Quality Inn Fayetteville near Historic Downtown Square

It was ok for someone on a budget. The rooms were clean, all appliances and plumbing working. The problem was the free breakfas, not healthy at all. Orange juice wasn't freshly squeezed, artificial sugar high fructose and so was the maple syrup for the waffles. No milk for the cereal. Kids had to use the 2% milk from the coffee area. Bread options were bagels, white bread and store bought mini blueberry muffins. No shredded cheese for the eggs, no bacon only sausage patties and no fresh grits or oatmeal, instant packets. Yogurt was some high sugar cream flavor, no healthy options for yogurt. It appears that the staff got the cheapest food supplies for breakfast. No effort in caring about the customers for quality and consideration for healthy food options.

Being on the square is nice. There are some restaurants and a bar that you can walk too. It is close to everything if your driving. Trillith is right now the road. The traffic is loud if you are on that side of the building. Lots of cars all night and all the noise that comes with that.

It was clean and I like the secured doors. Feeling safe is definitely important, thank you. I had issues with my faucet in the bathroom. It wasn’t functioning properly when I tried to turn it on, I had to push it all the way back and to the right or left for hot or cold.

My challenges were opening the door with the key fob… lol. There was an art to it. I was shown I had to have my hand on the handle first next, place key fob on the scan to open the door. My second challenge was that the Inn does not offer extended late check out beyond one hour of the standard check out time. I was given an additional hour stay without an additional charge. I was willing to pay an additional charge to check out two hours later past the standard check out time. Overall, I will consider lodging there when I travel to Fayetteville to visit my family.

The location was fine. The food was ok, but the hot food was cold. The lock on the door wouldn't work and we had to change rooms. The noise from the Sunday church service was so loud that we couldn't even hear our TV. The toilet seat was broken; the hair dryer didn't have any heat; the shower was set for hot water and it was cold and vice versa; the refrigerator was noisy; and there were other issues as well.

Location was convenient. Noisy traffic along Highway 54 ( Lanier Ave.), right outside our room window. Lots of drunk guests in and out once the bars across the street closed after Midnight. Breakfast was very basic with few options.

Parking was easy. Staff polite and attentive. Breakfast had hot and cold choices as good as highly rated hotels, clean and inviting.

I was very disappointed when I called and let the staff know my bed was squeaky and was keeping me from sleeping. They showed no concern about it and never changed my room the next day or checked back with me . Staff wasn’t too friendly at all . Parking was available.

I had a great room location. It was 1st floor just around the corner from the Booking Desk. Breakfast was excellent. The waffle was great....Eggs and Sausage were Outstanding. All staff were exceptional. Nothing. Everything exceeded my expectations.

Easy to find and not in a location that was loud I asked for handicap bathroom but it wasn’t really handicapped in bathroom and I almost fell in the shower as there were no bars to hold on to

We attended a concert that was Saturday night at 8:00 so we lived an hour and a half away so we decided to just get a hotel overnight and we chose this hotel The stay was okay we attempted to relax Sunday morning we asked for a late checkout check out was at 11:00 they told us they could do 11:30 we were okay with that so we're resting and relaxing from the night before because we were out pretty late and then we were awakened by church service in the room that would appear to be right next door to us church service started at around 9:30 10:00 The singing the instruments it was extremely loud we did not get the sleep we expected to get when we called to find out what was going on we were told that a church at least a space and I asked well why couldn't they wait till check out time to begin service and I was told kind of rudely they paid their money too so needless to say we did not get the rest that we intended to get by staying at that particular hotel and now that I know that they have church services there I won't recommend it to anybody else to stay there over the weekend It was not far from the location where we attended a concert it was 15 minutes away so that was really good because we live an hour and a half from that facility

The breakfast was good, and it was conveniently located in the middle of where I needed to be You know, for the most part the room was fine, but the bathroom, which was really not great. The paint was bubbling. The caulking was falling apart look like there were some water damage. The shower handle and faucet were all flaking off and chipping. There were some rust spots on the walls it look like a crappy paint job got done right before I got there. The soap inside of the shower was filthy, and it was only an eighth of the way full implying that they didn’t change it from the last person.

