Booked the room on Expedia under acknowledgement we could cancel 24 hours before check in with 100% refund. We booked the room for after returning from a cruise to the port of Miami. Our daughter got sick in the ship so we needed to get her home to see her doctor. Reached out to cancel 36 hours before check in. Hotel refused to refund our money! TERRIBLE customer service! WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

It’s on the beach. It’s very old and not well kept. The paint is peeling in the bathroom walls and bathtub. The refrigerator was not cold enough then too cold. The table was dirty. My door got stuck and would not open once. The first night was very noisy.

The value for the price is exceptional! Location location location. The pool, ocean access and towels/ chairs are great. Staff is friendly some go above and beyond. Some rooms are in better condition than others. Don’t have any expectations for extras or frills.

Unbeatable location directly on central Fort Lauderdale Beach Age, maintenance

Place is a complete old dump!! Filthy rooms, filthy grounds, filthy everything!! Its cheaper than the rest and this is why!! Just old and run down!! In 1965 it was probably nice. Website pics are very old or staged. DO NOT stay here!!!!!

Definitely outdated and the staff not keeping up with the property, really doesn’t hide the age of the building. The door paint was coming up and the bathroom looked like a dungeon. Weird security guard got upset about us trying to park without his help.. because we know how to park a car and do not need help. I waited around to turn in the room key and no one showed up.. it was 10am, people should be at the counter at that time. Not a very good hotel but the beach view is unbeatable.

It was okay. Carpets have a smell to them, and there was a roach on the first floor in the halls near the side entrance. No bugs found in the room. But this place definitely has a great location being across from the beach. It was okay for the 3 days, but will we stay here again? Absolutely not. First and last time. Hope it gets a remodel soon, there’s so much potential!!

The bar and restaurant were not open for business. The room was disgusting and not cleaned very well. The mattress was lumpy and the room smelled. We had to repeatedly ask for clean towels and it took two days to get them. The key cards kept being faulty and we had to replace them multiple times. We stayed on the fourth floor where we had to travel up to the second floor and walk back all the way through the hotel to a different elevator to then get to the fourth floor. There was also no microwave in the room and the fridge was not working very well! We booked here because it was saving some money- but I would rather have spent a little more for a better experience if I had known what state the hotel was in. The only benefits to booking a room at this hotel: the AC was good and the front desk staff were pleasant to talk to, but were not able to make our room and stay more pleasant. The beach is right across from the hotel; they provided chairs and towels most days!

Property is older and can use a facelift. . We had no issues with our room. Staff was nice and friendly. Price was very reasonable for a holiday weekend.

Recommendations : they should paint the bathtubs in the bathroom, even they are in good working conditions ; still a proper ventilation in the bathroom is needed.

This was a true bait-and-switch. None, absolutely NONE, of the pictures of this "resort" look like the online pictures - unless it's from 15 years ago. It's filthy, run down, has roaches, and too much to write about. I will post pictures soon to compare the online with the actual. I am going to demand that Expedia refund my money for this trash-heap.

If I could give zero stars I would, the website reviews were completely bogus. there was no wifi, I had to connect to the hotspot on my phone just to watch tv. They lied and had no shuttle to the airport. And the room was dirty and infested with roaches and when I let them know the front desk got mad I mentioned it in front of another guest and tried to rush us out.

We liked this place. It was a bit faded, and the restaurant/bar was closed; however the location was fantastic. Right on the beach, walkable to the state park, around the corner from cute cafes and boutiques. Air conditioner worked great. Shower pressure great. The man at shop counter makes a good piña colada. We were on a budget, and this worked well. Staff were smiling and helpful.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the pool area was nice and relaxing and welcoming, and of course the location is unmatched. We were in town for the air show, and this hotel is a hidden gem for anyone wanting to be in the heat of the action at a reasonable price point. While the building itself is a little run down, overall it fit the bill for our trip! Was also very nice that they had beach chairs available for use, and free parking to boot!

Well, where do we begin, first, the lobby was dark and very moldy. The check in staff was very helpful. Once in our room, the light in the bedroom did not work. The bath tub was very fitly. Trying to use the outlet in the washroom did not work, so we had to unplug the fridge to use the outlet to style my hair. The sheets had stain on them, looks like they were not washed in weeks. So we removed them spread a towels on sleep on it. It was two in the morning so we had to choice. I truly believe Expedia should take a look at that this place before they decided to offer it on there platform. If this place was clean I could have over look all the other stuff it was missing like, no place to put your suitcase, no table or chair to sit, not even a sofa, no working light or outlet. Like I said it was two in the morning, so we had no choice. Please do not book this place, until it completes the repairs.

Amazing location, right by the water, very close to FLL airport Complementary towels came in clutch since we’re light packers. Friendly front desk ladies that were very responsive to our requests. Rooms are outdated and although it looks like they put effort into cleaning them, you can smell age and humidity on the room furniture; otherwise it’s beautiful.

Everything was horrible! The staff looked intoxicated on something! I was switched to 3 different rooms all at around 1 am! 1st the door wouldn’t lock! The 2nd room was so smelly & the plugs wouldn’t stay in the wall! The 3rd one had bed bugs! The staff was rude an obnoxious! The entire hotel was smelly antique & poorly kept! Everyone there including the guest looked high on something!

