The place is clean and there’s variety of food to choose for breakfast. The only thing is the attitude of the front desk when we checked inn. He was a little bit rude when he welcomed us. His face looks grumpy, not smiling. Anyway, probably he’s having a bad day that day. But overall, still going to recommend the place.

The breakfast was pretty good. Lots of seating and the staff was nice. The lighting over the bathroom mirror needs to be brighter. Other than that, everything was good.

Complete jerk at check in who claimed "I can't do anything for you" to get my mom (who can't walk) a room on the ground floor (there's no elevator), even though I booked a handicapped-accessible room at booking. Raised his voice at me in response to my frustration. When I mentioned reporting him up the ADA, he magically found 2 rooms on the ground floor. Just uneccesary jerkiness

Free and convenient parking. Chose this location as convenient to the Metro Vienna Orange line transit. Full breakfast with eggs, grits, waffles, etc. was fresh and good. Onsite coin operated washing machine and dryer was convenient. Coin operated laundry detergent dispenser was out of order.

The room was dirty and had bugs. The Assistant Manager said the Hotel Manager would look into the matter and call me back, but I never received a call.

Have to come up to my job a few times a month for a few. Looked online and wasnt surpised at the prices at other hotels. Found this one and DID NOT read that it was outside rooms. Was very nervous about that. Check in was fine. Got to my room and wiped down everything so not sure how clean it was.

Room was clean. Bathroom seemed to have been renovated. Biggest complaint is hotels.com says pool is open til 10 and it closed at 8. Doesn't open until 11:30 which stunk because that was a big reason I chose this hotel. Also, no elevator which is stated in the info but I missed it. Breakfast was good. Lots of hot food and lots of tables for guests.

After checking into a first-floor room, I immediately found two cockroaches near the entrance. I took photos and asked for another room. At first, the front desk said no rooms were available, but after seeing the photos, they moved me to a room on the third floor. Obviously, cockroaches can exist anywhere, but I did not want them sharing my room. Because of that, the stay was not completely satisfying. Still, the room itself was decent overall. The bathroom water pressure and drainage were good. There was no “Do Not Disturb” tag, so housekeeping cleaned the room while I was out. I also lost my parking tag on the second day, but fortunately had no parking issues during the stay. On the final Saturday night, the neighboring room was very loud after midnight, which was frustrating. Checkout was easy, but Sunday breakfast started at 7:00 AM, so I could not eat before leaving. I wish weekend breakfast also started at 6:30 AM. Despite the issues, the location and price were good enough that I would probably stay here again.

This place was absolutely disgusting. The coach was soaking wet. The whole room was damp. The sheets had stains all over them. It was such a complete waste of money. I couldn't sleep at all, woke up early and left. Never EVER again.

Staff was by himself but he was helpful we were able to cancel the room and got refund. The place is not really good place to stay. TV remote was not working properly it’s like a motel place.

Slightly aged, room was warm and had a bit of that hot hotel room smell...once the room cool down (large window facing the sun), the sultry smell went away and the room become comfortable and did not smell (no hotel room is clean). I had a good night's sleep and a very nice breakfast in the morning. Would stay at this BW again for the breakfast alone. Front desk was professional and customer friendly.

Amazing resort feeling at this hotel but sadly pool wasn’t open which I had known. Very clean and only downfall was the horrible dial up internet speed which made me feel like I’m staying in farm land. FYI Internet speed was at the most 5mbps

This is an old-style (60s era?) building, so I was ready to be disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised that once I was in the room it was clean and comfortable. The only downside I found was that there is no elevator between floors. You may find it difficult to carry bags upstairs (or down) if they're heavy.

I cancelled on a Monday for a Wednesday stay, but they did not accept my cancelation and still charged me. Read above comment.

When we arrived we took all our luggage inside the lobby and parked the vehicle. Once we signed in we realized you cannot get to your room without going outside. Of course our room was in the back of the building so we had to pack everything back in the vehicle and drive around the building. Other than that everything was good.

This hotel is actually a motel, and it needs a serious makeover. However, the breakfast, and the mattress were really good.

We reserved three rooms over four days. The rooms are dated, but very clean. The bathrooms have all been renovated. House keeping came daily and was very good. We each requested an additional blanket as what was on the bed was too light (mid May).

Checked into the rooms (requested joining rooms). The 2nd room my wife and 3 of the kids were sleeping in smelt like smoke. We booked 2 non smoking rooms. My wife has Adam and so does my youngest daughter. No other room close to us was available so we made it work by switching since I also had 2 kids sleeping I. The room with me. We are a family of 7. I was very disappointed. When reported it I was told it would be investigated. There is a smoking station/ashtray for smokers literally less than 6 feet from the entrance of the non smoking rooms We will not be staying there again!

