Very clean and helpful staff. Perfect for our one night to spend some time at Carowinds. Would stay again, very convenient for the waterpark too.

Pool under repair. Inthink hotels should have to post when things are not working or give a discount.

Everything was great except the bed. After sleeping a few hours, it felt like there was a steel bar across my back. Those beds aren't comfortable.

Conditions of the properties were good and clean . Staff were very nice and helpful. Parking were always full late at night, but still there was always availability. On the downsize , Breakfast menu was below average with no proteins and sometimes there was no bread and bagels we an hour of breakfast left. Also personnel started cleaning the breakfast area like 10 min before finishing the breakfast hour, as if hurrying off the visitors. In addition , the day of the checkout it was raining and it seems one of the front desk employees had her car on the car entrance and we have to run to our car and got wet , because we grew tired of waiting.

Stayed here 2 nights, since it was close to Carowinds. Front desk staff was super nice and friendly. Sleeping on the ground would have been more comfortable than the beds. Walls are paper thin. Kids were running and playing up and down the halls until almost 1 in the morning and we heard every bit of it. It kept my wife up both nights. Continental breakfast is what you expect from a cheap hotel, so that wasn't bad. You can hear traffic from outside. Pool had been closed since Covid, so that is a little misleading. They do have one, but it's broken, so don't expect it. Barn style bathroom door wouldn't close all the way. Water pressure was good, and water was super hot after about 2 minutes. Microwave in room didn't work. Room was mostly clean, though we found paint on one of the sheets and it almost looked like it was still new, making me wonder if the sheets even get washed. Parking lot was tiny. If you just need a place to lay your head for the night and take a shower, it's OK. If you actually want to get some sleep, I'd suggest going somewhere else.

The property was at a very convenient location! They have a nice little breakfast. The hotel was clean. The elevators are VERY slow and the staff isn’t very friendly. The people in the hotel are not very courteous to others sleeping. There was banging and door slamming all hours of the night. The hotel does require a deposit even though it’s not a very nice hotel. It was clean but not luxury.

Right across the street from Carowinds park, easy access to I-77, was a quiet nice overnight stay.

Only good thing was it was near Carowinds. The room was atrocious. The bathroom aswell as the cabinet doors were cut at an angle and didnt fully close. The bed frame was smaller than the bed itself. The breakfast options were not what they said on the booking.com app and website. Multiple other guests had problems with their showers not working. The pool was closed. The plaster on the ceiling was stabbed on there

Let’s just say if you don’t want to be totally grossed out, don’t shine a black light in the bathroom. And don’t expect breakfast there was 1 Apple, 2 rotten bananas, and the option to make a waffle. It was horrible and no protein or anything. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone. We’re not very picky but even my two kids said this place was bad.

OK. Older hotel but walkable to dining and snacks. Just like most hotels at this price point, everything smells like weed. Beds were ok and breakfast was good.

The hotel itself was nice but the tv was very old and only had about ten channels. Breakfast was just waffles and bread. Would be nice to have meat or eggs. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating when we wanted to book an extra night. I would stay again.

Nothing The power breaker tripped several times and I had no access to reset it. The bathroom flooded due to improper septic maintenance. The air mattress leaked. No microwave. Grass was 4ft high.

We found a nasty cup next to the bed, a roach the second we walked in, and the breakfast was very mediocre. Pool was closed, sheets were dirty and looked like someone had urinated on it, gross bathroom and overall the room wasn’t clean and we felt so gross. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, but trust me, never ever ever ever again. Listen to the reviews and don’t waste your money!

The worker the night I checked in was not really friendly. The advertised pictures on Expedia showed rooms with plank flooring however there was carpet in the room. The Expedia advertisement showed shower/bathtub combo however it was shower only (my little one doesn’t yet take showers). The breakfast was minimal and the entire juice machine and water machine was down. They had a couple of juice bottles on the counter but no water. Overall the entire place looked and smelled clean and the morning worker was very friendly. Only wish it would have been more as advertised

Communication with housekeeping staff was extremely difficult, no extra trash receptacles on my floor, pool was not available

I like that it was close to the amusement park I didn’t like the breakfast, and the front staff wasn’t the friendliest. My sink was clogged in the bathroom, and they used a plunger to unclog it. That didn’t sit right with me.

