It was close to where we needed to be the next day Elevator was malfunctioning- doors would open again before operation, stopped on floors that wasn’t needed, didn’t work twice and had to take the steps. Room was clean for the most part but half the room didn’t have lighting or power, the mirror was shattered, refrigerator looked like it had been left out in a hail storm, rips in the curtains, back of the toilet was busted, shower curtain rod was just hanging on and couldn’t close, beds sounded like slamming 2 trash can lids together every time you moved.

Location was good. Women at desk were courteous and helpful. Dirty carpeting in hallway, first room given to us was smoky. We got a different room with a stained bedspread with cigarette holes and the shower door track was moldy. AC barely worked.

Property was dirty and heavy smoke smell. Asked for second room after first room smelled heavily of smoke. Second room stunk too with smell coming from hallway. Multiple police calls within first 30 minutes. Dirty floors and rooms (I viewed 2). I gave up and booked another hotel. I do not recommend unless you smoke.

We enjoyed our stay , look forward to coming to returning back for another stay.

There is a restaurant at the side of the hotel if you stay on weekends you will hear the music loudly. It was ok for what I needed but could improve some things.

There was no breakfast lol It is a hotel for locals. Felt like there was some drug activity going on. I could smell marijuana in the hallway. Did not feel safe. Paid for 3 nights but only stayed 1.

It was ok. There were ladybugs in my room in several places. Not just 1 or 2 but several in almost every corner of the room and all around the window. Other than that, it was fairly clean.

It was horrible. You had undesirable people hanging around the front door with backpacks. People arguing in the hallways at night and early in the morning. The hallways smelled of cigarettes. There was no breakfast but 1 apple in a basket and 1 piece of bread in a display case. This was very nasty and I had to change rooms for the disturbance in the hallways.

The beds were very comfortable and staff very friendly. The price was right and we'd stay there again. It's close to everything. Ruby Tuesday right down the street. It was perfect for our golf outing and close to several golf courses.

Room smelled like an ashtray, water wouldn't get hot, both beds were dirty looked like tobacco or something was left in the beds and the sheets were made up over it. There were roaches in the room

The room not so much. The couch is dirty with crumbs, the flat bed sheet has stains, there was a roach that ran out of our room and we had to kill another baby one inside. The floor is sticky and the air is not very cold. Contemplating going to another hotel.

Room had a meth pipe under the bed, room was flooded and it took 2 hours to get it cleaned up. When cleaned up a dirty mop was used. Roaches on wall. Music from bar loud, wrong tv remote. Phone had no wires to it to be plugged in. Elevator smelled.

The property should be condemned with the overwhelming cigarette and Marijuana smoke. The breakfast unless you consider cereal is breakfast is a scam

There were people loitering around outside (it was after 1am) when we checked in. The smell of marijuana permeated most of the place (thankfully not in our room). The room was extremely hot when we got in it. The bed linens had burn marks on them, though they did appear clean. There wasn’t enough toilet paper (we ran out quickly). When we went to take showers in the morning, the shower didn’t turn on.

My recent experiences have been terrible ans uncomfortable. From the rude staff to the toilet flooding and sinks horrible smell. The ceiling was leaking in one room and the next room i was placed in the TV didnt work.

The lobby appeared clean, but smelled bad, the hallways were disgustingly, dirty, and smelled horrible, our room smelled very bad and was not clean in several areas. The door did not lock, the toilet was broken could not flush, there's no water in pool, and for breakfast they only have toasts and bagels

It was convenient to Fort Bragg There is no pool it is empty. They do not clean the room if you are not there. You have to put your dirty towels out at the door to get new ones and a new trash bag. There is not warm breakfast only toast and some cereal.

My room had little to no internet or cellular reception, there was black mold around the bathroom light, the tv speaker was blown out and half the plugs didn't work. Also, I left a room key for my work associate at the desk and the staff said he was lying about his identity and told him off. Awful experience all around. Would not recommend.

Very loud and people coming and going all the time. Place smelled very bad . Bed was like sleeping on a brick. Only stayed the first night because I had no choice. Checked out in the morning. Refund for second night. This hotel should be listed as an extended stay hotel.

I was not aware that the red roof were like at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to using them for reservations and I see why. The room had roaches and bed bugs. I noticed this when I attempted to shower and so much dirt was stuck to the bottom of my feet. I reserved two nights but, I only stayed one. I had to leave because of a family emergency unfortunately or maybe fortunately. Either way, because I reserved and paid on this website, I can't get a refund for my reservation. The staff member I talked to tried to help me but couldn't because of this site. I think I'm just going to call the hotel directly for now on.

Water was everywhere and I had to hurry and run downstairs to tell the service!!! To tell the front desk. And I also ask the Manger for a refund!! He told me NO! Refund We can get you a different room so I just checked out. very unacceptable!!