Front desk staff was nice. We picked this cause it said breakfast (we can’t afford much but had to be in Miami for school labs). They in fact do NOT have breakfast. The parking when you first get there is confusing. The parking in the back was nice. The hallways were small and finding the room was an interesting experience. The room was okay, keep in mind I’m a really clean person and hate germs. No kitchen plateware. I just needed a spoon and didn’t want to go to front desk for that. Kind of beach view. Bathroom was painted like the landlord special. The front area was pretty. Walking to the pool you see offices by the pool and it was weird, they should have blinds up.. And the offices were so messy. No attractive. I wish I can say I got what I paid for but it was almost $200 for one night… and that was on the cheaper end. Check out was easy. Easy walk to the beach. Didn’t have an ice bucket and didn’t want to go to the front for that as well. Overall it was an ok hotel to stay in. Did the job. Not worth the money but better than feeling unsafe in a different neighborhood or like the hotel/airbnb was going to fall apart.

Traveled with group. Found bed bugs, floor was sticky, hair on the bathroom floor, tub was filthy, bed linen stained, rust on the small fridge, urine on the bathroom floor and toilet seat, mildew smell, carpet not vacuumed, etc. Cleaning staff walked into our room after one knock. We moved rooms a total of three times, we found each room disgusting and inhabitable.

Pictures looked great and it was right across the street from the beach. there was caution tape over everything! No functioning ice machine. Very poor maintenance! Bathrooms were disturbing not a place to shower! And didn’t take off any shoes on the wet carpets! Had booked 4 day’s cancelled the other 3 days to stay in a much nicer hotel!

Great place to stay on the beach and affordable! Super convenient location and walkable to restaurants and bars. I was disappointed that the restaurant and bar was not open when we stayed, however, the small convenience store was great to purchase affordable drinks and snacks. While the place is very dated & could use remodeling, for the price, you can't beat it and we would definitely stay here again!

The outside bar that is advertised is "Under Maintenance" and looks like its been that way for years. The ONE ice machine on property, gave out about 10 ice cubes an hour. The room had no deadbolt. Cracked toilet seat cover. The rooms are due for major renovation. Front desk staff was great. During 3 night stay, the only housekeeping done was emptying the waste bin.

You have to pay for room service and rooms are a bit old, couple of little issues with faucet, drawers no handles, phone not working but who cares when we te on vacation. Quality vs price is ok

The price had increased since 2024, but never any upgrades. Sadly you have to go to the desk and ask for any extras, and the room truly lacks functional plug ins for your electronics. Otherwise its an old property in a beautiful location.

In my opinion, this hotel stands out because it is right on the beach, surrounded by many luxury resorts, making it extremely convenient—especially for those who enjoy swimming every day. It’s also in a perfect location to watch both the sunrise and sunset, which is truly a highlight. I would still recommend it to others. Although the facilities are somewhat outdated and not very clean, you can easily make your stay more comfortable by bringing your own bedsheets, duvet cover, and towels. tried to contact the hotel through Hotels.com that we wouldn't be arriving until the next morning from a cruise. Never received a response, finally got through on the phone. He said no problem so the morning we arrived had to wait 3/4 hr I suspect for them to clean the room and when finally checking in my reservation sheet had in big black felt pen letters "No Show" so they made no note of it, plus the room safe did not work and advised staff and it was never looked into, it was only $3/day but it was the principal and when asked them they said there would be no credit for that, to treat it like a resort fee. And the patio restaurant is no more which was one of the reasons we booked here.

Room was in a huge need of a refresh. Dirty, grime everywhere. The restaurant and bar was shut down while there(wierd since it was spring break). The only thing this place has going for it is across the street from the beach. I would not advise to stay

Crackhead “resort”, everything was filthy, chemical smells, used condom in hallway and used syringe floating in the pool. Left immediately!

I was in a king suite. This has the "kitchenette". While this "kitchen" had a full wall of cabinets, there was nothing in them. Asked the front desk for any sort of cutlery, could've been plastic sporks for all I cared, and was just told "no". The bathroom sink stopper was stuck down, so after my wife used the sink to wash up, it was full of water. We got in to the room pretty late, so I had to fix that myself. Beach towels have to be signed out at the front desk, IF THEY'RE AVAILBLE. Which the first time we checked, they weren't. Second time we got lucky. I assure you that the unpleasant lady at the desk will be annoyed by your request either way. The restaurant is apparently still "under renovation" so don't count on that as an option. I can say that 8 years ago I did get to eat and drink there and it was pretty great lol. All in all, I will continue to use this place as my go to cheapest place to stay on Ft Lauderdale Beach when that is what I am looking for. However, you get what you pay for.

The location for this hotel is incredible. The free parking amazing, but most importantly, the staff was 5-star! The staff was better than any 5-star hotel I’ve stayed at. The hotel is definitely a diamond in the rough.

This hotel is completely not what was described on the site. Very dirty and outdated. The site said free shuttle. There was no free shuttle. The site said restaurant and lounge. There was neither. There wasn’t even a vending machine. The bathroom was very dirty with hair on the floor and chipped dirty paint. Our TV not WiFi worked.

