Fridge didn’t stay cold had to wait for towels didn’t get much sleep cause of the noise above me all night long housekeeping was great and so was the breakfast

It was a basic average hotel. Room was nice with sitting area and 2 large TVs. Bed wasn’t great but average as well. Breakfast had your basic powered eggs, thin ham, cereal and stuff to make waffles. Employee working that area stood their watching every move you make so felt uncomfortable. Main negative was the shower was nasty. It had mold and red stuff around enclosure. Also, the pan floor was stained. It was a typical stay but would not stay here again.

The staff in the breakfast area are so Kind . The made a huge mistake, charging me twice and Im still trying to fix it. Also, the receipt was wrong.

This was my first stay at this hotel. I’ve been visiting Elizabeth City for 5 years now. Excellent service, if I had to share any con, it would be that the tiny night light on my headboard didn’t work. I highly recommend it!

Location The absolutely unnecessary noise coming from housekeeping by slamming open hotel room doors at 8:00 in the morning!!! And the badly attached shower condiments inside the shower. The shower gel fell off the wall and landed on my toes cutting one of them!!

The property itself was nice at face value. The location is convenient and easily accessible, we did like that it was off by itself. Paid $414 for a 2 night stay. 1st night: the water slowly drained but it was so late we didn’t care to look into it. 2nd night: drain was so slow that after one person showered, the dirty water was above our feet- GROSS! We lifted the silver drain panel and the drain was completely full of hair and scum! (And not our hair either) it was clearly evident that this shower hadn’t been cleaned properly (the silver panel was just to hide the drain itself and give it a prettier appearance). It’s 11PM by this time so we let the water drain (took about 20 minutes) and then used toilet paper to clean it ourselves and finish our showers. Annoyed, but whatever. I planned to talk to staff before we left the next morning. Now it’s time to relax and lay down- try to turn the TV on and it doesn’t work either. Great. $414 for a dirty shower, and a tv that doesn’t work. Breakfast: we decided after all the frustration to try the breakfast, and the food itself was good; staff was rude to everyone in the room and wouldn’t let anyone make their own waffles which seems a bit inconvenient when you have tables with children needing 5-6 waffles and the response they would get when they walked up is “what you want?” (Clearly a waffle since it’s the only station they would need assistance with). We initially tried to go the bagel route to avoid the waffle chaos but the toaster kept messing up with everyone in front of us and the only employee (the waffle maker) kept going back and fourth and fixing it (only for it to break with the next person) so that was annoying but we just went with it and finally sat and ate our breakfast, which again, was good. I wanted to address these issues with the front desk as we left, but of course- I get there and there’s a sign saying they are away at this time. I had messaged the property through booking.com and heard no response, now there isn’t any staff there to handle the issue/complaints.

The overall establishment is clean our room was ok, the environmental services staff needs to check behind an under stationary furniture, unfortunately we found moldy raisins and crumbs behind a small chest of drawers and candy wrappers under the bed and the tub floor was gray.

I was hoping for a King size bed, the room looked dated, there weren’t any extra sheets either. Bed wasn’t comfortable at all Everything.

Getting ready to shut my eyes and a huge cockroach made its appearance on the bed!!! I was sick, securing all my belonging and getting no sleep!

Eggs for the continental breakfast were bland and tasteless. In fact, I'm not convinced they were even real eggs.

Location and cleanliness were fine. I booked a king suite. I was supposed to have a king bed and a pull out couch. It was for myself, my husband, daughter and granddaughter. They gave us a room with only a king bed. No pull out couch. I ended up sleeping on the floor. Got little sleep and was very tired the next day.

I stayed 6 nights and atleast for 3 mornings the breakfast was the exact same, the 4th morning I decided to get breakfast elsewhere for the rest of tbe stay.

Complaint isnt about the facility or staff. The only problem was the constant heavy thudding from guests walking in other rooms all night from other guests.

The shower water was backward for hot and cold. Cold was hot and cold was hot. Suggestion: Do a trade out with a local gym. I like to lift weights, and hotel gyms do not have enough equipment.

