    There was a $10 a day WiFi charge. No toiletries were available. There was no one working the front desk until I checked out. Check in was done remotely and room service offered turn down service and clean towels the second day only. No ice machine on the property and the vending machines that were available were it of order. But the silver lining was the price for my four night stay. If you looking for a cheap place to lay your head this place is definitely in budget

    I didn't meet any staff during my stay. The room was a bit dirty when I checked in. Dead bugs on the blinds, floor was sticky, used tissues in the bathroom counter and desk. There was something that appeared to be ash in the toilet daily when I returned from work. There wasn't much water pressure in the shower. The towels were slightly stained. It also felt like there were weak spots in the floor inside the room and in the hallways.

    We checked in late because of a late flight and had to check in through a kiosk with someone in India, I think. I could not understand the person, and he had trouble producing our room keys. Check in took about 15 minutes. The hallway carpet was horrifically dirty. I've never seen carpet that dirty before. The room itself was ok, but there was no soap, not even one of those little bars of soap that I typically don't use at other hotels. The television had four light spots in it. It should probably be replaced. But the price was right! I guess you get what you pay for. Whenever there were actual staff members present, they were friendly and helpful.

    I did not like anything. Only I like that they did not charge me for extended check out There is no reception area, no coffee for guest. Location is remote. Cleaning of a going on lift cleaning with strong odor. Carpets are dirty. Window curtains not working. They have given kitchen but no utensils. Horrible even any one ask to stay here as free do not stay.

    From the floor in the hallway looking like they have never been cleaned to the bedroom being a disaster the bed was not changed, there were dirty towels in the floor trash cans were empty but trash on the table. Needless to say we didnt stay here.

    we booked the rule through Expedia, which was confirmed however, upon arrival to the location, we was met with not staff personnel by a kiosk machine with a monitor set up. We spoke with our person at a remote location that informed us that there was no rooms available however I asked why we wasn’t notified or did they have our contact information they said yes we have your email as well as your telephone number that you used to book the reservation and so I request and ask again why was we notified about this? The lady did not answer the question assuming that she might not know the reason that we was notified so I asked her she sent me a email confirming about the cancellation so she sent me an email. However this was quite disturbing considering we had got there roughly about 130 in the morning. my major issue is you have our contact information why you didn’t just have the courtesy to let us know that there was no room available or was you hoping that we did not show up since we had said we was gonna be a late arrival and just hope you could just charges for a room that you didn’t even have available. That’s the reason that is getting a wood star.

    Booked 3 nights left 2 hrs after check in. This hotel has residents (long term renters) bbq grills, people hanging out, WiFi not included! Only 2 flat pillows on a queen bed. Even though it was a suite with stove and fridge, you had to rent dishes. Fridge was covered with rust. Would not recommend!

    Not what I expected, my room had infestation of stink bugs and spiders that just had a lot of baby spiders in it when I first checked in. I had to buy my own bug spray, toilet was not up to par, no light under microwave (also a big crack on the microwave was already there) location was horrible because it’s right next to a major truck stop so it gets really busy from early morning which I work 12hr 3rd shift so I’m exhausted by the time I get back to the room and it’s very hard to go to sleep on top of that the manager came banging on my door like a mad woman. I understand I smoked a short of a cigarette (I admit it and own) but she had absolutely no right talk to me in any way she saw fit. There still needs to be some level of professionalism whenever conversing with customers. And everyday I smelled weed when I would head towards the lobby or taking the stairs but she wanted to talk to me rudely and in an extremely condescending tone and then asks one of the housekeepers to pull out her phone not knowing that I was already recording on my phone and I have it on my portable cctv camera in the room. Which I always take with me when I travel for work. (Continued) i always take pics and go around my room with my portable cctv camera and record the state of my room just encase if hotels try to blame anything on me, right after checking in. I told my company’s (HR department and corporate) I work for never to use Wood Spring Suites in Duncan, SC on frontage road again. I was the only one that remained poised and professional during the encounter with the manager (or so she claimed to be) who knows because just about everyone there doesn’t wear uniforms or even name tags. Which I have recordings of that too. Completely unprofessional glad I left (on my own will not be returning under any circumstances.) sorely disappointed I ABSOLUTELY refuse to deal with mean, surly and unprofessional people like that.