I stayed here for spring break this past year, and it was perfect. Cheap, on the beach, and very social. It was pretty clean, but the rooms were kinda humid at times. The staff was nice enough, but we were also being super loud and annoying, so I wouldn't have liked us either. The location is great. It's a 20-minute walk from the main beach strip, like Rock Bar, Senior Frogs, and Ibiza. A 15-minute Uber ride from the main bars like Sway, Kemistry, Backyard, Capones, the Wharf, etc. Just make sure you always have a key card, if not, you gotta og tihs crazy way to get into the hotel. Overall, though, it was awesome. Everyone on my floor was super social, and it was a lot of spring breakers. Would highly recommend for a spring break on a budget. Great, "we're only gonna be sleeping there" kinda hotel. I also didn't see any bugs or anything; it was pretty clean. I LOVE THE SEA CLUB RESORT!!!

Cannot beat the cost. It's largely outdated but the bed seemed clean and comfortable. Electrical outlets are limited. The major issue is cleanliness. You cannot walk on the carpet barefoot or without turning socks brown.

Carpets are filthy. Shower head leaks. Toilet continues to run. Girl at the front desk was bothered by interrupting her time on her personal phone call. Would not stay here again. Spend a little more money and get something much better.

Resort needs a massive upgrade! Paint flaking off, Only 2 lamps (at end tables) and they had holes in them. Room stunk. Restaurant permanently closed, had no amenities. Couldn't take a bath due to no drain. Had to take and walk 2 elevators to get to our room which was around the building. Actual resort was nothing like the pictures except view of ocean acres the street. I usually don't leave negative reviews but this place was horrible except for the staff! Was told lastbnightbthere was a complimentary breakfast today,,,, but no nothing here, staff didn’t know what I was talking about.

Review: The room was not very clean, the carpet had patches missing, and the shower/tub was falling apart. It was my mistake for not paying closer attention to the review score before booking. The only positive was that the front desk staff was friendly.

If you want to stay on the beach and are broke, this is the spot for you. The rooms are what you pay for. There are stains everywhere on the carpet and bathroom mildew. But no bugs or smells. The internet does not work!! Our tv was broken but they replaced it. Staff is fine. We stayed for 4 nights and our room was never cleaned. We didn't even have a DND sign if we didn't want it. You get what you pay for. Great location though

This is the dirtiest, nastiest place I've ever stayed and I've styed in some pretty bad places. The pictures are from 50+ years ago. The "bar overlooking the ocean" was in dilapidated condition. The rooms and hallways were so gross, you didn't want yourself or your belongings touching anything in the room. Everything smells like mold once you're inside the hallways to the rooms. They also charge you an extra fee if you actually want your room "cleaned" which is just ironic. The first key they gave me when I checked in opened the door to a room with guests and their bags still in it. We were all quite shocked. They gave me a new room, but it's concerning that a mistake of this magnitude could be made considering you'd likely want your room to be secure / no other guests having access. The only good thing is the beach access is great, but the level of neglect at this property makes it not worth it.

This is an old hotel, the restaurant was wiped out by a hurricane two years ago and still has not been rebuilt. We did come across a roach or two in the room however it is Florida.

Do NOT believe any of the pictures! They appear to be from a long time ago. The restaurant is not running and it all looks run down. The hallways smell nasty and when we entered our room after they gave us the key IT WAS OCCUPIED! There was luggage all over the floor and beds. Unacceptable and the staff did not even apologize.

This hotel is a very old place. No bar, no restaurant. We stayed for 5 nights. The bed was ok and everything was clean. If you are used to the Bahia Mar (our usually stay), you will not be happy at this hotel. But it’s PERFECT for an overnight stay as you wait to get on a cruise!

The biggest issue was the bedding. The sheets were old, worn out, and felt very dingy, which made the bed uncomfortable and gave the room an unclean feeling. It’s disappointing when something as basic as the bedding isn’t maintained properly. We also asked for housekeeping service every day, but our room was never cleaned during our stay. The bedding was never replaced and the room was never refreshed, which only added to the frustration. While the location was great, the condition of the room and lack of housekeeping service made this a disappointing stay overall.

the listing on Hotels.com is deceitful. Their webpage needs to be updated. The picture showing the bar/restaurant looks wonderful but it is closed and has been for months. The bar on the lower floor is also closed. So they have no restaurant at all and they only sell beverages from a makeshift store from 10am to 8pm. The hotel itself is very dated and needs a lot of work. The bathrooms are clean but the sink looked like it would fall off the wall. The carpets in the room were nasty. The staff were very helpful and polite. the location is pretty good. Unless they do some serious upgrading and maintainance to this property they will only get one time users. If I had more than one night booked I would have changed hotels.

I cannot stress enough to not stay at this particular property. There’s an absolutely lovely hotel directly behind this property called the beach hotel. Adorable little villa style properties with four private pools on site. Each villa gets its own pool.

The location of the property is perfect, If you want to be on the beach, they were pool was still in the shade at noon when we left and did not have an inviting appeal. The data is incorrect. They do not have a Restaurant on site although pictures showed it and the description said there was a free breakfast.

There was one person checking in a dozen people. Checkout is fine, but check-in needs some work. The property is very old and needs a facelift. Great location and it did service its purpose. We were just staying a night prior to taking a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. I doubt I would ever book there again

Very dirty hotel. Booked king, but when arrived no kings were available.Would strongly suggest going elsewhere. Had 4 nights booked, and left after 1. No refund given for unused nights. Apparently there is a lot of fine print that allows the hotel to do whatever they want with refunds.

