Of course there will always be little things but for the price this place is exceptional. Economy hotels don't usually have a hot tub it and the pool we're very clean Not much water flowing in the shower lol. Coffee WAY too strong I mean syrup thick , could save money there.

We stayed here for our cruise. Shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and shuttle service from the hotel to then port. Perfect location! Everyone was nice and helpful And room was perfect

I got a suite here for a one night stay before a cruise. Property was ok, nothing special and a bit outdated. It seems they tried to update it but left some things, like the bathroom, unchanged. Also the AC unit in the room was so loud it was difficult to watch TV and/or sleep. Pillows were horrible. The price for one night, $200, also seemed very high for the quality of the property. Front desk attendant and bartender were very nice though. OK for a night but wouldn’t stay longer.

The room was expertly cleaned and disinfected. They did accommodate us earlier. Our door however was difficult to open. BUT THE WORST was upon checking in the front desk guy stated that there is free dinner and breakfast available. I tripple asked him about the free dinner because that's not typical, he said yes and also confirmed with my husband that it's from 5 to 11 pm. When I went down at 5 I was told no they have a restaurant on the premises to purchase food and drinks with 18% gratuity. Also they stopped breakfast at 10 instead of the quoted 11 AM time.

The gal at the front desk when I checked in late Thursday May 21st was an absolute doll. Very warm and welcoming. Probably the best check in experience ever. I’m so sad I didn’t get her name!

It was nearby the airport and close to other stores and restaurant things around. The bathroom was nasty, stain in the tub outdated the hotel you can see its has alot of wear & tear so im guessing they get alot of customers. it just looked un clean.

Great value for money, extremely comfortable room The food I had at the hotel restaurant very under par. I rarely complain but for a $20 salad, served in a plastic bowl with plastic silverware. It was like take out at an airport convenient store. For such a nice hotel, would expect a ‘normal’ dining experience (like, normal plates not plastic/paper)

Also, there machine was malfunctioning when we arrived, so they made us come back at checkout to add our credit card for incidentals. The staff was nice and the shuttle was super convenient. The bed was very comfortable. For those reasons, I wish I could have given this a better review.

Room was clean and nice for our 2 day stay. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but it was included. Parking... If you get there late or leave and come back late, you won't have parking! We stayed on a Wed & Thurs night, not even a weekend and it was ridiculous! We had to park at Wendy's. Not ideal.

Gaby from the front desk has been a superb support, I had some trouble with my family’s flight along with mine and she sincerely helped us through. Thank you! The room and the bed was comfortable too and was quiet as well. Location couldn’t be better and appreciate the hourly shuttle to the airport.

This caused us to miss an event that we paid money for because we were unable to take a shower until we finally got moved rooms about a hour later! Staff should never be on an occupants room while the occupants are out and gone! Then to make matters worse no one even called to let us know what was going on nor were we informed when coming back to the room! We had to find out by going to the room and attempting to take a shower!!

Since, no beach view, but close to. Breakfast was good, with the exeption that they should alternate, but is was good. The staff all around was very friendly, helpful and showing pride on their duty. The location close to the Airport was a great deal, plus so many covenience shops close by was great too. Parking, was a little bit dissapointed, but with luck we was able to find one

Ended up paying for parking, had to drive around 15 min in the parking lot before finding a spot. Went out to dinner and had to do the same. Went out to concert, came back 4 am, couldn't find a spot, went to the desk and they said to park where the mini buses were. Reluctantly I did since there was nothing else.

We had asked to check in early and they had told us yes it would be within an hour ! Three hours later at 3:00 pm we got our room ! I was disappointed in this we had made plans but cancelled them cause we were waiting on the hour time frame promised ! We saw tons of people check out cleaning staff was on duty you would have thought we could have gotten one room ready for us with two small children!

