Motel 6, pet friendly helps stay on budget, and people on a budget dont expect luxury, but clean and everything working is just fine.

Wonderful visit, I will be returning later this month.

Rude staff dirty rooms I've stayed at hotels all over the world for 20years this was the dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed.

Very courteous and helpful staff, clean rooms and convenient parking. A shopping center and casino are near by, and other restaurants are within walking distance.

You can tell this place is newly renovated so I felt pretty good about staying here. Our room could have been cleaner is my only complaint. There were random hairs in the bathroom and my feet were dirty from walking around…we only stayed one night so it was fine.

No coffee maker in the room, one airpot of coffee in the lobby. Nightstand lights had to be explained by staff, they were NOT intiutive. Many layers of flooring make the toilet seats at shin level, bad if your knees are like mine. Bathroom door upper hinge was loose, requiring lifting knob to even get that door to close. King bed room, with a queen mattress on the king frame. Clean room, and good cost. Otherwise? take a pass on this one.

after paying in line i was required to put $100 down for a deposit and was told i would have it returned. i haven’t received this payment return. if i am paying online i do not want to have to have additional payment surprise me when i show up to register. i can understand a card on file but not sharing it until there is an issue upon checkout

Staff was very rude, knocking on my door demanding me to pay now, even tho I paid for 2 nights. Very unprofessional

Bed frames were protruding out and we hit our legs on them many times. Very painful. Everything else was great!

with little room to pass another occupant. No clock, no tissues, no shampoo or conditioner provided. Beds are comfortable and the room is functional, if austere. The entry door has a large gap (no need for a nightlight). The vanity faucet is plumbed backwards (hot water--handle to the right). Plenty of parking, seems secure, well lit.

The security latch on the door to room 119 was broken, the fan in the bathroom made this loud noise the whole time than fell off the wall and it took me forever to hook back up becausethe plastic cover was held on with this stupid steel wire. The ground was dirty in the corners of the room. Gunk on the walls that needed to be cleaned up. The room stank like cigarettes or something. But hey its a motel 6 what do you expect for 57 bucks? Im not complaining really the bed was clean its a state where gambling, smoking, and prostitution is the norm. So I didnt expect much in the first place. Better than a few motel 6s I stayed at in the past! As long as I dont got bugs crawling everywhere and the bed and bathroom are moderately clean I can sleep!

Decent bed and pillows. Microwave worked well. The light on the side of the bed didn’t work. Door very thin, could hear kids playing outside all evening.

I don’t doubt there are more comfortable places in Elko.

nothing Bathroom vent fan was noisy only to find it clogged with dust and dirt preventing proper venting. cars were allowed to be backed into the parking space so exhaust is pointed directly outside the ac intake.

When got there power wasn’t working in room. I booked two queen beds and got two full beds with not even a foot between beds to move around. It was very small. Along with the shower was not clean. Staff was nice but not in a hurry to come look at the power.

Do not listen to the reviews that say this property is good and clean. This is one of the disgusting hotels my family has ever stayed the night in. We were also very worried through the night that someone was going to break into our car, we barley got any sleep. The beds are horrible, the room was massively dirty. I kept my socks on all night because I didn't want bare feet touching the floor. There was what looks like blood clots on the wall, even the curtains are filthy and there are staples holding the curtains together. The bathroom I am sure hasn't been cleaned properly for at least a year. Absolutely disgusting. Please save your money and go elsewhere.

Room was cleaned. I liked the new update Motel 6 has made. I did not like having to put down a $100 cleaning deposit however it was returned quickly and easily upon checkout.

It was terrible. Holes and patches all over the bathroom. Crackheads everywhere. Several rooms were under construction and wide open or workers in and out.

They are right in the middle of a remodel. good luck!

It seemed the Motel was being used for more than travelers. It was full and busy on a Tue, off season and early in the afternoon. We canceled our reservation and went elsewhere

Clean and a nice sized room Parking lot

Understanding staff, helped me out when I checked in too early and when I misunderstood the check out time, thinking it was at 12pm. The bed was great, had amazing sleep. A bit dirty, but understandable as they prepared the room for me as soon as it was free. Walls are a little thin but everything was quite at night, so it wasn't too bad. Planning to stay there again in the future.