My check in agent was great! The room was clean and full of ammenities. This seems to be an old hotel. However, is well located right in front of the beach, hotel sorroundings show age, however, my room was better than a newer hotel. Parking was free and very convenient right at the back of the hotel. I would stay at this hotel again.

Terrible. Not clean with crumbling infrastructure all around. Curtains held up with push pins, bathrooms painted ver with random toiletries from other hotels, tissue and spare plugging the peephole, smelled damp with windows facing side street where garbage collection occurs. The room was very dingy. Felt dirty the moment you walked in. Felt very run down motel like. Stained and ripped curtains, windows very dirty, holes in walls, everything was painted over in the bathroom, TV only had 6 different channels, there was only 1 outlet in the whole room for a family staying in it.

The hotel smelled awful and aside from lobby and outside area, was rundown. Carpet should just be removed as it was stained, dirty and past old. Shockingly neglected. Great location and perfect for beach lovers. Staff were super friendly and helpful. But, the halls, areas to room, inside the room and bathroom were very run down. Toilets and tubs are still era of when yellow ones were sold. Lots of hairs, clogged shower drain, vintage taps all displaying how run down. If you want a mid hotel/ motel I would say pass. If you don’t care and want to be in a great spot and a place to lay head go for it. I’m just shocked how old and neglected and what you pay you pay for that !

The room did not feel clean. Carpet was gross and the bathroom was disgusting. The tub had so much discoloration of brown and black, probably mold, around it and in the tub. The back of the door had the hook falling off, and the bottom seemed like half of the wood was peeling and ripped off. At least the beds were the most clean part about the room. Staff was very nice and welcoming.

Our flight arrived at 10:30 am. Check in is at 3. We were unable to check in until 4:30pm. The room was clean except for the bathroom. Found pubic hair on the toilet, the shower curtain had mold and the bathtub took over an hour to drain after showering. The TV wouldn't connect to WiFi, which wasn't a deal breaker. Most of the staff were friendly which was a positive. Paying over $300 a night for a room I was expecting better.

This hotel isnt as fancy as the really expensive ones in its immediate area, but considering the prime location directly across from the beach and the incredible price that was at least 3x less than anything close, we were happy with our stay. The room wasnt fancy, the listing pictures seemed pretty accurate, but it served our needs. The bed was large and comfortable, we had hot water in the bathroom, access to a pool and an ice machine. We arrived 3h early and couldn't check in yet they held our bags before as well as after we checked out and waited for our Uber. The wifi was basically useless in the room we had though. We definitely would stay here again

This hotel isn’t for the picky people. If it can rust it is. Water is yellow, bring your own to drink! Pool was awesome, staff was great! Rooms are clean but older so like I said rust, bugs( you’re in Florida). The price for where your are is great. Plenty of things to check out and food to try within walking distance. I wouldn’t recommend if you need fancy, but for a room on the beach 10 minutes from port Everglades and FLL international airport, I would stay again.

hotels.com states that this hotel has a restaurant and bar on-site. It does not. Both of them are closed down and you have to go across the street to another hotel for a restaurant or a bar. And a gift shop, they do have a little convenience store set up out front which is only open during daytime hours.

Next we entered the building and the lighting was low with a dingy hallway that had a musky odor. Took the elevator up to the 4th floor in search of 410. Signs did not clearly show where this unit was but we found it in the stairwell. The door opened to the balcony (weird) and then another door to get into the actual room. There were no light switches and the room was completely dark. Once we got the lights on we saw how dated and dilapidated the room was. Paint on the walls was peeling, the ceiling seemed dirty (fiberglass ceiling?), toilet and shower had stains and were a 70’s yellow/green color. We didn’t feel comfortable sleeping in the beds and immediately headed for the front desk. Lavonda was great and seemed to be very understanding of our concerns and stated Expedia would have the final say on refund. After contacting Expedia, they reached out to the hotel and our refund was issued in full. We even suggested this property should not even be an option here. Save your time and money and look elsewhere

I booked during a Black Friday promotion and paid around $140. Regular pricing was closer to $200–$240 per night, so I did get a discounted rate. That said, the property was very disappointing compared to the photos online. I wasn’t expecting luxury, but I did expect a clean, decent motel-style stay. It was hard to find at first because several LED letters on the sign weren’t working, and from the outside the building looked more industrial than welcoming. The room had a strong musty smell and felt very outdated. The bathroom looked run-down enough that we didn’t feel comfortable using it much. While the room had two beds and decent space, the overall condition and cleanliness took away from the experience. The location works if you just need a quick overnight stay at a low promotional rate, but the property did not match the photos or regular price expectations. Sharing an honest review so others can plan accordingly.

Linens were used and dirty and they didn't have any clean linens available in the hotel. I had to run to walmart and buy my own bath towels. The bedsheets were also used and filthy. They gave us clean sheets but didn't have pillow cases so I had to buy my own from Walmart as well. Tub didn't drain. It's in a great location right across from the beach, but not worth the filth. Just a disgusting place.

The hotel was probably super cute back in the 1960's when it first opened and then.....they decided to never update anything. Bathroom was dingy/ bathtub was stained and cracked, toilet looked like it came from a gas station. You had to slam your body into the bathroom door to get it to close. Rug in the bedroom was probably decades old. Beds were very lumpy and uncomfortable to boot. It was a cold night so we attempted to turn the heater on and it started smelling like burning...something. So we were too afraid to use it. To add insult to injury our room was right next to the door that leads to the parking lot which was also very heavy and old so anytime anyone came in or out, we were treated to a loud slamming noise that kept us up at night. Only redeeming quality was the location on the beach.