    The best thing about the property was the location to the place i was working. When you did get to see the staff they were amazing and helpful Common areas were extremely dirty, hallway carpet stained. Loud screaming and banging all night. No staff at front desk past a certain times. The room looked nothing like the pictures. I have stayed in barracks that were better than this hotel and if you know you know. I paid for the whole month yet every week they would lock me out and I had to explain every week that I had paid. I ended up checking out early, didn’t even get a refund for that and at this point don’t care but I would NEVER recommend this hotel.

There was black mold growing on the handicap shower seat. While using the sink something fell out of the bottom of it… some kind of bidet attachment that was hidden back there and sent water spilling onto the floor. The floor everywhere was sticky and when we would wipe anything off the paper towel would come back dirty from wiping up clean water. There were black hairs under the covers at the bottom of the bed. I booked through Expedia which showed a $10 pet fee and $50 pet deposit. Deposit to me means you get the money back. Nope! It’s non-refundable. While checking in, the Internet went out and the desk clerk had to leave for ten minutes before he could finish checking us in. Super nice guy but we will never stay there again. My clothes all came back smelling like smoke in a non-smoking room.

    I didnt realize(my own fault) that this was a long term stay, upon arrive i had to door dash cleaning supplies as the bathroom mirror and sink was not clean so i couldnt trust the tub or toilet. I also had to clean the grease off the front of the microwave. The residents leave the outside doors propped open for anyone to walk in. If you looking for a cheap stay this is it. If you want it to be clean and safe this is not it. The staff was great and the bed were clean but as i said not quite what i would like. You get what you pay for.

    When we arrived to the hotel there was a group of men standing around the front door. My husband thought it may be security but they were quite rowdy and appeared to be drinking. You had to walk through this large group of men to get through the front door to check in. Wasn't very welcoming to say the least. When i get to the front the girl says that housekeeping hasnt been doing a good job recently and to let her know if we needed anything. Off to a great start, right. We get up to our room and it doesnt look like the floors have even been swept. There's literally one pillow, one single towel and everything was grimey. Didn't even bother to call down to the desk. Never again.

    No coffee maker, if I wanted one, I would have had to pay $24.99 for it, no housekeeping until after we checked out, no free wifi, and the people above our room were very loud and although we complained about it every day, nothing was done and on the weekend their were people in front of the hotel were very loud. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

    I didn’t get to stay. I made reservations for a smoke free room. When I got there, room wasn’t ready so was asked to come back in an hour. Went back and only had smoking rooms available.

    My room door would not lock.You could open without the electronic room key. That means anyone could enter after I let. All they said was they were unable to fix it. They charge an additional $100.00 “refundable”deposit I still have yet to receive 2 weeks later! The room had not been “cleaned”. Bottle caps in bathroom and candy wrappers in bedroom area. Don’t stay here!

    Not clean, no towels in the bathrooms, floors very dirty. Smells like marijuana when you open the front door. I would recommend paying 10-15$ more and stay somewhere else down the road.

    Room wasn’t as nice as pictures made them look. Too many light switches and not enough lights. Had smoking room yet no ashtray in room very thin doors could hear anything coming down halls. No carts to use. Also called to verify pet deposit and was told $50, yet at check in I was informed of it being$50/per dog so I was forced to pay $159 just for my dogs???! I could have went to a much nicer place at that price.

    Someone finally arrived and we got checked in Open the door and the room smelled really bad almost a really dab moisturizer odor Windows dirty and stained with moisture stains No bathroom towel or washcloths and the shower curtain smelled sour We were waken up from our sleep very early in the am from other rooms with loud noises and after deciding to just check out and got in the common area it was smoking and even so on the elevator 😩 Definitely not worth the 100.00 dollars No washcloths or towels in the bathroom

    This hotel is not honest. They tried to ask us to pay for a broken TV but we did not even turn on that TV, the stay is for business purpose and the guests are Chinese, do not speaking English. We tried to explain to them but they still charged it to our credit card on file. It is under dispute now.

    I didn't like that not enough towels were provided. I didn't like that room service for cleaning was biweekly only. I didn't like being in the room next to the laundry because i couldn't sleep due to other guests being loud in there at 2 am. I did appreciate friendly staff. I did like room amenities such as stove and fridge.

