SpringHill Suites by Marriott Florence

Location was good One reason we stayed here was because website advertised pool and spa. Spa was removed 2 years ago without updating itself. Pool was dirty and had slimy feeling on floor. All in all not what was expected of a Marriot Bonvoy chain hotel. Room insulation poor hearing door slamming all night. Broken bathtub, etc. Room setup was nice but rundown. Enough said.

My only complaint was that the sink was stopped up at the mini bar refrigerator area. The refrigerator wasn’t level so whenever I put water in it, it would tip forward. You can definitely tell that that hotel hasn’t been renovated in awhile. Unfortunately, I was roomed right next to the elevator in 411 in the elevator is extremely loud. The air conditioner was also loud, but it worked really really well to keep the room pulled off, which I was grateful for. Overall, it was a really good stay again. I’ve stayed there before and will continue to stay there.

The breakfast was amazing as well as the staff Big ups to Crystal at the front desk so very pleasant The tubs were very dirty and slippery which confirms the tubs are not being cleaned properly and the swimming pool was not open work is why I chose Spring Hill

A lot of the things that the hotel need to be updated such as the bathroom. There was a really strong bleach smell in both of the rooms that we had. This smell did not go away

The stay was ok overall. I booked a double bed but was told only kings were left when I arrived and was told that it was due going through Expedia. Then I was given a room key to an occupied room, which I found out after walking in on the guests. The staff did the best that they could and apologized.

Had a wonderful stay! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, especially at the front desk. Our room was immaculate, spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!"

My tub kept a puddle of water that never drained out. They gave me points for the inconvience we went through but that really shluld have beendone better and honestly i would never stay there again

This is the worst Marriott I’ve ever stayed in. The room was not clean and has a bad smell I think it’s coming from the carpet. Mold in the bathroom is very visible. Asked for another room, the front desk was very helpful she gave us another room but the condition of the room was the same from the first one it’s just the bad smell was less. The rooms needed an update and better housekeeping.

The hotel charged me for 2 nights when I only stayed one night and told them I was staying for only one night when I checked in. Floor in front of couch in guest room was wet. On check out, staff refused to share what my stay cost was (said they couldn’t because I booked through a 3rd party), and they didn’t disclose they were adding a $20 surcharge for amenities.

Facilities were nice, everything was clean and tidy. I appreciated the complimentary bottles of water at check in. Room was a little small but not too small. The lighting in the vanity area around the sink wasn’t very good or bright. An over head light option would be great in addition to the lighting around the mirror.

Room was clean, comfortable bed. Anywhere in the hotel smelled strongly of pool chemicals. Employees were unprofessional, I also paid for a King bed and got a queen.

The kids enjoyed themselves at the indoor pool,while I enjoyed a quick workout in the gym next to the pool.My only gripe is that,the sink by the bathroom had a slow drain.I loved the location of the property also,near the Mall and restaurants.I will definitely recommend this hotel.

Friday night staff was non-existent. One poor woman was left to take care of the entire hotel. Dirty sheets, broken shower head, running toilet, long lines- Horrible experience. The one woman at the desk did the best she could (not her fault), but extremely disappointed for the price and service. Would not return.

Place is run down. In need of general maintenance, deep cleaning and fresh paint. Hall carpets are stained, bathrooms have damage that needs replacing and repairing. Needs deep cleaning. I feel as though Marriott needs to do a site inspection. Very disappointed.

The check-in was quick, the lady at the front desk was very pleasant and answered all of our questions. Our refrigerator was not working when we checked in, however, when we left and returned. It had been corrected and was working fine. The staff got right on the issue. My vacation wasn't long enough. We were actually traveling for a funeral and not an actual vacation. The stay was very comfortable based on the reason for the visit.

The hotel did not have my reservation from booking.com. I provided the email reservation but they had to complete another request. They charged me $20 more than the rate I was quoted and said the additional $20 would be refunded in about 9 days. My card was charged $20 more and the next day I received another $20 pending charge. What kind of Mumgo jumbo is this? Now I have to watch my credit card to ensure I only pay $122.08 (and not $162.08)… This is very unsettling. The rest of the stay was great.