The overall condition of the room was extremely disappointing. Housekeeping isn’t included either — they charge extra if you request it. We checked in to this facility, and as soon as we saw the room, we checked back out. The entire place was very rundown and in disrepair. As we walked along a cat walk toward the room we had been assigned, the rooms we were passing by had peeling paint around the doors and windows, dented doors and door frames, and curtains that were falling down. As soon as we opened the door to our room, there was a very unpleasant odor of dampness mixed with smoke. The cover was off the AC unit and the exposed inside of it was covered with dirt and dust. The bed looked like it had been slept in and then the covers just pulled back up. There was really nothing in this “resort” that resembled the pictures online. This was certainly WELL below the stands we expect from Hotels.com.

Hard to access from the busy street. Had to go around the block three times. Was one night stay prior to a cruise. Unfriendly staff. Never made eye contact or smiled. Pics on website not current. Parking dark and seemed unsafe. Room was Numbered in 200’s but was in the basement. Hallways were very old and filthy dirty and stained. All door jams had rusty water drop stains all over them.No view of ANYTHING. Room walls were all bumpy and had layers and layers of very old paint. Everything was dark sienna brown or maroon. Felt like you were in a penitentiary serving time. Room was excessively damp. Entire hotel felt dirty, run down and unsanitary. I didn’t feel it was a safe environment. Pics on website seemed to have been taken long ago. Room I booked did NOT look as pictured. Told them I refused to take the room. They did not apologize and said that I could go. When I asked about them swiping my card they said they would “take care of it.” They never checked me out or anything. I had to ask them for a business card or something for contact information and follow up. Expedia contacted them but wouldn’t commit to refund! I’ll have to pursue BBB if they don’t comply. FLB is full of these unreliable misleading hotels. Recommend you don’t book here and spend TOP DOLLAR at a reputable chain or flagship hotel in area that has standards.

The drawers and desk handles were very loose, carpet was filthy. Faucet was leaking in bathtub. Refrigerator was very small and froze everything. The air conditioner made loud noise.

The first room I got the carpet was wet and smelled moldy and they changed me to another room. I never even took off my shoes. The room was disgusting and the bathtub and the entire bathroom was horrific.

Ok location, not a lot of restaurants around unless you want to spend a bunch of money. Better options about a 10min walk away. They do offer a shuttle to the cruise but for a fee.

Worst room ever shower had no hot water room was dirty. Doors were dirty. There was no microwave you had to pay to use the microwave five dollars per time a dollar for a fork or spoon. Coffee pot was filthy. The manager was rude. It was only one nice person on staff. I will never stay there again.

The room is very dirty. The carpet is filthy and smelly. The carpet smells very bad inside the room and outside in the hallway. Bathroom paint is peeling everywhere on the bathtub and the wall walls. Pieces of the ceiling inside the room fell onto the carpet. Very poorly maintained. The sliding door to the small deck outside was very hard to open very heavy. It was very low maintained. The location is excellent right on the beach.

The hotel is very old and poorly maintained. Our room had a terrible smell, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, the pillows were awful, and the blankets were bad as well. We barely slept the entire night. On the third floor, the internet did not work at all, which was very frustrating. On top of that, the hotel charged us additional fees, even though Expedia clearly stated that all fees were already included.

I visited this property 10 years ago. It was old but well taken care of. This property in its current state should be removed from the Travelocity website. The suite that I rented was so dirty I was forced to clean the room. There was a cross on the door made by what I gather was a cigarette butt. There was a table with a broken leg and a couch that was soiled to the point where I would not sit on it. I won’t begin to talk about the bathroom. Luckily I have played hockey for 30 years and have showered in worse places. I was so disappointed with this room I went next door and immediately booked another hotel room. I have stayed at the hotel next store many times. I will never make the mistake of going for the cheaper price again. I was forced to stay one night in this room. I was beyond disappointed and embarrassed since I brought my partner on this trip. The management refused to immediately refund my money. I could tell the management was very use to these complaints.

The restaurants they advertise do not exist. The exterior doors are rusted and the interior bathroom doors don’t shut. The bathroom tiles are stained/moldy, the water is brown, the paint is peeling and the carpets look like they haven’t been cleaned in thirty years. The only redeeming quality is I don’t think they had bedbugs. The beds were serviceable but not more. I found dirt under the duvet sheet after I had slept in it. I would never recommend this to anyone.

We checked in at 3pm only to check out by 7pm. The room they gave us was absolutely dirty and smelly. The bed sheets are full of stains and smelly. There are traces of vomit on the carpet and smear of feces on the wall. The room is no smoking. There’s a stench of mixture of smoke and weed. There’s a lot of molds on the ceiling and walls. It was hard to breathe inside. I tried to talk out my family to stay but they had to leave and walk around outside. I stayed behind because i was so tired and had to get some sleep. I laid on the bed fully clothed as don’t want to get anything in contact with my skin from the sheet. The family returned and we couldn’t take it anymore and had to leave. I understand the building is old compare to the other buildings around, but this building has not been well maintained and just neglected it. The front desk staffs are not happy working there as they seemed to be always agitated. The door card keys did not work the first time we got to the room and I had to get one the cleaning lady to open the door for us. A lot of guests had the same problem too with the card key. I think the keys doesn’t work because the lock that you swipe with the card are so rundown and rusted, and there’s a thick accumulation of dust all over the door lock. I think the business model they’re trying to run is to keep the operation cost very low but attract a lot of guests due to very low price they offer for the rooms and they don’t expect guests to return.