Room was clean. Sofa bed was awful in king room. Pillows were hard and lumpy. Location was good for our needs and breakfast was appreciated. Coffee was piping hot.

The staff were nice. The free breakfast was good. The property was clean, however, the room smelled of stale smoke, the tub looked unclean, the sheets had tears in it and the bed’s quality felt very old. It is an older property but I don’t mind that. It’s the issues I had with the room itself that’ll prevent me from returning. It was close in proximity to EagleBank Arena which I appreciated but not for a return visit of the need arises.

My stay was great, was 9nly for 1 night to attend an event. Only think is the remote to tv stopped working. But no major issues.

The complementary Full Breakfast was excellent. It is something that reminded us of how nice it used to be when starying at a full-service hotel. We look forward to coming back during the warm months to use the large outdoor pool and lounging amenities.

Our second stay at this location. The room is dated, but clean. The beds are comfortable and the room is well apponted. The best part of our stay is always the breakfast buffet.

The Best Western in Fairfax is clean, helpful, and run by a delightful family and staff. I recommend it.

Parking lot needs attention as the surface has definitely seen better days. Also, the folliage around the parking areas should be trimmed back a little to keepbit away from cars.

This property is in the heart of Fairfax City but tucked back from main road. Quiet and clean. Basics met. How ever bedside lamp broken and alarm clock didn't work, but I travel with my own. I was on third floor walk up - rough with luggage. I have rebooked another stay and I requested a drive up location as I am older and stairs with luggage is rough! Breakfast was very well done.

Very affordable place for our teip to Washington. Decent breakfast, great room and size is spacious. Upon arrival we were offered a room which smelled weed, the room was exchanged but this was extra hassle. Also they have drinking water filler available. Overall pretty satisfied with our stay.

Nothing I booked this hotel expecting at least a basic, comfortable stay, but I couldn’t even make it through the night. The moment I walked into the room, something felt off. There was an overwhelming amount of air freshener in the air and it was pretty obvious it was being used to hide something. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long to figure out what. The smell was coming from the sofa, and it was honestly disgusting. It smelled like someone had actually had an accident on it, and instead of cleaning or replacing it, they just tried to cover it up. Once I realized that, there was no way I could stay. I ended up leaving immediately and booking somewhere else. Really disappointing experience, and definitely not what I expected for the price. I hope management takes cleanliness more seriously, because this was unacceptable.

One night stay after a day in DC. Clean room, hot breakfast and safe parking lot, everything we needed.

Spacious, pretty trees, cleaning personnel, shower pressure , the breakfast, and check in and out was easy . The couch in our room (216) had ripped arm material and was worn out. The desk looked liked it was very bowed and about to collapse.

The air didn't work in the room the second night we stayed and there were bees in our room. When I said something to the front desk their response was, sorry about that. There were teenagers kicking doors at 11pm and there were several complaints. I would not recommend.

Sketchy. Regret booking. Spend $25 more for a decent hotel. It felt like a motel from a movie. The lobby is fine then you drive around to a street entrance. Super run down and outdated. I was hesitant to sit on the little couch. Didn’t bother to see breakfast. Housekeeping loudly knocked twice as I was trying to sleep in the morning before I checked out.

The breakfast is the best part, every time!!! The staff is super friendly. Parking is plenty. There are ice machines and a water bottle filling station in the lobby.

It was very helpful in getting the needs done for my stay. I had everything I needed in the room. The television worked fine to occupy my pastime. I had some issues with my tub backing up, but once the stopper was removed it cleared slowly.

Room was ok, the mattress was worn down on one side so you felt like you were going to fall off. The ice machine was broken and was told has been broken for 3 weeks. Tried calling front desk but no one answered, finally went down and us plus more people were waiting on attendant but no one showed. Finally after saying something someone popped there head out, phone was taken off hook that’s why no one was answering. The mirror in the room was taped together at the bottom in both places and the towls we had, had a weird blue stain on them. Location was great though

Some interesting characters at this hotel. Nowhere was it stated that it was basically a motel. Holes in the shower curtain and someone’s toenail on the carpet. A moth was also in the room right while I checked in. Sketchy

Do not stay here. I am waiting on corporate to contact me. The manager Vijay is unprofessional and has some vendetta against women. I asked for a receipt or confirmation for a refund I requested due to them NOT changing the sheet, and he told me he is not obligated to give me a receipt. He screamed at me and told me to “get the hell out of his lobby” for absolutely no reason, and told me I was not a customer because I paid through a third-party. I have never been treated so terribly at a stay. Do not recommend for anyone. Unsanitary.

