Definitely a mid to low-grade hotel. But very much affordable.

Great price and location, loved having a kitchen in the suite. My bath linens were not clean and neither was the tub. There were strands of hair in and around the tub. And I also had strands of hair attached to my towel that I thought was clean. The room had a weird smell to it that over time went away.

I stayed at Candlewood Suites for 10 days and had a really good experience overall. The suite was roomy and having a kitchenette plus a sofa bed made the stay super comfortable. Parking was easy, and I liked having access to the fitness room and self-service laundry. The place was quiet and convenient, and I didn’t run into any issues during my stay. Only small thing was you could sometimes smell cooking when walking in the hallway besides some of the furniture need paint toch-up but it wasn’t a big deal.

The room was like being at home in my own place - very comfortable.

I really enjoyed my stay. It made everything so convenient from washing machines to a well equipped kitchen. It's clean, comfortable, and modern.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was very clean and well-maintained, and I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived. The staff were very friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The kitchen equipment was also complete and very clean, which made the stay even more convenient and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Victor was pleasant and checked us in quickly. Room was clean and had all we needed. We onky stayed one night and really didn't need the kitchen but it looked like it had all someone would need.

The hotel were wonderful. However, the entire hotel had a disturbing odor. in my room, the toilet did not flush right and as well, the refrigerator had a horrible smell to it. Great location other than that I would not recommend.

This property sitting in very nice area, however, this property needs update and cleaning services. This is a self service kind of extended stay, you have to clean your own room and take out your trash.

Second night it snowed and nobody attempted to shovel and I fell shoveling out my own parking spot and again wheeling my suitcase through the parking lot to the door. The next morning, still nothing was shoveled. The walkways were covered in slush and ice.

The only negative is the lock on our bathroom door was stuck so we couldn't shut it properly. Again since it was only a night we weren't bothered but it should be looked at.

Excellent location in the heart of Fairfax within 5 minutes of Fair Oaks Mall, Fairfax Corner, Fair Lakes Shopping Center, etc. The weekend manager Vanessa took special care of us during check-in to make sure we were able to get into our room early.

Overall, it was a good stay. I chose this hotel due to its proximity to a location I intended to visit the next morning. The room was clean and comfortable. Despite the hotel being very full with construction crews, it was quiet when I checked in, and I was not disturbed in the morning. Candlewood suites offers a nice place to stay for several days. We appreciated the kitchen set up, the microwave, popcorn, the ice machine that worked, and dishes stocked. We liked the little store and also the ability to “check out” other small appliances and games.

Good value for me. Liked that it was an extended stay type. Good to have a real fridge. The AC was set to 68 and the room was quite warm. But if I turned it down it did cool. They could fix the elevator button which was pushed in and flapping. The microwave light was out so check that stuff every once in a while. Overall good for me for a price.

The hallways and other shared indoor spaces were outdated and had a strong fragrant air. However, this didn't impact my room at all. The staff were helpful, but did seem understaffed. Overall, I would stay here again.

First time staying in a IHG property and it was nice. Mainly stayed there because of family. I usually stay a Hilton property's, which provide a morning breakfast and is included.

The bathroom shower knobs horrible state of condition. No tub shower curtain, water all over floor after shower. The ceiling of room has water damage and it looks like it's peeling. Needless to say, while I did shower there, I ended up not staying n the room to sleep, but went to a friends to sleep in their guest room. I went to check out, no one at front desk, called to check out. My stay was a Saturday evening. The location is in a nice area from what I can tell. I like that it's tucked away from the hustle and bustle. There is plenty of parking. There is an onsite gym and laundry facility, both of which I did not use. They offer wifi with the stay, which I did not use. They offer free coffee in the morning near the front desk check in, I did not use.

Toilet has constant drip, so had to sleep with bathroom door shut to try to drown out the constant filling. They had a scent plugin in the room that was overwhelming, so I had to unplug it. They also put us near the lobby, so a lot of foot traffic. Maid came by to rush us out at 915, when there is a 12 pm checkout.

