Location was nice. Marijuana smokers all over the property. The smell was terrible and they lied about the pool being closed at 8pm. It’s actually open overnight.

This started as terrible experience when the room at Holiday Isle Yacht club hotel was locked and property phone number was not working. Expedia offered to trasfer me to different hotel. Was not happy because there was only one other hotel that I liked and they had no rooms available. Also only later realized 3 options Expedia agent provided were belonging to same group. She did offer we could continue looking but we were exhausted, it was raining and we had load of groceries. I had to wait by office for a while for person to come to check us in. Apparently one person responsible for multiple hotels at the same time. He was friendly and helpful. We got a suite with king bedroom, living room had two queens and a couch. It was raining and entrance way was slippery however there were no warning signs. Also there was eater inside rooom by the door. The floor was crying to be professionally cleaned and walls needed to be painted. It didn't feel clean. Shower curtains had mold on it. I wanted to go and buy Tilex honestly. It was a great space with great potential but they need new cleaning team and new maintenance team. Pools need more chairs to accommodate more then one family. Someone needs to check furniture more often. Couch and soft chairs had multiple stains on, couch was also not working properly when we tried make a bed out of it and the comforter we found inside the couch was absolutely destroyed and not usable.

This is a great, quaint little place that reminds me of old Florida. The staff is very attentive. The rooms are clean and it’s a perfect location.

The staff was super nice and accommodating however the rooms were gross. It needs to be updated. The sink and the shower were stopped up so we were taking showers in still water. I’m glad we only stayed one night bc we had a toddler with us. How gross.

The room had a small kitchen. It was clean. The pools were clean. The hotel is so cute with a great vibe. It was great having the Village Cafe attached to the hotel for breakfast each morning. It was a block from the beach. Paying for parking.

Katrina at the front desk was amazing . This place is such a good concept , and the property is set up well with the foliage , pools , jacuzzi . I loved all of the little paths throughout . But it desperately needs an overhaul . The rooms are not clean Floors , doors , walls, headboard and sheets had stains and needed to be scrubbed . Faucet in the bathroom was loose , and a/c filter was filthy .most things were just stained and/ or dirty . Could be a really beautiful spot if the owners put money into rehabbing everything

Hotel seemed understaffed. Upon checking the office door was locked with no staff at front desk. Waited outside for 25 minutes at 1030 pm after a late flight, for the front desk. Front desk was often empty with locked office, staff not around if you needed something. Pools were lovely, price was pretty good.

Airconditioning was making so much noise. They should change it. Shower stopped working as if it is a third world country hotel. Pilow cover was made out of low quality synthatic meterial . At night so much light comes in the room- you can not get sound sleep. This hotel needs to be renovated.

We were not able to check in when we returned to the hotel more than an hour after check in time because our "floors hadn't been cleaned" - mind you, we dropped our baggage off around 9:30am and did all of the check in paperwork at that time, so they knew they were coming in. When they finally had our room ready, nearly 90 minutes after check in, we were greeted with a room with schmutz on the floors and dust bunnies in the corners beside the bathroom vanity... The staff was rude and flippant when we expressed our discontent with the check in issues as though it is the norm for this hotel to not have rooms ready at check in time. Not to mention there was mold growing in the shower, the hot tub was the color of Red Bull, and the grounds were a hot mess. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

great staff, had everything we needed had to pay for parking

Left a day early due to cleanliness and people playing trap music and smoking weed by the pool which happened to be right outside my door. When leaving early the front desk said they couldn't do anything about the extra night I was leaving but refunded my parking fee. Comical. All good though, probably would have ended up with my car broken into if we stayed. Avoid this place, trust me.

We ended up finding the perfect fit at the Aqua Hotel! Maggie and Natalia went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our room. Maggie is a true gem, and her warm, family-style hospitality is exactly what I appreciate most about places like this. Another huge plus is the variety of amenities. There are several pools to choose from, including both saltwater and freshwater pools, along with relaxing hot tubs throughout the property. The location is also fantastic — nestled just two blocks from the beach and surrounded by so many great places to shop, eat, and grab a drink. And whatever you do, do not skip Archibald’s Bakery! Because of the way we were treated, we will absolutely be back.

AC very noise when it was on. You can heard everything from room to room. Bathroom such in a bad conditions not like in the pic that shows. Room was clean when we arrive but we didn’t had service in 5 days will we ask to have some clean towels. Great location but there is so many other options to choose from. I have always book with Expedia and the pic they show r same as rooms but Not this time! I would not recommend to stay here

Room had the loudest air conditioner which rattled all night.