The room was clean but run down. I’m not sure why I had gotten a wheelchair accessible room but it wasn’t very good for someone who doesn’t require that. The shower nozzle was a hand wand that couldn’t be attached. This made my shower not very enjoyable and it could be repaired easily.

Unfortunately, I did not have the 200 dollar cash deposit but no worries the clerk cancelled my reservation with not one issue. Thanks Tom Bodett. I'll suggest to apps to start placing deposit policy at the top of the menus. It would fairly put more people in rooms that they know the can handle and not waste consumer time and merchant hopes of garnering a stay that can pay fully for insurance and damages if need be. Why not be more proactive and resolve that struggle on the face of it. Right now unclear menus cost is prima face style consumer abuse. Unfortunately, I did not have

Nothing Booked for three nights. I changed on Booking.com 10 day before arrival to one night, which was completely within the rules. When I checked in I was told they were going to make me pay for three nights when I was only staying one. I tried to get my money back but Motel 6 would not give it and Booking.com won't either. I will NEVER stay here again. They will rip you off!

It appears that they are allowing people to live at the Motel permanently, in both the front and back of the building. (We are not talking about the the owners- we expect them to live there, and we really like them and appreciate how hard they are woking to make this a nice place). The complaint is about the random full-time people living there. This is quite uncomfortable for us overnight guests. Past 2 times we've stayed there, we had residents living a couple doors down. One resident was a chain smoker-I mean she was not friendly and was frequently standing outside her room smoking. That pretty much negated our non-smoking request, as the smell waifted into our room. As long as this seems to be turning into a full-time apartment-like place, we will not return. Sorry, because the Owners are so nice!

The location was good. As a female staying there alone, I was a little uncomfortable with some things I saw. I honesty don’t know if I would stay again.

It was a place to stay. Curtains were stapled, not hemmed. Put my way in the back, next to construction. Who wants to listen to them working next door? …wandered around looking for my room number for 10 minutes…the girl behind the desk really could have told me where to go in the first place.

The office ladies where accommodating. The laundry attendant was rude. We where sleeping and housekeeping banged on our door and woke us up at 830 am, so regardless how tired u are u will not be allowed to sleep in undisturbed.

They are going through a major remodeling. What is done looks wonderful but first glance it doesn’t look like a safe place. Don’t judge them by that. They have one of the brightest lots I have had the pleasure to use. The place is clean the staff I dealt with was polite and helpful. Definitely will stay again if in the area.

Overall the hotel was worth the price. However, half of the hotel is being renovated and those rooms are wide open with construction supplies piled all over the place. Left us feeling slightly nervous about potential squatters and late night shenanigans. Our room was clean but was missing a few things, curtains were hemmed with staples and it felt like it was still mid renovation in many ways. However, Staff was very personable and accommodating.

Clean, comfortable and convenient - my family and I were very pleased with our stay at Motel 6 Elko, NV. The customer service was excellent both on the phone and at check in. We needed a place to crash just for the night and we are so glad we stayed at Motel 6!

The TV is below standards. It's low-resolution and there's no channel guide. There may be a digital HR available but it doesn't seem to be there.

There's no shampoo of conditioner in the bathrooms, just soap. When I stay at this hotel, lighting is often burned out and light bulbs don't work. Noisy, so it's difficult to sleep because people suck.

Furniture unkept scratched, holes patched and not painted, ants coming in from door, big gap around door frame, not sealed, poor selection of TV channels, very poor picture quality, no shampoo or lotion, had to go to the store and buy. It appears they are remodeling rooms, i hope the section I stayed in is getting done, I'm not sure what their other rooms are like but I wouldn't stay there again.

When I arrived the lady was really friendly. I arrived late. I wasn't impressed. It didn't look anything like the pictures I went to bring in my luggage the door would not lock from the outside. It didn't matter what I tried how hard I pulled and I could not go to dinner with my stuff in the room. I literally had to take it back to my car and go to the Office. They did move me but I'm disabled and I was moved upstairs wasn't the best experience but it wasn't the employee's fault so I didn't really say much. I just needed a room because it was so late and nothing was available. Fortunately when I did get back from dinner an employee helped me carry my suitcase up the stairs when they noticed my struggle.The beds were like sleeping on the floor. They were so hard and boxy but sometimes sleep is sleep. I think people should be able to sleep peacefully and at least have the door lock to keep their belongings in the room safely.