We arrived at 10 pm at night after driving since 9 am. The front desk attendance was very nice but immediately told us we must have made our reservations in the last hour or so (we had made it 4 hours earlier). We were informed that Expedia had "double-booked" our room and there was no room available for us, and that there were no rooms available in any hotel in the whole area, but that we could try driving 45 minutes south and we might find something. We were too tired to drive further so I imagined sleeping in the car in the parking lot! When I searched online there was one hotel with rooms available in Florence, so we stayed there for the night, even though rooms were $100 more expensive.

Stayed 3 nights, the swimming pool water was very cold. When I made reservations I was told by and employee at this hotel the pool was warm and open for swimming. It was not warm at all. They were short on towels and wash cloths. Was very hard to get them daily. Will not stay here again

I booked with Expedia a month ahead of time and because the hotel overbooked, they cancelled my reservation and lied to me, saying Expedia cancelled it. The manager on duty 4/4/26 about 6pm also lied to me and then would not come back out to speak with me after I talked to Expedia. A nightmare for my grandkids Spring Break vacation

This was our first time ever staying at Springhill Suites. This hotel was very nice, clean and friendly. The staff greeted us before we arrived to the desk. The rooms were clean and fresh. Although, our reason for our visit to Florence was to attend my mother-n-law funeral. It was nice to have a good night rest. The breakfast was very good. We will be booking with Springhill Suites again. Great customer services.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very dated and felt unclean. The walls were worn and looked dirty. The vent in the bathroom was caked with dirt. I appreciate the separate room area off the bedroom but this made watching tv from the beds impossible.

No issues with parking. Very easy with parking and availability. Security was present in the parking lot so I felt secured. Room cleanliness was spot on and the AC had no issues. Very good hotel to stay.

We’ve stayed here several times in the heat 3 years. This least stay the breakfast was disappointing. Grey pork sausage and runny eggs were the hot bar foods. I usually look forward to the hot foods because my gluten and corn allergies rule most other items. The hot oatmeal and toppings were very good.

The room was okay, the bed was very comfortable but that trundle bed/sofa was not at all comfortable for sitting.

My daughter's room was not cleaned. There were wine bottles, trash, dirty towels and bed linens in the room. When staff was alerted to this, they just walked right in without knocking while my daughter and her teammates were changing into their softball uniforms.

Room furniture and bedding were old and untidy.

This hotel needs to be updated. It’s old. The locks on the doors didn’t work The bed was very uncomfortable and there was a strange odor throw out. The breakfast was not ready until later around 7:30.

The room was surprisingly very spacious. My family of 4 (2 adults, 10yr old & 1yr old) stayed in a king room with sofa bed. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast staff stood out the most. We are not morning people and each day just made it down to breakfast with 10-15 minutes to spare. They went out of their way to restock or replenish anything that was missing. We are also picky eaters but they had something for everyone. From the waffle station with 2 varieties, muffins, bagels, toast, homemade grits, oatmeal and yogurt with an extensive topping bar (cinnamon, granola, walnuts, almonds, raisins, cranberries and more), hot sausage (turkey one day and pork the other) and egg sandwiches. I do not eat pork so any hotel that serves turkey products for breakfast is a win for me! The only disappointment was the indoor pool was closed. This was the primary reason I picked the hotel over others to give the kids something to do in the hotel.

There was a cockroach smashed on the floor, where the food was. Also, everything felt like it wasn’t clean when we got there. I made mention to the desk, but it was so late at night. It was only one person.

The lady at the front desk was nice and pleasant. The room she initially put me in was not cleaned properly. Bed was not made up, stains were all over the couch, hairs was on the sheets and pillows. Also the bathroom floor was sticky and there was a dead roach on the floor so clearly floor had not been vacuumed.

Stayed at SpringHill Suites by Marriott recently. The hotel was under renovation, so the lobby was boarded up, which wasn’t ideal. But the room was super clean and comfy, and breakfast was actually pretty good. The area has tons of restaurants, so that was a big plus. Overall, a solid stay despite the construction!

I was there for my church conference. From setting up my stay to letting me leave late by couple of hours, the staff was great. Ms. Mahogany, Julia, Krystal, Crystal and one person on late night front desk duty were all so awesome. My brother had to stay in the room while i was there, but he was comfortable the whole time. The shower was great and easy for him to use. I can't say enough about everyone. I am truly for grateful to your whole staff. Thank you for everything. See you sooner than later.