The tub in my bedroom was dirty/stained with both red and black on the floor of tub. The hotel manager reported there was nothing he could do to fix this.

I only saw a paper on the counter about it. The manager did only charge me half the rate for 1 day. Pressure was extremely bad the next day also. Very disappointed.

I’ve stayed at similarly priced hotels and I would rate this a bit lower overall. I think it was overpriced and not as well maintained for its category. The cleanliness was good but there are several areas that get missed every time it’s cleaned I’m sure. The breakfast was great and filling. Staff was friendly and helpful. Just for the price, not worth it.

We checked in on Saturday, and went to take a shower Sunday morning and the shower handle was broke. Called the front desk and was told the maintenance man would be by in 20 minutes. So went and had breakfast came back up in about an hour, and still not fixed. But I assume that it was taken care of before the next guest checked in.

The dining staff was very kind and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure that we had what we needed. She made our breakfast times very comforting and relaxing.

The room was excellent except for the bathtub. The room appeared to be new or refurbished so that it looked new. The counter and sink in the bathroom looked new showing no signs of wear and use. The bathtub had a number imperfections that were oxidizing, needs to be sealed or replaced. They use a curved shower curtain rod that will not stay horizontal resulting in the shower curtain sliding downward allowing water to splash all over the floor.

The property is clean and nice to visit, the staff was very friendly. The pool was small but virtually unused. we spent alot of time and no one else came t swim in it. I would definitly stay here again.

The room was smaller than I thought but it was a great place to stay. One of the 2 ladies that set up the breakfast was super nice and the other was a little rude. The lady that was super nice it was very obvious she liked her just and knew the area very well and loved talking about it.I enjoyed talking to her very much!

Fire alarm went off during breakfast. Toast burned. You may want to change out the toaster to prevent that from happening - there are a few models that prevent that from happening

The free breakfast was absolutely phenomenal! Great selections including Gluten Free. The employee, Mary C., who prepared and serviced the buffet was an awesome lady! It was the best complimentary breakfast we have experienced in all our years of travel. The front desk staff was also great. Say hi to Mary C. if you see her!

The exterior of the hotel was nice but our room had mold under the sink which was not good for a family with allergies. I was disappointed in this from a Marriott property.

Our stay was comfortable and quiet. I recorded my longest night of sleep in 40 days. The only thing that could have been better was the morning breakfast assistant was pushy. She kept saying she had to do it. She was polite, but made us feel like a 2 year old.

Beautiful area, quiet. Staff was very nice and hospitable. Location was close to every place I needed to go during my visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Elizabeth City and when we come back we will stay at Fairfield Ibn again!

Bathroom was not very clean. Old dirty cup was left under the sink area. Shampoo bottles had fallen off the wall and left to sit on the tub. The placement of them in the shower is horrible. I can see why they have been knocked off the wall. Breakfast was good and staff was very nice.

The hotel and staff was very good, the room was nice and new. Location was also excellent and the Mexican Restaurant next door was a great option. Our only complaint was we did not know we had to request to have our room cleaned, we were out the entire day and returned to a uncleaned room with no new towels. If we had known we would have at least hung up our towels to use the following day. The night staff provided us with new towels and said its been this way since covid. I think it should be posted in the room somewhere that if you are staying more than one night you have to request housekeeping to tidy up the room and provide additional towels. But for the most part this was an excellent hotel.

We will definitely be back to stay! The staff from the front desk to the wonderful housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful!!! Can’t wait to come back!

The door to the room handle stuck A LOT. Everything else was good though they tried to chage me 19.95 X 2days for my wifi in my room that upset me. I quickly had them remove the wifi charge.

The walls are "paper thin" and conversations could be heard on both sides of our room which was very distracting. The floors in the room were terrible, we tried removing some of the filth but appears someone may have waxed over dirty areas along the baseboards. This made the bathroom appear very unclean.

Staff was extremely helpful. Had a squeaky AC and maintenance was there in less than 5 minutes to correct. Everyone very hospitable.
