Right off of I-95, with many restaurants to choose from. For my needs, it was someplace to grab some sleep on a long trip. It’s a budget hotel, so my expectations were basically met. The bed was clean and the internet worked.

The hotel’s proximity to the highway The room was disgustingly filthy, there were bugs. Everywhere, fridge was broken, air-conditioning unit with pathetic! This hotel is “Highway robbery“, no pun intended. I filed a formal complaint with Choice Hotels, which was Julie documented. They asked me to contact the senior person at the hotel and gave me the name and number. I called and left a message, then made about four follow up calls to see whether he had gotten my message. They confirmed the message was passed on, but he never returned the call. I then checked the reviews and realized I should’ve done so before. Many reviews indicating exactly what I describe above and the hotel always had the standard, silly response thanking people for the feedback and telling them how my feedback would be used to improve the facilities. Stop saying nonsense and just do it.

Microwave was disgusting and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Batteries missing from tv remote. Refrigerator was broke. No hair dryer. No iron. The walls inside and outside was disgusting.

The key cards didn't work first off. They changed our room, and the key still did not work. The manager got us in the room but never brought back a working key. The room was not clean. The bathtub was stopped up so it barely drained. There were unhappy people everywhere because their rooms were just as bad. Nothing good about this place...

The price was reasonable That the toilet wasn’t clean, the floor was dirty and had hair on different areas of the floors, in the tub, the tub was dirty inside of it and on the side of it.. counter by the sink was dirty… the refrigerator was dirty!!! This was my second stay here… when I came for the first stay every thing was excellent but this time wasn’t great at all… had trouble with getting into my room went to the office twice to get access to get in the room!! Brown water came out the shower head when starting the shower as well!!

I am disabled so I got a first floor room. The keys would not work after going to the office twice to have them rest. Therefore I had to go to an upstairs room. After climbing the steps I almost fell at the top. Then once in the room found hair in the tub so I could not shower. As well as the blood stains on the bathroom counter. There were two microwaves on broken on the floor and the other with food in it. Then at breakfast time couldn't get a hot beverage because the cups were plastic and would melt. Not to mention the female on drugs that my grandchildren had to see. I feel I should be compensated in some way if not totally refunded.

The bedroom door didn't close as it should. The smell was not good, despite showing the room as if there was breakfast they didn't have.

Key didn't work had to go get it redone all the time then they put me in another room and tv wasn't work and told them they brang a new tv and still didn't work 2 days without,they didn't care i will never stay there again.

The only thing I liked was the fact that I found an available room during race weekend. No lamp in room, no coffee maker, no washcloths, ice machine was filthy, shower curtain needed replaced, tub didn’t drain properly. The ethnic group who owns the majority of Choice Hotels really don’t care about their properties, only the money they make.

I didn’t like the fact that room service didn’t clean the room before I arrived, then there was bugs in the room too. Bad service from the staff because I was unable to stay in the room because of the unclean area but I wasn’t able to get any type of refund due to the room being dirty!

The location of the hotel. The friendliness of some of the front desk staff Couch and rolling chair are extremely dirty and need to be cleaned or replaced. The room phone was busted... had missing buttons and wasn't working. Next door guests were very loud throughout the entire first night of my stay. Didn't get any sleep. Couldn't report them to the front desk staff because of the phone situation. Air quality in room made it very uncomfortable throughout the night. Air never got cold....just barely below warm. Need to remodel or replace bathtub too

I called front desk and he refused to move me when I told him I can’t use fridge or watch tv said they are not allowed to move, me being alone and in the 3rd building in back I said okay don’t mind the fridge but can you come fix the tv he told me no So at this point I’m aggravated and asked him to move me he said no more available rooms I said well I need to be moved he said he have to call his manager I was placed on hold the manger agreed to move me and the fridges didn’t work in the rooms he took me to then said to me it’ll be. An additional $50 I told him I’m not paying that !!!! This is an inconvenience to me!! The fourth room was okay only problem was the heat barely worked and. No microwave told him about it and he refused to help me anymore!!! It was my birthday everywhere else was booked or didn’t allow locals I stayed at econolodge and I literally cried for hours!!! Horrible experience ever and just ruined the ending of my birthday I’ll never go back there !!! I would really want a refund !! And ofc I have pictures and videos!