It was a good area to stay in It has a bad smell in the hallways, and room. Our floor looked like it hasn’t been swept in days. The Oder was really bad. We also asked for more wash cloths and they said none was washed.

I’m happy to say (and I hope remains this way) our stay this time was much, much better. The bed was quite comfortable, the room was clean and well-appointed and the staff was great!

The rooms were great. Just lacked amenities that I saw on the website was available like when I asked for the roll out bed they said they have none on location when I was told before they did. No extra pillows and blankets at all which was a major let down.

Cute city, cute facilities. Room, not so much. Door was not very secure, leaked light and sound like crazy. Security latch reported to staff but never repaired during our stay. Towels like sandpaper. There was overnight construction happening next door at the Dunkin that kept us awake, but management refused to move us to a room on the other side of the hotel. If we ever get back to Fayetteville, we will certainly seek other accommodation.

I was very tired from the 6 plus hour drive so I tried to get some sleep in my car until my room was ready. I noticed lots of people had checked out and the parking lot was basically empty. I went back to the front desk and asked were there any clean rooms available. The clerk proceeded to check before telling me check-in wasn’t until 3:00pm and I would have to pay a $30.00 early check-in fee. Considering there was barely 2-3 cars, including mine left in the parking lot, led me to believe that the hotel was basically empty at the time. I was in disbelief that they would make me wait until 3:00 pm to check-in. I paid the $30.00 early check-in fee because I simply wanted to shower and get some rest. Should I return to Fayetteville in the future, I don’t think this property would be on my list of places to stay.

The hotel is noisy, be it from street noise or customer noise, the walls are paper thin. The breakfast is what I stay there for. They have the best included breakfast of any less expensive hotel in the area. Also, parking is terrible and getting into and out of the driveway is nearly impossible with the traffic on the main road.

I didn't like that it is difficult to directly contact the hotel. This hotel has rooms with both interior doors as well as exterior. The hallways had cobwebs in the ceilings which made me uneasy, but the room was clean it just smelled very musty and felt damp.

Rooms need updating. My room was moldly and had a moldy smell. Visible mold on the chair and sofa and the ceiling in the bathroom. Mattress needs updating a bit uncomfortable. Please change the carpet in the hallways! Musty modly smell as soon as you open the door.

At times difficult to understand what front desk gentleman was saying - very fast talker. My room was right across from elevator so I heard all the men & workers in trucks who were loud out there. But that was just a matter of placement. Sheets were nice and clean and good A/C, both important to me.

I showed up for the race weekend in Atlanta Georgia. We chose to stay in Fayetteville. When we arrived l noticed the sign on the desk. If you have a pet in the room there would be a few of like $200. Me trying to do the right thing. So I explain to them that my 73 year old mother has a small dog. Then I was told that I was told that I would have to pay $50 extra. And that I was supposed to notify them beforehand that I had a pet. Thinking it wasn't a big deal because of a pet friendly hotel. I was told that we wasn't allowed to stay there because they didnt have a room available because of the dog. I was shocked. All I'm saying is. I travel a lot with my family. I showed up for the race weekend in Atlanta Georgia. We chose to stay in Fayetteville. When we arrived l noticed the sign on the desk. If you have a pet in the room there would be a few of like $200. Me trying to do the right thing. So I explain to them that my 73 year old mother has a small dog. Then I was told that I was told that I would have to pay $50 extra. And that I was supposed to notify them beforehand that I had a pet. Thinking it wasn't a big deal because of a pet friendly hotel. I was told that we wasn't allowed to stay there because they didnt have a room available because of the dog. I was shocked. All I'm saying is. I travel a lot with my family. And I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The air conditioner was so loud I couldn't sleep in the room. And there was black mold in the bathroom along the shower. Bed was comfortable and staff was great.

Room was okay. It was on the outside of the bldg facing the main busy street. Noisy with fire truck and traffic. More like a motel than hotel because we had to walk on outside balcony to enter the hallway to get to the room. Mattress on bed was uncomfortable.