Great overall for price. I do think those staying with animals should be given bottom floor. This makes it easier ehen taking them out. Especially someone with mobility issues like myself

Very clean hotel. It’s under a new management and they are remodeling the entire hotel . Very clean. We stayed in the remodeled rooms. Everything new. Mattress very comfortable. Bedsheets and towels super clean.

There’s unrelated hotel stuff scattered in the office. The parking is very inconvenient around the building and even to get to the front office the rooms were remodeled, but still dirty. They have old shower stalls. They did not replace when they replaced the rest of the bathroom. There was some real sketchy characters hanging around the place did not feel safe. This hotel needs to be demolished and something you put in to catch up with the times.

The staff was dedicated and friendly. The price was right, it wasn’t too noisy, except for trucks reviving it up on the roadway, and I think I saw multiple hookers at nearby motels. There is also an Albertsons and shopping center across the street for healthy eating.

Wanted upper level room so our room had 2 beds tightly fitted up against the walls so we just slept in separate beds. Room chair was hard plastic under writing area. Had some light leakage through the curtains from outer stairway security lighting. Property was well attended by friendly staff. Area was quiet. Room looks to have been remodeled with new flooring, platform beds, fresh paint, etc.. I’d stay here again.

The next morning before leaving, I stopped in the office and asked for them to please come in and change the sheets and give us clean towels as we had went to the mountains the night before and my grandkids dirty feet had caused dirt to be on the sheets. The lady in the office said no problem it’ll be done by time we got back. She was very rude about it. Half the hotel was under construction, so there was not as many rooms as normal. Upon returning to the hotel at 9 PM a full 12 hours after I left, our room had not been entered. We still had dirty sheets and dirty towels, which were gathered and piled in a corner to make things easier for the housekeeper. Upon going to the front desk to ask if somebody could please bring us clean towels and sheets the desk, Lady was very rude and a person sent to clean our room smelled like they had not showered in over a month. The smell lingered for hours after even with the door open. In the middle of the night, one of the light fixtures dropped down out of the ceiling above where my grandchild was laying. There was no mention on the website of construction or that the pool was empty. Upon exiting and checking out front desk was light yet unforgiving

Stay away from this motel if you don’t want to get ripped off by them. I only received back 1/3 of my deposit money for items that can be easily steam and wash off such as bedsheet, pillowcase, and a few dirty towels. What a shameful act. Avoid at all costs.

Renovated but still somewhat dirty. Dog poop every where in the motel area. The housekeeper needs to do better job on this issue. Renovated but still somewhat dirty. Dog poop every where in the motel area. The housekeeper needs to do better job on this issue. I only received back 1/3 of my deposit money for a few stained items that can be easily steam and wash off such as bedsheet, pillow case, and towels that I used to clean their filthy chair, dirty microwave, and bathroom sink. What a shameful act of this motel. Stay somewhere else if you can.

It's quiet! We were traveling across the country, and needed a pet-friendly room. This room was perfect! It was clean and didn't have any residual animal odors that our pets would have detected. It was on the main road, but set back far enough that we didn't hear anything at night. A fantastic price, and a comfortable, secure room.

Considering the freeway was right above our room, it was surprisingly quiet. This is by no means a 5 star but very decent. Many of the guests are miners/workers and are staying for long mg term. My reservation was canceled two weeks ago

I stayed here for the Mine Expo, always a busy time in Elko and hard to get a room. The staff was very accommodating. Expedia overbooked the hotel and cancelled my reservations. The hotel management worked with me and saved me from sleeping in my car or in Wells or Winnemucca. The room was clean and comfortable and I was appreciative. Conveniently located to the freeway and everything that Elko has to offer.

Front desk guy told me that my room is two queen size bed. But it was two full size and it wasn't too small for 3 adults. Shower space was to o small.