The hotel was filled with what appeared to be drug addicts and prostitutes. The staff was rude and not helpful at all. You would be much better off sleeping in a cardboard box in an overpass on route 95. The room was filthy, the bathroom had burn marks, a broken towel rack and exposed plumbing. Spend the extra $20 and stay anywhere else

If it were possible, I would give this property a negative rating. When we first checked in the first thing I noticed were cigarette burns on the sheets and on the quilts. Plus there were cockroaches everywhere. It was late when we checked in, so we just went to bed. Before doing so we turned on the AC on the coldest setting. Needless to say, an hour later we were both laying there with sweat pouring out of our body. It was probably at least 82° I called the front desk and they lied to me when they said there were no other rooms available, the third building in the complex was completely empty. I then requested a new room the next morning. They assured me I would have it when I got back to the motel that afternoon. When I got back that afternoon, they give me the keys to a new room. When I went to the new room it was one king bed instead of two queens. I went back to the front desk and said I needed a room with two beds. It was another 2 hours before we people are able to get into a two-bedroom. Upon going to that room I decided to take a shower. When I turned on the shower I accidentally touched the metal behind the handle and was hit with an electrical shock. At this point I was extremely upset. When we checked out the next morning I was accosted by two meth heads in the parking lot asking me for money. They were all over the parking lots. I've run out of room to explain how bad an exprience it was. Never again will I stay at an Econolodge. Give me my money back.

This was one of the cheaper hotels... but when I entered the hallway to our room, the carpets were stained and it smelled so bad. When we got into our room, there were more stains on the carpet, the chairs, AND the bed covers. There were cigarettes holes burned into the covers as well. The cabinets were broken and chipped. The bathroom was gross. The shower drain was black and there was a huge brown recluse spider (so we think) in the sink.

Desk clerk was very nice and friendly. The room on the other hand, owner should be ashamed! Building should be condemned! Was only in the room 2.5 seconds and even that was to long!!

i always supported small chain businesses but i suggested for future travelers stay away from this one. I traveled with my family, when we arrive late evening from NYC one shirtless guy walking in the lot, then a car pullover with a few guys then they started drinking beers. then started playing loud music until 2am. place is worn down .I'm sorry but never again just booked somewhere else. staff is nice

Owner/manager and receptionist very unprofessional. Housekeeping knew more details of the property than owner. Check in stated 2pm, room was still not available at 4pm. Extremely rude and unprofessional, resolution was to cancel the stay, meanwhile he did not cancel and still proceeded to attempt to find a “clean” hotel room. Gave benefit of doubt and went to room provided. The room was disgusting, mold in the room, cigarette holes in blankets. I wouldn’t allow my dog to put his paws on the carpet.

Nothing to like here. Lobby had heavy marijuana stench, the room smelled like four German shepherds were in there before me. When I complained I was shipped to a smoking room where you could almost see the smoke. The manager was otherwise very polite and professional. He was the only positive experience, the property is a dump.

Ok... its in a rough part of town. And on the outside. It looks kind of sketchy. Hallways are dirty. Youre gonna think (what the hell?) But once you get to your room. Its clean. And quiet. I personally had no issues. (I stayed there for a week) And if i was going to Florence on a budget. I would recommend. As long as you are able to not judge a book by its cover.

Reserved a no smoking room but when I checked in the room stunk of smoke. I went back and asked for a different room....which also smelled of cigarette smoke. The desk clerk apologized and refunded my reservation. I opted to drive through the night rather than hunt around Florence for a clean room.

Ok so first we were check in into a room that was dirty furniture all over the place we go back to front desk and the guy gave us a new room that was ready he apologized to us because he wasn’t there when someone assisted the room for us then The second room had a very strong odor like wet mildew we couldn’t sleep at all there was someone breaking car windows at 3am alarms from the cars were going off. They need better things to remove the odor front m those rooms and also better security.

The staff was wonderful. Check in was easy. We stayed two different nights. The air conditioner in the first room that we had was noisy. Our second room was perfect.

This is our worst stay here the conditions of this hotel is not healthy the rooms smells trouble really bad and all the hotels are booked in the area .. Expedia should check the conditions of the hotel/motels they promote this has been a disaster trip.. I will never book again

This is our worst stay here the conditions of this hotel is not healthy the rooms smells trouble really bad and all the hotels are booked in the area .. Expedia should check the conditions of the hotel/motels they promote this has been a disaster trip.. I will never book again

Room smelled horrible! Insects all over the floor. Multiple cigarette burns on the bathtub. Floors nasty and dirty. Makeup smeared on the carpet.smoke detector battery hanging out of battery box. Was a very uncomfortable stay. Was not worth the money and by far the worst motel experience ever.