Beware!!! This hotel is not suitable for living at ALL! Ancient, outdated rooms without power outlets, literally no place to even plug your phone. Rooms havent been repaired or renovated for centuries. Bathroom is a separate horrifying story. Cockroaches, dirt, rust and totally disguisting shower, that we could not even use. Place needs to be shutdown and forced to be renovated. Do not stay there!!!

Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful! The bathroom was not cleaned. Dirty diaper in the trash can, used ear swabs on the floor. The sink was clogged. The water was yellow. None of the sockets worked. Smelled and was terrified that we would end up with bed bugs. We stayed as we had no choice. Thank God it was just one night. Place should be condemned.

Close to beach and nightlife

Bar was closed. I was afraid to walk barefoot on the carpet.

But location is amazing. And price. I stayed only 2 nights, so it was ok for short term, but I would book vacation stay here. Parking is good and included. Staff was really nice

Room was in awful disrepair, broken lamps, the bulb holder was dislodged and we were concerned for fire safety. Lamp shades were cracked. . Drain in tub was clogged, and the coffee maker didnt work. The place was dirty in the main public areas. . Every thing was old and in desperate need of updating. The location though, was perfect.

When I got to the room the shower was running, somebody else’s hair inside of it and somebody else’s feces were in the toilet. When I called down to the front desk to make them aware. They told me that their water is yellow there the room was not claimed there was bedbugs in the room and it was absolutely disgusting. I did not get a blink of sleep and neither did my kids. We were supposed to stay two nights we were gone the next morning by 10 AM. And that was after suffering to stay in the room until the next morning. It was honestly one of the most disgusting hotels I’ve ever rested. I would not recommend anybody to come here. The woman at the front desk told me that me and my kids could leave and go be in the street if we didn’t wanna be there and that they could not clean the room or put us in a different room. What a terrible experience please for your own good do not rent here.

Very Dirty Very Smelly Run Down place- Do Not Book

A classic antique-like piece like your grandmother's shoreside or lakeside cabin - really wonderful with all the fixtures - even a bottle opener on the wall! The pool was lovely and of a very swimable temperature. Although the lobby was mildewed, this could be easily and inexpensively remedied by scrub-downs and air-spray with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). One could even more effectively start first with a white-vinegar cleanse and spray when guests aren't around, and then follow up with the H2O2 after few hours. The pool was wonderful. Although some lamps didn't work, we didn't mind! It was fun!

I checked in and the place looked as described: worn but ok, I drive around back as instructed and found a full parking lot so squeezed the car in between a couple trucks. Then went to one of the worst motel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The sliding patio door did t lock, the carpet looked duty, the bathtub was literally peeling etc

The tv in my room did not work, my sheets where dirty, the room smelled like cat and there was alot of noise and banging at my door.

The WiFi didn’t connect to our phones in the room. The old TV mounted on the wall had a poor picture and wires dangling. Yes, the location was amazing. But the hotel(motel) itself is pretty rundown and patchwork. You get the feeling everything is from a yard sale, and the rooms are ‘lipstick on a pig.’

Old, run down, dirty and disappointing. The pictures on line were a joke compared to what we received. The only positive was the location to the beach and local places to eat. I would not recommend anyone waste their money on that’s rooms. Adjust your budget and stay at another location.

I booked 6 nights .In those 6 nights my room was not cleaned once.I was in room 522. The sheets on the bed are not white there dingy. There was roaches crawling on my shower curtain. I was told by the housekeeper the morning of the 22nd if i wanted my room cleaned i would need to call the front desk that it would be extra.The patio door is broken and does not lock. The front desk and housekeeper that worked the 5th floor sucks!!! They have a no care attitude. The ceilings pieces are dropping on the bed and carpet. I have pictures and would love to upload them😡😡😡

The whole place is very outdated to the point that there was no place to plug in to charge phones. There was an outlet in the bathroom but it was super loose and nothing would stay plugged in. The carpet in the room was sticky and spongy. The paint was peeling in multiple places and there was very obvious mildew all over the bathroom. The mini fridge hadn’t been cleaned out after the last guest and had multiple items in it. The check in staff didn’t provide any information for wifi and was very curt. The walls are very thin and we could hear the neighboring room quite clearly. Signs for the rooms are not clear with directions when you get out of the elevator. The parking spaces were super narrow.

The next day I politely asked the front desk for the correct room I paid for just to get out of THAT room I was in.I was told I had to check out of my room, wait & come back at 3:00pm to check in again. Now I’m waiting in my car for hours with all of my belongings. I called Expedia & asked if I can be partially compensated- 1. being downsized to to a cheaper room. 2. for actually not having any room at all that I paid for since I’m literally waiting in my car at this point. Expedia must have called the property to find out what happened to the room I booked & it REALLY UPSET the property.I was punished for that.At check-in…again… the front desk attendant said she had my original king size room with the ocean view ready that I booked, but her boss advised her to give me the king room without the ocean view, & give me the view of literally trash everywhere.(pics) So not only did I not get my room for the entire trip, I also got punished for letting someone know I was given the wrong room & requested the correct one the next day. No compensation, nothing. Expedia did nothing to help either.