    This property gave me a bad and unsafe feeling as soon as I pulled in. While the front desk staff were fairly friendly (and accommodating when I said I couldn't stay there and needed a refund), that was the only part about the entire experience that was even close to ok. I was told I had a non-smoking room, however, upon opening the door the smell that greeted me was as if someone had smoked in that room for 40 years, had never opened a window and then died. It was the worst hotel room I had ever walked into and not only will I NEVER stay there, I will never even consider a WoodSpring Suites property in the future. Also, I'll make sure everyone I know is aware that this place shouldn't even be considered for a last resort.

    No amenities except a bar of soap. Only 2 hardback chairs to sit in double bed. AC wasn’t the greatest. Commode ran all night and someone burnt their dinner which set off alarms and filled the place with smoke. Uncomfortable night. Would not stay here again.

Do not waste your time and money. $95/night is NOT a good deal (maybe $20 a night is more appropriate), when you can go nextdoor to the Holiday Inn for an extra $30 a night.

    Two things. 1) this is an extended stay hotel, which I wasn't aware of when the Orbitz rep suggested it. All in all, that's fine. Not a big deal to me. Just know that it means you're essentially staying in a dorm room with a full-size fridge and cooktop. Coffee? Bring your own. Food? Bring your own. 2) the smoke alarm went off at 4 a.m. and had all the appearances of a drill. Once that alarm sounded, staff was immediately in the hallway blowing whistles. A fire truck showed up with no firefighters, just the driver. This was an exceptionally frustrating experience; I should have slept in my car at a rest stop. I picked up my stuff and left by 4:10 a.m. Walking out the door, the hotel staffer apologized and said something about how "it happens." I'm not exactly sure what she said as I was still half asleep and angry. I read reviews after the fact and saw others posting about the fire alarm going off.

    The property was in a pristine location for us.     I cannot answer but two of the above on your survey. I had a most unsatisfactory experience with this hotel, and was compelled to cancel my reservation before arriving. It was one of the most unnerving and disappointing situations I have experience in all my travels. I was in a new town, and my GPS was not working properly. I was in Friday afternoon heavy traffic, when I called as asked for directions so I could go straight there and check-in. I finally reached the front desk, told the attendant my problem, and asked (before I begged) for simple directions to the facility. I gave my location -- a major boulevard some 15-20 mins from the hotel -- and the individual could give me NO clue as to get there. A supervisor called out to her from a distance, ordering her to "have me call back later". That is NOT proper customer service. It was insulting and not the proper way to handle such a request. I will NEVER consider this property again.

    I had a non-smoking room reserved and got to the hotel earlier than anticipated at 11.00 and wanted to make sure it suited my needs. Didn't ask for early checkin at the time, but was told immediately no rooms are available until 3.00. So, seriously, no rooms at all until 3 in a 120 room hotel??? No problem, agree to be back later thinking they now know I am coming back I will have a room. Back at exactly 3.00pm, I am told that they now only have 1 room available on 3rd floor, not mentioning it is a SMOKING room. I had worked the whole night, wasted time whole day waiting for the room, so had no choice but to take this room as I didn't want to drive around looking for one. Pointless, as I had an asthma attack from the smoke smell in the room, went to work at 3.00pm with ALL my clothes smelling like smoke etc. and just had to wash every item I had with me. If I was there earlier, you would think they could save me a decent room if they told me to only come back at 3. Obviously other people got to check in earlier. So, even though the property has a lot going for it compared to others, these events were unacceptable and I would not recommend them to anyone. (Vending machine out of order and no in room or lobby coffee either a downer). My rating therefore would be a 0/

    I had a non-smoking room reserved and got to the hotel earlier than anticipated at 11.00 and wanted to make sure it suited my needs. Didn't ask for early checkin at the time, but was told immediately no rooms are available until 3.00. So, seriously, no rooms at all until 3 in a 120 room hotel??? No problem, agree to be back later thinking they now know I am coming back I will have a room. Back at exactly 3.00pm, I am told that they now only have 1 room available on 3rd floor, not mentioning it is a SMOKING room. I had worked the whole night, wasted time whole day waiting for the room, so had no choice but to take this room as I didn't want to drive around looking for one.     This property feels like a cross between a halfway house and a refugee shelter. The furniture in the cell--ooops I meant room, was a cheap plastic chair and a metal bed. There was no coffee anywhere. There was no lobby. There was not so much as a plastic cup, or a spoon in the room. At least there was toilet tissue...

