Clarion Inn Falls Church - Arlington

Pictures are definitely not current/are AI. Staff wasn’t very friendly when checking in, barely spoke and was super quiet could hardly hear the little bit they did speak. NOT handicap friendly unless there’s a separate area that’s not seen, stairs to get to more stairs to get to rooms. Bathroom was very tiny, could barely open the door without hitting the toilet. Mattresses are very hard and uncomfortable. The tv “note” on how to get ch angels to work didn’t NOT WORK. Room was super dark even when sun was out because there’s no lights besides lamps above nightstand one over in the far corner and bathroom and they’re minimal. Definitely will never stay here again.

We stayed here last year and it was great this year,no internet the whole stay,no non decaffeinated teabags,no fresh water,breakfast really poor. Yoghurts in tiny sauce pots,orangers cut into quarters,over ripe bananas,little choice of breaded good,as in brown,white or a doughnut, only 2 choice of cereal and fruit juice and when we wanted plain water they said they had not had a delivery of fresh water for the machine.Staff didnt really care just shrugged should and went on about something else.This is our 14th night on the road and worst hotel,beds are on like metal boxes when you move sounds like a drum,doors slamming all night,think people staying here permanently going out for a smoke,so disappointed, stop cutting corners .

I checked in at midnight and the staff at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful! The room was clean and nice! The warm light in the bathroom was a nice touch. Parking was easy to access as well.

The hotel’s internal bureaucratic systems is extremely rigid. I extended my stay by a night but it was a separate reservation. Despite telling the front desk when I checked in that I don’t want to move, I got consistent banging on my door and calls that demanded I go to the front desk to hand in my key and get a new one. In other hotels, it’s done behind the scenes. The worse that could have happened is that the key card doesn’t work for the extended time period. But no, Clarion puts their systems and management policy way above the customer

The rooms were clean and well maintained. The continental breakfast had a good selection of fresh, hot breakfast items with attendants maintaining the food and cleanliness. The hotel is a bit outdated and in need of updating. There are no elevators to the second floor. You must carry your luggage up the stairs. The vending machines were not replenished sufficiently. Just trying to have bottled water, the machine was empty after our first day and the price of the same bottled water downstairs was more expensive.

The friendliness of the staff was over-the-top. Awesome. The building is an older one — more like a motel — but the rooms have been updated, and my 1st-floor room was surprisingly quiet, like an empty library! Really comfy beds, and the rooms are well-equipped with everything you’ll need for a cozy stay.

The location was amazing and the lobby was clean with nice decor. The bed was like sleeping on concrete and the pillows were smaller than throw pillows. The pool was kind of dirty, too. The building shows that it has a restaurant and lounge but they only serve breakfast. The restaurant/lounge is no longer open.

The breakfast offered a variety of options. Upon my arrival I requested a late check out. However, this information was never communicated to housekeeping and I was awoken earlier than need be on the day of my departure.

The Clarion in Falls Church, Virginia is a terrific hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. The staff attending the front desk were friendly and helpful. Plus, the breakfast was a full meal, with sausage or ham and eggs, fried potatoes, fruit, muffins, and a waffle machine. They provide coffee, tea, orange and apple juice, milk, and water. They provide a free shuttle service to the nearby Metro station. Finally, the location is very close to Washington DC. Don’t overlook this property due to its low price.

Breakfast on offer was about okay. My room was close to the main road, had to deal with road noise, ambulances and traffic all night!

Clean A woman from the staff opened the door while I was coming out of shower. There was a sign of Do Not Disturb. I hope she didn’t see me naked! I reported the incident to the front desk.

This hotel was conveniently located on the main Rt 50. Staff was friendly & helpful. The hotel is a little out of date but it was clean and service was good. Free breakfast and parking are a plus. Also, reasonably priced rooms for the area.

Everything is perfect! I stay here a lot and never disappointed. Staff is wonderful and the single best think is my job has me rotating between sites in different cities at the last minute and I can always freely cancel when management notifies me where to go at the last minute. You can't be that convenience in my line of work! I love everything!

Pool was empty of H2O and the place was run down. We ate breakfast once. Not impressed.

There was an event taking place which used up most of the guest parking. Everyone was fighting over parking spaces. It was alarming. Management is very poor and unorganized. Poor communication with staff. Hotel room was adequate for a one night stay, breakfast wasn’t good, staff was very nice. Overall, not worth the money. I will not return.