Ac was perfect, kitchen has a coffee pot they supply the coffee, we always bring our creamer. Full size fridge and stove with serving for 2 -3 people… we didn’t need any more so it was fine for us. We had a small problem where the water in Shower would not work… the management quickly rectified this by offering us a one bedroom with kitchen at Aqua which was directly across the street. They upgraded with no added charge. We were very thankful. Beds are super comfortable we love this place! Also had a fabulous dinner at Wine garden food is on point with an excellent Wine list!

Nice location, room was big with a nice and comfortable bad. AC was loud and hard to use, with windows overlooking the jacuzzi, where people parting till 3 am is not a great combination.

Black mold in the shower and on the shower curtain, our mini fridge was broken and leaked water everywhere, the smell of cleaning products to cover up the mouldy musky smells was over whelming and gave us headaches. Nothing like the photos!

The location was fantastic! Great walking area. On site restaurant was excellent but a bit overpriced. The hot tubs and heated pools were good. Superb staff. All of the pools should be heated. The room was kind of small, no dresser for storage and both sides of the bed should have end tables. Would be very easy to add a dresser unit at the foot of the bed under the tv for more clothes storage. Hot water was iffy.

Great location & friendly staff Absolutely ZERO hot water. We tried to shower twice during our one night stay and both times the water was freezing. We were leaving for a cruise that morning so we had no choice but to suck it up and freeze if we wanted to attempt getting clean.

I arrived earlier than the standard check‑in time, and the staff was kind enough to let me check in early. That small gesture really set the tone for the rest of my stay and made me feel welcomed right away. One thing to note: the spa wasn’t just under renovation — it actually wasn’t on this property at all. It’s located at a sister property that guests have access to. I didn’t know that beforehand, so it was a little disappointing since the spa was a big reason I booked. Even with that, the rest of the experience made up for it. The location is truly perfect. There are plenty of walkable restaurants, the beach is right there, and it’s close to both the airport and the mall. I felt like I was in a great, convenient area with everything I needed nearby. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Once the spa situation is fully sorted out, it’ll be even better.

Loved my spacious second floor corner room with lots of natural light. Ground floor rooms would appear to be darker. No phone in room. Good luck if you need immediate assistance. Office closed at 6am. Rang bell repeatedly. No answer. Few restaurants in immediate vicinity. Most 10-15 min. walk away. A more than generous 7/10.

I needed a room with a full fridge and freezer. Jazzmen made sure she secured my request fast and efficiently. The room was an updated one bedroom suite and super comfortable. Jazzmen gave us great customer service and made sure our stay was comfortable. The hot water stopped working but the staff quickly switched guest to another property next door.

We loved the location for walking, it was difficult to find parking in the evening close to our hotel. The courtyard with hot tub was very nice and so was the staff. It's obviously an older hotel so continual upkeep needed but we did see staff actively working around the property.

We got the handicapped accesible king room. It was Spacious, clean and comfortable. We stayed one night and didn't use the different pools , but they looked very nice. All was ok.

I don't normally write reviews but think I should in this case. I'm usually good with budget hotels that aren't perfect--would rather not spend a ton on accommodations. But in this case, there were some unfortunate issues. We had no hot water (slightly tepid), had to go and get enough towels for all of us, and the cleanliness of the room was questionable (floor needed mopped, could see hairs stuck to wall, bottom few inches of all walls looked maybe like they had mildew? or lots of dirt?). One couple came into office and said there were people partying from midnight until 5 am and the staff person said they don't have people working at night and they can't and won't do anything about that. The people were very polite and the response wasn't. We just stayed at a very small hotel in another country and they had 24 hour staff. This is also part of a larger complex--and it's alarming that they don't have people on staff around the clock. The pool and hot tub and garden areas are cute, and the location is great. The price was right, but just know that even if you don't mind if your accommodations aren't 'perfect', this was a little bit too much for us. With some paint and more attention to detail/cleaning/hot water needs, it would be great, I'm sure. Again, I'm not a complainer, but I rely on these reviews and so felt the need to be honest for others so they are prepared.