This was the worst hotel experience of my entire life. I didn’t like how I booked a stay at this hotel months ago. My flight was delayed due to weather I called multiple times and let the hotel staff know we were running late and they said that was fine and they would hold our room. When we arrived I was told there were no more rooms. After more debate with the staff the manager said “Oh Mr. Mullins we held your room” then she handed me a key and upon opening the door to the room there was another guest in the room. I will never stay with Marriott again.

The pool area looked run down nothing like the pictures. My room 434 bathroom fan didnt work, empty conditioner bottle on wall. Bathroom tub dirty looking as well as shower tiles with mold. The complimentary coffee, tea, ice water were empty and front desk 3 people not doing anything but chatting amongst each other and on cell phone. Only one working was the young man at bar who went and got me a hot cup of water and apologized.

Cleaning staff was polite and courteous When we arrived the front desk staff took our name and asked us to wait until our room was ready (20-30 minutes). Almost 2 hours later after we saw others who were coming in going straight to their room we inquired and the front desk had forgotten about us. We were not able to get a room near our friends and our friends room was not ready for them.

We got there at 1:30 not expecting them to have a room ready yet but there still wasn’t a room for an hour after check-in time. When we finally got a room… opened the door and there were people changing in the room. So we went back and they gave us a new room… which has a very dirty shower and tub. I’ve stayed at many Marriotts but this experience was disappointing.

Poorly run hotel. The elevator wasn't working for a few hours. There was no wifi the entire time we were there. I had to go to a restaurant for wifi so I could check in on our flight's app. Because I'm not from the US I can't use data or I'll be charged roaming fees. I had to ask someone this morning to look up my flight to check the status. The staff didn't seem to care.

When we arrived on March 9th, they were changing their system and couldn't properly assign a room. We arrived late, and seeing the delays, we went to have dinner at Wendy's, which is a block away. When we returned, it was even worse; there were many more people waiting. They gave us a room, we went there, and the key didn't work. To our surprise, we saw people on the other side of the door telling us not to enter. The room they had assigned us was occupied. We went back to reception, and finally, a security guard appeared with a master key. He used it for two things: to gain entry, since the programmed keys weren't working, and to check if the room was occupied by someone else. All of this meant we checked in very late, and the next day we continued on our way. Since we had reservations, we returned on the 17th. I emailed the hotel beforehand to ask for a faster service this time, but they were still slow...

STRANDED- Our party of a 9, including a 2yo and 10yo, were flying into town. Due to weather, our flight was delayed multiple times. Each time, at least one person in our party would notify this hotel to alert them of our delayed departure and new expected arrival. We verified the airport shuttle was still running after midnight. Just before takeoff we alerted the hotel we were in route. Since noon that day, we had been assured our shuttle and rooms were available. Upon finally arriving at 2:45am, and calling the hotel after retrieving our luggage, as was communicated verbally by hotel staff that evening, we were told what terminal to wait at for a ride, but they only had 1 room left. Thinking they surely misunderstood, that we already had reservations and had been confirmed available, we proceeded to the hotel. Upon arrival we learn not only is there not 1 room available, there are now 0 rooms available, when we had paid for 3 rooms months ago. We were advised by Marriott Corporate to go to a 2nd hotel, we paid for an Uber to get us there, Corporate said they would cover the cost of the room. We arrived at Renaissance Hotel, Fort Lauderdale, and were rudely told they do not have a room, but their other hotel 12 miles away has a room and to get an Uber and go there. At this point it is 3:45am. Our 10yo is finally asleep. We didn’t trust the Marriott system. The front staff at Ren. was so rude. We made it to our cruise with no sleep. I received only 1/2 refund at this point.

Bathtub/shower wasn’t great.Otherwise the room was good. AC unit was VERY LOUD. luckily I brought earplugs so I could sleep. Breakfast was normal. Breakfast staff was wonderful and friendly. Other guests were given my room key when I was already checked into my room (over 2 hours after check in time due to room not being ready). They were given the same room by desk staff. Then my room key didn’t work after that. Reported to desk. Shuttle was smooth process - but the driver was a bit wild with his driving and didn’t seem to know where to go at port of Miami for multiple terminal drop offs. Very nice and friendly through.

