breakfast is addressed in next item price was very reasonable. bed was raised and hard to get into; breakfast had to be eaten in room, no space in office. no paddded chair in room.

Comfortable small room. Great for one person. All needed amenities. Very neat and clean. Breakfast was simple but adequate, with better coffee than expected. The room air conditioner/heater was very quiet- a big bonus! Located on a very busy road, so a little noisy, though most road noise was blocked out. Parking for the rooms is right next to the doors, so morning noise of people leaving was a bit disturbing.

It is not a bad motel, it is older and should be renovated. Two levels we got a room by the stairs and did not hear anyone or the traffic traveling up and down the road. Check in is 3pm but the manager let us pick up room keys early (which worked out well).

The room and property were fine for the most part. It was clean and decently maintained. The entire room feels compressed. Two items that stood out to improve: at night the light form the front of the property penetrates into the room making it bright at night; and the noise from the upper floor is significant - every movement or action from upstairs is heard as though there is nothing at all to absorb sound. So, its frustrating being awoken throughout the night.

Very easy to find location. Easy access. Just a few blocks away from downtown. Across the street from a large park and a museum. Great stay for the price! The only negative was the guys above us who talked loudly until midnight. It is on a main city street, so there is some traffic noise, so consider that when deciding on staying. We stayed here about 25 years ago and would do it again.

Parents should teach their children to respect the lower floor guests by being a little more gentle

A little worn, but clean. I had a family of pachyderms upstairs that started at 5 a.m., so that was a little disturbing, and I didn't turn on the fan to drown out street noise like I should have. Neither of those are the fault of the owners :-) The location was super convenient to get back out on the road the next morning and the staff I interacted with was great.

Lovely grounds, flowers, landscaping. Staff very pleasant and helpful, the room very comfortable and clean. This was a return visit and I will stay again the next time I am in Elko.

There was smell strong inside the room as I saw reviews. But it might be from the cleaning product. So it was not so bad but I recommend try other product instead. Room is spacious and it had a microwave and fridge it was useful and breakfast was not bad because there were juice coffee bread apple banana yogurt milk cereal.

The room has a terrible smell. Every time we left and came back into the room it was like getting hit in the face with a moldy smell. Old carpet and old curtains holding in the smell. Floors creek very bad every time someone walks across the floor above and in your room. Rooms were clean for the most part and staff were great, if you can stand the smell..

The property was a budget hotel obviously but our door didn’t feel secure and the bathroom was outdated and uncomfortable. We got what we paid for. Would we stay again. Yes but with a better secured door.

The toilet is so close to the wall you can't use it without touching the walls. The motel is right on a busy road, and there was traffic noise all night. The beds aren't comfortable. So glad we only started one night.

Our room had the FOULEST smell (cat box with mold was the closest we could come up with.) the rooms are old and loud (we could hear every step and word from the room above us) and our friends in another room had two cockroaches in the shower. The towels/bedding and surfaces were clean and the check in was easy. That’s about the only positive thing I can think of.

We asked for a ground floor room with 2 queen beds when we reserved, several days in advance of our stay. The manager said he did not get this request from Expedia and did not have the room for us.

It was a little past 9, check out is 11am, and we’re starting to get ready to leave, and we hear a rather insistent knock at the door, and me and my friend were confused as to who could possibly be at the door, and without warning someone tried to open the door almost immediately after they had knocked, but the door jam stopped them, and they shut the door when we spoke up about people being in here. I checked and there was no one outside. My friend called the front desk about a possible break-in, but no, it was staff coming to clean out our room thinking that we already checked out. No apologies at all. And we never turned in our keys, the “do not disturb” sign was on the door, and our car was still in the parking lot, which they had the information on. So I don’t know why they would’ve thought we checked out. We’re just appalled by that decision with what seems no prior fact-checking into whether we were still there or not. We will not be staying here again.

The "continental breakfast" turned out to be coffee in the lobby. The room had a very noticeable smell to it. The bathroom reeked of mildew. We found a bug on the bed. The floor was extremely uneven, as though they had carpeted over a broken subfloor. It was so bad we had to warn our kids not to trip as they walked across the uneven floor. Had it not been so late at night after a long day of driving, we would have packed up and gone somewhere else.

The outside looks a little run down, but as soon as the door opens, it’s evident that a lot of care went into renovating this gem. Our host was friendly and accommodating of our truck and trailer. I can’t recommend this little place enough.

But the room was nice and warm and everything in order. We got there way late but check in was easy and quick and the price couldn't be beat.

We checked in late at 8:30. It was very cold and we just needed a room to rest and warm up for a short time on our road trip. First thing I noticed when entering was that the room smells like urine, it got increasingly worse as the heater kicked on. There were stickers embedded in the carpet that poked mine and my kids feet because we removed our shoes at the door. The Wi-Fi was not strong, had to use my hot spot on my phone to login to my email. Overall, staff was friendly, and cleanliness was horrible. Not worth the price.

On a long trip, we stopped at Days Inn Elko both ways. It was convenient, the service was fine, and the room was comfortable. Our only suggestion: the office door could open at 6:00 a.m. (when we needed to leave), for access to the breakfast bar.

After a miserable experience3 at the Day's Inn in Moab (reviewed separately), the Elko one was a delight. We met the manager when we arrived and he was very pleasant and gave us excellent dining suggestions. The parking area and exterior were very well maintained, as were stairway and hallway to our room, which was wonderful, clean, bright, very tastefully furnished, super clean, a complete opposite of the place in Moab. We liked everything about the Days Inn in Elko and found the staff most helpful. We had a great stay and it's pleasure to have faith in the brand again after the awful stay in Moab.
