    The older woman at the front desk was very rude and seemed upset anytime you asked for help. My husband and I asked for 2 forks and were told they don’t carry them, but what about the plastic forks used for breakfast? The woman at the bar was extremely rude and we will never be returning to the art bar due to her disrespect. We asked for forks since the front desk didn’t have any and we were told they were only for paying customers after we had already spent our whole afternoon at the bar PAYING for drinks and plenty of food. We were deeply disappointed with the staff and quality of the hotel as there were any roaches inside of room and the staff was extremely rude.

    “Wouldn’t stay there again” in the middle or the start of a renovation which we didn’t know. Our floor carpet smelled stale opening the suit door to room smelled awful (very strong) carpet smell like a chemical use for dry cleaning. Toilet seat loose towel rack falling off. Went to the pool to go swimming got to the entrance inside pool area dog poop and urine smell in different area’s water( floor ) Green. Some staff did a god job but others just ok. Oh yes! when you arrive to temporary main entrance door, door very dirty main entrance being renovated and only one door opens (two doors to entry) walking through to the front desk is clean. Clean Restaurant/ bar, staff did a great job in service. Parking on weekends hard to fine a space you will have to walk a distance to entrance.

    Absolutely love this hotel just to get away, you feel as if you’re out of town . So clean, so spacious, privacy as you can only get in the elevator with your key cards, has all the amenities. 10/10 recommend .

    We stayed 6 nights and housekeeping never visited our room. It states that they visit after the third night. We had to request more towels. Also, the thermostat did not work correctly. I am glad that we only slept there and did not spendy any actual time at the property.

    Front office staff should try to be a little nicer or friendlier that would really help the overall experience. It would help customers feel welcomed to the property rather than feeling very dismissed.

    The hotel is being renovated, but it was fairly quiet. The walls are very thin, you can hear people in the next room or on the hallways. Breakfast is not included, we were told we had to pay even though we had a suite. They also don’t tell you there is a 50 dollar deposit up front. We were told we would get it back, but never did. The rooms were clean and well maintained since they are newer. The staff is friendly Z

    Our room looked nice, updated and the hotel did too. The staff was polite and helpful. Unfortunately the hotel's indoor pool was COLD, had trash floating in it, the plaster was dirty or discolored and the lights were off. It was unusable and so was the jacuzzi. It even had an out of order sign and plywood covering it up. Our room was not stocked with coffee and the coffee pot was missing parts on it also. We went down to get coffee but we would have been charged $3.15 for your normal pump coffee. We thought breakfast was included but it wasn't and would have cost us an additional $13.50 per person. The AC barely cooled the room. It says 65 but you can't even use a cover when sleeping to sleep comfortably. It never did get cool and we stayed 3 days/2 nights.

    a nice place to stay, they’re still doing some renovations. The only issue was an intoxicated male was beating down his room door to get in at 5am, I guess he listened his card key and the person he was expecting to let him in didn’t. That woke everyone up on the hall. I was sleeping good up until then.

    Our stay was amazing! The staff were friendly, and the rooms were very clean—even with the construction going on. I did have two small suggestions: the doors could sit a bit closer to the floor for added privacy, and the motion‑censored lights under the bed would benefit from a control switch so guests can fully manage them (on/off and brightness levels). Other than that, we truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend visiting.

    The pool was under maintenance, dirty areas close to the pool. The gym has a mirror broken and all parts are around the floor It is a hazard for any guest. The room smelled too bad and maintenance in some floors are needed.

    The hotel is under construction, which is good because it appears to have had water damage. It was noticeable on the 4th floor where our room was and in the bottom level where the gym was. The furnishings were also older and outdated. On the plus side, the water pressure was amazing and the bottles for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash worked well. (I've noticed in a lot of places those bottles are hard to use and you can barely get anything out.)