Very convenient to Carowinds and kid friendly. Rooms are clean and in good repair. They will not wow you or let you down. They have waffles. If you don't like waffles you might not be impressed. Waffles are kid and this dad friendly though. Will stay here every time we are down for overnight Carowinds trip.

This is the only place I stay at during my frequent visits to charlotte. The property is clean - plenty of parking and walking distance to Cracker Barrel, Culver’s and QT. Very close to Carowinds. I LOVE the staff - especially Ms Rhonda she is fantastic!

Easy check in, cleaner than most we've stayed at near Carowinds. I bought the insurance, and needed to cancel the last night I booked, and didn't get to, so the insurance wasn't worth paying for.

Overall good experience, but they should work on breakfast menu.

The room smelled horrible. The fridge wasn’t cleaned out from the previous guests, so who knows what else wasn’t cleaned. Especially considering there was some kind of wet substance on the bed. The toilet wouldn’t flush. They agreed to switch our room but I paid for a king and they switched us to a queen with no reimbursement. There was a huge gap in the door to the hallway outside of our room, literally huge. Someone could stuck a wire into it and easily unlock the door from the outside if they wanted. The door not being sealed also made every noise from outside the room sound like it was coming from inside the room. I travel a lot for sports and this was absolutely one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at.

We had the loudest family across the hallway from us. They would let their kids run the hallway at 1 AM screaming knocking on peoples doors and we complained and the staff did nothing about it the second night the same thing happened. They would stand outside our bedroom door having loud conversations, the kids screaming I will not be staying here again

We arrived incredibly late/early. Knowing we’d be late, we called to ensure someone would be there. They assured us there would be no issue. We arrived to find our reserved room, with a king sized bed, had been given away to a walk-in with no reservation. They offered a room with a smaller bed (difficult for my 6’3” husband). The mattress was horrible and the sink would not drain. The manager provided us a new room for our 2nd night, with the correct bed. If we’d received this room the first night, we may have considered this stay a success. However, with the first night’s fiasco, along with the lack-luster breakfast options (no eggs or meats of any kind), it was just an ok stay at best. While it did not ruin our trip, we would not likely stay again.

This was located across the street from carowinds which was nice . We booked this because it had great stars and reviews . The front door didn’t open well at all I had to pry it open . The lobby was nice and so was the breakfast area. There was a sign saying they have had a lot of people breaking things in rooms and they take a mandatory $100 deposit, that I wouldn’t get back til Tuesday. Room was like pictures however bathroom was smaller than pictures , toilet was really wobbly and handle on door were broken. If you want a budget stay it’s a decent stay room was clean .

Check in quick & friendly. In & out was easy. Breakfast was limited continental but that's all I needed. The only "weird" thing was the sliding door to the bathroom. Thin wood door felt less private. Shower was clean though. Beds were comfy. TV & remote were dated in their ease of usage. Hard to find your channels with dated system & no channel listing available.

This was our first stay at Sleep Inn. It had a clean, youthful vibe. Check in staff was friendly, and helpful. The room was well/designed, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good but could use a little protein( peanut butter, hard boiled eggs). Still, we got a great price and had a great stay.

We needed a room last minute when our plans changed. The other 10/10 reviews gave us confidence & we were not disappointed. The staff were lovely. The room was very clean & comfortable with soft pillows, bedding and extra washcloths & towels. It could use a few repairs but for the price & close proximity to Carowinds, dining, & the expressway….we highly recommend.

The hotel is very outdated, but my room was clean. I was disappointed that they advertised breakfast as included with the stay; however, when I went down that morning, they only had yogurt and bread that looked past its expiration date. The least they could have offered was coffee, but they didn’t even have that.