A very clean and quiet area. I always feel safe staying here. And the staff is very helpful people.

No hot water for it was broken and still did not work the next day they would only give me 30 dollars when I had to check out a day early cause there was still no hot water when I paid 139.00 so I had to pay to stay somewhere else terrible

She then puts me in the room straight across, room 101. I was appreciative of the move but as I settled into this room and watching television, a roach crawled up the TV screen, and all I could smell while laying in bed was perfume. I slept in my clothes because I wasn't sure if the bed had been changed. I was done!! I checked out early the next morning not staying the full three days as I had paid for. This hotel needs some work to the rooms, the other entrances weren't working, and the ice machine wasn't working. Housekeeping needs to do better in cleaning the rooms. It definitely wasn't worth the money I paid. I give this hotel a 1 star.

Location is great. Sadly it must have been a grand old hotel at one time, but it has seen better days. The room had been "updated" last Sept. 2024 and the hallway as well. The bathroom sink tap needs replacement....Room was quite clean. Ok place for one night. Pool is not working. No notification of this on their website.

The heater/air conditioner was SOOO loud, I absolutely could not sleep! Furthermore, there was no way to turn it OFF, and despite the unit saying “to adjust the temperature use the thermostat on the wall,” there was no thermostat on the wall to be found — anywhere in the room.

Little noisy

The room was clean, overall. The walls are rather thin, so hearing the residents next door was rather easy. The flip bolt to keep the door secured was wobbly and would have freed itself from the door jamb with enough pressure from the outside. I showed this to the front desk person in the morning and they took note of it.

Very cozy and quiet. The gentleman that serves the breakfast was very respectful and clean. Rooms were very spacious and very clean.

If you like sleeping in a dark room or watching TV before bed, try someplace else. The lights outside our room and LED lights IN our room we're bright enough to read a book. Also, the remote control for the TV didn't work and we couldn't even figure out how to work it manually. Not the greatest.

Stayed here multiple times and never has failed to make it enjoyable.

I had a wonderful time, but I recommend that Hotels.com inform guests of the 100.00 refundable deposit requirement. Cash payments are accepted, and the room will undergo inspection. If everything is in order, the cash deposit will be reimbursed. I was impressed by the staff's friendly, helpful, and respectful attitude.

The property itself is very quiet, renovations were going on during my stay. Hoping when I visit again they will be finished, and can see the difference. Overall for the rate it was good.

I booked a king bed at 2 different times and was told they only had double queen. The room shouldn’t be offered if it not available. I was highly pissed.

The staff was very friendly. It’s very peaceful and quiet. I’ve stayed here before, that’s why I stayed here again. This year the hotel was being renovated. Other than that, everything was pretty clean.

OK place and did fine for what we needed it for. The cleanliness could’ve been better and the room smelled a bit like animals. The welcome booklet was stained with what appeared to be pet urine, so we threw that out. Was also under renovations which somehow led to the doors leading to outside being completely unlocked and unsecure. Lastly we had ongoing issues with our key cards not working, and though staff fixed it for us, we had to go back and get them recalibrated three different times.

This was my second stay at this property. For the value, it is worth considering because it is clean, you can walk to some restaurants and shops, and it is convenient to Piedmont Fayette if you are visiting the hospital. I have stayed at other area hotels that cost twice as much and didn't offer anything more than this one does. Star ratings don't always tell the true story.

Then the construction people started working at 4:30 am - right near our room. NOT a restful night, total waste of money. I should’ve left when we arrived and saw condition of the property. A rating of 81 from health department - I wouldn’t even drink coffee from here! Suggestion: close the property , renovate and reopen. This used to be such a nice facility!

The TV did not work , the floor was unswept, toilet was not clean and the sheets appeared to have already been slept in.

Rough nights of sleep. Loud and obnoxious neighbors in the hotel. Late night screaming and loud talkers. Walls are paper thin.

The chair in my room was dirty. It was the first thing I noticed as I entered the room. It needed a serious steam/upholstery cleaning. I was impressed with the presentation of the continental breakfast. Everything was so clean and neat. I was not able to partake any of the food, but everything appeared to be fresh.