If you like bathroom floors that flood when you take a shower, mold and grime in your shower stall, rusted track lighting, filthy ovens, dirty walls, a room that NEVER GETS CLEANED, then this place is for you. Otherwise I’d stay away. We booked a family suite, were given room 2200 and it was just horrible. I cringed every time I had to shower. One of the few times in my life I was glad to wear glasses because in the shower I didn’t have them on and couldn’t see the nastiness of it. Honestly, with 5 people in a “suite” the room needs attention at least every other day. The grounds - old pools that need to be cleaned, landscaping that needs to be done, bricks that are loose and a potential hazard. You want help? Good luck. 9 times out of 10, the office was locked with no one around. Oh and the “gym”? Caution tape around a broken mirror and the cable machine. Lights that weren’t all working, equipment that looked like it came from a dumpster. How they can call this a hotel is beyond me. It’s part of what they call the “North Beach Resort” and maybe the other rooms and/or hotels were in better shape but I’d never ever go back. What we did like - proximity to beach, the juice bar, bakery and taco truck. I never leave reviews but I just couldn’t let this go.

Room was just what we needed. Only complaint is the AC window units weren’t great. It was really loud but luckily it was too hot so we were able to turn one window unit off.

Overall area seems older. However everything was clean and/or renovated. A boutique style hotel with many quaint areas to relax. Pool areas were very clean. We utilized the laundry. Note: 1 washer and dryer, laundry is not coin operated as it was originally reported. Must download an app and pay digitally. Complementary breakfast is not offered as there’s a restaurant onsite and other ‘village restaurants and cafes’ near by.

The room was not ready as expected (lacking pull out counch / bed linens and pillows and low on towels and missing shower hair conditioner) but the hotel employees responded in a reasonable time to rectify. Rooms were clean but furniture a bit dated. Busy area but hotel was more quiet than expected, just 2-3 blocks from the Beach and steady traffic. Easy 2-3 blocks for bars and restauarants and Beach. No breakfast included but restaurant on site and coffee / breakfast options with just a couple blocks away. Small kitchen was well stocked. AC worked well. Felt safe but poor side street lighting.

Tap in kitchen needs to be tightened as it moved back and forth. Water turned off for a period of time and never advised of water situation. Water pressure in shower poor. Check in at 3:00 couldn’t check in until 4:00.

Overall the room was clean and kitchen had appliances. No linen for the sofa bed. The hot tub never heated. The day time staff did not respond to linen request or explain property amenities. Nighttime staff was very responsive.

We booked this trip to celebrate my husband's birthday. It started out great the property is located right on a beautiful beach. The hotel room "appeared" to be great. First came the issue with our dinner reservations for my husband's birthday. The person that booked the dinner reservations made a mistake and didn't enter it into their system. Mistakes happen. No worries. When we showed up at the restaurant the two hostesses were so unprofessional about it. Basically, telling us that we had to find somewhere else to eat since we were not booked for that night. Thankfully, I had the list of restaurants on a piece of paper from the woman that originally booked us and retrieved it from my room which still did not rectify the situation immediately or give us an apology for the way they initially acted. Eventually we were seated but at that point we felt very unwelcomed. In addition, 2 days in we noticed that my son had bites on him but not realizing what it was we brushed it off. By the end of our 5-day trip, my son had multiple bites all over his body. When we realized this was an issue we went to guest services in the lobby. There were 3 people that saw the bites and brushed us off. I took several pictures you be the judge of what they are.

We had a good overall stay! The staff was very nice and accommodating for our early flight in and late flight out. The only issue was that the shower was not draining, and our bathroom door knob was very loose. The hotel was very helpful and got those things fixed efficiently!

Walls and windows are very thin on the first floor. Never used the Wifi. Pools looked nice but came for the beach.

The atmosphere was amazing. There's multiple pools and a huge hot tub. Great for pictures with the girls! Literally like a two minute walk from the beach and a two minute walk from a market in the resort where you could get really anything you need! Definitely stay here! I know I will again

Thought I was getting the room in the picture that I booked. Did not realize there are multiple building within the hotel that defiantly are not the same. The room was "renovated" but looked very beat and worn. Pools and hot tubs did not look especially clean, and all buildings had stairs (no elevators) and there were multiple steps from building to building in the connecting courtyards. Of course screaming spring break kids running past our door all night did not help.

The room that our friends were staying in (different building than ours) seems to have been updated somewhat recently, while our room was very outdated. Our room was on the ground floor and smelled very musty/moldy. It was dark, sort of dank, and not very clean. Based on the two rooms I saw, the reviews of this place make sense. It could be hit or miss with the rooms depending on where you get placed! The pools/outdoor areas were nice, the staff was friendly, and the location was very convenient. I didn’t hate it but I also wouldn’t stay there again.

