Had to deal with insects and leaking water and fruit flies, but staff was pleasant and efficient

Affordable price. One night only — so my experience was too limited to fully evaluate the hotel. I chose to stay here because I wanted to stop by Guitar Center at Fairfax Corner on my way to Charlottesville, VA, after flying into Dulles from McAllen, TX in the evening. Compared to other hotels near Guitar Center, this one was slightly more affordable at the time. Note that entrances are accessible only by turning right from both Monument Drive and Fair Lakes Parkway.

There were roaches everywhere.

Observed dead insects (roaches) on room 265 behind kitchen drawer. Several surfaces had accumulation of debris and dust under fridges on rooms 252, 263, 265. Additionally, stove burners from rooms 208 and 252 presented accumulation of material that needs to be cleaned. Observation: Presence of mice, rats, reptiles, insects or other vectors in the establishment. Observed dead bedbug on room 171 next to the bed headboard. Evidence of roach activity (dead and alive) on room 265. Specifically, activity was noticed behind kitchen drawer and pullout bed. Evidence of mice droppings on pullout bed from room 263. These are public information by the county.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and always find it comfortable.

Did not realize that the items for the kitchen use were at the front desk and we had to contact the front desk to collect them. Overall, the check-in was quick, front desk agent was very friendly and explain where we were staying, and internet access. The room was nice and cool upon entering it. One day in the evening I noticed three to four little black ants coming from underneath the wall from the bathroom. We did not call the front desk, because we killed them and did not see any more ants. Great price and it allowed pets to stay, even greeted our little one, that means a lot.

Our first room was trashed, there were empty containers and the sheets were left a mess (clearly had not been cleaned), then our second room smelled horrible. Smelled so strongly of must, but we tried to give it a chance and fall asleep. Shortly after, we found small bite marks on our legs which became horribly itchy - suggesting bed bugs. We left immediately. However, what was arguably most disappointing, was our experience with management. After having to follow up twice to get ahold of management, we were told we would receive a call on Monday. Today I received a call where I was accused of lying, stating what I experienced was false because they didn't find any bed bugs. Which was odd because one of my previously phone calls with an employee, who stated, "oh there aren't bed bugs, only ants in there." When stating this, the manager said, "Oh well you didn't include that in your statement, so I don't know what to tell you." The manager continued to speak over me and raise his voice, and was clearly disinterested in us even trying to find a solution to the matter. That manager is just a great representation to the "amazing" stay you'll have there.

The property was outdated. I didn’t even know where they served breakfast. We just wanted to get out of there when we got up.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the 24 hr emergency vet. We traveled five hours. I texted them to tell them we wouldn’t be there til after midnight. It was 3:20 am we checked in. It was the LONGEST ever. The guy said we didn’t have a reservation even though we had the itinerary #. He typed and typed and typed. We finally got to the room it was in need of updates. The TV didn’t work, the blow dryer was missing a piece. The shower curtain was hung too high and the water just came out onto the floor. Even though we asked at check in for a noon check out, two different people began banging on the door at 11:20. They were going around with a clipboard. We did see heavy police presence so it might not be the safest. We didn’t have the breakfast.

Located across the street from my meeting Beyond worn; key didn’t work after carrying my suitcase up the stairs but to then walk into the bathroom that someone had forgotten to flush…then you look around to seen burned laminate countertops and light bulbs full of dust. You get what you pay for so all my fault!

The room was infested with roaches, and the room smelled really bad of marijuana.

checkin and checkout and staff friendliness. No sleep first two nights, got room right next to lobby and the door to lobby was right outside our room and banged all night and all morning. When renting that room ("last rent") they should lock that door and put a note to use door right around corner. so customers can get sleep. Moved after second night to room 308 and the TV didn't work and about 1/2" of daylight under door. Asked for TV to be fixed and was assured it would be. After being out all day, came back and TV didn't work. TERRIBLE

Mgr. also has been very helpful and couteous Overall all staff members including Ms Sushma have been a pleasure to work with There should be one automatic opening door in the facility for handicapped people and for trying to bring the big carts in Though if the staff was around they were helpful with the doors

I liked the kitchen facilities as well as the bathroom amenities. The recliner chair was also a nice touch. And I appreciate the Bible included in the room. Breakfast was lackluster.

It was located close to the attractions. I will be seeing tomorrow The staff, Eugene, at the front desk was not helpful at all, and was actually quite rude to me. My card was double charged and I wanted a receipt printed from him or an invoice and he said no he couldn’t do that.