Easy check-in, room was fine, comfortable bed. Was right across from elevator & was surprised how quiet it was.

I always enjoy staying at this property. The staff is always a pleasure, the beds are comfortable, and for the price you cant beat it. The free breakfast is nice. The coffee is terrible. I'll stay here everytime I come to town for work.

The front desk staff was very friendly. The breakfast was delicious. The lady that worked in the breakfast area was awesome. The only negative is that the bathrooms are tiny and the property is outdated and really needs to be upgraded.

Well rested

They ran out of breakfast food, sausage and eggs, two of the three days I was there. Got some, but smaller portion than usual. Didn't get more shampoo. My neighbors were super loud and obnoxious two of the three mornings and I get up at 5:15. I've already commented on the construction workers, but this time also witnessed them sitting around in the parking lot drinking beer. Not the best picture you want painted about your hotel.

Smelled like mold

Wonderful stay! I thought the bed was great. I really liked the high ceilings in the room. Strong water pressure in the shower with plenty of hot water. The breakfast was nice too. The sausage links were better than the pattys. Avoid the coffee at breakfast it was really awful. Besides the coffee this is a great hotel especially for the price. I stayed for four nights, and will definitely come back next time i work in the area.

It was definitely clean, you can smell the cleaning products and see it! I loved that! Breakfast was lil less than what I had hoped for but hot nonetheless.

Ummm nope. The housekeeping staff did their job well which is the only good thing I can say.

The staff was great from the front desk to the cleaning staff, but the property while in an awesome location is old and needs some upgrades. I watched some painting and mopping in the lobby, the attention to front lobby detail was great - let’s tend to those fixtures and places where joint dirt is obvious.

Hey, its an inexpensive place to stay in Fayetteville and I need to stay somewhere close to work. Definitely a no frills hotel with some bugs and bad plumbing in some of the rooms, but decent enough for a business trip. Wouldn't bring the wife and don't exactly feel the safest, but just keep up with your situational awareness.

Bed sheets wasn’t clean. Called to get new one but never did. There was blonde hair in the bathroom and on towels. Asked for new towels and never got them.

The hitel itself was beautifull, the staff was great. Bed was lumpy and cheap. Woke up really sore.

Bed was really uncomfortable & bathroom so small (shower/toilet) that it was hard to maneuver (couldn't shut door if using the toilet). Also, the "view" we had was a wall, although we weren't staying for fun (family emergency). We did appreciate the breakfast and the staff was friendly.

We chose this establishment because our home required a repair. The check in process was quick but we were surprised by the $50 additional per night fee for our pet. These fees were not shown on the website. Also, there were some areas of deferred maintenance noticed.

The property was well maintained and the staff was great! The room on the pool side was a little noisy because of the main road. The room fridge was rickety but I was happy to have one. All in all a decent stay if you have reason to be in Fayetteville. Clean and friendly!

No hot water. Room not cleaned as there was still items like a half of the water bottle somebody’s mail or left in the room. The shower still had dirt rings around it. Even when we complained to the front desk, they seemed to not care at all.

I love the customer service from the breakfast lady. She was so polite and friendly. It is an old hotel but our room was very clean and quiet.

My stay at the Quality Inn wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. The person that checked me in, asked for my DL, phone number, email and the last four digits of the card that I used on line to pay for the room. My issue was, the person verified me with my DL, phone number and email. That should have been enough especially since the room was already paid. If I wasn't able to give that person the last four of the card that was used to pay for the room, that person would not have given me a paid room. I find this unacceptable since the person had already verified who I was. It wasn't necessary for me to then, tell this person the last four digits of my card. This person also didn't inform me of the breakfast in the morning. Since this was not my first time staying there, I knew it was available but I still wasn't informed about breakfast. Also right outside my room people were smoking cigarettes in a non smoking area of the hotel. Overall, this just wasn't a good stay.

Also, to top it off breakfast was not really ready ...no coffee, no biscuits, just eggs. Stay in the hotel across the way for your own safety and well being.