The shower drain was clogged, so the water would build up while showering until my feet were basically sitting in dirty bathwater. When I notified the staff, they told me no one would be able to come fix it the same day, which I found pretty unacceptable. The bed was also extremely soft to the point where it felt like I was sinking in. Overall, the location is great, but the cleanliness and maintenance were questionable.

The bed squeaks but we slept ok. The only washing machine didn’t Work all week. The pools and hot tubs were great. People were very nice. We were supposed to have a room in a certain spot and we were told they would do a do not move but we got moved because they gave our room away even though we were there at check in time. This was a problem because my husband uses a walker and there were a ton of stairs and over and no railings. And the other room you didn’t have to go up or down stairs. If the kinks could get worked out, we would go back.

Loved the North Beach Village - access to multiple properties, restaurant on site, market, bakery / coffee shop, gallery! We also loved the the updated 1950’s properties. Great location to access the beach. We will definitely go back!

Loved the North Beach Village - access to multiple properties, restaurant on site, market, bakery / coffee shop, gallery! We also loved the the updated 1950’s properties. Great location to access the beach. We will definitely go back!

The room was dirty, dingy, outdated by 20yrs, smelly and I can go on. The shower was hot and the pressure was great, but within 60 seconds, you are standing in ankle deep water, that continues to rise. I'm sorry I had to even leave 1 star, honestly.

I love staying in this hotel. It reminds me somewhat of the historic hotels on South Beach. Convenient to the beach and boardwalk but tucked away from traffic. Had access to several pools. Breakfast next door was very good as well.

This is a very low key place. It is far from luxury accommodations, but it was recently renovated. I was traveling with 2 friends. We stayed in the family suite and it offered plenty of room for us at a lower price than a 2 queen bed room elsew.

Staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage with them after our cruise so that we could walk around, explore the area and grab lunch while waiting to check in. Staff were available 24 hours a day in case guests needed anything (but we didn’t). The hotel is quirky and cute. It’s not luxurious by any means, but the price point is good for the area. We found several small pools and sitting areas scattered around the grounds and enjoyed sitting out under the lights at night enjoying the warm breeze and a drink. There are lots of restaurants nearby; the beach is a 3 minute walk, and there’s even a CVS fairly close for a few groceries and beverages. We would stay here again.

The floor in our room was extremely dirty and made our feet black. Overall cleanliness was lacking.

I have no idea how this place is rated so high. Everything is rusty, falling apart, old. Nothing wrong with that if that's what I knew I signed up for. Mold in one corner of the room. Room was ready but they chose to not let us in until 3:00pm on the dot. Which hey, I get it. They're not wrong technically.

The room was clean but showed some wear and tear. Check-in process was a bit disorganized, but I felt the staff was trying hard to accomodate a lot of activity. The elevator was out of order so getting luggage up the stairs was a challenge. On our second night the handle broke off the door from the outside making it hard to get the door open. With a little manuevering, I was able to open the door and the staff moved us immediately to another room. They even helped get things moved downstairs.

This is a budget hotel. Room was extremely stark and old. You get what you pay for.

The hotel was conveniently located and within walking distance to the beach, restraunts, and shops. The property was cute and quiet. We booked the family room which was very accommodating for us. The only complaints about the room is that the shower faucet was very worn out and took atleast 20 minutes to find the hot water. Also, the bathroom doesnt have an exhaust fan which created more humidity in an already humid environment, but not a deal breaker. Last complaint is the staff member that checked us in and assisted us on the first 2 days of our vacation was very rude. Not only to us, but other customers checking in to the hotel. It was a rough way to start a vacation and made us feel unwelcome. The overnight staff we interacted with was very helpful and accommodating.

Cons: up to five hour delays for staff to respond to texts, nobody was available to check me in, no bottled water provided - you have to purchase it from the cafe next door, the wifi only works intermittently - rebooted once and was trouble-free for only a few minutes afterwards, there were no beach towels available every day of my stay - I had to buy my own - was told supply is “limited at peak times” which was always, air conditioning unit is very loud, the hot water takes a few minutes to work, the washroom stays humid so towels smell, no windows or ventilation, floors are very dirty, gum caked on the floors in many spots, black mould all over the bathroom ceiling, the bed pillows are completely flat

The room was very big. It easily handled our family of 6. The kitchenette was decent with basic dishes and a stove and fridge. The one bathroom was adequate. It seemed a little run down but was functional. The whole area was quirky but we'll maintained. My main complaint was that the floors were absolutely filthy and the mattresses need to be replaced due to broken springs. Pricing was high, but fair for the location, number of beds and it bring in the middle of the holiday season