I requested a refund due to the fact that we left within 5 minutes of arriving, after we saw multiple roaches in the bathroom. I took a video of one of them climb on the wall trying to hide unde the toilet paper holder. There was also a huge stain on the carpet right inside the door. I have never been I a hotel so incredibly dirty.

Seen homeless person charging phone and smoking in front of the lobby while sitting on a bench. Had to wait a whole day for clean sheets and was told I can only get 1 roll of toilet paper at a time which it’s inconvenient when you’re staying there for a few weeks and I have to be making trips every other day for toiletries. The room was outdated but ok for a quick stay. It says pet friendly but to me it should say “allow pets” because there’s nothing there for dogs… not a gated area or dog bags/trash cans on site! Very little green area for dogs and to me that’s not at all pet friendly. There’s shopping and groceries nearby and that was nice.

The toilet didn’t work, I tried to change from a two day stay to a one day, and the gentleman said sure then charged my card for the second night. Online it looked really nice but in person it was gloomy and depressing, I also had to wait 30 mins to even get my card for my room and while waiting by myself he was on his phone on tiktok

I did not appreciate guests smoking on the stairway, a guest daisy from me appears to be a permenate guest had their door open and smoking, countertop around the stove had 3 bare areas the size between a quarter to a 59 cent piece. Rooms smelt musty, did not find the staff knowledgeable.

My stay was terrible. Check in was fine. Found my building and started taking my stuff inside. Power wash is what first came to mind as the concrete and just everything around was just filthy like it was never cleaned. LIKE EVER Room was literally 85 degrees when I went in. I was leaving so I set it to 68 and left. Came back room was cooled down. Went to take a shower but I guess I should of told the roaches cause apparently it was their turn in there so I had wait. Tried to watch tv but it kept cutting off. Not like when the damn hotel menu was running but just when you tried to watch tv. Told the guy at the desk the following day and he said you have to smack the back of the tv and that i needed to bring him the dead roaches. I actually had one that I killed with a towel but didnt think I should bring it. I knew from his response this must be a common complaint. Took everything out of my bags and checked for roaches and then checked out. I have stayed at other Extended Stays with no issue along with other hotels but I have never stayed in one with roaches and all of the tvs worked. Dont stay here. You deserve better.

It was fine for a night. Not as cozy as one Extended hotel we stayed at before in Connecticut but it was fine. Wish we didn’t have to call the front desk just to get cups , utensils, etc and I saw a couple of fruit flies in the bathroom but overall it did the job for a one night.

The exterior of the units especially the stairwells need a power washing as they are unsightly..... very low water pressure in the shower rm 268. Bugs in room, remote had some kinds of gel substance in it, carpets and floors were sticky and the linens were not changed before we arrived. Asked for new linens and they told me I had to come get them and change bed myself.

I shared my issues with the front desk staff the morning of check out, and she was very kind and understanding. Since I booked through Expedia she could not refund/compensate me for the troubles, but said she would send me a voucher in the mail. I don't really feel this particular building should be $100 night, until it is renovated.

My family traveled from Washington state to attend my son's graduation. I booked two rooms for them - one for my elderly parents, who have difficultly with stairs, and one for my step brother, who is on crutches from a broken ankle. When they arrived, my parents were given a room on the 2nd floor of a building. There are no elevators. On top of that, their room had cockroaches crawling all over the place. When the requested a new room, they were told I had only booked one room.

I'm given a room right by the dumpsters next to the highway. I walk into the non-smoking room, it smells like an ashtray. I immediately return to the 'lobby' to request a different room. A friendly Sabir tells me that sometimes people smoke outside with the door propped open. He basically tried to argue with me about the severity of the smell he has not smelled for himself. I asked him if he wanted to go with me to the room to smell for himself. I then reminded him I also asked for "Quiet" - and politely asked if there were other options. He moved me to a much better room. This better room is fairly standard for this hotel. Providing zero privacy - there are no sheer curtains - so you choose daylight and eyeballs, or darkness and privacy. The included 'breakfast' is a joke - literally 3 packets of oatmeal and sometimes a potential muffin. The entire kitchen is empty - if you want anything, you have to request it and trust they have sanitized it. There is no dishwasher or oven; no dishes or cutlery. The towels were dirty/stained. Fridge door on wrong side; Cabinets do not align well. I'd say housekeeping does a good job, but the maintenance budget is not good. The walkways on the entire property are disgusting. There were many unattended children playing in the parking lot. A methed-mouthed lady asked me for money as I was exiting my car. This property has many opportunities to improve.