    On our scheduled check-in date we were refused service because they were installing new countertops in the lobby so they unhooked all of the computers. Who does that? Leave one station running so you can check in your scheduled reservations. Then we discovered roaches in the rooms and hallways. Absolutely disgusting place.

    The hotel itself was clean and all but the manager is a trash individual. I called expedia be ause the room above and beside me were loud all night and kept my son up. She then LIED and said she would do nothing because someone complained about my son’s service dog aying all night and running around the room. I asked her who suddenly complained because i wanted to hear it for myself. My dog is trained to be quiet and calm and not to play so I know she was lying. She told me no lol and said she would not renew my reservation and called the cops to escort me off the premises. Police came and did nothing because they agreed she was wrong. Icalled corporate amd they told me she changed her story and said the complaint was for the dog pacing but even that doesnt make sense because theres no way people heard her pacing (IF SHE WAS) in another room amd with my tv on as it was. Just not a good person amd not service dog or ADA friendly. Corporate was in touch with me the entire time until they were supposed to speak to whoever complained and never called me back because Im sure there was nobody who complained. Awful people

    Very secure and a nice, quiet location. Purchased for the Spartanburg Spartan race. Only bad part was the sole flea I found on the bed and the smell of fellow Spartan's food cooking next to me.

    Ended up canceling this reservation and having to find a new hotel. Reserved a non smoking room, upon checkin, was told that we were getting a smoking room as a big group checked in the day before. Bad business practice. If we reserved a specific room, we should receive what we reserved.

    The lights were falling out of the ceiling and over our bed! It was too late to switch our room - we were tired from our drive. Not a good experience. Leisure and corporate business should know. The hotel staff knows of the issue - so why is this happening? And it looks like mold around the bathroom ceiling exhaust.

    Way overpriced for what it is. I had to stay here as every hotel around Spartanburg was booked. No hair dyer in the room!!! Makes it an emergency in the morning to look presentable, especially when there is nothing open in the morning that sells one. No maid service either. Cheap beds, cheap bedding, gross carpet in the rooms. No clean towels after day 1. Awful - I left & found another room elsewhere my last day, thank goodness. Scary parking.

    My elderly father stayed here for a week and was treated warmly and respectfully by all the employees. They were truly compassionate and willing to go out of their way to be helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate one iota about letting him stay here again. The room was also clean and comfortable. The only minus was not having eating utensils, pots and pans, etc but we knew this ahead of time and brought our own but I can imagine that would be quite disconcerting to someone who wasn’t aware. Overall, we were quite pleased with this place.

    My stay at a 40$ a night room was better than this place they have the cheapest beds and pillows you can buy. You can’t get anyone at the front desk on the phone they do room service once every 2 weeks they say but I know they came in my room bc the messed with the ac. Never will I stay here again and if you see this don’t waste ur money bc you will be highly disappointed

    The room was not clean. There were strange stains on the walls of the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen area. Nothing of daily use is in the room. I had to go to the front desk to get an iron and ironing board. There was not even a hair dryer available at the front desk to use. If you go here bring Clorox wipes and all the essentials that you take for granted at other hotels. You will need them.

    We booked this hotel based off reviews and cost. We received a call the day we are to check in that the hotel was overbooked and they had moved us to another location. The reason for the over booking was that guests that were already there staying deiced to extend their stay so along with our reservation and 4 others we were moved.

    The staff was wonderful! It would have been nice to be able to sit, even if a stool, while in the Laundry room. (We needed a place to stay while relocati ng.) GREAT place to stay!

    No so great experience. Room was okay and not that clean. Also, the air-conditioner was loud and was unable to catch any good night sleep during my two day stay. Not worth the price they are charging.

    First night was a little loud in the hall, doors opening and closing all night. After that it was fine but only after the 3rd day did I see anyone for clean towels and sheets. It was worth the money and I would stay again.