The room had a very strong odor of bleach, but the room was filthy. There was an ac unit pointing at the bed that was so loud and dusty there was no way to sleep with the noise and dust flying off! I ended up plugging my portable fan up just to keep the noise down. Speaking of noise, every time someone goes in or out their room the door slammed and you heard everything happening in the next room. There was mold on the shower, the toilet was loose, there were stains on the walls, the floor was absolutely disgusting, the tv was in horrible condition (color and sound), the touch lights were all rusty and disgusting, the door had a gap at the bottom that you could see outside, there was no light outside my door making it hard for the doordasher to find the room. I could go on and on with pictures and videos to support. I think that a true review best suits to possibly keep someone from being fooled into believing the website provides a good depiction of this dilapidated “resort”

Our overall trip was great. Jasmine helped us through the time that we arrived in we left. We decided to pay the extra money to check in early and stay late. It was well worth it. We loved the Jacuzzi. It was perfect. No one in there at all. We love the restaurant Village Café next-door had great food. Then we walked down to Sun Surf Sand restaurant, food was amazing food! overall Trip was perfect 5❤️

Staff was very friendly. We had trouble with our door key the first day and they wound up having to change the lock itself. Apparently it was a known problem. Just not sure why they didn't change it between guest stays. Otherwise the stay was pleasant. They do need to put the do not disturbs signs in the room so we dont have to ask at the desk

Door lock had been broken and room did not feel secure. HUGE amount of mold inside PTAC. No one had cleaned or maintained these for years. The room itself was clean except for a large stain on the cheap sofa. Bed was great, toiletries OK. Decent mid-range stay, but the price for value was a little tough to justify. Also, annoying resort fee with no real amenities + $10/day for parking. Also, they do not staff the office as they operate other nearby and seem to prioritize other office presence. Always did respond within 5 minutes, but the office was never open when we were there. Most annoying thing was the resort fee tack-on for no resort amenities or features.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. The motel itself was nice, nothing fancy with basic amenities. Really enjoyed the proximity of beach & dining. My main complaint is no blackout curtains... extremely bright first thing in the morning. Other small complaint was the cleaning solution used to clean rooms was too strong & overpowering... I had to open all the windows to help get some of the smell out.

The ac had to be on 64 to cool the rooms. Felt pretty humid inside. The lights where the 2 bed were didn’t work, door handles were coming off. The place wasn’t bad. It was a hassle finding the main office. The laundry/ice room has a terrible sewage smell extremely unpleasant!!!! All the pools were not clean and the rooms are out dated!!!

The neighborhood was great and it is an easy walk to the beach. There were several pools and the grounds were nice. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. It is an older building and the bathroom was not air conditioned sso go very hot. It could use an update.

Our trip was a mix of vacation that transitioned into work. We've been back several times over the years. Management is accommodating and the value on their properties is unbeatable. If you are taking pictures of minor cracks etc. and posting bad reviews for properties like these, you are the problem. Don't listen to those reviews. It's easy to judge a place based on a zoomed in photo... but as people that travel several times a year, we are always blown away at how nice these places are for the price point (and don't get me started on how massive the rooms are!). If you are on the fence about any North beach village property, try it for one night! I promise it won't disappoint!

All the North Beach Village properties are great and we LOVE coming back multiple times per year(to give you an idea.. we have over 50 stays here between myself and my fiance). In fact, this trip has put us in a unique position and we are deciding whether we want to relocate to Fort Lauderdale through the end of the year (because we are getting married in Miami this August!) While we had a hiccup this trip with customer service, it was immediately addressed by Amanda and it will not deter us from returning in the future. We understand this isn't the Ritz Carlton, but all of their properties are meant to feel like a welcoming community and that is what we expect (and get) when we come. I encourage everyone to checkout the North Beach Village Resort website and take a look at all 12(ish?) of their properties. They have everything from studios to HUGE penthouse units... and even at the largest room, the prices are incredible. Each unit on each property is unique from the ones before it which is why we love to bounce around between properties when we have longer trips. Again, the prices and location are unbeatable. If you do not book with them, you are doing yourself a disservice! Beach Gardens, specifically, we have found to be the most private. It near the corner of a quiet road with nearly no traffic 24/7. It is a 60 second walk to the beach from your front door. Being from NY, we haven't noticed the construction noise AT ALL! Trust me on that one!