The place just looks poorly needs to be reconditioned. The tile in the bathroom looks like somebody painted it with some kind of epoxy paint. There were ants in the bathroom. The microwave is all rusty and gross looking and the cabinets under the sink. The hinges are loose and all beat up and the shower curtain rod is all rusty

Comfortable, and met our need. The desk agent was able to put us on the first floor, which was appropriated. The room shows its age, and could use an update. Water pressure was not the best, but shower was hot.

Only was going to give me one key card and then it appeared I was asking her to go out of her way when I asked for one for my wife…no one to greet customers when they came 8n, had a note to dial 0. Breakfast was correct and a breakfast bar or oatmeal….i think the caliber of customer staying at the facility is driving the poor service.

The bed was a cheap bed and soooo uncomfortable! I could smell marijuana when passing rooms. It was definitely being used IN the rooms because no one was outside smoking. Uncarpeted floor. The room was cold and the heat wouldn’t stay set at what I put it at and would randomly turn off on me. I stayed at the same hotel 3 years ago and it’s definitely gone downhill. I won’t be back.

Location was good. We didnt get the room I booked. According to them expedia sent the roon information. I viewed their screen and they had. I booked a two bedroom and they sent a king bedroom.

Bugs in the room, room was half clean. Bathroom looks like someone left lipstick on counter or nail polish in the bathroom that was covered up by hand towels. Will never come by here.

The inside was beautiful…the drain cover in the bathroom shower wouldn’t stay up.overall, a great stay…just didn’t feel safe. Loved the look of the room!

Area close to Fair Oaks Mall BUT room smelly, front steps and hall entry are duty.

I appreciated the quickness and nice the staff was.

Good location. Dated decor. Clean room. Staff had a flat affect. No smiles or any other expression. Lack of positive helpfulness. Told us all the things we couldn’t do instead of what we could do to extend our stay.

The hotel is in a great location - next to a mall and plenty of shopping centers and restaurants. Easy access to Rt. 50 and I-66. It’s an average, run of the mill hotel. If you’re there on a weekend you can expect other customers to throw a party, the smell of cigarettes and marijuana, and loud music. I wouldn’t stay there again because of this.

The pictures on Expedia do not accurately reflect the property. The air quality was horrible and there were bugs in the bed. The front desk was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience but the bugs are unacceptable. The room was very old and I switched twice and all the all the rooms were very old and smelled moldy

You get what you pay for, middle of the road price wise, shower was a bit iffy turning on but got full pressure after a minute, old stains on floor but bedding fresh and clean feeling.

Conveniently located but bad customer services . Tiny Reception area , breakfast is minimal. They frequently run out of kitchen utensils that is annoying.

The receptionist at the counter was really nasty . She doesn’t know how to behave with customers . The property does not provide cooking utensils unless you ask them and they will say they have run out of the item .

I loved the design of our room. The king bed was comfortable, the amenities in the bathroom were good but the shower curtain was not so clean. The kitchenette is adequate and the front office provided us with cutlery, dishes, and cooking utensils as advertised. The gentleman checking me in was very friendly and helpful.

Like? Cheapest in area. Dislikes? No trash can in room. Air conditioning sounds like a truck starting. WiFi signal so weak I had to use my phone as a hot spot. Person at checkin ignored me to finish inputting a list and then taking a phone call. Oh yeah, what looks like bullet holes next to the door handle along with other holes in the plaster.

The first room we got the AC didn’t work, it was very hot but they moved us very quickly and smoothly into a room with working AC which was very nice. The cleanliness wasn’t the best. The bathroom wall beside the toilet looked like it had crusted over vomit splashes and it smelt foul and sour. There was also dead bugs in the corners of the rooms. There was a huge gap underneath the door that a cricket was able to crawl under, into our room and chirp throughout the night. I almost wanted to not stay the last night and cut the lost because of how gross it felt and smelled in the room.

The worst experience ever. I checked in this hotel on Tuesday this week. The room was filthy as hell like it is never been cleaned before. I woke up in the morning with tons of red bumps covering my body as in the photo I'm attaching. When I asked to switch my room next day, the service was very poor and the guy at the front desk gave me hard time to change the room. It turned out now that this is caused by bed bugs my family doctor told after looking at them. Bottom line, avoid this hotel at all costs!!!