When we checked in they had no key so the desk attendant had to let us in. I will say that when we returned they had resolved the issue. The room was clean enough. The facility was close to GMU where we were going. It was good for an overnight stay.

The property is dated, I came during winter and it was very difficult to park and walk around the facility. But the worst part was the hotel clerk on 1/30/26 around 11pm was rude and disrespectful. He changed his attitude when he saw us paying with a Platinum AMEX. I’m never coming back!

The property did not do well with the snow removal at all. That goodness for their maintenance team member who helped me the first time I was stuck. I got stuck 3 times.

Great location with access to downtown Fairfax and fairly close to George Mason University. Rooms are spacious and clean with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Comfortable bed.

The mini fridge was so noisy in the room that I had to use earplugs. Finally, the walls have no sound protection at all. Breakfast was fairly good.

The staff were attentive, everything looked clean, breakfast was very nice, area seemed safe, it was quiet. We had two adjoining rooms. Both fridges didn’t work and one of them smelled bad. Also, and this is our one big complaint- one of rooms smelled smoky and they were both non-smoking rooms. We’d like to give this place another try because it was reasonably priced and otherwise a really nice place. But l hate a smoky room!

Solid stay for the price. Clean, professional, the little market where they have food, is small but at least has small food items you can pick up. Didn’t wake up in time for the breakfast.

This hotel is fine . The air conditioner is noisy and you can hear people talking in the rooms . We heard people talking until 3am. This hotel is old but it was ok for us.

I book a king room with sofa bed when I arrive they told me we have only two beds room. And I arrive late in the night so I don’t have time to cancel and search for other hotel. That’s not acceptable

It's a good..a decent place to stay. Clean room, no smoking area, clean towel, decent toiletries (they provide soap bar, and mini shampoo/conditioner/lotion). The best thing of course, they offer free breakfast daily. The staffs are also friendly. The weaknesses ..some equipment in the room did not really work, like the hairdryer or the stand lamp and the cord. Also, I had to go to the front desk when I went back to my room every evening because the room key didn't work.

We checked in and the man at check in gave us a key for room 140. We unloaded our car after a 6.5 hr drive just wanted to relax. Get to the room, open it up and it wasn’t even cleaned. The beds were a mess, food and plates on the desk area. Dirty and nasty. So I walked back to the desk and he said, he’d “ try to get it cleaned “ to wait 20-30 minutes to see if the cleaner could clean. We waited 10-15 minutes in front of door. No one came so we loaded the car again and went to the mall. I was quite upset!! I told the lady when we checked out the next morning, she could care less. Do better!!

Requested twice to fix bathroom light and it was still not done when I checked out. Property is outdated like a 1980's motel. Staff was friendly. Location was a little heard to find but close to interstate exit.

Our room was comfortable. The walls are thin enough that we could hear a lot of noise through the adjoining room which kept us awake until our neighbor finally went to sleep.

Is a good hotel, nice rooms, good location, what i didn’t like was the matresses, to hard for my liking, i recommend it, but be aware of the matresses, if you like soft ones, this chain dont have them, i have stayed in the same chain hotels in other cities, and all have the same hard mattresses

Staff was friendly but could've been more transparent: Couple in front of me were of mature age, and there is no elevator to get to the rooms; front desk booked their rooms same day it seems, but did not mention the no elevator available until they were ready to go to their room, and thy had quite a few bags; no help offered.... back to me: (Rm320) No Bath Towels; Toilet was flushing on its own all night; Heat Lamp would not shut off in bathroom; 2am room next to me were noisy. I did not get a good nights rest...

My room was very clean and fully equipped with towels, toilet paper, and bedding. The management provided me with 2 beds and I only had to pay for a single bed.

What I liked: The location is convenient and well-connected, and the pricing is quite reasonable for the area. What I didn’t like: Housekeeping was inconsistent, staff didn’t come regularly for cleaning. The breakfast lacked variety and was the same every day. Also, I found some of the front desk staff to be unapproachable and not very helpful in addressing customer concerns. Overall, there’s potential, but service improvements are definitely needed.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay. Each member of the staff, whether checkin, house keeping, or dining were kind and hard working. It’s convenient, affordable, and clean.

The Lobby is very pretty, the staff is very friendly and it is very clean. The rooms are very outdated. The desk in the room was broken. Also this is more of a motel than a hotel. Breakfast was pretty basic. Hotel scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles. Not many healthy options. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable. It was ok for one night.

