Wekopa Casino Resort

Excellent stay, from the moment we checked in till we checked out 3 days later. Staff was friendly. The Casino was nice clean and paid!! All meals were great. The room was clean, had everything we needed, and the bed was so comfortable. The pool was fun, clean, and the staff amazing. We will be back!!

It was an extremely long hike to get from the parking lot to the lobby. Once there, the service was excellent. We checked in on a Wednesday. There were very few options for eating a nice sit down dinner. Just one that we found and it was another hike to get there. I would think that the other restaurants would be open most, if not all days, especially the buffet. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The room was very clean, our main issue was when we tried to check in (we had a reservation) the staff said they overbooked and to wait and they'll call us. We waited 3 hours and hadn't heard from anyone so we just checked back to see if they had anything available and they checked us right in. We were so confused, but we just figured its fine they're busy, we also got our bags checked and when we got to our hotel room they almost gave us the wrong bags. We figured it was the guys first day or something(he was very nice by the way), over all not the worst experience but just a few little hiccups that made our stay quite stressful. But also the check in people were a little confused and rude, again it was a busy weekend, so we don't entirely fault anyone, just not the perfect stay for us.

His is a very clean facility with friendly staff. The pool area is well maintained and provided a fun atmosphere. We are surprised with complimentary breakfast vouchers that was a great saver and great meals all 3 days of our stay.

It was fine overall. I will say I was to get a room with a view (pool or mountains) and I didn’t get either due booking through a 3rd party. Frustrating. Other than that it was nice…pool staff and bar staff were great.

Breakfast buffet was amazing! Huge variety, fresh and cooked perfectly. I can't believe we live only 30 minutes away and haven't tried it. We'll be back again.

The hotel was really clean and had a nice view. The rooms were well kept and comfortable. The only downside was the AC, it made a loud, weird noise every time it turned on. Also, the cafeteria is all the way down in the casino, so there’s nothing to eat inside the hotel itself.

Only stayed 1 night, did not step into casino. Fitness room lacked working equipment. Fairly clean.

This is a really nice, reasonably priced, well kept property. The Casino offers $10 table limits, and that did not raise at night or weekends. Plenty of tables were open when we stayed, and dealers on standby to play solo if you wished. Restaurants on the property are all good. Our dinner at Ember was fabulous. The pool is nice and never seemed overcrowded for a holiday week. Hotel staff is well trained and friendly.

I had a pleasant stay at the Wekopa. The property is beautiful, well maintained and the room was spacious. The breakfast at the WKP sports bar was fantastic, they offer Starbucks coffee.most of the staff were very friendly. Nice place to stay. Only 20-25 min from the Phoenix airport.

Loved everything. We stayed for two nights not to gamble, but just to enjoy the heat of Arizona. The pool area was beautiful -great views of the mountains. It even had horse shoes, a little mini golf and beanbag area. It was very handy to have the restaurants there as well. Not a complaint but wish they offered a 2queen room with a sofabed.

This is a very nice casino resort. The food and service at restaurants was better than most - even the buffet was delicious! The rooms are a good size, casino very clean. The only thing less than 5 stars were beds were ok but not luxurious, pillows a little hard and it’s about 15 minutes from other restaurants etc in Scottsdale. Golf was wonderful, expensive but worth it.

We loved the pools and hot tubs. We had all our meals at the WKP sports bar and loved the food, drinks, staff and music. We did a deep tissue massage at the spa; excellent service. There’s a lot of above and beyond little perks here. I think it’s the staff at all the areas of the resort that really make the difference and make it an excellent vacation. I would definitely stay here again.

Property was very well kept up. Very nice pool area. Not far from Scottsdale as well as expressways. Rooms were very quiet. Would stay again.

Asides having issues one day with no hot water and low water pressure everything was great. I notified staff about the issue and it was resolved later the same day.

I arrived at reception and they gave me a room with two beds when I had reserved one with a king-size bed and a mountain view. I went back to reception and they told me that they only had that room with two beds available. Then they gave me one with a king-size bed, but without the mountain view. The bed smelled bad, the pillows, everything smelled bad.