I wish I would of known about the mandatory 100 deposit that's now required it needs to be stated on website not on a piece of paper in the lobby I was told it's a new requirement I would of stayed elsewhere I drove 4 hrs wasn't in my spending budget to dish out a extra 100 dollars it should be included in the Expedia price if a hotel requires a deposit

When we walked into the room, it looked really nice. But when we walked around, there was food all over the floor. The remote to the tv didn’t work which was fine because we were there just to sleep and leave. We will not stay at this one again

Decent place but I think they definitely should disclose that they have not had a working pool for over a year and their breakfast consists of waffles bagels yogurt and cereal. Overall the place stayed quiet and staff was nice. Again, just should disclose certain info online when searching for hotels with pools or a full breakfast that this place isn’t in that listings.

Sheets need to be more cleaner. Still saw light brown stains on the sheets. Set up pest control as well

Pillows were horrible, no iron, only 4 electrical outlets worked, qalls are paper thin. Staff was helpful, professional, and friendly.

When I booked this hotel they advertised a pool. They don’t have an operating pool. The room keys barely work. Or I have to keep getting them fixed. The air conditioner is extremely loud. The light keep flickering. The staff is very friendly by thr property is ran down and nothing seems to work quite right. The only ice machine is in the 3rd floor. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Great value - spacious rooms. Safe and quiet environment

At time of arrival, walked into room, found it to be dirty. A bug on the bed, bathroom was not cleaned properly and the pool was closed. Looked as if it had not been open for the season. Highly disappointing. The staff at the desk did not seem to care.

The hotel is conveniently located across from the Carowinds amusement park. Cracker Barrel and Quick Trip (a gas station) are within walking distance of the hotel—plenty of other restaurants are located nearby. We would stay again!

Worst hotel i ever stayed at. The room smelled like mildew. The bath area was tiny. Blankets on beds felt moist even after we left for hours and came back. Not sure what they had for breakfast as we didn’t waste our time going. We only came for the weekend to go to Carowinds. Next time we will stay somewhere else.

Just a great experience overall

Mattress was nasty. There was food left over in the refrigerator from last guest. The pool was not operational. The floor was wet from the air conditioner.

“Breakfast” was belgian waffle mix, and your choice of bagel, hostess pre-packaged coffee cakes, or cereal. Not good choices.

Did not like that pool was out of order. Room also had a must order. However, bed was comfortable, price was reasonable and staaf was very friendly.

The smell of the hotel is smoke.like weeds and I don’t think is good for kids. I’m so disappointed they have this smoke free room but smells bad. Plus the room is dirty.

Very nice staff, rooms were very clean and comfortable. Cleaning staff was also very nice and friendly and helpful

The room was stuffy and stinky. There was very little air circulation. There was what appeared to be black mold on the air conditioner. The price was good and the room served its purpose, being a place to sleep while on our roadtrip, but it was my least favorite of the places we have stayed along the way. If you need an affordable place to stay, it will do the job.

Staff and hotel was beautiful and helpful. Transport to Carowinds

The room was decent. It had a mildewy smell to it. The beds were clean and comfortable, but we did see a clean pamper behind the desk which shows it (the room) wasn't deep cleaned. The AC unit got the room barely cool. Customer service was great, gave us extra pillows and a comforter when asked.

Its was nice and affordable

2nd floor was very loud from above floor. Kids running back and forth. Hallway noise, able to hear doors close day and night. The beds were very uncomfortable. Bathroom was way too small. Not able to access the side entrance. But the Location was great.

Hotel was clean. Breakfast was ok, but I am diabetic so I ate an activia yogurt but it’s only 4 grams of protein. They had no other protein. The pool has not even opened. Disappointed with that. It is very close to Carowinds

Good service, older hotel

The pool was not open looks like it has not been open in YEARS! Breakfast was ok but it end it at 9am just know that! Only half our kids got breakfast. Our family will not be staying at this hotel again.

