Candlewood Suites Dallas NW - Farmers Branch by IHG

This hotel was beyond PERFECTION!! We had business in the DFW area for a week and I was worried for the comfortability of my extended stay but Candlewood was beyond my expectations. The room was generously spacious with a full functioning kitchen full of amenities for all my cooking needs with cups, dishes, even pots and pans! A good sized upright fridge, stovetop, microwave, even a disposal in the sink! That's amazing! There was a perfect little nook with a dining table perfect for two, the room and everything was absolutely clean, plush beds, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better stay anywhere else. The parking garage in the back is free for guests but honestly, I had no problems parking out front and the area is perfectly safe and always well lit at night. 10 out of 10, definitely recommend!

My room was absolutely amazing. The cleanliness was top tier. Not a speck of dirt or anything out of order. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could have needed. Pots, pans, silver ware, plates and glasses were all on hand. I delt with several staff members and each provided excellent assistance. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location was convenient for a conference I was attending. The bed was comfortable. Had difficulty with Wi-Fi connectivity. Had to call the front desk to assist. There is no "free breakfast." Only free coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. Everything else was prepackaged items you had to purchase if you so desired.

The room and entire facility was clean and really nice. It was really quiet which allowed guests to get rest. The kitchenette in the room was a huge bonus! The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the night and morning clerks were super nice and helpful. We will definitely stay again in the future.

The staff at the reception has excellent customer service but the air in the room is damp and musty. There’s cobweb, indicating there might be spider in the room. The bedsheet is also due to be replaced.

Nothing. Dusty room, unclean, had our family up coughing and sneezing throughout the night. Ambiance was awful - old feeling and slightly creepy vibe.

We enjoyed everything about our stay here. The staff were all very friendly. We felt comfortable and safe. The spaces were nice and clean. We loved the convenience of a kitchenette in the room. Although we didn’t use many of the amenities, we loved the variety that was offered.

Regretted booking this hotel as soon as i entered the room. Room size is smaller than it looks in pictures, room had this old smell to it, I saw a cockroach (big size) in my room. Refrigerator running sound was so loud i couldn't sleep. I would never stay here again.

I came to check in after it was already dark and drove right past the office to the Holiday Inn next to it. You can't even see this office! Also, the parking garage does not have an elevator so if you have a lot of luggage, you better drop it at the front before you park. If you are a female traveling alone, I wouldn't advise this hotel, just book next door at either of the other ones. Other than that, the full kitchen and the room is fine! Gym was ok, you can get a solid workout in if there's no more than 2 of you in there.

Rooms were very clean and spacious. We had no issues whatsoever. Unknowingly booked the weekend of the Red River Rivalry so there was a decent amount of traffic but the staff handled it perfectly. Definitely my new option when visiting the area.

First time staying in a suite with kitchen. The amenities were the reason for the stay. The staff was very welcoming and check out was rapid and convenient. I travel frequently and will be using this facility again.

Overall nice property can have some updates in the lobby area. But the website is very false. They don’t have a pool at all & don’t have an arcade like it says. Not sure why it’s still up there. But that was the whole reason for us going there. Very upset overall the room was nice and clean. But the amenities 👎

We like staying in this area. The hotel smelled ok but our room smelled like sewage, we tried to use essential oils and room spray but it was still bad. They did offer to move us to another room but said they didn’t have another room available like the one we booked.

This place provides high value for the price, especially because (while I didn't need to use it) laundry is free in lieu of free breakfast - I know for some people it saves a lot of money but I find it very wasteful in terms of food and packaging and it's wasteful for human resources. The rooms are the perfect size - not too small but not excessive, plenty of space to stretch. Bathrooms are good size and layout makes sense. The bathrooms also provide toiletries in the bigger containers and you just pump what you need - again, cutting down on unnecessary waste - AND the trashcan was lined! Shower pressure is decent. The parking garage with (working, supposedly) cameras is the cherry on top. Cons - The pillows are really (too) soft and the bed was a little uncomfortable but I can't pinpoint exactly why. The A/c seems to need calibration or something, it kept turning off even at a lower temperature.

Very dated property. Everything looked old and well used. We had to stay because of flight issues. But I do not think I would ever purposely stay at a Candlewood Suites again.

We booked Candlewood for a 3-night stay. I read the reviews before our stay and I agree with most of the input regarding this establishment. The parking is absolutely terrible. We drove around the property twice before we found the door for registration. There is a side street you park on for the entrance to registration. However, the signage is low to the ground so it's not visible because it's blocked by the vehicles parked there. In addition, there is only 1 parking spot designated for registration and people use it as a parking spot. Additionally, the parking issues make unloading your luggage difficult. It's hard to explain the problem with parking without visually seeing it, but trust the reviews on this one. The hotel also shares a parking garage with the Holiday Inn next door. We would often have to go 3 floors up to find a parking spot- just not convenient. The only other issue was the walls in the room, they could use a good cleaning, especially the bathroom. Other than the parking and dirty walls, we enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and it's near a highway which makes easy access to wherever you need to go. The rooms include a kitchette so that's a benefit!!

The staff was very friendly but the rooms are not sound proof and there was left over food in the carbage disposal. I reset it and allowed the food to travel through the drains. There was someone in a neighboring room that was snoring loudly and the other neighbor had lots a traffic throughout the night.

Checked in late , property was clean , room clean as spotless and had a nice scent.

Nothing is within walking distance except a gas station and a little ma and pop store. The elevator kept making a weird singing noise which was very annoying, but the room was clean and the hotel was quiet. I would've stayed longer, but they uncharged the room for an additional 2 nights which costed more than the 3 nights I already stayed there. I moved to the Hampton Hotel next door and paid 1/2 the price for a better bed, pool, and hot tub, and a full breakfast.