The food at the sports bar was excellent. We ate there for breakfast and dinner. The Reuben sandwich was excellent. YWe were told that checkout was 11 am. My wife and I got up at 9 and headed to breakfast at 9:30. We came back to the room at 10:30, but couldn’t get back into our room, the card wouldn’t work. We were told that we have to go to the front desk to get a new key card because they shut off at 10am. We walked back down to the front desk and renewed the key only to go back up to the room and it didn’t work. This was aggravating and wasted a half hour of our time trying to checkout and leave. Your key should work until 11 am or reveal that information to us and we would have taken our belongings to the car and then went back and had breakfast. Other than that last minute problem, our stay was very pleasant and fun.

Staff seemed disengaged and frustrated when asked for something inside their scope of responsibility. I.e bartenders rolling their eyes when asking for a drink. We won't go back because the culture is terrible.

I booked a room for convenience, as I was seeing a concert in the same facility. I had never been there before. I was impressed. The property was beautifully landscaped and maintained. The pool area had two different pools and a hot tub. The entire pool area was clean and towels were already on the chaise lounge chairs. The larger of the two pools had 4 waterfalls into the pool. Soaking in the hot tub and cooling off in the pool was very refreshing. The room was comfortable, felt like it has recently been remodeled and was right down the hall from the entrance of the concert I was there to attend. The ONLY open sit down restaurant was short staffed Sunday morning. There should have been more wait staff to accommodate weekend vacation visitors. The staff did the best they could with a positive attitude.

I think if you're a guest at the hotel, you should have access to the amenities over people who are NOT guests at the hotel. Very disappointing Christmas stay.

The room felt a bit dated. The hand soap was difficult to wash off, and the lotion had an unpleasant scent. That said, the in-room amenities were great, and the rest of the casino and restaurants were very nice.

The staff were courteous and helpful. The accommodations were comfortable. Pleasantly surprised on the service and dining options on Thanksgiving day. I do think the resort fee is a little much. This should be reduced since it was increased during Covid. Covid pricing continues.

I liked the bed it was very comfortable. I liked the makeup mirror and hair dryer in the bathroom. I didn't like the door. For some reason it open/ unlocked a couple of times. I had to double check it. I didn't like that I over paid for the room. I didn't like that it didn't include breakfast. But I did eat at the sports bar with my guest. Sadly we both got stomach problems. So we didn't bother eating breakfast there. I didn't like that I bought my tickets for the concert through event tickets and found out I over paid for that too. I over all over paid for around 300.00 dollars. So I will never do this again.We did enjoy the concert though.

Everyone was helpful and I loved the complementary breakfast up to $20 every morning on site! I also love the pool area even though I didn't use the pool this time it was very clean and it's pretty to lay out or just lounge and read a book, I will be going back I love the casino and sports bar! It was bingo there but I didn't get a chance to play! So I will be back

As always, the breakfast was lovely...BUT the normal dining area at Ahnala is closed. I checked out and had to carry my bags all the way over to the Sports Bar. A little notification prior would have helped. The same lovely and hardworking staff were there, but I missed the intimacy of the little cafe area.

Breakfast at the sports bar was very good. Server there was the best. She really went out of her way to take care of us.

All of the Staff was really nice and helpful. Casino was clean and smelled good. all the rest room as well. All the pools were clean, huge and had a fire pit and a Jacuzzi. A few restaurants to choose to eat the best one is Ember. Unfortunately, no free breakfast but they have room service plenty of parking and if you like you can do valet we will definitely be staying here again.

Very friendly staff. ❤️ Clean establishment. The outside was beautiful. The ice machine on our floor was broken. Our bathroom fixtures leaked. The room & furniture were a lesser expensive hotel quality. I was expecting resort quality for the price.

Charged $29 per day resort fee.. with no pool bar manned or anyone taking orders for food or drinks which meant a traipse into the centre of the casino gaming area to order refreshments & then carry them back to the pool area .. totally unacceptable in my book. Complained on check out on receiving bill about the resort charges & lack of staff. You guessed it .. sorry nothing we can do… management in a meeting

But this time they made a change to where breakfast is now being served. They are serving in the Sports Bar which is very uncomfortable place to eat. I really don't want to do breakfast and dinner in the same place. When we left there was absolutely nobody in there.

