Sort of the location. I put in for a King room and got a double queen (the front desk worker blamed Booking. I was still charged the king room price. The building was in shambles. Many rooms were being redone, and hallways were a mess.

It is close to Downtown 15 min walk. Was under construction too laud not an modern style hotel.

Disappointing

I've never been to a hotel that didn't have outlets on both sides of the bed, which was a big inconvenience. Thankfully, the guy at the front desk found a power strip and brought it up. I was told there was breakfast for purchase, but I didn't see anything worth buying, so we walked next door to Dunkin Donuts one morning and ventured out on other mornings. Parking was free and plentiful. When they complete the renovations the property will be nice, as it is on US 41, which is the heart of Ft Myers. It's 2 minutes from downtown and the river, and not too from Ft Myers Beach. US 41 also runs all the way to Naples, with plenty of shopping areas and restaurants.

There was no notice of renovations which were being done!

The staff accommodated us with different rooms when some of the amenities didn't work. There was no notice of renovations which were being done!

The staff, the request for our room to be anywhere above the first floor and at the end of it all the first floor was all we were offered even when returning to the front desk multiple times with the promise that the staff would change our room as soon as house keeping was able to vacate a finished room on a higher floor.

I liked the location but the hotel is all under renovations and the staff was so terrible just the thought of them makes me remember the repulsiveness of them all collectively. The staff, the request for our room to be anywhere above the first floor and at the end of it all the first floor was all we were offered even when returning to the front desk multiple times with the promise that the staff would change our room as soon as house keeping was able to vacate a finished room on a higher floor.

Nothing. Since renovations were underway at the hotel, the floors presented an unsightly appearance. I checked in late at night; there was an elderly employee on duty, and it took us 20 minutes to receive our room key. They should hire younger staff.

Hotel is on remodeling, no ice in our floor, location was good. The room and bathrooms are neat and very new

My first visit I was amazed for early stages of remodeling how immediately I considered the best architectural design Modern , clean , as the best H hotel I have been ( around 25) And my last stay comfirmed it , ** inconvenience as assumed is not permanent, includes breakfast as amenities ( and once at property they refer you to the restaurant at property Or Dunkin’ Donuts informing you breakfast is not provided nor included Regardless will continue to stay there every trip near that area

The door was broken completely unsafe to stay like that cuz it wasn't closing properly a total show ! Horrible experience all the info in booking is completely scam be careful

The entire process was seamless, the staff were informative, the room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was delicious, etc. I loved the experience from beginning to end.

I was very surprised when we arrived and the whole hotel is under renovations. While our room was clean the common areas are full of construction dust. I have been to hotels before during a renovation and they have definitely not looked like this one. No where on the listing was it listed that the hotel was undergoing a renovation.

The property is under construction, but dyring my 4 night stay, it did not affect me once and did not disturb my sleep. The staff were thoughtful and helpful. The breakfast was probably better esrlier in the morning as I ate late. The eggs and coffee were still good late. The room itself was newly upgraded and nice. Overall it was a very good value for the money because it is near downtown and there are a lot of downtown events csusing othrr hotels to be expensive and unavailable.

The lady at front desk was awesome and even got us in our room early. Everything was clean and up to date.very close lyft ride to downtown fort Myers.

Great Deal for the cost. The property is being remodeled. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is good.

The location may not be for sights but it’s perfect for distance with restaurants and the popular downtown area full of bars an nightlife! Certain amenities could’ve been better. Bags for laundry when the guests leave, maybe water provided in the room, also outlets on both side of the bed are a must!

Check in system did not have free breakfast on my reservation, despite being included. Hotel was filthy, and smelled of mold. AC unit was running, but room was very hot. Breakfast was truly revolting, food legitimately turned my stomach. There are multiple signs that say that gratuity is not included in breakfast, but it’s a self-serve buffet. Wish I could give 0 stars, will never stay here again.