Property under construction. Ice machine was broken. They did not have coffee makers or hair dryers in Each room. Ran out of coffee in lobby at 9 am . Refused to make more .

Quick stop on my way to someplace else. The bed was comfortable check-in was quick. The room is OK. The traffic outside is very loud. The blackout drapes was just say blackout is not a good word for it. I woke up and thought it was noon, but it was only seven from the light in my room. It’s nice to have a refrigerator in the microwave. I greatly appreciated that TV. Took a few minutes to figure out how to work overall it did when I needed it to do in a pinch.

The check in person was nice but the room was not clean. I could see something under the sheets on the bed and when I pulled it back, the mattress cover had lots of stuff on it, like wood chips, dirt, little bits of trash, just not clean. I called to see if they could change the mattress cover but they couldn’t because housekeeping was no longer there. The floor was also filthy based on how dirty our socks got after walking around for a few minutes. The mini fridge worked well and even had a small freezer section which was nice. There was a lot of noise during the night from people outside and a car alarm going off in the middle of the night. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

I didn’t like the construction being right near our room. The beds didn’t fit on the bed frames so hard to get in and out of bead. The heater was very loud.

Enjoyed the stay . I was temporarily working g in Elko . The price was good.

I booked this place because it had the best reviews for the area and it is an affordable Motel, but for being as cheap as it was, it was pretty decent. The room is very small, and you don’t get shampoo/conditioner but it was clean, everything worked, and we were able to sleep and get back on the road. So don’t expect the Ritz, but for quick nights, you can’t beat the quality for the price.

Ok I had a room in the 2nd floor no elevator as I was taking stuff to my room I fell down on the stairs ! Then when i tried to take a shower had a bar of soap and no hot water! The staff was very nice explained the shower problem but didn’t want to go to another bathroom with hot water 👍it’s the small thing when owned by Indians cheap people ! Good luck 👍

Have made many reservations here via Expedia over the last year. The motel is recently under new management now though. At my last visit there the manager refused to acknowledge my reservation had been prepaid through Expedia. After I gave him my credit card for the deposit they charge... he then (without me knowing) charged my card for the the full cost of the reservation. In addition to charging my card without my knowledge, when I asked for a receipt for that charge, I noticed he had forged my signature on the charge. I'm having to dispute the charges with Expedia because the hotel manager is refusing to answer calls from Expedia. I will no longer be making reservations, or will I be staying at this facility. Stay at your own risk...but don't give them access to your credit cards.

Cheap motel and you get what you pay for I guess. Rooms were small and didn’t feel thoroughly cleaned (little things like crumbs behind the furniture, stains on the bedcovers, etc). That said, we felt safe, had close proximity to groceries and restaurants, enjoyed the tea and coffee in the lobby, didn’t break the bank, and had a great trip to Elko for the Cowboy Poetry Gathering!

The best thing about this property was its location and the fact it had an abundance of hot water. The staff was fair, but not very proactive about customer requests. In the room, the beds were very hard and the room needed maintenance. The desk lamp was broken and never fixed. The floor was filthy and the whole room was dusty and shabby. Pets were allowed, but they pooped everywhere. One pooped in front of our room and it was there until we left. The same was true of the surrounding artificial grass. I would not spend the night there again and my stay was for five nights. Instead of keeping the light on as advertised, they need to keep it off.

The negatives, and they are huge. I was in my room only about an hour laying on my bed watching TV when someone opened my door and started to walk in my room. This startled me quite a bit as I know I latched my door so whoever it was had a key to my room. When they saw I was in they they immediately left. I put my shoes on and stepped out in time to see the guy walking to the office. I went to the office and asked how someone just walked into my room. Apparently it was a hotel employee and they were checking to see if the room was active. How about you try knocking before you enter a room you aren't sure is occupied. That was completely unacceptable! The other issue I had was that the gap around the door was so big I could see light and the draft was so bad (it was in the 20's) that I had to stuff a towel in the gap to keep the cold air out. For the price there are too many other, better hotels in town so I won't stay there again. The only benefit I could see is if you have a pet there's no extra charge whereas most other hotels charge $15-$20 per pet extra. Other than that I'd stay somewhere else!