This place is a hidden Gem. Affordable, quiet, clean and in a great area. No random fees at check-in, great quality products to use such as hand soap, lotion, towels, etc. Amenities were awesome! I loved having a kitchenette. I’ll definitely be back.

I then ordered a meal for delivery from a local restaurant, ate, then unexpectedly fell back asleep, exhausted from traveling. When I woke up a few hours later, there were ants swarming my bedside table, where I'd left an iced tea that had a lid on it. Then I found an ant running across the sheets. I immediately checked out.

There was no continental breakfast. I paid way too much for this room. When I looked at hotels .com it had the price for 82.00 a night. that is what this hotel is worth. I booked this hotel for its proximity. I was not pleased. I did not get any of the discounts and I felt that there was fraudulent price gauging involved. I would like some one to text me to rectify this matter.

It’s nice to have a kitchenette, but some of the rooms smell strongly of previous guests cooking. And it should be noted that many of the guests are longer term tenants and the sound insulation in the doors isn’t great.

I've been staying here 5 years in a row when I come to Washington, D.C. The rooms are always clean. The front desk clerk for the weekends, Vanessa, it's always friendly and helpful should you need anything.

Overall a decent stay. The staff was great. The property is a little run down and needs an update. Room was a good size and clean. Kitchenette was nice and had a lot of items to use. For a $154 room though, I was a bit disappointed. Here's why: There was no ice machine that I could find for our stay. The sofa bed had a small twin sized mattress when I believe the listing said queen. The in-wall fan that was supposed to pull in AC air into the bedroom was not functional in our room. Bathroom needs an exhaust fan to pull out the moisture from showers.

I would not recommend this place.

This was a great place to stay! Very safe location and friendly staff and very resourceful. Victor was an amazing host and he was so knowledgeable about the facilities and area around. Definitely would visit this property again. We had a great stay!!!

The property is a bit long in the tooth and could use updating. I found the colors dreary. My suite was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The refrigerator fan rattled noisily, if I stayed a second night I would have unplugged it or moved rooms. The suite was very roomy with a kitchenette, soda recliner, large table for working and eating. The bedroom was small but very functional. I would stay again because it is a great value for the money.

Everything is good except for the water outlet is very tiny in the washroom sink. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Close drive to Washington DC. Spacious and clean room. Friendly staff

I thought the lobby smelled bad but then I got to my room which seemed UNBELIEVABLY BAD. Sheets were dirty. Just disgusting.

The suite was a nice size with a separate bedroom, a large bathroom, nice living room/kitchen combo. The bedding was comfortable and the block out drapes were nice! The front desk was not very helpful and there was no room service for a 3 day stay. The hotel was also not in walking distance to any stores.

Had to put key in and out about four times each time I wanted to get into my room. Other than that the stay was great

I also appreciated the hotel's attention to cleanliness and safety. While the hotel is outdated & needs quite a bit of upgrades, it was clean & safe.

We went to a play at Ford’s theatre and to avoid the long drive home on New Year’s Eve, we stayed at Candlestick suites. The stay was great, room was very clean, bed comfortable!

We think it would be great if you served breakfast.

This was an awesome stay, I would definitely stay here again. I was attending a concert nearby, I’ve stayed in multiple places and this was one of the best ones. The staff was friendly and my room was clean and quiet. Parking was easy and included in the price. I usually like to be left alone so this was perfect. Will be back for sure!

Entire hallway & room smelled of cigarettes despite the smoke free signs up. My room (230) was tucked away at the end of a hall, I had to keep air circulating all night, the odor of old cigarettes and mildew (?) wrecked my sinus. Also, not very quiet at all - right next to a staircase, door banging & people stepping all night, 1AM, 2AM, 3AM, etc. Sheets were itchy and rough.

Only stayed for one night. Staff is friendly, room is clean, but the lobby area itself is cold (not temperature) and unwelcoming. Location is right next to Fair Oaks Mall, plenty of restaurants within a short drive.

Hotel can use a good cleaning.