We called ahead of time to confirm whether the Canelo vs. Crawford fight was going to be shown. We were assured that it was by whoever was working the phones. We arrived on 09/12 with the intention of having a pool day on 09/13 & then dinner & the fight. Once we arrived, we tried to confirm the fight, but no one in the sports room could confirm. They told us they would let us know the next day, but the next day, still no one knew anything. It wasn't until around 3-4 pm that we were told it was not going to be shown. To stream in our room. Spoke with mgmt, who offered nothing but to comp our rooms. Normally, this would have been enough, but with zero help, concern about us planning this weekend for this specific reason being ruined, I felt trying to make the rest of the stay by a dinner offer or drink would have been appropriate, but zero offers came through. At first, on Saturday, they told us to leave and said there would be no charge. Anhala restaurant is gone, so you now have to have breakfast in the brightly lit, overstimulating area of the sports bar. This place has just gone downhill. No wait staff at the pool, no hot food service; you must get it yourself. The higher level of service has disappeared. STILL WAITING ON REFUND

Did not like getting locked out of our rooms before 11:00 and that was check out time. Also was giving a price for 3 rooms and price was $70 higher at check out.

The bed was very comfortable with high quality sheets. Staff throughout the hotel was congenial & helpful. The buffet was outstanding, fresh food with quite an extensive variety of foods not mormally seen at this type of venue. No lines, attentive staff.Casino was smoke free & all new machines

Clean and nice.

We were extremely impressed. From fine dining to grab and go, this place had 6-7 different dining experiences. Rooms and commons were nicer than expected. Service and hospitality was top notch. 25 minutes from the city but well worth it. Great pools and amazing views of the mountains. 5⭐️s all Day. We will be returning.

Was a great getaway with a clean casino and good food

When we arrived the front desk clerk was not very helpful and expected us to know. Did not explain property. Deposit is now 100. Got to the room. Kind dirty...bath did not drain right away. My kid found a pill under the chair. Reported it and nothing was done.

Was great as always. My husband and i love staying at wekopa... the only negative was weather & the closong of the pool. A suggestion extend pool hours to midnight of friday and saturdays.

Staff didn’t seem like they wanted to be there. Not pleasant at all. Especially at the WKP. The pool area was run down and chair cushions were gross. Also, you were not allowed to bring in your own water to the pool area. They wanted you to leave it with them at the gate and come over and get a drink whenever thirsty. We had planned to order drinks and food and hang out all day but the staff attitudes and their policies were so off putting that we left a day early. Will never come back here again.

This property is gorgeous and way more luxurious feeling than what i expecting from the photos. The staff was extremely kind to me while I was there and they offered free valet and didnt charge me for an esrly check in. The pool and hot tubs were the highlight of my stay but I also enjoyed the casino floor and sports bar. I just wish they had mkre heslthy dining options.

Dont expect to win in the casinos slots i didnt see hardly anyone winning here and me and my wife pay alot of money and machines felt like they just ate our money wasnt not even entertaining the pool was nice though and the food was good

I would stay here again...the Food at Ahnala was wonderful, the pool, hot tub area was very nice, staff was helpful. The only thing we disliked was we couldn't drive our car up to the hotel lobby to drop off our golf clubs and suitcases. We had to lug them from the parking lot....otherwise great place!

The Casino and Room were very clean. The staff went out of their way to help with whatever I needed. When I looked like I was lost, someone came to me and asked if they could help. The Ember restaurant had excellent food and treated us like guests in their home. I will definitely go back.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close proximity to Mayo-Scottsdale. We had our basset hound with us and they were animal friendly! Great facilities and restaurants on site.

One of the best vacations we have had. The Casino was so clean and the staff was amazing! The dealers were funny and had such positive energy. The room was large enough for us to spread out and be comfortable. Didn't use the kitchenette, but it was nice to know we could have. We decided that we would be going back here instead of a trip to Vegas, such a better pace and much cleaner.

Clean property. That they didn't explain all the extra fees that would be included on the bill. Even though you had booked through a travel agency.

The hotel is super friendly. It's just over priced if you're not on a casino benefit package. The food overall is just ok, nothing great, but well priced.

Great stay. Played golf every day and had breakfast in the Market each morning. The servers in the market were very friendly and courteous

Property and amenities were beautiful and in exceptional condition; pool was by far the best area! Room was clean, comfortable, and updated. Casino slots were very tight; i appreciate at least some small wins but it appeared not many machines were doing anything worthwhile. With the many options available in the Phoenix area, and for the price we paid, i would probably not return to this property.
