The staff was very helpful. The parking lot was well lit and safe. The waffles in the continental breakfast were delicious. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable.

It is an old place that looked like they did some upgrades that wear not to bad. I would still recommend it to someone to stay.

This was a pleasant stayConsidering that this is an older motel, it was very nice. After being on the road for a couple of days it felt great to be able to take a nice hot shower and rest and a comfortable bed with an air-conditioning unit that worked. staff was nice a good location literally within walking distance to either gas station or somewhere to eat. I would definitely stay here again.

The owners were very helpful and amazing. The bathroom is renovated. Although the room is and building is dated, it was quiet comfortable and I felt safe.

Had a problem with the air conditioner- used it to cool the room- work ed first but then never came back on. Got warm during the nite - very uncomfortable sleeping. Breakfast was very basic and no place to sit and eat it. Review were really good but it did not live up to those high reviews. I would say 5-6 out of 10!’

Room was clean and tidy. Employees were very friendly. Property is undergoing renovation and they are doing a nice job updating the rooms. They still need to do exterior, but what they’ve done so far is nice.

The staff was wonderful. Friendly and helpful. It is an older establishment, but kept clean and the beds were comfortable. It would be nice if breakfast was offered till a later time. 9:00 works well for those that stay and then off to work. However, if you are on vacation 9 doesn’t allow for any leisure getting on with your day. We never got breakfast….not complaining…just a suggestion .

Clean, quiet and close to the venue we were attending. Overall great place and much cheaper that other hotels in the area. Bathroom is a bit small, but clean and newly remodeled.

Not a breakfast person so I just had a donut and coffee. This thing I liked the most was how friendly and accommodating the manager Pete P was. He is a very likable and professional individual. I also liked the fact the room was a non smoking room and smelled fresh and was very clean. I also asked fo a ground floor room and got it. This was important to me for health reasons. I have absolutely no complaints.

Stay express worked for me riding to Sturgis, was able to park my bike in front of my room, stayed both going and coming home . Older building ,remodeled shower, great place for the price $80 and $70.

The owner was wonderfully friendly, went out of his way to help us with dinner recommendations, and also helped troubleshoot the TV in the room (Direct TV does this stupid thing where it needs to be reset after 12 hours of not being used and its terrible for hotels). The room was surprisingly large and the way the pillows and towels were displayed you could tell the owners really care about the place. If you're in Elko and need a place to stay I would totally recommend Stay Express Inn.

This place looks NOTHING like the photos! It's got good rating on google, and usually thats what I go by, but NOOO this place sucks! The bed sucks, the shower looks like it's been glazed 700 times and then painted over. DON'T STAY HERE!!

I did not personally stay here myself. I booked this place for my BF who got a job in Elko. He ended up staying at this motel for about 3-4 weeks until he found a place. He said it was fine. He had a roof over his head and the price was great. Hope this helps. I didn't like that I was able to book the room for my BF from NJ but the front desk said I had to be there in person in order for him to check-in the room. Just because I had used my card. I felt like it was useless to ask me if I was booking the hotel for someone else and then make me add all of their information if they can't physically check-in without me.

The bed had been made but the bottom sheet was dirty. I went and got clean sheets from the check in guy. Next to the bed was an old water bottle, used straw and black crayon. The bathtub was dirty. Yuck, I'm not really sure how they have such high reviews.

We had a medical emergancy during our day trip from Fernley to Elko, and had to stop overnight. The Express Inn was the best price for us, and had a vacancy. The manager was very helpful and patient, and the room, while modest, was clean and appropriate. Many thanks.

This is the first time here. It's a bit strange for the bitterly l bottom even rooms as they are a bit back through a door and hallway. AC is awesome! Clean! Good tv, fridge space. Will come again.

Vintage, cute, very clean. Nice tv, small table and chairs. Adequate lighting. A/c worked well, though quite loud. Certainly not modern but the bathroom appears to be recently updated. And, the flooring appears to be newerluxury vinyl. No funky smells in room. Mighty hard/ firm mattress and pillows!! Definitely not for side sleepers.