Horrible experience from check in all the way to checkout! First room was not stocked with towels, toiletry, tv did not work, and AC made a loud humming noise. Second room went to take a shower and bathtub was clogged up which made us had to cancel our plans to wait for a plumber to come. At checkout the front desk representative said the manager was on the phone but would reach out to Expedia to provide refund for our experience over our two day stay. Sure enough a week went by and no email from Expedia or hotel about refund. Then I called Expedia and they called to speak with Chrissy and claims she never said to the front desk representative. Needless to say I called corporate and filed a complaint against property and her. Avoid this hotel at all possible!!

Excellent property. My family stay here when we visit our son at George Mason University. Very close to the university. Breakfast buffet have a great variety of foods to chose from. Rooms are clean. And very quiet.

The pool was amazing. However we booked a poolside room and ended up the furtherest away you could possibly get and it was upstairs. We both have mobility issues so having no lift was challenging. At check in we were told the hotel was full and could not change our room to a poolside room. Very disappointed as there were plenty of empty rooms. I have never complained before.

We booked a king size bed and ended up with a queen bed otherwise we were happy with the staff, area and cleanliness.

We checked in late after a long flight. After arriving at our room we saw we were given a king bedroom instead of 2 queens, which i had booked and paid for. Called to the front desk and was told that they were fully booked and had no queen rooms to give us...confusing to me as I had booked 2 queens and was never told at the front desk before check in that they didn't have the room we'd booked available. The man I spoke with at the desk told me the best he could do is a partial refund. In the morning when we went to the desk about the refund I was told only the manager could process a refund and she wasn't in that day. I was given her card and told to call the following day. I called the following day, and the day after that, and two days after that, and was always told the manager was unavailable, was on lunch, was out checking on rooms etc. Staff refused to take a message and told me I'd have to keep calling back. I've now given up on the refund, which I think was their goal. I won't be staying there again, nor would I encourage my friends or family to.

No elevator

The service level of this property is zeor to none. The only answer youbget oost 4pm is there is no one to asssist you and you can contact tomorrow Am. The housekeeping is kind of lottery system where unless you specifically ask for the room might not get fresh linen or towels or cleaned. All in all we had terrifble experience with the stay at this facility.

If I could, I would only stay at Best Westerns. Unfortunately my pockets can't really do the price unless I get it discounted. That being said, price is totally worth it and if I wasn't trying to save a lot of money right now, I would totally do it again.

We were asked to park in certain spaces, which was fine. However, there was a car parked in the lot on either side of where we were to park that basically looked like a homeless person lived in their car. They didn't have a tag the first night, but then after that, they did. Not sure if they were legit or not, but is was definitely uncomfortable parking there. The bathroom door would lock and you couldn't get out without the person on the outside pulling it open. Not sure what would have happened if you weren't there with another person. The breakfast buffet, however, was awesome. It was the saving grace of our stay.

I had a great time. I can't wait to come back and have more fun on this. I had really missed this.

Once we checked in, the front desk staff were at least helpful, offering a map and directions. The weekend was rainy, so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool, though it likely looks better in summer. Unfortunately, the facilities are outdated—no USB ports, and our room had a very damp carpet near the door, likely from rain seeping in. Worse, the bed sheets were also damp, making it extremely uncomfortable to sleep. Adjusting the AC didn’t help with the humidity. Breakfast was decent, but surprisingly lacked dairy-free options, even though our room had dairy-free creamer. A small plus: they provided a makeup wipe in the room. Overall, this place needs serious updates and better organization. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

visited fairfax for the first time for a concert and needed somewhere to stay before a long drive home. the hotel was lovely, and staff was very efficient with check in and check out! room was neat and clean as well and the town of fairfax was lovely.

Reserved a poolside room and was placed near poolside, but back into a hallway where it seemed the service staff would congregate. All I heard throughout the night was the service staff talking loudly and with no concern for the guests staying there. I also could periodically smell cigarette smoke and also what I think Was sewage. Then when I turned on the bathroom lights, I saw a few roaches. The room and the beds were fine, but the other details left me never want to come back to this place. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody. The biggest thing was the service staff talking loudly at 1am and banging outside of your door every other minute. Poor quality sleep and worrying about bugs the whole night. I don’t recommend this hotel.

I was really disappointed with this property because the pool opened at noon. People don’t stay at this hotel like it’s a resort (or maybe they do) but by noon we are off to our obligations- it would have been nice to take a dip prior to that. A reasonable time to open the pool is At a minimum 10:30! Rooms were relatively clean (no sticky floor) but the bathroom had a few knats and the beds were NOT comfortable at all. The stay was comparable to the price we paid but I won’t be taking the budget path again. They had a descent spread for breakfast. They don’t really have an outdoor space to hang out other than the pool, so it would be nice to have some place to sit outside. Was a big reminder for me- you get what you pay for! Best amenity is Andy’s pizzeria which is about 2 blocks away - we went twice in one weekend!