The photos have to be from 20 years ago in its prime, it is now a much dingier run down hotel.the restaurant isnt even open.I would stay again because of the access to thw beach, but dont expect too much.

Front desk staff was very helpful and polite. Property is very old. There is only so much a coat of paint can cover up, but they have tried. Bed was comfortable.

Cons: mold and weird spots/stains around the bathroom, stained towels, hand soap the size of a quarter, light bulbs missing, rust and sealant on fixtures, mold on key card swipe outside door, one single hanger, whole facility hasn't been renovated in 20 years or so. Get what you pay for. Honestly, would consider staying there again despite all of the negatives.

The room was trashed when i opened the door after a long trip. They gave me another room , no WiFi , I went to the check in desk and they told me there are too many people sharing the internet … WHAT ?

Built 1959 and it looks like it. Old and maintained..is ok…but this place is just old. The staff were friendly and helpful but if our room is any indication of the condition of the other rooms then this place is a dump. Mold in the bath room …… no outlets …. Lighting broken… looks like it was once a beautiful place…but that was a different century

The entire hotel was a dump. Smells dirty. Cold and old . Walked in and had to walk out. The lady on front desk understood our concerns. The room was a fire hazard. I would like my money back. We had to find another hotel for those 3 nights!

Property was one of the worst properties I ever stayed at. It reminded me of an extended stay because apparently it is people there who are staying over the period of a vacation stay. The property needs to be remodeled it’s old. It’s outdated the rooms look like something back in the 80s not current. This was not a good stay for me.

Coming in early and couldn't check in. Understandable but, just was not very empathetic and was very blunt. Room was barely desirable. Aged and unkempt.

The toilet bowl seat was broken, the back stairs is one accident away from a lawsuit it needs to be taken down and replaced rust everywhere. I would pull all the carpet out to get rid of the odor you are in Miami/ft Lauderdale no carpet needed it’s a beach area. The hotel is in nice location and is attracting guests. However, it needs to be gutted and modernized, sink and tub are in terrible condition to include the faucets etc. No breakfast provided..no bottle water in the rooms etc. The front desk staff was great!

My husband and I have stayed here before years ago so decided to book with this hotel again, but this time 3 separate rooms for our additional family members. The rooms were large but horrible. There was a terrible smell in each room. Carpets were smelly, walls were worn and might have had mold, furniture was broken and old. The "bar/restaurant" was still not open from our last stay as the photos states otherwise (it being open and lively). Looks like it was hit by a hurricane and never recovered. My mother believed that this hotel might have been a half-way house for either homeless or recovering drug addicts. Upon check-in the staff was mediocre and stand off-ish. We also saw local police officers come and speak with the front desk stating someone from the hotel had made a complaint about a stolen wallet. As for the location, the beach was very close which is another reason why we decided to book the hotel again.

Property is directly across the street from the beach. The staff were friendly and understanding and available to address concerns to the best of their ability. The property is in deplorable conditions. Mold on the curtains, discolored tubs and toilets, toe nail clippings on the floor, open crackers in the drawers, large white stains (like wet tissue dried on the floor and ground into the carpet).

As you all can already tell by now per the reviews, this place is absolutely a no go. It’s like they don’t even try, no seriously, hallways reeks of marijuana and cigarette smoke, dust and stain on literally all the walls, every piece of metal in the building is rusted to the point of disintegration. The steel steps outside are so badly rusted you could see the bottom floors through the steps, this is highly a safety hazard. And should be deemed, the smell in the rooms were of molding under the carpet and ammonia. Roaches everywhere! Back doors are being propped open for just anyone to come in. Pictures online are FAKE! Expedia should really do something about scamming guest on what you actually get.

Prostitution, rooms outdated, rooms smelled really bad, frequent door slamming, dirty baths, toilets, no microwave, hallways smelled like pee. Online pictures are lies. I stayed out as long as I could so I can spend as less time inside. Room was ran down walls disgustingly dirty floor dirty. Don’t get me started on the bathroom! Never once did they come and give new CLEAN linen. Absolutely no plug in outlets worth a damn. Curtains dangling off the rail so no privacy. Restaurant is non existent, ice machine did not work who knows for how long There was ONLY 1 staff member that was beyond nice he was a young gentleman that checked out the last day!

Great location! Loved the on-site parking. You can tell that this hotel used to be something really cool. If they could get the bar and restaurant back open, it would be a much better place! There are some really cool elements to it, I do love an old place and definitely understand how difficult old places can be to care for. This one has a lot of character. The room was in rough shape, but the bed was comfortable, the table and chairs, bedding, all of that it's clean. The pool area was pretty nice. And you can't beat crossing the street for the beach. A great place to stay for a night or so.

Although you could see the beach from outside the room the room itself was incredibly dirty with what looked like mold in the ceiling vent. Hair was found under the pillows. I would not recommend a stay here. The staff were nice at the front desk however it was not worth the overnight here.

Our stay at this hotel was not pleasant, bathroom was missing things, tub was peeling and got flooded, rugs were dirty, sheets and towels were stained. No restaurant / bar as advertised. Couldnt sit out on the balcony due to the water from the other rooms ac. Couldnt cancel cause I already paid and couldnt afford another 300-400 elsewhere. I should get some kind of refund..wont be coming back.