It’s not a bad place just need to be upgraded and treated with some tender love and care along with some employees who knows what CLEAN looks like …😉

the place was clean but there was nothing to it. they kept running out of towels and wanted to charge a fee to exchange for clean towels. people always coming and going. did not feel safe. front desk staff was temperamental and acted like i was being conniving when all i wanted to do was check in. I had to call booking and she was even short tempered with them.

I am writing to express my utter disappointment and frustration following my recent two-night stay at your establishment. My experience can only be described as appalling, and I am compelled to request a full refund. Upon entering the room, I was immediately struck by a nauseating stench of mold and mildew. It was so overpowering that I had difficulty breathing and felt an instant headache coming on. No amount of air freshener or attempts to air out the room helped diminish the unpleasant odor. The nightmare continued as I encountered pests scurrying across the floor. It was horrifying to see such poor maintenance and lack of cleanliness. Not only was this unsanitary, but it also made for an uncomfortable environment where I hardly felt safe or relaxed. To make matters worse, the noise from other guests was unbearable. It felt like being smack dab in the middle of a fraternity house. Loud music, shouting, and disturbances persisted well into the early hours of the morning. Despite my calls to the front desk, the staff's response was lacking, and no efforts were made to ensure peace and quiet. In all honesty, I have never regretted a booking more. This stay fell critically short of even the basic standards I expected and disrupted what should have been a restful visit. Given these severe issues, I believe a full refund is not just warranted but essential to compensate for this dreadful experience. I hope you will address these problems

The clerk with the bad attitude had to come and reset it, but if you turned off the tv it would reset back to showroom display. Therefore the tv had to remain on, but it would automatically shut itself down after a couple of hours. The night clerk refused to give me the correct remote to reset the tv after I told her that was the remote clerk used earlier to reset the tv. She gave me a remote that only worked on the TV at the front desk. She was unwilling to help solve the problem because she was too busy chatting on her phone. The bedspread had cigarette burns in it. Check in was great but when i got to my room i went to sit in the desk chair and almost went on floor backwards. Very noisy in hall and other rooms. When i left the next morning the hall smelled like pot weed very very strong. Strange people out in the parking lot all night.

From 11:00pm til 3:30am sounded like druggies and hookers. We kept our guns by the bed and got little sleep. It was scary. I guess that’s what you get for paying the lowest price. It was not a good experience at all. I felt like they needed an armed security guard on every floor

Walls are paper thin. The shower head was a hand wand that didn’t even have something to hang it on. Had a portable stool in the shower with wobbly legs. No shampoo, just a small package of hand soap. Other guests were up at all hours and noisy. The clerk were polite and eager to help but that didn’t offset the negatives.

This hotel would do well to move to a new location. It was a terrible experience. The staff was really amazing. I would give that guy a job any day. It's not his fault they are located next to a night club.

The room we got was dirty, cockroaches everywhere.. It had a broken bathroom door that didnt close. after complaining about the broken bathroom door we were moved to another room that was cleaner (no cockroaches were seen) but a junky was in there.. The hotel front man asked him to leave and we ended up staying in this room for the night. horrible experience dont go..

Like the pencil next to the trash can in the bathroom under the sink and the freezer so frozen it was stuck and when I did get it open ice and frost went on the floor. The refrigerator only had a bin to store items, shelf was missing so not much room, the microwave was puahed back and still had time on it. Also the hot room the AC was off and it's May in NC. When I took the cover off the bed the blanket below had cigarette burn marks. The chair at the desk didn't look right, there was a plunger next to the toilet and things didnt seem clean enough. I was so tired I didn't care. The next day we went to the skilled nursing home my family member was in so we only got back at 6pm-ish. Ate and went to bed. I got up at 4am and had to poop. After I was done I flushed and the toilet overflowed. I plunged and got it kind of down enough but I only had 1 dirty towel and 1 hand towel to use, so I called the front desk. I told them what was going on and I was told they would get me some towels to clean it up myself, because they could leave the desk because they were by themselves and was no available room to move us to. This is by far the worst hotel/hostel experience I have ever had. My friend and I stayed on a Friday night, we woke up at 3am to some random man who wasn’t even a guest in the hotel, BANGING on our door. We never opened the door for him, but for a solid two minutes, he’d randomly start banging on the door. Eventually, when we thought he had left, we decided to get up. The second we turned on a light, the banging began again. He banged on our door this time for a solid 5 minutes. I called the front desk and a staff member came to check it out. She said he had been escorted out of the building and it was fine a as though this is the standard of safety. We left anyway, had an 8 hour drive ahead of us and barely 5 hours of sleep. This “hotel” serves more as a place for the sketchiest people on the planet to live time to time. There was a pregnant woman smoking right outside while holding a baby. This place was terrible. It was filthy and run down. It smelled and there were people who weren’t even guests at the hotel hanging out. No

The room was okay but it is in a rough area where lot’s of homeless people are hanging around, the hotel smells awful! They had fans going and trying to keep it clean and get the smell out but it needs updating! There was no water in the pool either.

