Because of my mobility issues I prefer the motel style lodging so I can park right in front of my room so this was the nearest to my dinner destination. I was grateful that hotel receptionist was welcoming and allowed early access. I was surprised I could barely squeeze between oversized pickup trucks to park in front of my room. This signaled that there were a lot of long term guests, supported later by the outdoor chatter that lasted until after midnight. I got ready for bed only to discover no TV remote. I thought I would call the guest for one but there was no phone in the room to connect to the desk. The wall lamp on one bed side had been pulled out - wall not repaired. Floor could have been cleaner. Bed linen had stains. "Extended Stay" and no kitchenware? The exterior paint trim was badly peeling. Very disappointing.

It’s a hotel on a 30 minutes distance from DC prime attractions and that’s fine. Clean room clean amenities clean surroundings. Courteous staffs. The only thing we didn’t like was the wrong impression about the breakfast. We hardly had anything at breakfast as there was nothing except some coffee and cereals. Because of that we had to spend the morning hour in searching of outside food joints before heading towards sightseeing. Other than that, it’s a sweet spot to rest without any discomfort. Good luck

The beds were ok, but the bathroom was pretty awful. The sink was completely clogged. The shower/tub were very worn out and may have been clean but because of the worn areas looked suspect. I would not stay here again.

THERE WERE ROACHES, RUST AND TINY BUGS CRAWLING EVERYWHERE. THE TOLIETS WERE FLIMSY AND COULDN'T TAKE NORMAL FLUSHES, I WAS SURROUNDED BY GANGSTALKING SMOKERS THAT WALKED PAST MY ROOM EVERY HOUR. I WILL ADD THAT $--- FOR THAT ROOM WAS A SCAM. UGO2HELL

Well kept property. There was quite a bit of noise stemming from occupants of other units, easily heard due to the style of the property.

The bathtub was failing apart there was a large spider on a web in the tub. The fridge was not clean and there’s burn marks on the floor by the toilet

Staff was very courteous and handled our requests promptly.

There is only a bare minimum of coffee/tea, oatmeal, granola bars at the hotel lobby. Our room had some stains that seemed to be from construction, but nothing crazy. Overall the room is cozy and came w/ a stove, fridge, sink, and microwave so we could reheat leftovers - it served it's purpose. The staff worked with what they had, they were friendly and made sure to attend to everything. No complaints there.

We were in the midst of a move and needed somewhere to spend the night nearby that was pet friendly and this was exactly what we needed. It is a no frills type of place but it was clean and we slept well.

The hotel doubles for housing homeless and is unsafe, espicially at night. It also smelled very bad from unclean carpets and when it rains, there is flooding into rooms as happened during my brief stay. The safety and smells caused me and at least three other guests to check out after one night of a three night trip. No one received refunds and Expedia could not reach the hotel to discuss a refund. Front desk refused and smirked at the situation. The hotel seems to be scamming people.

I left early, I couldn't stay here more than one night. The room had a stench that stayed on my clothes. There were no amenities.

Everything was great, we stayed tues- Fri.. my father-in-law was in INOVA for 3 days great place for being close by, the staff at check in was so nice!! but… the poor sleeper sofa has seen better days. Thankfully we only slept on it for 1 night so my father could get a good nights sleep in the big comfortable bed before his surgery the next morning! The only thing my husband and I could do was laugh the whole night! Just needed a little more padding!! Other than the laughs from that, we had a great stay!! Thank you!!

My experience was ok until I saw I had been charged twice and two different rates.The reservation that I made through hotels.com, that was discounted, was not honored. When I checked into the hotel on Sunday evening January 25, 2026, the associate that worked at the counter pulled my reservation up but I was charged a higher different amount that was quoted from hotels.com. Also the next morning I had two different charges in my bank account from Extended Stay Hotel. I went to the front desk on Monday January 26, 2026 and spoke with the male associate and he claimed that I was charged twice because I had mad two reservations, I kindly let him know that I didn’t and that I only made one reservation and then he said yeah it’s one here from hotels.com and continued to say oh but I can refund you a payment back. The associate charged me the higher amount not the amount quoted to me from hotels.com.

Location was convenient for my visit. Room was good size. Breakfast was a joke - oatmeal packets only. No juice, no protein, no fruit. The bathroom was poorly kept, the counter was badly stained so it always looked dirty. The shower curtain wasn’t long enough, so water soaked the floor every time someone showered. The kitchen stove didn’t work - one burner did nothing, the other was very slow to heat up (ten minutes). Made cooking in room impossible.

there was nothing that I did like. This is a narrative of what i did NOT like: saw a rat at front door when we went to check in; no mention in booking of no elevator for second floor rooms so we had to carry our own luggage up the steps late at night as two women in business attire and heels. When we asked if there was a first floor room, we were told we could not have that. Evidence of bedbugs or some kind of mold on the window shades, the shower tiling and surfaces were absolutely disgusting. Just grateful that we were working so much and did not have to be in the room hardly at all. That said, we were eager to come back to our room for the second night to get some sleep only to find that housekeeping had not come through. Completely disappointing experience all around. Will not be staying at one of these hotels ever again. see above

Don’t settle for the first room if it isn’t what you need! We were so grateful for this port in the storm and kind staff. The cost and location were ideal for what we needed.