Staff at front desk was friendly The hotel was in renovations however, the rooms were not appropriate to stay in my door. My door Lock was held together by duct tape the facilities and there were no other rooms available. The closets didn’t even have a pole across to hang anything. It was just in a wretched condition

The room has stains on the floors, walls, lamp shades and anything that is metal was covered in rust. I stayed in room 109, first floor. I immediately smelled smoke and let front desk know the room next to mine had boisterous guests who were smoking so I could smell it. I requested a non smoking room.

The bed was comfortable TV was from the early 2000's it was terrible, The toilet was from the 70's and it didn't work, The Bathroom was the size of a small closet barely 1 person could be in there at a time. The area it is in was not good.

Hotel is in a strange location behind the Dunkin’ Donuts. wouldn’t have been able to find it if it wasn’t for the GPS. Looks like they’re in the process of remodeling. Room was OK nothing special. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.

The carpet outside the front door was flooded. The bottom of the door was delaminating, probably because this is a persistent issue. The bed was noisy and uncomfortable getting into it. The walls were thin and we had very noisy neighbors. It just felt very unkempt for a hotel that cost as much as it did.

Ceiling plaster all over the floor from the floor, not being cleaned, stains on the beds, cardboard pieces under the covers holes in the walls, and they covered the smoke detector with a plastic bag. Hallway smelt so bad you could taste it an hour after leaving the hotel.

I've stayed at this property three times and each stay was pleasant, convenient, and accommodating. Staff is quite friendly and hospitable. This property is now my favorite place whenever I'm in town.

Either food was left over from the morning before or just way overcooked. Room was decently clean upon arrival. Shower was only lukewarm at best. 5am shower shouldn't have an issue with demand at that time of day.

The next day, the shower/tub backed up what appeared to be sewage. A terrible smell came from the bathroom and I nearly vomited. The floor in the entire room was dirty as my feet were black. The next morning, there are people beating on doors at 5:00 AM instead of calling each other on phones. I reported this to the hotel twice - nothing done about it. In addition, one of the lights in the parking lot is burned out and remained burned out even after I told them about it. When I discussed all of this after checkout, they tried to make me the bad guy. I won't recommend this dump. It is not maintained and, in my view, unsafe. I'm reporting the incidents to the Lee County Health Department.

The pool area is great for swimming and sunbathing. The room was quiet and clean. We enjoyed the hot breakfast that was included in the price. Easy to park and close to downtown area.

Breakfast situation was not good. Many areas of hotel needed repair which seemed to be simple and not sure reason for delay.

Disastrous breakfast: dirty tables, nothing to eat, only one waitress for the entire restaurant, and a 45-minute wait for a coffee.

The employees were extremely nice, but no restaurant or bar as advertised.

The staff was incredibly friendly and the property had a very nice pool. I had thought that breakfast was included with my stay, but I had to purchase a separate package for breakfast. This was a little confusing. Instead, we went to the dunkin donuts that is located in the parking lot. It was cheaper than the hotel restaurant. Initial check in was easy and the room was clean. The cleanings following this were not great, however. The floor was never swept or mopped, the sheets never changed for my week stay here. The coffee maker looks like it has never been cleaned, potentially some kind of mold growing in the water chamber. The sink has some grime spots on the drain. The hotel is also under construction. This did not bother me and my husband, but it may both other guests. The location is about a 5 minute drive to downtown. It is not close enough to walk. The sidewalk to downtown area is located on a very busy road, which makes it too dangerous to walk. Overall, the stay was average. It was made much better by the friendly staff.

The place is run down. It’s time to upgrade it. Walls and doors are dirty and stained. AC wasn’t working properly. TV remote is impossible to use. Plumbing is not great either, sink kept getting clogged. Place need a complete make over. Staff was nice. But I will definitely not be staying there again.

The buffet was full of cold eggs, undercooked bacon and pancakes.

I was supposed to stay at a different hotel through Friday but something was biting me in their bed. I called Holiday Inn and got checked in Tuesday morning. Yadi was very helpful and pleasant I will stay at this Holiday Inn whenever I have to travel to Fort Myers!