The Room was very large. It had laminate flooring instead of carpet, which is nice. The sheets smelled clean. The towels were fluffy. The location of the hotel was convenient. There is no elevator so you had to lug your suitcase to the second floor. The corners of the floor and threshold to the bathroom were filthy. I used a washcloth to wipe up some of it and the cloth was black. I took it down to reception. They had someone clean the next day and they still did not get everything. Although they can't seem to clean a floor, the sinks, toilette, and counters were clean.

Parking was a bit messy due to an event the same evening. Spots were reserved with traffic cones for hotel guests but had to move the cone to park the car. Had kareoke going until 2am. Our room was right around the corner. Very loud making it hard to sleep. Could this be included in listing to make guests aware ahead.

It was so convenient, the room was clean, they offered a morning breakfast, check in was easy. The breakfast they offered was mediocre (but it was free and part of the stay). I had a very disappointing experience at Clarion Inn Falls Church-Arlington. One of our rooms had a very bad smell, and since we were on the ground floor, we had to squeeze the people staying in that room into another room for the night, which was very uncomfortable. When we spoke to the front desk about it, the lady working there was extremely rude and unhelpful. She refused to offer any refund or solution, and her attitude made the situation even worse. We were made to feel like our concerns didn’t matter at all. Overall, very poor customer service and not a pleasant stay. I would not recommend this place.

Room toilet had dried feces in it, when I called the front desk to have it cleaned, I was asked if the toilet worked and told there was no available staff for cleaning. After persistent complaining and asking for a room with a clean toilet the young lady who clearly was annoyed that I was insisting on getting the toilet cleaned finally agreed to send someone up. This man was kind and respectful and cleaned the area and was very apologetic. The parking was okay and the hotel was only about a fifteen-minute drive to Washington D.C.and all the activities we had planned. The breakfast was okay, but eggs, potatoes and meat were cold both days we stayed. The bed mattresses were not comfortable as other hotels we've stayed at but you get what you pay for and we survived. Between toilet experience, gold breakfast and uncomfortable bed I'm being generous giving the hotel 3 stars overa

The hotel staff were extremely friendly which is always impressive these days! The hotel wasn’t anything fancy or extraordinary but it was clean, safe and convenient. I would definitely recommends this hotel for other travelers.

Great stay until the last night we were there. The last night the other guests staying were very noisy. There were kids running and screaming in the hallways at 11pm. The room above us also had kids who were running and stomping late at night and early in the morning. When we called the front desk the lady was rude and told us no one was staying above us. We have stayed here twice in the past and didn’t have this issue. Not the hotels fault but they were not helpful with dealing with the issue.

This was a hidden gem. The outside appearance would make you change your mind about staying there. Once we stepped in, it was amazing. The only negative was the Wi-Fi was spotty.

The photos used are Ai generated and are not correct. This hotel was NOT as described. The mattress was exposed underneath to stains, as well as crumbs, hair, and bug casings at the headboard. The photos are misleading. I requested a refund and did not stay there. This is the first time leaving a poor review. Ai photos and enhanced advertisements are wrong and should not be tolerated. I did not get what I paid for.

A complimentary shuttle to the nearest metro station made getting out easy. Breakfast was nice: eggs, home fries, yogurt, bananas, coffee, cereal, and even a pancake machine. The service was friendly, and the overall atmosphere felt safe and well-maintained. Highly recommend for a short, convenient stay.

Stay was ok. Very busy street with a crowded parking lot. The hotel needs updates. The hallway carpet was worn and a bit dirty, some fixtures in the bathroom were rusty. The room was pretty clean but felt a bit industrial - not comfy. We were on the bottom floor, so quite a bit of noise from people outside. Over-all the stay was ok but not great.

Because of the government furlough situation I was considering staying an extra day - but my treatment at the front desk killed that idea very quickly. I write this before trying out the free breakfast - but I am not expecting much based on my experience so far. I am in my 79th year - fortunately in good health since I was assigned a room on the second floor and there doesn't seem to be an elevator. The bed is comfortable - the tv offerings are antique - whatever system they subscribe to is weak on offerings and awkward to use.

their rooms were super clean and spacious however, the ceilings were way too high and long so it felt really bare and the lighting wasn't great so it had some depression tone to it, it was dark in there. and i didn't like that it wasn't pet friendly. but altogether it wasn't a bad hotel at all. those were the only things wrong in my opinion and that was all it was. but altogether, good.

Clean, updated, quiet.

It was a nice place to stay, clean and easy to get to attractions in area. The only problem was the breakfast- eggs were uncooked and the sausage was tough.