My family and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean, staff is wonderful.

However, there was a strange smell in the room that reminded me of the pillow section at Ross Stores. Also, rusty, loose screws in the bathtub fold-down chair. I didn't need the seat, so I informed front desk at check out.

We were honestly disappointed with our stay here. It seemed very run down and old which is surprising for a Marriot hotel. Our room had very low water pressure and no hot water as well. We would not stay here again.

Love this property...easy friendly check in...workers are very polite always willing to help...definitely my go to when I'm in the area!

It was very confortable. Easy access on and off I 95. Many eateries to choose from. Employees very helpful.

Front of motel entrance was being remodeled and we needed to use rear doors. It was difficult because of our age and handicap. I suggested a discount or support with our belongings. Nothing was offered. Also, during our two night stay we never had our room cleaned. We never saw anyone to replace towels or straighten the room. We will not be using your facility again.

We only stayed overnight so I can say check in even late was quick and easy. The room seemed clean and comfortable. The free breakfast could have had better options but it was free so no big deal. Thank you to housekeeping for providing a clean space to sleep on our trip home.

The room had an unusual layout making the sleeping area small and without adequate space to open luggage or to sit on a chair. The bathroom was small with the toilet parallel to the shower. Several maintenance items needed

They asked me at check-in if I wanted my room cleaned and I answered yes. They only came once during the stay, removed all the towels and emptied the trash with nothing else except changing my room thermostat.

Do not stay here. Was given a room where the bathroom ceiling was being worked on and there was drywall in the tub. Shower head was disgusting. Toilet was broken. Air vent was loose and no air flow.

Awesome stay. Hot water for showering or shaving Luke warm at best. Take a shower, you stayed very cold and got out quick. Stayed this way our entire trip.

Room is neat and clean, bed is super comfy, staff is friendly and helpful. Just the shower faucet appears to leaking to the carpet causing the carpet wet. We notified front desk staff and they took it seriously. Overall it’s a quality hotel, just requires some small maintenance.

STAY AWAY! The room was filthy with blood stains on the carpet all over. The rooms are in the 50's era. It requires a whole new renovation. It's HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

Rooms had odor that won't go away even with me spraying with lysol daily. had two room and they both had the smell of unclean carpet-- which the carpet do need a good cleaning. The bathtub had a rust like stain that's not removable with me scrubbing it--need new stubs or just a plain shower only.

Would not stay here. Management in transition. Lost our reservation, couldn't make-up. Employee trying, but didn't even know the hotel phone number. Heard other guests making complaints while waited 45 minutes for them to not help us. Would NOT recommend staying here, plenty of other hotels in the area. Clearly this place is not ready for guests and so much turnover in management and help, makes it even worse.

It's not the best hotel I've stayed at in Florence. There's not anything super special about the hotel. The staff was good (overall) and it's in a good location.. I'd stay again.

The bathtub has pink stains all over it, around the toilet was dirty, the room itself was nice the air conditioner was great!!! The breakfast was horrible!!!!!

Room ok, halls and elevators dirty

We had vwry comfortable beds but the carpeting was old and muaty smelling. The hotel was a little outdated. Cleaning carts were left in the hallways just about every day and stayed there for most od the day. I was very surprised this hotel was not top notch.

We stopped here to take a break half way to Florida and it was so easy to get of 95 get everyone up and going again and hit the road.

This property could use a minor update to the grounds and elevator. However, my room was clean, and the staff on-site was a joy to talk to.

Room was for 3 people but sofa bed not made up, didn’t want to wait at reception again to ask for assistance so we used the sheets from the closet & made a bed up. Breakfast was good, egg&cheese muffins, sausages, scrambled egg nice options in addition to usual continental choices.

The front desk clerk was lovely but completely over her head with no help as hoards of families tried to check in. We waited 30 minutes for our room, and when we got there, the fridge didn’t work.

Someone kept going out into the fire exit to smoke cigs. Made the whole floor smell

However, the hotel itself was dirty and there was trash in the elevators and in the hallway. There was a piece of trash in front of the room next to mine all three nights I was there. Also, a big pile of dirty laundry was left in the hall overnight. The hotel definitely needs an upgrade and better taken care of. I know they have a vacuum because I saw them using it in the breakfast area.