The hotel is older, but reasonably well maintained. There were often no towels and in the week that I stayed the bed linens were only changed once and I had to request it. The bathroom was cursorily cleaned. One night a family had brought a dead pig, decapitated it cleaned it, and roasted it in front of one of the swimming pools. The party and use of the pool lasted well past dark with music and partying. The next day the area was not well cleaned and the garbage was overflowing. I will not likely return to this hotel.

Great staff and the hotel was clean. Someone from the hotel texted me the second day there and advised me to text them if we had any questions and was quick to respond. There were also two gas grills that we could use on the patio which was really nice. Multiple hot tubs and pools also the kids had a blast swimming and watching the lizards and iguanas. The best part is that the ocean was just a block away! Had a great time!

I love the set up of this property because we are a big family! It has a cool exterior vibe too! We found not one fake nail on our night stand but another one in our bathroom. There was a ball of hair in the hallway or the room. It wasn’t ours. I think this place could be stellar for location and vibe but lacks on the clean side. The sweetheart that checked us in gets 5 stars! I wish I would have got her name to give her a shout out!

Overall, this wasn't a bad old style FL hotel. The pools and hot tub were in good shape and clean. The layout of the property was neat but there are a lot of stairs. We had fun finding all the different pools. The room, however, was a little run down. Clearly renovated a few years ago but not touched since. The white walls were very dingy and needed cleaning. The floor was scraped up and water pressure/temperature was not great. It was fine for a one night stay and we enjoyed the pools and proximity to the beach.

I was just not a fan how my hotel room was cleaned because I saw stuff that are not likeable on the floor especially the bathroom. Otherwise, the staff are super helpful and friendly. The place is good for a one night stay and is next to a really cute café named Village Cafe. The food is bomb and the service is great as well! The location is perfect, it was a few minutes away from the restaurants and CVS. The beach side was less than a 10 minute walk

Such a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Only a 3-5 minute walk to the beach. A friendly staff who will go the extra mile to make sure you get what you need at front desk. The cleaning staff is top notch, They will show up everyday with fresh towels and toiletries, and fix up the beds so quickly, you wont even realize they were there. The rooms are nicely renovated, air conditioner worked like a charm. I Cannot wait to come back soon!

The beautiful young ladies at the front desk were very accommodating and helpful to my needs. The accessible King suite was comfortable and easy to maneuver around. Definitely would stay here again! Beware, our unit looked nothing like the pictures shown in the advertisement. This is an old motel style building. The bed was good and appeared similar to the ad, however everything else was very dated. There were a few updates such as painting and plastering done that were clearly not professional. The shower stall appeared to be painted over and had pieces of the paint cracking off. There was no kitchenette as shown in the pictures. Instead, the mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker were stacked on top of each other in an old closet. Nowhere to put away clothes except a few hangers, no bathroom fan. The restaurant is beautiful and appears very new compared to the rooms. The location is great, staff was friendly and room was reasonably clean, however you can likely get somewhere similar to stay for half the price.

Place was a great value. 4 pools and two hot tubs set in a beautiful layout with nice landscaping and lighting were what stood out in a great way. Only complaints were ugly bathroom tile work (no big deal) and the mattress i slept on for 3 nights had a terrible buckle in the middle. Assume it was from a previous guest jumping on the bed and breaking the box spring maybe. Highly recommend the place due to price and amenities though. Would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel is a gem! It’s right next to the beach and there are plenty of dining options. The staff are friendly. The room was spacious and cute.

Overall, we were very happy with our 3 night stay at North Beach Hotel. The location was a big homerun. Only a block away from the beach and surrounded by many restaurants. Destiny, at the front desk, was friendly, professional and helpful. The hotel was not noisy. Although the room may need renovation, it was practical, functional, and comfortable. It was clean and the ac worked loud but cool. Bed and shower were fine too. The pool are by our room was nice. We were able to borrow chairs and an umbrella for the beach. I would recommend this hotel.

The room was clean and nice. The property was not what we expected. I asked about an elevator and was told they had one in a building (not realizing they had numerous buildings). The room we received required a bit of a maze-like walk and was not elevator accessable and required dragging suitcases up and down numerous stairs to get to our room. If you are unable to navigate stairs you might want to reconsider booking with this hotel.

It was great! We got there late and they quickly answered the bell and got us into our rooms which were quiet and clean and comfortable. It’sa great location very close to the beach- I’d stay there again😊

The proximity to the beach cannot be beat. I feel like the pictures are not accurate of the room. The kitchen had bare minimum of cooktop, fridge, microwave, and bare bones dishes. As other reviewers noted, the floors were dirty. So dirty we had to wear shoes indoors and wash our feet off before getting in the bed. We did not have hot water one night of our stay. There were 4 pools, all small backyard sized pools. The heated one was good for my children. If you're looking for bare bones close to the beach this is for you. We would likely not stay here again.

