Location for the centre of Ft Myers was perfect. We were staying as part of a major wedding anniversary and the staff made a point of congratulating us when we came into contact with them. Plus they sent a bottle of bubbly on ice to the room on our arrival. The views we had from the junior suite was stunning and we sat out on the balcony both nights to take it all in. We had a brunch and an evening meal in the associated eateries and both were excellent. Couldn’t fault any of the staff we encountered, quite the opposite ! We were always greeted with a smile and asking if they could do anything for us. Absolutely nothing.

Hotel is very nice and the staff and service are very good. But they don't tell you in advance that the Night Owl Suite, which is one of their more expensive rooms, is across the street from loud music that goes until 2:00 in the morning.

Great place to stay but after spending 800plus a night got there around 7pm and was told no for late check out HILTON would have given us till 1 sooo…. Beautiful view but would have to get better price and late check out to get me to come back

Nice room. However room service neglected to refresh the coffee service. Also we really looked forward to a swim after an afternoon baseball game and went to swim but were told we could not because a private party was planned for that space. We feel a major amenity was denied us and that is very disappointing.

Great hotel located in the heart of downtown Fort Myers. Clean, modern rooms. Will definitely go back there.

Great room wonderful view over the bay We were on the 12 th floor there is a bar on this floor with fantastic views and a great vibe Beds are super comfortable. Must be a new hotel as it’s well designed. Libby restaurant and coffee shop looked great although we did not use it. We could hear the lift in our room 1208 but it was only slightly annoying. The area is very quiet the Marina has gone post hurricane Ian which must have affected the downtown area a lot That said plenty of bars and restaurants around. Had some WiFi issues can’t believe they charge for it. You can join Bonvoy but it’s a faff. At this price point I would expect brilliant WiFi you can connect to easily and certainly not having to pay extra for it. Come on Marriot what are you thinking? Don’t force customers to join your club just to get WiFi

I suspect it’s because a lot of low flow aerator was installed, but it was beyond that. I suspect the strainer was partially plugged. This is something that the staff should recognize when preparing a room. It’s a relatively newer facility. We found that there was not Apple storage for Clothing. The room also does not have a rack to open your luggage on. I find it hard. That is toilet does not have a separate door from the rest of the bath room. This is not an inexpensive hotel, but to charge an additional $20 plus valet fees plus tipping plus a processing fee for a cost that’s closer to $40 per day to keep your rental vehicle on site is is just unacceptable. We’ve been to other Marriott Bove facilities where we find the staff more genuinely friendly and professional overall.

Communication with management was lacking. Front desk personnel were amazing. Even trying to work with loud bar in lobby. Noise level in room 801 and any room that side of building until 2am was deafening. Other guests (we had 17 rooms) did not have an issue. Room was nice, beds very comfortable.

Only thing I am not happy about is when I was referred to the suite room on 10th floor, hotel did not tell me it is extremely noisy on Friday night until 2am. Which is I paid extra $100 to ‘enjoy’ that noise.

The location was nice and the staff were helpful the bed was comfortable. There was a good restaurant attached for breakfast There’s no instructions in the room on how to operate anything, or info on the restaurants and bars and cafés within the hotel nothing. You have to try to find info via the TV or by calling down. That’s annoying. The place is completely noisy at all times. If it’s not loud music or people yelling or car alarms going off it’s the sound of the Staff elevator cables through the walls. Impossible to sleep well. A third of the loungers at the pool are broken and they rent the pool out for private parties so don’t rely on being able to use the pool if that’s one of the reasons you choose this hotel.

Location is amazing with Bars and restaurants and historic Edison focused. The food was not good ? prices were not bad but definitely lackluster. Fine dining didnt live up to the hype.