While these rooms are remodeled, they're still outdated, holes in the walls, and while it's a non-smoking room, the rooms can range in smells from pot to cigarettes and not a light smell by any means.

Staff seem confused and disorganized on arrival about room placement. There was no hot water for shower showers or washing up in anyway. On checkout advised clerk of hot water issue and she indicated that they forgot to reset the hot water system which indicates it’s been a known problem.

Opened door and room spelt funky, had to leave door open most of evening to air it. Air conditioning was very very poor.

Well to start things off, checking in I could barely even understand the lady she didn’t speak English hardly at all, then we get to the room and the comforters were a ugly yellow color, there was cigarette burns all over in the curtains the air-conditioning unit didn’t work, it made a weird noise the fan kept us up all night long, then at 6 AM someone decided they were going to bring us a new air conditioner so apparently they knew about it and still booked the room, I told them we were fine it wasn’t hot anymore and they kept bugging us for about 15 minutes and then finally left, the overall stay was just terrible

The price they advertised on hotels.com is higher than there actual rate shows $530 something online an its actually 450 I paid more than anyone else that came the pool they say they have is empty I went through 2 rooms before I got one with AC an it doesn't cool during the day bearly works at night other guy went through 5 I asked if I could get clean towels an was told to wash the ones I had the rooms are tiny an then the second week hear they figure out all the people here where here for work at the mine an up the rate another $100

Motel Staff was friendly and helpful. Motel was within walking distance to a store and fast food restaurants comfortable bed and AC was great.

Room has a bad smell and when you use the toilet there was water dripping on you from the ac unit. The ac was so loud that it was hard to sleep.

This is our 2nd stay at this property. The location is perfect - 1st time we stopped while going to Yellowstone and 2nd time while going to Rockies. Also we could see the care that the property owner has put in over the last 1 year including new paint, cleaning etc. As per room rate, I am very happy with what the property provided. I will surely stay here again next time I am in this area.

This place is awful. The staff has no idea how to handle the day to day. The ac was broken, nothing was said, the room was an absolute sauna. They put tiny little fans in the rooms that had a tray for ice, but the ice machine was broken too, half the place is being remodeled and they’re renting rooms on that side of the motel that don’t have ac in 100 degree heat. The room was disgusting but they charge a $100 deposit. We made them go look at our room before leaving and push the refund for the deposit because of past reviews about them keeping the deposit. I have stayed at many of the motel 6’s in the country and this one by far is one of the worst. There are tweekers everywhere, all the garbage cans outside of the rooms were stuffed full and overflowing the entire time we were there, and was even pointed out to a housekeeper who didn’t seem to care about it. Very dirty motel. Never will I stay here again. Go down the street to super 8. The beds are comfortable and they have breakfast. Lol

Upon arrival at 5pm (two hours after check in opens) I was told they had no rooms and that the housekeeper was trying to get them ready. I was asked to come back in an hour and explained I had a reception that I needed to get ready for and be at in an hour. Only about 15 minutes later I was given the keys to a room with a floor SO dirty I had to wear my shoes the entire time while inside. On the very short trip from the bathroom to the bed my feet were so filthy I had to wash them due to all the dirt and grime on the floor.

Absolutely horrific experience, came up for granddaughters graduation. Checked in and the room was filthy, beds unmade. Requested a different room then put us in another room to also be dirty, no air conditioning and blood on the sheets. Slept on top of the bedding with our own blankets. Can’t believe they think this is acceptable.

This motel is close to freeway access, as well as a couple restaurants within easy walking distances.

Spent 39$ for a night so I was not expecting the Ritz. Staff was great and very helpful. However it is supposed to be a smoke free motel. It is not I even switched rooms they both smelt so bad. All they need are a few ozone machines to treat the rooms. I think it use to be a smoking motel. Other than that no problems. Clean rooms.

A little makeup on the pillow cases and we get charged $25 for it? Never in my years of staying in hotels have I ever hear of some bologna.

The hotel charges a $200 deposit for any stay that is over 3 days. That isn't shared online before booking so if you're on a tight budget, this may not be an option. The air only blew hot air, even on cool. The room was basic and clean at least.