Our stay so far has been good. We have extended twice because there is more we want to see in the area.

Clean hotel

The only issue was the food and bar area. Staff did not know how to make drinks that was on the menu also the soda was flat that came out of the machine at bar area. Breakfast was okay

The stay was nice and comfortable, located at 10-15mins from malls and restaurants, cleaning was ok, gym is nice and pool looked nice (although we didn't use it). Didn't likes are basically two: Variation of breakfasts, doens't have guest laundry room (although there is a place for that accross the street).

Hallways were hot. The orientation layout is confusing a little when trying to navigate to your room. But a decent place to stay for a night or two. Room was clean rate was decent. Check is was smooth.

Transfer service to and from close metro station is great. Very nice drivers. Too bad, I only learnt about after arriving by bus, which was difficult to find at the metro station.

The staff was great. Room was very nice and clean. The breakfast was mediocre, but it was free. The breakfast set up as well as the food could use improvement. It’s set up in a corner, actually sort of crammed into a corner, and is very congested because there’s no space for people. I was glad they had yogurt, bananas and cold cereal as the hot offerings were not too appealing. They should add individual servings of peanut butter. The shuttle service to the metro was great — both drivers were excellent. We were disappointed the ice machine on the first floor was not working during our stay. We had to walk the stairs to second floor to get ice. After a long day of walking in the D.C. heat, this was inconvenient (no elevators). But the room and staff both were great.

This motel is clean and cleaning staff and morning breakfast servers we’re up to mark. It is good motel.

The hotel is beautiful clean and comfortable. The staff was very attentive. The only complaint I have was that the pool hours were very restrictive. We encountered some storms that delayed our travels and when we got to the hotel we were informed that the pool is open from 1pm until 8pm. The pool was the main reason that we chose the hotel. I asked again in the morning since the pool was just sitting there if my boys could just swim for a little before we checked out. We were told no. That was very disappointing. If this hotel wants to unrealistically restrict the pool hours it should be clearly communicated on the website so that other traveling families who have kiddos who can look elsewhere.

Though not fancy was clean and accessible. The staff was very nice and helpful. The young lady the drove us to and from the Metro Station in their shuttle service van was an absolute sweetheart. The entire staff really did their best to make us comfortable and cover our needs. We will plan to use this facility on any return trips to the area.

Such a great value! For a great price, they have a free breakfast, shuttle service and pool. The warm cookies at night was a plus too. The staff was very friendly.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room smelled of cat urine which we think stemmed from the AC but we couldn’t figure out why because the room was newly remodeled, very clean and well prepared for visitors.

My granddaughter and I stayed for a week. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. We used the shuttle service to and from the metro stop a good bit and really enjoyed meeting the drivers, who were all very nice. I have a couple of complaints. One was that our room could use some repairs. There was a hole in the wall near the bottom of the doorframe in the bathroom and a good bit of rust around it. The breakfast served everyday was o, but could use a little more variety, like different types of cereal, more bread choices and maybe some bagels and more fruit choices.

I liked the shuttle that they offered, it takes you to the metro. The breakfast is atrocious, very small and clumped in a small corner there’s also not a lot of options for so many people. The bedroom was beautiful but there wasn’t very many outlets. We would stay again.

Staff was excellent. Breakfast was tasty. We utilized the shuttle to the metro station to get to downtown DC. The girl who drove us was super friendly and down to earth. Everyone was excellent to deal with and friendly. Will stay again if we go back to DC.

Better impression than I expected

Weed smell. Disgusting environment. Nice staff overall. Terrible management. Tried to get a refund when we left their disgusting hotel after staying a grand total of 90 mins in our room. We had booked a 2 night stay that my wife immediately let me know wasn’t acceptable. Unfortunately we booked a non-refundable hotel through Expedia before we had seen our room. Couldn’t even get our second day refunded. Would have made sense to pay for cleaning the room for the 90 mins. I find this manager and management team irresponsibly negligent for their behavior. Never staying at any of your low rate budget hotels in any city again.

Both sinks in our room were clogged. I’ve come to the realization that every time I book with expedia I get the worst rooms, so I guess you get what you pay for… convenient location though. Plenty of places to eat and about 20 min from the museums.

The rooms are comfortable, clean, spacious, and well laid-out, and every single member of the team here (including the front desk, the restaurant/breakfast staff, and the housekeeping staff) are all great -- friendly, welcoming, courteous, and go out of their way to ensure a positive guest experience.