I like that the room was clean, and the staff was friendly. The walls are super thin. The bed is hard as bricks. Certain guests lack self discipline nor do they discipline their children I know it's probably not a nightly thing but it is super loud through the thin walls. And I'm thinking the city of Fort Mill's official smell is weed. You get quality if you paid for it. The noise and hard beds, this motel could invest and fix. But you can't fix certain elements in society.

the trip was fine. The hotel at first glance is decent but when you get into the elevator I was afraid so I took the stairs due to the noise and motion it was making. Getting to the room, the beds were nice and made and the room itself was clean and spacious. The bathroom was decent until I tried to close the door but it wouldn’t fully close as it was mounted incorrectly. The shower head had gunk I had to clean off( hoping it was mold).

We paged advertisies adjoining rooms, which they do not have. The front desk staff were amazing with trying to help us locate an adjoining room but came up empty handed. Toilets don't flush very well and I was woken up to the smell of pot entering out room in the middle of the night from neighboring rooms.

Beds were very comfortable! You could tell it had been newly renovated. Close to everything.

There were lots of things I didn’t like about this hotel and I’m usually the one who laughs at ridiculous reviews but here goes. The lobby smelled like weed for starters. I got to the hotel after a full day of driving and I was hoping to use the gym to walk and stretch. No luck. Gym was closed. No warning given by staff. I get settled in the room and notice the bed has 5 pillows on it, but they’re all pillows that seem to have been cut in half. Very strange and uncomfortable. I didn’t anticipate having to bring my own. The rest of my dislikes are just some heads up to other bookers. The TV didn’t have streaming options and I haven’t watched cable in probably 5 years. So don’t expect to stream. The bed was EXTREMELY firm, and some people do like that, I admit. It’s just not for me. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t great, and they don’t provide body wash so you would need to bring your own. Lastly there were kids playing ding dong ditch at 10:30 pm. Don’t expect to get great sleep at this place unless you bring earplugs. The best part of the stay was the gentleman who checked me out. Older man, very southern, sweet as could be.

Affordable and in a great location.

There was sighting of multiple bugs(cockroaches) in my room. Had to keep my luggage on the table and closed. Saw a bug trying to crawl on a blanket that was touching the floor was anle to catch and present to front desk. I could not sleep very well after seeing not 1 but 3 bugs

I was traveling with my 7 year old son and my mother in law. We enjoyed 2 long days at Carowinds and Sleep Inn provided us with a clean, comfortable room and tasty wafffles for breakfast, which are my son's favorite! I've stayed at this property before and chose to revisit. The staff were kind and personable. I'll probably stay at this property in the future and would recommend it to anyone else. It isn't posh or fancy but it is clean, comfortable, and affordable.

The bathroom door has problems and couldn’t be opened easily and we had troubles trying to close it too

The location was a great location for my family since we were extremely close to Carowinds. The room was clean and cozy. The only issue was the only ice machine was on the 3rd floor. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was super quiet and convenient. Rhonda, the front desk clerk couldn't have been nicer. She was so helpful with her recommendations. The next morning she knew me by first name. I was so impressed with her.

I visit this property once or twice a year and always have a consistently pleasant experience. The lady behind the front desk, who has been there for several years, "R" has always been friendly and hospitable.

Was decent for one night traveling....clean enough. Did not look like the pics but was pretty good.

Picked this location because it was 4 minutes away from Carowinds. I typically stay at Sleep Inns when I travel. This one was no different, clean, polite staff, comfortable beds, and nice continental breakfast options. Close to where I need to go. Would definitely stay here again.

A bit disappointed in the breakfast offered as there was basically only cold options unless I wanted to cook myself a waffle.

The property needs a complete makeover. My room was not clean at all and there were yellow stains all over my mattress. The mattress was terrible and there felt like the was a pole sticking me in the back all night. The door knobs wee particularly dirty and very sticky. The “breakfast “ was two kinds of cereal, waffles and muffins. I would not stay here again.

Close to Carowings park

Everything was OK except for the breakfast. There was very little to eat & no napkins & nobody there to ask for help. In short, do not stay there for the breakfast. It was very bad. The price was not the greatest value.

Property Was Great Room Was clean

The carpet looked dirty, as if it hadn't been vacuumed. The door was broken, and I had to go to the front desk four times to update my card. It still would take multiple swipes for it to open. There was also a slice of pizza in the microwave, and it stunk. There was no telling how long it had been sitting in there.