I’ll start with the pros, a quick easy walk to the beach, several pools to choose from, available during spring break. The cleaning staff provided adequate towels & linens upon request. That’s about it. Here are the cons: The rooms are severely outdated, it took a good five minutes to get hot water out of the shower, the room had such a strong MUSTY/MOLDY smell.. There was visible mold areas under the bathroom sink, visible black mold in shower. There was an unusable door in the bathroom, the windows were frosted over, but there was enough etched out of it in places where someone could see you through those windows, so we had to hang up a towel for the entire time. The window over the air conditioner would not shut all the way so there was about a half inch gap where it was open. The air conditioner filter looks like it has never been cleaned. Upon changing the sheets, the mattress cover clearly had stains from either someone’s accident or “activities”. Don’t be deceived by the kitchenette accommodation, it’s merely a tiny microwave and a mini fridge, I had to call maintenance because the freezer area of our mini fridge had clearly suffered from something that caused the inside of the plastic to warp, melt, and expose holes underneath. I was worried that it was a hazard, maintenance came right away and told me that they would have it replaced, it did not get replaced until a day or two later when I had to call the office & remind them. Door barely locks!!Will never book again

The property was very pretty and very close to the beach. The pools were pretty nice and not too crowded. The worst part of the experience was the cleanliness. Our kids' feet were literally black with dirt within 5 minutes after running around barefoot after showers.

The place was clean.

This is a really nice beach location. However, it appeared to have not been updated in years. My room had cracked tile and many patches in walls. The cleaning people came everyday to give new towels and make bed but didn’t sweep the floor. At $249/night expected more. FYI, no phone in the room, never found ice machine, restaurant does not have a bar area. Last thing, I had to enter a hallway to my room but the light was so dim it was like no light at all. Overall, it wasn’t a horrible stay but definitely not a 4 or above star hotel.

Second stay at this hotel. The staff are outstanding. Location is great - split uber from airport, walked to beach & food so didn't need to rent a car. Pool grounds are very nice. We were in a family suite this time, could use a little attention - unfinished tile under door, not enough hooks in bathroom for towels, tub/shower a little run down. Minor items given how great the staff and location are. We would definitely stay again.

The only thing i didn't like was the washer machine didnt work.

Our socks and feet were black. Floor was filthy and you could see all the water damage. Close to beach and restaurants but not worth the money we spent to be there. Very disappointed!

Staff took a phone charger. I checked out and came back an hour later realizing I left it. No one else had access to the room except possibly cleaning or front office staff. Charger was miraculously gone after 1 hour and not in lost-and-found items.

Do not recommend to stay here despite proximity to beach.

Very nice little property, check in easy and simple, friendly young man at the desk , very obliging . Room is plain, sparkling clean and all the extras you need, ex. Fridge, safe, microwave, coffee thingy shampoos, creams etc. litte courtyard with chairs, pool and hot tub. Nice restaurant right next door with inside, outside dining, great food, great service reasonably priced. Beach is literally one block away , with lawn chairs. Awesome bakery just down the street. We were here on a Saturday night, on bottom floor and it was very quiet. Would definitely stay here again if ever in Fort Lauderdale.

The room was like going back in time-more like a cheaper motel than a hotel-very basic. No chest of drawers to store clothes only a high wire shelf with a metal rod under it to hang clothes. I thought it very expensive for the quantity/condition of the room.

I liked having a pool right outside my room and having a patio with table and chairs to order snacks. Staff was helpful & kind. The rooms were clean n comfy. I will definitely come back again

I loved staying here but restaurant is not part of hotel. Not friendly and at one point rude.

Many old motels are given new life by new owners and become nice boutique accommodations. This is not one of them. This is a dive. The Hotel is really a Motel that is well past its prime and in need of a full renovation. The room pictures they present are of a very few select rooms that have been renovated, and yet are still very worn and falling apart. The stench of cleaning fluid in all 3 rooms I saw is overwhelming. The first room they gave me was dirty and beaten and so I switched to what was only slightly better. My co-worker was in a renovated room, which appeared nicer, but still was nowhere near alternative locations, such as Elita down the street. Even his room had bubbling lament on the furniture, an old shower and bath, and smelled of the cleaning fluid. The staff were very accommodating as they tried to switch my room to one of the renovated ones the following day, although by then I decided to leave and write off the entire expense. One made the comment that this was not a 5-star hotel, which was an understatement. It is clear the owners bought several old hotels and are extracting as much money from the Spring Break crowd as possible without putting much of anything back into the property. The one bright spot was the restaurant. While the food was basic, the staff were incredibly attentive. I just wish the staff could find a better place to work as this hotel is not it.