A run down building that looks terrible outside. But, not a big deal. Front desk was friendly but didn't even know where our room was. Finally found our room after riding around the building. So dark we could not even see the numbers on the door. We used the key and got in. Hit by a disgusting smell that I can't even describe. We didn't even set our bags down. Absolutely horrific. Very dated and just nasty. Looked like we were in a 3rd world country. We turned around and got back in our car and left. Didn't even stop by the front desk as I knew would would not get our money back. Whoever rated this an 8 out of 10, is a liar or insane. Beware and find somewhere else to go in Florence or up around Bucees. Worst hotel experience ever.

After checking in we left. The room was so inhabitable that my wife couldn’t breathe due to the unclean carpet and dirty furnitures. It was disgusting!

First off, as soon as you walk into the front desk area you get hit with a very strong smell of Marijuana. Then we walked into our room which was absolutely filthy. Stains everywhere. Paper thin pillows. Air conditioner made a noise all night like someone dropped pennies in the fan blades. Will never stay here again!!!!

When we tried to check in, they gave us a room that already had a family in it, WITH A DOG. They said we would get a refund? I still haven't seen it yet

Don't know where to start! The room had no chair other than a straight back, dinning type, chair, no table to use for note writing or to place a drink. No phone, the linens were not fresh, I used the bathroom towels to sleep on, the tub had horrible red stains,no idea what they were.the door although equipped with a lock had a quarter inch crack around it, I really didn't feel secure. There were above a dozen ladies of the evening patrolling the campus all evening. There was no coffee a available in the morning, had to drive off campus for that. All in all a miserable stay.

The most disgusting place ever. Video of roaches scattering in the bathroom, sink not even attached to the counter, smoke detector on the TV stand, coffee still in the pot, don't know the last time they vacuumed, stains dripping down the walls and doors. I left and slept in my car at a truck stop!

Stay was ok but the hotel never received my reservation. At least that what they claimed. I contacted Hotels.com on virtual chat and explained the problem and they contacted the hotel by phone. The clerk told me that hotels.com would refund my purchase and I then had to pay out-of-pocket for the room.

The room could use some sprucing up, needs new paint. Our room key didn't work and we had to get a new room key and the attendant was rude and looked agitated when we asked for a new key

Saw roaches in room/bathroom. Not cool. Beds were clean and bathtub clean.

I stayed 3 nights it was a average room was fairly clean comfortably beds great a/c showers are kinda small

The Staff was Great

We had to buy pillows. There were burn marks along the tub. One light couldn't be plugged in because plug didn't reach outlet.The fridge was so small and no freezer. The microwave was very old. We kept getting locked out of our room and the lock was supposed to be fixed. No breakfast but advertised online and in lobby. Definitely not up to Choice hotel standards.

The rooms smelled musty since the AC was off and the bath tub had rusty spots everywhere. Other than that the behind the counter guy was very helpful and nice.

Place is so so filthy. Broken mirror, busted half hanging off bathroom door. Holes all over walls. Coat rack hanging off wall. ECT ECT ECT. Tried sending photos.

The sheets wasn't clean

I've stayed at this location many times and have been pleased with what I got for the price, but this last time the carpet was dirty, and the tub was awful it was stained and just dirty, the linens seemed clean, and the door locked so for the money I guess it was okay.

When I checked in the front desk staff room was super nice. I verified that I was a first floor room that was handicap accessible. He confirmed that for me. That was not the case, our room was nowhere near a handicap ramp or parking spot and the room was not accessible. My daughter could not even get into the door of the bathroom in her wheelchair. Very disappointing but as it was after 9pm we just dealt with it. Light fixture in room had rust all over the base and the tv had no signal so we couldn’t watch tv. The tub was gross and they had a slimy mat laid down in the bottom of it.

When I first checked in I was sent to a room that was already occupied, man at the front desk was very upset over it cause I was the 3rd or fourth person it had happened to that night due to someone else not doing what they was suppose to. On my second day there I had housekeeping keep knocking on my door after I had already told them they wasn’t needed I finally had to tell him to go away. Room wasn’t clean like it should have been this is the second time I have had issues here.