Also had other shady unknown “guests” smoking marijuana and hanging out in the common areas outside. Needless to say we quickly checked out of this dump!! I would never send ANYONE to this property. Marriott should be ASHAMED to call this property theirs!!!!

The staff was great. The elevator was in need of some work and the other elevator never worked the whole time I was there. Room keys needed to be rebooted every 3 days….? But the employees were always ready to help in anyway possible.

All of my luggage will now be outside in case of a hitchhiker. We stayed here due to its close proximity to inova hospital and it was quite disgusting. I complained about the infestation and wasn’t offered a refund either.

We were unaware prior to checking in that there was no elevator on-site! We aren't able to climb stairs, let alone pull suitcases up them. After checking in, we then found that we couldn't stay at the hotel and that there were no ground floor rooms available. We had to leave and book elsewhere. We've never been to a hotel before that doesn't have an elevator! Although we found afterwards that the Expedia listing does indicate that there is no elevator, we still want the reservation to be refunded!

If you're traveling with dogs, this is the place to go. It’s extremely quiet compared to many other rooms with guests with pets. The kitchen and bathrooms work but need urgent renovation.

This property felt unsafe. A vehicle parked near #142 blasted music for 20 minutes. Later, there was a fight next door! There were hollering and banging noises. This went on for 20 minutes. I called the front desk twice for both incidents. Later, I finally got some rest. I will never book at this property again!!

Be aware all rooms are exterior doors. Room was reasonably clean, however, all furnishings and even construction seemed old and cheaply made. Door did not feel secure. I would not recommend this location. The staff I encountered at the desk were very polite.

If you are looking for a place to stay for just a couple of days and then leave, here is the perfect spot within its price range. The room itself is very well equipped and the water pressure is awesome. Its very quiet and the neighborhood is also very safe.

It had snowed over a week before I arrived. The parking lot was only partially plowed, the sidewalks were horrible and there was ice everywhere. I almost fell 3 different times because of the ice walking back and forth from my vehicle.

I requested and paid for a double queen studio but received a single studio. The hotel was sold out and they could not give me what we paid for.

The desk clerk was friendly, attentive, and wanted to be helpful, but English is her second language and I struggled to understand anything she said; mostly didn’t. I gave up trying.

When they went to their room and tried to take a shower, they found that the bathtub would not drain at all. They then went to the front desk to request a room change, but the receptionist told them the hotel was fully booked and no rooms were available. Furthermore, since it was after 11 PM, she said she couldn’t do anything and would have to call a mechanic the next morning, which was pointless since they were staying for just one night and leaving the next morning. When my parents told me about the situation, I searched for another available room at the same hotel and found available rooms. It was clear the receptionist had lied, and her attitude was rude and aggressive. She even threw the credit card on the table when handling the situation. I cannot believe this situation and very disappointed experience.

The room is extremely outdated and smelled musty!!! The tub area was rust-stained and the tile area by the tub was chipped. The toilet was extremely difficult to flush and the towels were stained as well!.

Bobbie at the front desk is the best!!! She answered every question and solved any problem I had. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

The picture online was way different than the property was advertising

Facility and surround area are dirty. The room linens and carpet are old. No elevator to get on upper floor. Breakfast is just grab and go. Does not worth the money paid for the room

Room smelled like cigarettes, bedding with a lot of hair strands, dirty toilet, "breakfast included" it was only 2 coffee jars with creamer and chocolate muffins... and $120 a night 😞 👎

They offer complimentary "breakfast" from 6am-9:30. They should rephrase it to complimentary morning snacks. There was coffee, hot water for instant oatmeal, granola bars & packaged muffins. But I one shouldn't expect much better for the low nightly rates they charge. We just thought it would be nicer because of the location. Fairfax, VA isn't known for subpar establishments. On another good note, the front desk attendant was very sweet and nice.

Bedding apeared to be clean and room was in decent condition but we did see a couple of small roaches in the room. There was also water maintenance requiring the water to be shut off which was not a problem. However it shut off earlier than the time communicated so we were not all able to shower. The free breakfast was grab n go instant oatmeal, nutigrain bars and prepackaged muffins. It is walking distance from the hospital, grocery store, restaurants and a fancy shopping area which was convenient.

Hotel only added to that we are 76 n 84 yrs old and in our elder yrs we didn’t expect this hotel to be sub par below expectations. Never ever again will we stay at Extended Stay America again!