They quoted me one price for staying an additional night but then charged a higher amount. I was referred to the manager on duty for an explanation. When speaking to the manager on duty over the phone, she said there was nothing they could do about the up charge because “it was the system” that did it. She claimed that system charged me the previous night’s rate (which was higher) and that it was out of her hands because of the system didn’t allow her to make any changes. All she was able to provide was an apology for their “miscommunication”. Incredulous with that explanation, I later approached her at the front desk upon my checkout. She maintained her previous position until I asked her name as a reference. Suddenly, she was able to over ride “the system” and adjust the rate. When I asked what had changed from one moment to the next, all she was able to say is that she was able to make a change because now “it had become an issue”.

Great location from the theater across the street. Wonderful views :-) The beacon rooftop was wonderful and went there after the theater for food as on Thursday night we were told it stopped serving at 10 PM when we got there at 9:10 PM, we were told the kitchen was closed. Also, the lights were turned up at 9:30 and we felt rushed to leave. However, the office manager Melissa upon telling her of this gave us vouchers for breakfast at the wonderful Ella Mae’s diner to make up for it. That was very kind and considerate.

AMAZING SCENERY NO COMPLAINTS LOVE THE ENERGY AND ATTENTIVENESS

There was no complimentary breakfast and I just got coffee. The baristas did not make my coffee as hot as I asked for. I didn't like the fact that the trash cans in the rooms didn't have bags in them. Even paper bags would be better than nothing.

The hotel is very nice, clean, and well-maintained, with friendly and helpful staff. The only drawback is that if your room faces the nearby bar, you may hear loud music until around 2 a.m.

One thing I seem to see a lot of Marriott properties is not enough towel rack space. This particular room was a corner room so the configuration was very odd and very cramped.

We had a family emergency come up and had to leave the hotel after checking in 4 hours prior. The only things we had done were eat at the restaurant in the hotel and shop downtown. We were actually only in the room for probably 1 hour total. Expedia told us it was up to the discretion of the hotel if they would refund us any of our money and the hotel said under no circumstances do they issue refunds after checking in. I am a longtime Marriott member and have always enjoyed my time. I look for a Marriott in every city I visit. There has never been a time when the Marriott hasn’t exceeded my expectations besides this. Of course, I wasn’t expecting a full refund. They need to pay the cleaners and staff but considering we were only there for 4 hours, I thought they might be flexible. I was very very surprised by their lack of hospitality. $250 lost for a room we couldn’t use is a tough loss for my family right now but I guess it is what it is. Double hit because this was our honeymoon! I will definitely be checking out non-Marriott’s for my next trip.

Cleanliness. Also the city and ocean view was awesome. The sunset and the breeze were amazing. The music noise from the city can be a little bothersome if you want total tranquility, it did not bother me at all. I love the place and I will stay there over and over again.

How is this a Marriott hotel? I've had better experiences at Holiday Inn. We were a part of a large group that easily spent over $100K at the hotel this weekend and we could not have been treated worse. Absolutely terrible experience. Do not trust this place with your events!!

Far from a 4 star hotel, and certainly doesn’t come close to other Autograph Collection hotels. You couldn’t pay me or my 140 guests we hosted this weekend to spend another night at this place.

The hotel is modern, clean and would be comfortable except for the major problem mentioned above. The hotel is located immediately adjacent to an outdoor bar. Live band kept us awake until after midnight with a VERY loud band and customers. DO NOT STAY here if you expect a hotel to provide a reasonable night's sleep. It's a very expensive hotel so you should demand better. The walls and hallway are also a source of frustration as the revelers return late.

The Beacon rooftop bar is a great place to be for sunset. We had a couple drinks and small plates to share. It is not a full restaurant, offering only tasty hors d’oeuvre. Not sure how the rooms are assigned. Maybe it was due to the fact that our stay did not include weekends or the time of year. Could have been that they saw we were of an age that getting in early and getting a good night sleep is a premium. Would like to think they took all those factors in before assigning the room Best hotel experience we have had in a while. Staff was understanding, peasant, and helpful

Pool was closed for a private event and didn't open until 4pm. It was very loud at night due to a club or something nearby. I saw that you supply earplugs however, I was apprehensive to use them in case there was a fire or another emergency.

