The nearby mall is pretty dead, but the location is great and the staff is very helpful

The staff were good I checked out for one night there was no hot water and the heat didn’t work , it was really cold we gave 6 months old baby with us , I have to contact the from to change the room. I changed it 3 times because he was by himself I have to travel downstairs each time. I asked him to send someone to fix the heat , he said that engineer will be in the morning. That Shame for 4 star hotel to not have someone for emergency situation.

The location is very ideal and accessible. Comfortable and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the gym facilities too. Room lighting doesn’t have any natural lighting - the room was cleaned daily but sometimes they forgot to empty the bin and replenish teas and coffee.

I was hoping that it would have a water filling station near the registration. The only place you could get filtered water for your water bottle was a long track back to the workout room and the filtered water station looked pretty unkempt

The lobby looked nice. It looks nice on the website Our joining room was as if they were in our room! There was no sound proofing. I heard the toddler jump, scream, and cry.. I will say they were not doing anything out of the norm, I literally woke up to their family coughing in middle of the night as if they were sleeping right next to me. I tried calling the lobby about 10:30 and no one ever answered. Our shower curtain had stains of black mold when I got in the shower in the morning. It was not hygienic at all.

We had a 2nd floor room facing the inside of the building. There were people talking and laughing below our window until after midnight while I was trying to go to sleep. They probably didn’t seem loud to each other, but their voices echoed in the courtyard making them seem noisier and louder.

We had a very nice stay. Rooms are a little tired but it was very comfortable and we slept very well. We dined downstairs and liked the service and the food and drinks.

Because this is on the mall property, there are no dining options to walk to except what you can find at the mall and within their hours. We enjoyed our stay. Only complaint is that there is a giant open space in the lobby. A youth soccer team was playing football in the space for almost two hours and no one stopped them. We were visiting and hoping to have a space to sit and play games with our local family, but there were no tables to sit at, just seating with a weird small hassock-like thing in the middle (too small for cards). We tried to sit at a table off to the side in the restaurant area (there were few people in the area and MANY open spots) but were hassled by the wait staff and finally had to buy drinks to feel like we could sit and use the table

I liked that it was very clean and well maintained. Not shabby like some hotels are even with a brand name, some look so run down. There was a little noise when the neighboring room guests arrived. It was a little late. Didn’t last for a long time but it woke me up.

Older hotel that needs upgrades. Carpet looked dirty and our tub was super stained and old. Toilet paper was an old roll barely half full. And breakfast was not included as I was told and come to expect from a "Hyatt". If we wanted the breakfast it was $20 per person.

Bar and dining area was never staffed when we tried to visit. Was charged for wifi we didn’t even use. Overall the rest of the stay was ok. A little bit older property kept fairly clean in a good location.

Awful experience — nonstop noise from a convention all night and morning made it impossible to sleep. Breakfast was overrun by convention guests, leaving almost nothing, yet they still tried to charge $21 per person for scraps. Never again.

The location and the customer service The property is old and needs to be updated. It was only 1 washcloth in the room, 1 elevator working and very visible patches on the wall that needs to be fixed. When I think of Marriott I think luxury and that wasn’t it.

The stay was wonderful, the rooms were clean. The bathroom was decent sized. There were only 2 very small water bottles for 4 people. The biggest issue was that only one elevator was working which meant every time you want to use it, you have to wait for almost 10 mins which was quite annoying. Overall a very good property

Good breakfast, ( fresh fruits, etc. ), very good location ( selection of restaurants and shops in the Fair Oaks Mall - just next door ). generally all was very good, If you add some selection of cheese and watermelon - would be even better.

Cleanliness and a comfortable bed is primary (no surprise). The bathroom was well equipped and the shower was superb. I admit that I have stayed at that facility a number of time before (for famiy AND Business) and felt the same. I will surely stay there again. A night light for the "middle of the nighters" would be helpful.

Ok stay with kids for a family reunion. Hotel lobby itself was nice but our room was a little beat up. The drapes were ripped and the fabric on the desk chair was torn & worn out. Shower was weak- lots of hard water build up causing water to spray everywhere.

Everyone was friendly. But our first room didnt have effective AC and wouldn’t stay cool. It smelled like mold. The sheets were damp it was so humid in there. They moved us two doors down and it was better, but the AC leaked so bad we had to change the towel we put under it every few hours or we would slip on the tile.

Proximity to food and shopping The room was very hot and moist. Mold in the bathroom, dirty, weird odor, and the iron was leaking and ruined my shirt

This was a great hotel for me staying a weekend for my sons track meet at George Mason. Convenient to get everywhere and walkable to restaurants and the mall. Loved that parking was easy and it was easily accessible to get to the University.

The property’s only real downfall is housekeeping. They barge into your room in the morning without knocking & provide no apologies for walking in. They also do not like to replace toilet paper, cups/glasses, or wipe down bathroom counters, Aside from the housekeeping issues, the hotel is in a great location, is very pretty, and was clean upon check-in.

However, the room could have been cleaner, and I hope they pay more attention to that in the future. During my stay, there was a wedding ceremony, which got a bit noisy. I think they should consider holding ceremonies indoors rather than in the common areas to keep things quieter for other guests.

When asked about refills, her attitude was shockingly rude and unprofessional. While guests were waiting for food, she continued to prioritize tips instead of service. I’ve never encountered someone in a hospitality role behave in such a manner. She was a stark contrast to the otherwise wonderful staff and truly deserves zero stars for her service

The surrounding area is nice. I have stayed in this location many times over the years. It simply needs some renovations. The lobby is fine. The rooms just seem out of date and old.

This Marriott was in a fantastic location for anything in the northern Va or DC area. Very ice room, beautiful lobby and dining area. The breakfast buffet was not one of the better ones so after the first day we ordered off the menu but the staff was very nice. We will stay there again definitely.

I’d say it was a solid satisfactory hotel. I’d stay there again. I really liked it. It’s right next to the fair Oaks mall there’s a Starbucks not far and despite not interacting much with the staff, they seemed to be a solid crew parking right at the hotel, I definitely go back However, the rooms have patios that face the inner courtyard and I don’t believe the patio doors open. I didn’t care for that.

This was my second stay in the span of a month and I enjoyed it. A beautiful lobby and atrium, friendly staff, and very comfy and clean rooms. I love how easy it is to get to from the highway as well. Will gladly stay there again!