If you are handicapped DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! My husband & I have trouble with stairs & the only way to get to the breakfast area from our room was to drive around the hotel and go in the front lobby. Room felt sort of damp, no safe, old, small towels in bathroom & pillows were awful. Won’t be back.

I stayed the evening before GMU freshman orientation for my son and was super pleasantly surprised with this best western. I was traveling by myself (meeting my son at the college that morning) and felt super safe and looked after. The location was great in relation to GMU and the staff super wonderful. I can't say enough about the staff. Anyway, the room itself was a bit dated but it was clean and had everything i needed. The bed was a bit uncomfortable but again, not the worst. Oh but the pool, really really nice. Anyway, I'm kinda bougie and although this is not bougie at all, i won't hesitate to say here again. IDK if that makes sense but for the price i paid vs the Hilton down the street, totally the best bang for the buck.

The building has been around for decades, but it is well maintained with refurbished bathrooms, up-to-date exterior lights, and well-functioning, and pretty quiet AC units. The hot breakfast is very good. I saw lots of families vacationing or attending sports events for their kids. I recommend ot.

This property was great. Thebstaff was very friendly and accomodating. We stayed at the property for a week and our room was cleaned daily. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and well stocked. I was able to safely jog around the neighborhood daily. This locatiom was fairlu close to DC as well.

Bathroom are too congested and small. They even don't have lifts. The price they charging, doesn't met with quality of rooms. Motels are better than this.

Many things that made this a horrible visit. Service desk employee checking me in wasn’t rude necessarily but he sounded fed up in his tone and looked annoyed that I was there. Rooms had a stench and were outdated and need a remodel. Beds were clean, however, it was very creaky along with the couch. Walls and doors are paper thin, literally was able to hear everything going on in the motel such as people’s conversations, footsteps, and even the neighbors using the restrooms. The shower drain was also clogged which was very inconvenient. Room service didn’t even knock and tried coming into the room. This is probably the worst hotel/motel experience ever and I don’t see anything being worse than this. Please save your money and go to a different place.

The property is close to the free citi transit bus stops, which made it really convenient for me to move around, as I did bring my car.

Great location. The breakfast was very good for a chain hotel breakfast and the dining area was large and bright. The room was your basic chain hotel room with that musty smell, but clean. The pool and courtyard area were impressive. A good value.

Not worth the money! This place is deceiving. The building is old but looks well kept from the outside, the lobby is updated and looks really nice, the gentleman at the front desk was very nice and professional, but then, then, there are the rooms. First off, the smell of mildew hits you when you first walked in the room, then u turn the light on and you see the rooms have not been updated, to me since the 90’s. Did not look like it had been cleaned/freshened up in a few mths. The connection door for the room looked like it had been kicked in on the top and the bottom. The only thing keepen the door in place was the lock in the middle of the door on our side. The shower looked as if it was just rinsed down after the last person or persons who had stayed. The springs in the bed where a little pokey. I guess they wanted to say Hi. The refrigerator was clean so there is a positive in this review.

ONE BED??? “The sofa opens to a bed” me:” does the sofa bed have linens on it?” Them:”I think it does you can open it to find out.” Me:”But I ordered a room with TWO Queen sized beds” Them:”The manager will be here in the morning.”😒 Asked for new soap and clean towels prayed bed was clean, stayed in room breakfast was good. Will not return. Lesson: A happy client will tell one person, an unhappy client will tell ten people. Good Luck.

Check in was smooth and the staff was very friendly. We had room 305 which was at the back of the building and labeled no smoking. It had 2 queen beds that were very "bouncy" and the blankets were awful. There were alot of pillows that were oddly half-sized. Immediate smell upon entering room was stale cigarette smoke. It bothered my family the entire time. The air conditioner was very loud and sounded like it needed serviced. There was a continuous rhythmic noise coming from the hotel centrally, which was not in our room but if it was quiet it was loud. Between that noise, the a/c unit kicking on and off, the highway traffic, emergency sirens and vehicles backing up, we slept maybe 30 minutes the entire night. The bathroom had an old toilet paper roll pushed into the bar for the shower. There were hairs and smashed bugs on the wall. You cannot open or close the door if you're on the toilet - like to help your child - because the toilet blocks the door swinging open. So cramped! It just was not a comfortable stay for our family.