Spent the day traveling and checked in and ready for a hot shower. Not much pressure and the water was lukewarm. Too tired to call front desk and went to bed. Next morning, pressure was a bit better, but still luke warm water. Upon check out we only mentioned it to the front desk in passing, because I don't like complainers. She apologized and even said she would compensate us on our bill, which I was not expecting. Later in the day I get an email saying that they were going through a transition and hotel staff were still learning their way through and that they were sorry. Replied back saying not my problem, should have told us upon check in that they had issues. Not staying here again.

Arrived at1100 from my cruise and the front desk staff said they would call me when my room was ready. Hung out at the pool with the other guests waiting for rooms. Not enough chairs for everyone. Then it started raining and everyone was sitting in the lobby . It was after 3pm and people were checking in and I still hadn’t received a call about my room. The stay was not good at all. Toilet seat needed to be changed. The bathroom was not cleaned. Our bed looked slept in. Told the front desk, well the one person that was working and she told us she would be right over. If she came to our room red koolaid is not red!! Not referring this hotel at all.

The photo on hotels.com for this property shows a beautiful outdoor patio that looked beautiful and inviting with cushioned furniture, umbrellas, etc. so it was super disappointing to find that such patio does not exist there. A front desk employee told me he's worked there 3 yrs and they've not had a patio like that in that time frame. We were on the 4th floor and there was absolutely NO hot water for showers in the morning. Front desk staff were friendly.

The room was clean but the bathtub needed to be replaced as the enamel had worn down. The person at the desk said they are in the process of replacing the bathtubs. I will definitely stay at Fairfield again and recommend them to friends!

Overbooked event from the weekend caused delays from getting checked in, housekeeping did work overtime to get rooms turned over though. The minute we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly front desk staff member. It was a very busy in the evening and in the morning, but the staff handled things very well and everything moved very quickly and smoothly. The room was very clean. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. The breakfast area also was very clean and well maintained. The staff there was very friendly. It was very convenient to have free shuttle service from the airport. We stayed there the night before our cruise. It was great. I highly recommend it! We will be returning.

Waited 45 minutes for the airport shuttle. Almost gave up and took an Uber. Check in was awful. Check in time is 3:00. We arrived shortly after. We were told our room was not ready. The reason….the hotel was full the night before. Isn’t that the goal. For the hotel to be full every night? Just because the hotel was full should not be a reason housekeeping is not able to clean in time for the next round of guests arriving. We waited 2.5 hours for our room. We did not get our room key until 5:30. We completed some errands, ate dinner, etc. there were guests still waiting for rooms at 7:30 pm! Four and a half hours after check in time. Completely unacceptable. The front desk stated “we had no idea it was this busy when cruise ships were coming and going”. What???? This hotel is near the airport and the cruise port. Would not stay here again.

We returned to this Fairfield for Xmas this year after a nice stay last year. It once again lived up to expectations for service, cleanliness, breakfast. The location is near the airport. There is parking on site. Walkable food options are limited to Wendy’s and Dunkin’ Donuts, but that worked for us. The desk man at check-in and Tony(?) that rehooked up our tv were very nice.

Was given my key went into my room and there was a family in there already. The little boy started screaming. The grandfather came at the door kind of aggressively at me. I showed him my key that was just given to me and he said there’s must’ve been some kind of mixup so I went back to the desk and you could still hear the little boys crying very hard as we were walking away, he was very scared.

We had requested an early check in if possible and got confirmation from the hotel that we would be accommodated as soon as they cleaned the rooms. We arrived at 9 am and was told to be patient and we would be called. Others arrived after us and we were never called while others were given keys after a short wait. Checked with front desk 4 times and were told the rooms were still not ready. Finally checked the 5th time at 1:45 pm and got a room with the air-conditioning broken. It couldnt be adjusted or turned off so we were frozen. We would never stay here again. I went out to get something to eat at 6:30pm and there still people waiting to get their rooms.