The beach And restaurants are an easy walk. Staff was nice, helpful and accommodating! However the resort can be better maintained.I had a 1bdr suite, room was not clean. Stains on doors to bdr & bathroom. Very dusty baseboards, and one of our kitchen chairs smelled like BO. Ptac in the living room gave off a moldy scent. If you stay here bring your Lysol wipes. Pools weren’t cleaned as often as they should. Gym is verrrryyy old & dusty!Best thing about the hotel was the staff. Bakery & market was nice too.

If I was a gal or not travelling with my brother on this trip, I might have a little concern about how well the door latched close (like 1/4" into the jamb). The deadbolt went in further. Kinda Pricy for the room, hopefully other rooms (Bathrooms) are in better shape. BUT....one block from the beach.

When carrying my suitcases upstairs. The bottom of my suitcase came open, but I did not know at the time. I unpacked and settled in and went back down to the pool. On my way down the stairs. A bag of souvenirs that I had purchased had fallen out and the bags was set upright on the steps and no one had taken it. A very safe place and very trustworthy employees.

Decent hotel! Loved the room size. However, the living room wasn’t cleaned prior to our arrival the couch was full of sand, items from prior guests were wedged between the couch arm and base cushions, and the floor was sandy. I’d stay there again assuming the cleanliness was an oversight.

Old school florida hotel. Very rough on the outside and grounds. The ropm however was large and comfortable as well as clean. I enjoyed the pools and the hot tub.

Rooms are large. Some areas of the room needed maintenance but for the amount of time spent in the room it was good. Nice grounds around, many pools to use. Having tables and chairs outside made it easy to eat there. Lounging chairs by the pool were great as well. Area is quiet just one block west of Fort Lauderdale Blvd.

Make sure you bring a beach towel because although they provide very small, thin pool towels, we only had them one day because the cleaning person took them from our room, and we could not get them the rest of the time (10 days) because they were out. The female associate was pretty rude to us explaining why they were out, so it's clearly an ongoing problem! Also, there were no fixtures to hang towels to dry and only 4 hangers in the room. I know it sounds tedious, but these are the little things that would've made a huge difference when trying to air dry, shower items, etc..

Great location, rooms are spacious, love the landscaping and the pools.

Overall the property was just okay. It needed some major updating. The room itself had very scuffed up floors, dirty bathroom floors, and extremely uncomfortable beds. However the location is perfect and the restaurant attached to the hotel has incredible food and ambience. Was a fine stay overall since we were not in the room much.

This was a fantastic property, located one block off the beach , the property had several food options , and multiple swimming pools for each area of the resort. Our room was great with a little kitchenette area to make coffee in the morning, and refrigerator to keep snacks and liquids. The staff were helpful and friendly. We got in late and they were very accommodating. Would highly recommend if this is in your budget. Great for the price point, well above what we expected.

- Common areas pleasant, clean, calm. - I'ts a series of hotels close by, you can use the common areas of the ones around (heated pool, gym) - Bedroom was clean (not the shower) - Services around (restaurants, beach, transport). - Location. The bad: - Shower area had old hair when we arrived; - Low water pressure was not joyful, but it's enough for a utilitary stay; - Noisy AC, but it didn't bother me much, I like white noise at night; - Daily cleaning service. We stayed for 4 nights and each day the cleaning was at a different time, sometimes very late. One day at 5 pm I had to ask the reception for them to clean and change towels. They don't clean the floors and the shower. Disappointing for the price. - Chronic lack of towels. The shower towels are old and small, they only give one set per person. I had to ask twice at the reception for an extra towel and they didn't always have it. Beach towels often not available, any time of the day (3 days in a roll). We went to look for it many times over the weekend. We paid for 5 nights in advance, our flight got canceled and we arrived one day later. They said they were about to cancel our reservation without notice even if we had let them know we'd be a day late Hot tub was awfuly hot, impossible to seat (and I love hot water). - Rundown washroom and shower, makes it unsanitary. Overview: - High cost for the service and cleaning - I'd go back if they improve it because location and common areas are great.