Super loud. The bar downstairs and the clubs right next to the hotel make it impossible to have a quiet night on the weekend. The elevators are the slowest on the planet and make it painful to get to your room with all the traffic going to the rooftop bar. They never replenished our in-room coffee. I would genuinely never recommend staying here for how much it cost.

Super loud. The bar downstairs and the clubs right next to the hotel make it impossible to have a quiet night on the weekend. It was disappointing that their breakfast diner is outside of the building and it was a chilly day. A birthday gift that reception told us would be up in 20 minutes took over an hour and we were waiting to go out. For the price, very disappointing. Even rude treatment from other staff.

Luminary was a highly positive surprise, rooms were very cosy, the bed extremely comfortable, the location perfect and the view spectacular.

I recently stayed at this hotel over the New Year’s holiday, and while it was a pleasant experience overall, there were a few areas that could use improvement. First, the hotel itself is a beautiful building with inviting design and décor. The location is fantastic—walkable, with plenty of restaurants nearby, and the views from the room were stunning. The staff, for the most part, were welcoming and friendly. I also appreciated the presence of security after hours, especially with the New Year’s celebrations, as they ensured only guests were allowed in by checking room keys. However, there were a few downsides. The main restaurant where we had dinner, despite having a reservation, had a 45-minute wait. While this could be attributed to the busy holiday season, it was still inconvenient. That said, our server handled it graciously and offered us two complimentary cocktails, which was a nice gesture. Additionally, the front desk staff that evening didn’t seem particularly happy to be there. This may have been due to the holiday rush, but it was noticeable. Finally, while the room was beautifully decorated, a recurring sound—possibly from the AC—kept going off every 15 minutes, which disrupted sleep. Despite these issues, I would recommend this hotel. The positives outweigh the negatives, and its location, design, and thoughtful touches make it a worthwhile stay. With some improvements to soundproofing and wait times, it could easily be a five-star

Well our room looked out over some clubs and the music was super loud until about 11:30 then it was quiet. Just ask for a room on the water side instead of the city side . We had a great stay

Really nice place to stay with friends and family

Great location for my visit. Very helpful staff. Didn't explore the area nearby but would have been easy to do so.

Sheets had a color/red stain. Air conditioner was incredibly loud- worked well but the sound was unbearable.

View is great, room is very clean and well equipped. The bed is way too soft though, it almost feels like a deflating air mattress when you first sit down. Definitely needs a new mattress.

Great Staff service, fast elevator access, within walking distance to an array of Dining and shopping options.

Coffee packet pour overs are a GREAT idea. Also, it took over 45 minutes to get in our room due room keys that didn't work and after three tries it was finally determined the lock battery was dead. My wife waited in the hallway the whole time waiting for someone to resolve the problem.

Check in took 30 minutes. Only one employee working. Only one coffee cup in the room. We asked for another they never brought it. No shampoo in shower. Otherwise room was very nice and clean.

The hotel is located in the city downtown, which unfortunately means the noise from nearby bars and clubs can be an issue. Parking is also a bit of a challenge. Although the room key card is supposed to grant access to the parking area, it didn't work for me. On the first day, the staff assisted me with it. However, on the second day, when I was checking out, I had to pay for parking again because I was in a rush and didn’t have time to return to the front desk.

Had a corner room. Absolutely beautiful. Lots of amenities and well cleaned. We had a city view and so heard loud bar music until the wee hours, but earplugs and sound machine made it tolerable. Maybe not the side of hotel for a light sleeper.

Our room was nice. I do wish the bed had a fitted sheet on it. Hotels don’t seem to be using those anymore. But the bed was super comfortable, and we loved the rooftop bar. Drinks and edamame were both excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Affordable luxury

Loved, loved, loved this unique and charming hotel in Fort Meyers. We scheduled a company get together there and the Luminary was not only perfect for our retreat (accommodating, reasonably priced, exceptional care) but was so centrally located that everything was walkable and we had a great time. Highly recommend!