I really loved the room. The only issue that I had with it, was, that, being that I have mobility issues, it was difficult to open the door when using my walker. Also,on my floor, by the elevator, it had sign that there were beverages and ice down the hallway, and the only place that you could find it was in the lobby.

This hotel was close to the airport and the lobby is nice. Our room appeared clean though there was a foul odor (possibly coming from the AC unit). The hot tub was in disrepair so we could not use it but the pool area was nice overall. I would recommend this hotel for those needing short stays who may have to catch early or late flights. I would recommend the hotel management spend more time training the front desk personnel to be more courteous and less “robotic”. The morning and night staff were both unwelcoming and monotonous in their service.

Check in was a disaster. We called the hotel and a staff member said early check in was fine. We got to the hotel and then waited from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for check in. Room guarantee was 3:00 p.m. We understood 3:00 p.m. Total mob scene. Front desk staff had a waiting list of people waiting to check in, but checked in walkins. Loud hotel, doors slamming all night, hydraulic tool noises late at night, and vacuuming the hallways late at night. The hot tub was broken and dirty. No towels at the pool. The breakfast food and area were fine. Our room was clean, spacious and in good repair. I would not recommend this hotel due to the chaos.

Had to call 5 times for a shuttle from airport and wait a long time for a ride. Then driver made 2 more stops after getting us which we didn't know about. Picked up more people than the van held so people were sitting on laps. Then when we got dropped off turns out he told people to get in that we're not even at one of the hotels the shuttle was for. Front desk made it seem like a big deal when I asked for 2 extra towels for the room.

Second stay in 2 weeks. We like it. A bit more expensive than some other hotels rated same on app but we stayed here before and liked it. Clean. Staff are welcoming. Not always super friendly, but i think that is because they are busy.

I have family in Miami and visit often. Fairfield would be my choice of stay when in Miami/Ft Lauderdale. This most recent visit was very unpleasant. The minute I entered the room, I was hit with a very horrible smell. It was as if the room was cleaned/mopped with a dirty mop or rag. I mentioned it to the front desk who took my info but no one ever came by nor was I ever given the courtesy to switch rooms. I tried contacting front desk to inquire about a room change, no answer. Tried visiting the front desk, no one present. I was only a guest for 2 nights and was not in the room except to sleep, however it was a struggle. Next visit (coming soon) will be elsewhere.

The property is accommodating, however there’s need for improvement. The pool for some reason is always out of service.( I have stayed here before) thankfully the hotel across let’s guests use theirs. This Particular visit I had issues with my rooms door lock, for some odd reason it kept deactivating which is of course it’s dangerous and a security concern on many levels. I am thankful for Denise, she was helpful. The staff was not very transparent, it felt like they were short staffed. I hope they work on these, because overall the facility is good, convenient and affordable.

I would stay here again. I had stayed on the day after a cruise and we were able to get early check in at noon. It would have been a 5 across the board but the pool area was having some kind of issue. We were allowed to use the pool at the hotel across the street since it had the same owners though.

I like that it was close to the airport. It was nice clean property. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was average but good for a quick bit before heading out. I would definitely stay again and I will recommend it.

Our room was infested with ants, all over the night stand and in the bathroom, This was one of the worst nights we encountered at a Marriott. We barely slept paranoid that something was crawling on us all night just to have to get up early the next morning for our cruise.