The hotel is not what was represented online. Junkies all over. A guy with a gun in his pants at the foyer. Bugs everywhere. Bedding had cigarrette holes, mold and bed bugs. Worst hotel i have experienced in 50 years of travelling.

I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the bathroom. I had to clean the bathroom myself due to housekeeping not being on duty at the time. I went to the front desk and she gave me cleaning supplies. My toilet had pee all over and under the seat and I had hair on my towels.

check in was good; the lady at the counter was nice. but the room had an endless parade of bugs from the moment we arrived til the moment we left. we also had to deactivate the key everytime we came back- which was so stupid because we were staying for 4 days, 3 nights. What a hassle. And the management?? or whoever they were (not the staff who checked us in or worked the front desk but some older man and woman that were talking with them) were rude af. This place is filled with roaches. We immediately did an about face! Could not sleep there. The pictures are a SCAM! Again… trust me. I never write reviews but I had to make sure I did so no one else got scammed like I did.

My stay was ok, no hurt, harm, nor danger came against my husband and I. I just hand 2 issues that made may stay disgusting. When i went to put my late night snack (cookies) in the microwave for a little heat, it was so nasty until I was gaging. The next morning as we where about to leave, there was a roach in the bathroom. I smashed it with a box( i thought), when i came back it was running away. I spoke with the manager as we turn in our keys and told him about my experience and showed him proof on my phone..The only thing he did was take a picture of my picture of the microwave on my phone. Then he started back talking on his phone. No apologies to us or nothing🙁

The room was clean, the bathroom also clean but seem dated hence some areas required attention. There was music blaring all night long that made it. A horrible night to sleep. There were people in the stairway smoking and when I stepped out to gather sometime from my vehicle there was a resident hanging outside the window smoking. We turned in our keys the next day , even though we were staying for 3 days. I spoke with clerk about the issues on the morning she said I should have said something and that she has had people removed and arrested. That told me a lot about this place. I asked for a partial refund but she indicated that since I had not said anything that they could do nothing. I expected that outcome based on my stay and the impression of the hotel. Needles to say will be my last time ever staying at this establishment.

the wash rags was not fully clean, they had a yellow stain, the bed sheets had many nasty brown & red stains on them, there was hair on the toilet seat, & we didnt bother touching the shower (stayed for jus 1 night)

Did not change linen as requested. Baby roaches in shower on floors and walls. Screaming smoking guests and police cars outside in the morning. They got it all here.

There was ants and roaches in my room, I was on the 4th floor. The AC did not work. Cleaning lady left the window open which attracted flies. The shower was small and grungy due to being old. The bathroom was very small and nothing like the photos online

Check into my room and found dirty bathroom, ants and roaches, leaking refrigerator, lack of towels, trash on the floor and left over trash in the can in my room. I went back to the lobby to switch rooms only to find out the hotel was full and I was stuck with the room I was in. I was so disappointed because in the past I had nothing less than 5 star treatment from Red Roof Inn properties.

Well, I rarely write negative reviews but the truth needs to be told. Horrible dingy place. We thought 4 story building away from I-95 but … Smelled like in Amsterdam, shady characters, keys didn’t work, fire alarm was beeping, loud music till 1-2 am (my wife said don’t call and complain, the reception guy won’t do anything). 4 police cars in the morning..Stay away from Fayetteville NC

I checked in the hotel around 11p. However I did not go up to the room at that time because I was trying to be somewhere else by a certain time. I only got the room for the night to sleep and not drive home (an hour and 45 minutes away), drunk. When my friend and I got back to the hotel we went up to the room for the first time. The hallway smelled like cigarettes. The room was cold because the window had been left open, and we could not get the heat to turn on. So we go back downstairs and let the person at the front desk at the time know. She said she had to check the room herself before she could do anything. She came back 10-15 minutes later and stated she couldn’t do anything because she got the heat working. She also stated it was MY fault because I didn’t go up to the room when I checked in. I let her know it didn’t matter what time I checked in, the window should not have been open when I got there and the room should not have been cold! She tried to argue back and forth with me. I took the keys back from her and told her to have a good night a couple of times while she was trying to argue with me. We went up to the cold room and waited for it to warm. The next morning the room was warm but the bathroom was cold (not sure if the heat was working in there. We then headed out to leave to find the hallway smelling now like marijuana. The cleaning staff were friendly. But the experience of the room and the staff was terrible. I doubt I stay at a red roof again.

Roaches everywhere. Nightclub next door loud music till 3am. Asked to have room changed to other side so i would not hear the music so much around 11pm, staff said they are full and no room available but they had a room on first floor cause i walked my dog at 10pm can see the room was not filled same room empty in morning so staff just doesnt care. Place is just awful, just terrible.