Free hot breakfast could use more options but the scrambled eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes tasted home-made. The TV was on the small size and the shower head needed to be replaced but would definitely come back.

But what was even more frustrating was the subpar service. Despite requesting room cleaning twice, the staff failed to attend to our room. This lack of attention to detail and disregard for guest requests is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the hotel's walls are paper-thin, allowing for uninterrupted noise pollution from adjacent rooms. This made it challenging to get a good night's sleep. Overall, I would not recommend the Holiday Inn Downtown Fort Myers to anyone. With its rundown condition, poor service, and lack of soundproofing, it falls short of expectations.

The room needed a lot of updates. Needs usb plug ins, a better TV, a trash can! There was only one that was in the bathroom that was too small to hold more than a couple items. You’d think in a room with two queen beds there may be a family of four using it, therefore, you’d put more than two towels and two wash clothes in the bathroom. It looked like they were doing some renovations in the lobby, but the actual rooms need a lot of updates and better amenities. The pictures online made it all seem a lot nicer than it was. Not likely to book here again.

Property all around had difficult parking, with Dunkin Donut next door creating an issue to even get out of the parking lot. Honestly, I believe that the room was way overpriced for what it was. was exited to have found a gem to stay when I visit Ft.Myers, but I dont think so. Overall, I wouldn't stay there again, sorry, do better for your guests Holiday inn.

Hotel staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful. The adjoining restaurant staff not so much. Understaffed and grumpy is how best to describe them. The room was ok but the bathroom was covered in rust. Definitely needs an upgrade.

Pictures are very deceiving, old hotel no dining or bar. Pool was just ok. Booked a king size bed but was told only 2 queens available. If you book through Expedia you are treated like you are at the bottom of the totem pole. At least the staff was friendly and helpful.

Didn't know there was no restaurant and bar

It was a positive experience staying at Holiday Inn Fort Myers. I liked the area.

We were able to walk downtown in a few minutes but there is a lot of traffic near the sidewalk. Stay alert or go through the area parking lots!

That bed sheets are moist and I found hair in both beds. The bathroom smells and the tub is rusted. This is unacceptable after driving 150 miles.

Staff was great and helpful. Free breakfast was served by a nice and busy waitress, but she had time for customer service. Location was surprising when the name of the hotel is downtown. 1 mile walking distance to food.

Room was clean and quiet, hotel is old and needs updating, very strange area surrounding hotel. Staff was pleasant and efficient.

People at the front desk were super nice and helpful. The room was pretty clean and comfortable.

Gym has poor equipments and treadmill is a hazard

Got there and it was late. The parking lot was not well lit. As a mom with her two girls this was a little unsafe for me. The girl at the check in counter was extremely friendly. She made check in and check out easy. However, got to the room and the curtains did not close all the way. Had to find something to sit in the window to keep it closed. The shower had rust and strains of hair in it. The towels also had hairs in them. The rooms need an update. It was decent for the price I paid however.

Check in was easy and staff at check in were nice but once we stepped out of the elevator the rugs were full of trash and scattered plastic silver where. The halls need vacuuming badly. Dirty laundry lay in front of doorways even after 5pm. Clean it up and it would be a nice place

2. The room is extremely outdated, dresser/tv stand is all chipped up and the partical board all warped, lamps weren’t secure, felt like when I turned them on they were going to fall over, bathroom layout was horrible and the door was in the way. 3. The grossed part was the hallway smelled like old pet odors and cigarette smoke 4. The whole place was dirty and run down 5. And to advertise downtown - it’s not walkable 1.4 miles Spent $150 a night for a while in the wall - I’ve spent less and had a better room!

Hotel is going through some renovations which I understand the property is in need of complete overall . Breakfast is provided by third party at only $10 per person which does not cover the cost the lady serving breakfast does not understand any concept on customer service whatsoever rude forgetful and not very pleasant