    This Sonesta was surprisingly clean. The staff was very pleasant during my stay both night and day shift. There was a young Black man who worked overnight (Dale) who provided excellent customer service. The only issue I had was the pool not being clean and not being advised that we had to pay for breakfast. Other than that our room was nice and clean. The hotel was also in a nicer area as well.

    We had the unfortunate experience of having cockroaches in our room and subsequently in our luggage. There was was problems with hot water two out of three mornings with absolutely no hot water on the last day. They were remodeling so there was a little debris and messiness associated with that. We were offered a breakfast compensation, but were unable to try that out. So nothing to say for dining except that the lounge was real nice.

    The staff were wonderful! Most of them have been there there for decades! The hotel is under construction so there was a little noise during the day. However, we stayed in a brand new room and it was so nice! I will definitely be stay there again next month when I come back through!

    The initial impression of our room was above average but declined. The first time using the bathroom I noticed a bug crawling up the wall. I captured it and dispatched it quickly. It was a silverfish. I did not tell my wife as I felt it was a one-off situation. The next morning as we were about to leave my wife spotted a cockroach crawling along the carpet about a foot from the end of the bed. She dispatched it quickly while saying, "I am glad I did not see that last night"! I am too because we would have been searching for a new place to stay. We can tolerate other small things but not small bugs in our room. Again, it is unfortunate that we had the bugs because we could have rated the property better.

    Whoever checked me in was the most unpleasant front desk agent I ever encountered. Older white lady with shorter hair just downright does not belong in customer service. The website says they have a hot tub they don’t and haven’t had one in years!! Pool look nasty anyway. Walls chipped dirty carpet in halls restaurant stinks didn’t even stay total waste.

    This place needs a full renovation BAD. The chief engineer was nice enough to help us get a new room with an actual heating/air unit after the front desk staff was less than helpful.     Went to get in the shower..... bath gel dispenser empty, shampoo dispenser empty. I had to jump out and call the front desk 45 minutes later i just wondered the floor until i found a dude in housekeeping who gave me the dispensers from the room he was cleaning. Saturday night and sunday morning there was no hot water. The shower rood was being held together with duct tape. The hallways smelled nasty. Someone was smoking weed in one of the rooms.

    There is no breakfast bar unless you are a member of Sonata and as far as the bar, the bartender was amazing. I didn’t get her name, but there wasn’t a very busy bar for that type of hotel being that it was in the high 80s in May you would think they would’ve opened either the indoor pool outdoor pool something and nothing was open. Nothing was clean. We had issues where the shower wood gurgle into the sink. There was a smell in the building as far as the staff I never saw housekeeping ever and if I wanted anything clean, I had to go downstairs and get it myself. I would never stay there again. Another couple left also.

    My flight came in early so I went to check in early. The person at the front was so rude!(sabena) she told me the price and I said yes and she was like “ you didn’t say anything “… she put me in a room that smelled like weed! There was no remote for the TV in the room. I’ve stayed at Sonesta before… this is not the standard!!!

    From the time I arrived until I left this was the best hotel stay I’ve had. Mae at the front desk made sure I had a newer room since I arrived too early for checkin. Even with a convention being held there, she made sure my stay was not interrupted. The room was nice & very clean. Just lovely.

    Very old on the outside. Lots of dirt and grime in corners and floor boards. Room was brand new and great but the rest of the hotel needs to be updated to match. The restaurant was also subpar food and non existent service. Also needs to be update especially the patio looked abandoned.

    Room smelled like straight smoke. I went immediately back to the front desk to ask for the different room the lady wanted to send a cleaner just to spray some type of solution which only made it worse. I had to leave and check into another hotel because the staff wouldn’t change my room. The front desk told me that they control who smokes or don’t. Never will I stay again

    I forgot to alert front desk on my departure that the toilet in my room could have been cleaned. Good thing I travel with clean products, but there was fecal matter stuck in the canal, and it was very to remove. Also, the toilet will be needing some work because if I didn't jiggle the handle, it would have kept running. I loved that the room and beds have sensor lighting. More specifically, there were sensor lights underneath/around the bed, but I had to get maintenance to turn them off because the sensors weren't working because the lights kept me up most of the night. The hotel has an indoor/outdoor pool. Unfortunately, this pool doesn't open until Memorial Day weekend. IMO, Indoor pools should be open all year like many hotels who have indoor pools. All in all, I would stay there again.