Check in was supposed to be at 3pm, our room wasn’t available until a around 3:15, meanwhile multiple families were being allowed to check in to regular rooms after 2:30pm. When we ask about this the reply was that there weren’t many suites available and ours wasn’t ready yet. It was frustrating to pay more money and be made to wait even past the check in time. When we finally got our key we were told they’d call our room later and they would “make things right” for making us wait. We were exhausted from traveling and stayed in our room the rest of the day and never received a call. To top it off the restroom was HORRIBLE. The shower looked moldy and it was wet. I would like to assume that it had just been cleaned. It had bad drainage and there was a puddle of old water just sitting in the tub. The handle to the shower was broken and barely hanging on. Unfortunately we were so exhausted and just glad to be in our room that we decided to not make a fuss about it. I would definitely never stay at this hotel again.

It was ok for a one night stay before a cruise. I don’t recommend it for a long vacation stay. The pool was out of service and our bathroom shower was not working. Baseboard literally came off. I think they tried remodeling but just left a few things not working properly. Customer service was not really helpful in solving an issue, but finally got management and she was able to figure it out. With so many hotel options, I would pick another hotel next time.

This time I called them 10 time for a pick from the port, no answer and the mailbox was full, My husband went around the port walking looking for the van, finally found the driver but no one still didn't answer the phone to let us know they was there.

We stayed here for two nights before our cruise. It was comfortable, accessible as it's close to the sea/airport. They have complimentary airport shuttle which is convenient, but you need to call the hotel once you are at the airport. Difficult for those who doesn't have access to phone calls internationally. I was trying to connect with them few days ago thru their contact details in expedia but it doesn't allow. Someone has to fix this issue between expedia and the hotel. Complimentary breakfast is fair enough. The room is huge but the washroom is a mess after shower as water would flow on the tiles where you step in making it a big risk for fall/slide. They should put a partition between the shower room and the toilet. I would re-think about staying in this hotel again.

Room was okay, beds were decent, pillows were amazing, shower had a constant drip not matter how much it was tightened and air conditioning on the lowest setting made it so it was 70° in the room. Our flight was at 6 AM the next morning. We were told no breakfast options were going to be available, that new coffee would not be ready until 7 AM and that the shuttle could only hold 10 people and it was first come first serve on the hour even though there were 25 of us in the lobby. Booking this hotel because it had free breakfast and a free shuttle turned out to be useless for us. I look forward to finding a new hotel for our cruise next month.

Jacuzzi COLD, then once we get to the pool we in it then they put up pool closed signs and tell us nothing so now I’m sure we got to go to the hospital, this used to be my favorite hotel idk what happened I ask the guy when will the jacuzzi be fixed he said he don’t know he ain’t even know it was broken. Insane wasted money coming here could’ve stayed home

The room stinks smells like the carpet is dirty and needs cleaning. The staff doesn’t speak English so it’s like talking to toddlers. The jacuzzi was broke for the first 2 days, the 3rd day it was filthy dirty and I wouldn’t get in it.

Beds were very uncomfortable. It took 3 hours to get our room. While we waited other parties came in and got their rooms within a half hour. Bathroom was a nightmare with water running all over the floor. Almost slipped several times. Rooms may have been remodeled but they painted over hair stuck on the wall. Flooring was not clean in sitting area and we had no remote for tv in that area. Called front desk and no one ever came to deliver us a remote. The pool area photos are deceiving as it clearly does not resemble the photos on the website and the pool was constantly cloudy and not clear. Very disappointed with this hotel.

I would not stay at this property again. My daughter and I stayed 3 nights to attend her college orientation. This hotel does not look as pictured. The pool was dirty with only 3 lounge chairs and next to a busy dirty highway. Rooms are not cleaned daily, just every other day. As a result, no one came on the second day and I had to talk to the front desk just to get new towels and garbage emptied. The worst part was after we had arrived back at the hotel around 3:30 on Friday after a long day, the lobby and bar area were overflowing with people who were using the hotel the night before the cruise. The crowd was loud, overwhelming and unmanageable. Breakfast the next morning was just as bad if not worse. This hotel cannot manage nor does it have space for the amount of people using it for pre/post cruise.