The hotel doesn't look the nicest on the outside but it was in a quiet, safe area and had a well lit parking lot. The room was very clean and looked as if it had been recently updated. The shower water pressure was great. The bathtub drain was having a little trouble. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Would stay there again if we were in the area. Overall nice stay.

This property is the best budget motel I've come across. The property is being upgraded by the owners and the rooms are extremely clean, with more than adequate towels, the sheets are new and clean, the pillows new. No pets or smoking is allowed on the property. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The parking area is being upgraded and there's a big city park very close by. There are more than adequate restaurant options including a Chinese restaurant right next door to the motel. There's an Albertson's supermarket nearby along with banking and other services. All in all, I'll stay here again if I'm passing through Elko and as I said, for under $100 you simply can't do any better than this property.

The food is located at the check-in desk area, where you must place your breakfast on a tray and then walk it across a parking lot to your room. On top of this logistical inconvenience, a key staff member questions you on how much food is appropriate on your tray. Otherwise, the room is very clean and modern.

Great find. Reviews are good for this property as owners care and offer great service. Paul was very kind at check in. The room had a comfortable bed, good shower that drained, and I liked how the parking lot was well lit up at night. We will be back.

The nighty manager went above and beyond to accommodate my stay there and help me. He set up breakfast earlier than normal just for me due to my early departure time.

Wasn't ever able to be able to check in my room because their system was down front desk was supposed to get back with me and let me know when the system was up and ready so he can check me in and never did to do so poor customer service. Understand if it's limited training due to just a feeling but don't take down a number and say that you're going to get back to someone that's been waiting for their room and never even tried to make it attempt

Room was affordable and clean. It was convenient to have parking right in front of the room especially with the freezing cold temperatures. Bathroom had been remodeled recently, it was very nice.

Room was ok. Front desk was fine. The guy in the morning wasnt very friendly. There is no place to eat the breakfat they have. You have to take it back to your room. Its very hard to carry hot coffee and your breakfast back to your room. The asian restaurant next door is great.

It was fairly quiet. That was the plus side. The mattress was thin and the whole bed shook. The floor creaked. I don’t understand how this place was rated as high as it was.

I said I'd take the room on the second floor then all of a sudden he had a room available on 1st floor. Room had an updated bathroom but the carpet was old and the rest of the room was not updated. It was clean and met all of my needs for the night, including a convenient bottom floor to parking, refrigerator, microwave, and in room coffee. I was happy about that. The TV was disconnected but the gentlemen at the desk was very helpful and came and fixed the issue.

He said he had emailed me but I never received an email. He said they had plumbing issues. He also offered to cancel to reservation at no cost. This was perfect for an overnight stay during a multi-day cross country road-trip. At first we were wary, as the outside of the property looks a little run down, but the room looked newly remodeled and was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The proprietor was exceptionally helpful and kind. The breakfast had more options than we expected. The wifi did not work during our stay, which wasn't a big deal to us, but would have been an annoyance for a longer stay. Great value overall, and we would stay again if passing through.

Very good for the price. Smaller but comfortable room. Clean room except someone had smoked in it. They definitely tried to clean the smell as it was faint but I have sensitive lungs. Quiet area. Safe area.

Stay was good but cleanliness was a little issue this time. The bed had food on it and bathroom was not clean. Little usually as this wasn’t my first time and I had high expectations. Always good to know that worker trucks stay and go early in the morning. I usually use them as my alarm.

Very clean and upgrades show well. Can’t beat the price. Receptive to our comments and overall welcoming and trying to please.

Main thing was to have a safe parking spot for my car since I was moving and had a lot of stuff in there. People that work at the mines stay here with all their equipment on their trucks. Nothing gets stolen! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Small continental breakfast, very quiet and clean. We did have one bed that looks like the sheet was not changed but there was plenty of top blankets to cover it and still sleep. Bathroom sink also sometimes was not draining well. I think all pipes might be connected so if someone else was running water it would slow. Also water pressure from the shower is super strong which was amazing!! I will definitely stay here again if I’m the area.