I dont know where to start from. First of all, the pics on Expedia are misleading. There is no restaurant as shown in pic. It was closed 3 yrs ago. The hotel is filthy, starting from the hallway to the rooms, which lack basic amenities such as microwave not in the room, nor there is housekeeping services. Air conditioning not working, lights flickering in the bathroom, I thought I would get electrocuted and even cockroaches on the floor as they dont clean the rooms, unless you check out. If felt unsafe staying there, so please dont make the same mistake and book your stay here. I complained and wanted to speak to a manager and I was told to check tomorrow and the day after and no one assisted. If you like budget friendly hotels, go to super 8 or motel 6, they are wayyy better

The Sea Club Resort was a very nice stay for my boys and I. It was close to lots of restaurants and shops. The staff was super friendly. And overall the stay for a couple day was just what we were looking for.

the sheets had multiple stains on them, i was given towels with stains on them, my straighter broke because it kept falling out of the one available socket in the bathroom. i had to check out early because of how uncomfortable i was sleeping in the bed with stains

Hubby and I wanted to getaway for the weekend and I found this place right across the street from the beach. Price was great so I booked it. Positives: checking in was a breeze, free parking lot, cute pool area, and our room had a little balcony which we enjoyed a lot. Negatives: the hotel and rooms haven't been renovated in probably decades

Yes it’s an older hotel and not in the greatest of shape, but for the value it was excellent. Right in front of the beach and near the restaurants. So if you’re on a budget this is definitely your best bet. It’s not great but it’s not the worst I’ve ever stayed in.

The bathroom was really bad the walls were dirty. The carpet smelled like something died in my daughter’s room. The couch in my suit had big liquid stains on the cushions I used the towels to cover it. Unfortunately we will not be staying here again

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The photos of the property are either old or photoshopped. Stains on the carpet, grime on everything, rude staff, no amenities unless you count the mold or the trash in the pool. The door to the room didnt close all the way. Don't waste your money, it will be a restless night. Staff did not care, they are so used to the complaints told me that they have no clean rooms because the cleaning staff is bad. Don't be fooled by the name, only resort part about it is that they charge you a resort fee.

This place looks nothing like the pictures. It’s dirty, smells, has writing on the walls. The restaurant that there are pictures of is no longer there and looks like it hasn’t been for years. The power outlets looked to be old and not something I would want to plug things into. I checked in and within an hour checked out and found somewhere else to stay. Would absolutely not recommend.

Hotel was across the street from the beach in a prime central spot. The hotel was is old but property is decently maintained . Over all cleanliness was acceptable but rooms are run down ( old furniture, tub faucet not working and knob falling off, tub was dirty/ old from years of use and not replaced) rooms were bare bones , microwave was an upgrade, lots of parking for guests in the back of the building. The front desk staff were exceptionally nice and accommodating. the clerk offered a free upgraded to the suite so we didn’t have to walk with all our luggage far and to have a kitchenette as we were travelling with a baby

This is the best dump on the beach. Dated, not painted, plaster on the floor in the rooms. This hotel has been around since the 1950s and looks like no one's done anything to it since the 80s. I love that it is one of the smallest places to stay on the beach and has not changed on the outside and is not overbuilt like the rest of the beach which is such a shame. Couple people on the front desk friendly. One of the ladies seems like you're bothering her all the time . One housekeeper never smiles is the grouchiest person I've ever seen in my life even when you speak friendly to her. This isn't a place to go expecting great rooms great decor or great service. This isn't affordable place to stay on the beach. I liked my room because it was quiet had a balcony and a beautiful tree outside. I would definitely stay here again if the price was still right and I was on a budget. You get what you pay for. I'm not knocking a place. I'm just being honest. If you expect nothing but a bed and AC and a place on the beach this is the place for you!

Resort is very outdated. Pictures are misleading

Needless to say, I did not, and will not stay the night. The only positive feedback i have is how attentive the front desk was. They seemed genuinely shocked when i showed them the pictures and offered an imediate refund.

The staff were very friendly, but the facility was not at all what it was advertised to be. The restaurant and gift shop are both closed, so I had to walk a mile to find something to eat. The entire place was dirty and there were bugs in the bathroom. I was unable to find other accommodations after arriving, so I ended up buying cleaning supplies to clean my room enough to stay there. There were no "do not disturb" signs available, but at no time during my stay did anyone attempt to enter the room to clean it.

Cheap and simple. Dated property but fun and close to the beach

Misleading description of the hotel and property, on the website. Rooms are dirty along with the hallways. Saw several cockroaches. We will never stay there, again.

The staff were all very kind and helpful, and the room was exactly what I wanted. Great view and perfect spot.

I don't mind an old hotel/motel, as long as its clean. This is just filthy. Writing this as i uber to a different hotel for the night. Didnt want to sleep here, shower here or even brush my teeth without a bottle of water. Lesson learned. These guys are just waiting on demolition.

This was without a doubt the most run down hotel I have stayed in for the last 30 years of business travel, the floors were nasty the walls were nasty, the shower was the most mold invested thing I have ever seen. They quoted $11 per house cleaning if I wanted the room cleaned. The balcony doors couldn't be opened. The hallways were the cleanest thing in the hotel and those were grimy.

Aging property, Needs some TLC. Very accommodating staff though. Pricing was very good for a beach side resort.
