled dank and musty, along with marijuana Room was not cleaned well: hair in shower, lampshade broken, furniture dated and dusty, tv channel signage in room handwritten and very poorly. Breakfast had minimal choices with broken waffle maker.

The bathtub for the room had mold in the caulking and the inside of the tub was stained with blood or some other staining. My wife couldn’t take her usual bath before bed.

The hotel was normal in appearance but once we got to our room we found the carpet in the room was stained so bad we wore shoes the entire time which made us wonder is the rest of the room was clean or disinfected. The lobby was nice in appearance and everything was in a neatly order, but that carpet in our room was truly disgusting. The breakfast was as advertised and clean and good. Not sure if I would stay there again, there were cheaper options but we thought spending 25.00 more would insured a cleaner lodging option, I was wrong.

Duvet cover appeared to be soiled on the edges. The window darkener had some holes. The signs on the grounds were displaced. The eggs were somewhat cool and the breakfast sausage were overdone. Lastly, there were stains on the carpet.

Rooms were roomy. Carpet is worn and tired. Had temporary issues with hotwater & another guest had continuous issues with his door's card reader. Hot tub was "out of order". PLEASE post such things on website, as it was a deciding factor for choice of hotel.

Staff was very nice. Average microwave ready breakfast. But plenty for everybody. Cereal, bagels, etc.. no Internet in the hotel when we were there and they did not give us any credit. They said the router was down. They were replacing it in a few days.

This hotel is the definition of deferred maintenance. Our group had three rooms. Each had stains in the carpeting. Didn’t feel safe to walk the rooms unless wearing your shoes. Bathrooms were nasty. Tubs and tile need grout. Looked like mold in places. Our tub also had a giant rust stain in the bottom. Our room literally looked like there was a previous physical altercation: artwork and mirror had corners broken off the frames and they were hanging crooked on the wall. Wi-Fi was down while we stayed. Positives: breakfast was as it should be. Staff was sympathetic to our feedback. I think the issues are outside their control. Pay $50 more for a nicer stay somewhere else is my recommendation.

The carpets, chair, and couch were stained. The pull out sofa mattress was disgusting and flat - you could feel the metal bars digging in. The toliet seat was stained as well as the tub floor. Breakfast was limited. The wi-fi was out and door keys did not work well.

Very nice hotel. We stopped on our way through the area and were very pleased with the stay. Also a nice breakfast was available.

There were all kinds of people just lingering around the property. They did not bother us. But we still felt like we had to proceed with caution as we left and entered the property.

The hotel is clean and comfortable even though a bit dated. Great breakfast. Nice to have a fridge. Would return. We recommend NY Kebab down the street for dinner. Fantastic food. Best of our whole week long 4 city vacation.

The rugs were filthy and covered in stains. The mattress sunk in when you sat on the bed, the pillows were awful. Everything about this stay was gross. I do not recommend.

So, I’m going to start looking at age of hotels. This place needs renovations stat! Just old and beat up.

Very friendly staff, definitely out dated and needs some up grades. We were very disappointed the hot tub was not working and from reading previous reviews it looks like it has been out of order for a while. I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone.

The hotel was very lobby had a smell, the bathroom was not in the best shape. Missing pieces at the sink and cracks in the sink that were glued back. The tub had black around the chalking.

I reserved a room with 2 queen beds but all they had was a bed with an uncomfortable pull out couch. The woman working the desk was very nice and helpful but they had no 2 queen rooms left.

Even so, I feel embarrassed. I’d read some of the reviews and it seemed as though this was a decent place to stay. So a warning to disregard the reviews saying that the rooms are clean and pass as relatively comfortable.

Did not clean are room for 5 days. Other than that everything was fine.

Not sure how this hotel has an 8 rating on Expedia. Tired and dirty. Hotels should be required to tell you that folks on social assistance are living there! Breakfast was horrible.

Sadly this hotel has badly declined since our last visit several years ago. The carpet was dirty, bedding and towels are low quality, no comfortable side chair to sit on, 2 lightbulbs out on bathroom fixture, broken outlet to charge cell phone. Hallways and eating area barely air conditioned. It will be our last stay at this hotel.

Carpet had several stains on it. Bathroom door had nails sticking out at top. Bathroom Door was sticking when you shut it. Had rust all over door at hinges. Pool was not open the whole stay there. Couldn't run microwave unless we unplugged the fridge. It kept blowing the fuse.

We got the room traveling through. We were on the road all day and the website didn’t not say anything about the hot tub or pool being closed. So that was the first major disappointment. The room was clean but furniture was very worn down and the bathroom floor had missing tile pieces. The bathroom in general was not in the best shape. I fixed the toilet a couple times. I’m confused by the good reviews I seen. Next time I’ll choose something else.

We booked this hotel purposely for the pool and hot tub. Upon arrival we were notified that both the pool and hot tub were out of service. The hotel was nice and staff were friendly but we were very disappointed that the amenities we booked for were not available.

Property could use some updating

I have absolutely nothing to say bad. It was a perfect check-in, accommodations for a disabled visitor, a delicious breakfast including scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, sausage, bacon, toast, bagels, cereal, muffins, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and cocoa, juices and milk. Check out was a breeze. Bed and pillows were comfy. Room was clean. I’d visit this property again. Thank you for a great experience

Staff was nice. Lobby was clean and the room and bathroom appeared clean however, once the air freshener wore off the room smelled like cat pee. We were only there for one night on a long trip so we did not ask to change rooms.

We stayed one night on our way south. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok.

Web site said they had a working hot tub. When we got there, we were informed that the hot tub been down for quite a while. Very disappointing.

The bathroom was not completely clean upon arrival. There was black men’s hair both in the sink, on the sink, and on the base of the toilet. There was also paper under the dust ruffle of the bed nearest the window which had not been vacuumed. The air flow was intense and the room was either too hot or too cold. There was no happy medium. Lastly, there was an oppressive smell of marijuana on the fourth floor as soon as we exited the elevator that also permeated our room, which was not appreciated with 3 small children.

BEWARE -- I was DOUBLE CHARGED for the security deposit and neither Hotels.com nor Country Inn & Suites would do anything about it. I was told I have to wait 5-7 business days to get my money back. This is totally unacceptable that I have to wait so long for their error and pretty sketchy behavior from Country Inn & Suites. I will be in the area frequently over the next 4 years and I will NOT BE BACK

The lobby has warm, inviting atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable. I wish the tv was larger and the shower had more pressure. but. for the price, an enjoyable stay.

1st handicapped room we tried smelled like smoke. 2nd handicapped room was better. Enough room for wheelchair and good layout of the bathroom.

This is a very good hotel to stay at. The rooms were clean and very nice. There were a couple of minor issues that presented, such as the tv remote did not function properly and the shower curtain was too small for the bathroom, resulting in flooding of the bathroom floor. Since this is an eco friendly hotel, no clean towels were provided the next day, however was received upon request at the front desk. Just minor issues, but overall a very good hotel to stay. I would certainly recommend to stay here.

We liked the hotel very much, we were in what we think was an handicap accessible room and our water temperature was not even lukewarm 😞. It was kinda late, we didn’t want to call anyone at that point and didn’t want to switch rooms at that point either. Cold shower was not pleasant. Lesson learned.