    The food was good at the bar. Just know the updated nice room are on the foors 1 thru 15 . Unfortunately we had an old run down room when my sister had a complete re model lavish room. It was complete difference. When I check out and voice my concerns about the bathroom tub issues and the room itself the hotel manager really didn't care. So just as a heads up ask for the rooms on 1-15.

    Originally I was put in a room that haven't been remodeled since the 80s. The room was on the third floor and it was horrible. My sister had a room on the fourth floor which was worst than my room. Once I complained, I was moved the next day to the 11th floor where the rooms are being renovated. Those rooms were alot better. Also the customer service representative at the front desk was rude, I believe her name was Sabina or something. She was a middle aged W/F. If you stay at this hotel be sure to ask for a renovated room. The pictures on the website are deceiving.

There was a mixup made where my employee name wasn’t added to the reservation and instead of helping out over the phone, they required I work with Expedia.     The hotel will look amazing once all the renovations are completed, however the room I stayed in looked very nice however. Due to the renovations, debris from the work that was done on floors prior was coming through the HVAC vent which caused for a horrible stay coughing all night, eyes itching. I don’t believe it was a house keeping issue I think maintenance was supposed to do a thorough cleaning of the vents. I spoke with the manager on duty and they advise that I would receive a full refund. I’m still waiting on that.

    Changed room two times: the first room did not have hot water and there was construction going on just above our room. The second room had no cold water, literally hot water coming out of the cold water knob and could not wash our hands with warm water or brush our teeth with cold water. We actually tried a third room but the motor in the AC system blew. We were told our room could not be discounted because we booked through a third party.

    Had no hot water, and the shower spout was not in good shape had very poor coverage and pressure. The place itself is starting to show its age, and could use an upgrade and face lift, starting to show mold in bathroom. No pool access either, could not access hottub either. Also I booked an extra night in error through Hotels.com only realizing this at the time of check-in and the Desk Manager denied cancellation as it was already prepaid with Hotels.com. The hotel would not budge on this, people make mistakes it's not like I didn't pay for it as well, I just wanted a refund for the extra night that I was not staying. No such luck. I won't be staying here again.

    Cold showers and hotel is old needing renovations. I asked the front desk attendant to have someone check the water in my room. No one came. Literally the water was on for 15 minutes and it was still cold. When we were checking out we asked for a cart and they told us they only have a hand full of carts. If you like cold showers and it’s 49 degrees outside this is the place for you.

    The conditioner was completely out. My hair suffered and I had to painfully pull rats nests out of my hair later in the day. The toilet ran loudly all night. I put the bathroom fan in to drown out the whiney pipes around 2am. There is crown molding around the room that was damaged in multiple places. I know they are doing some remodeling, so hopefully this is why.

    Staff was very nice. But had several disappointing things happen, one being I was woken up early on Saturday morning by security asking if I was with some party that was happening in some room on our floor that also kept me up half the night. Woke me and my elderly husband up the NEXT morning asking if it was us. That was having a party in the middle of the night. That was just the tip of the iceberg. Will never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone again.

    When I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that I could not check in due to my age. My father was physically present with me at the hotel, and I immediately requested that the room be placed under his name instead. This request was denied, despite the fact that he met all age requirements and was willing to take responsibility for the room. There was a disconnect between hotels.com and Sonesta and neither would allow me to change the booking name. As a result, I was unable to use the room at all and lost $150 due to an undisclosed policy. Being offered only $30 as a refund is unacceptable, especially since this issue stemmed from a lack of clear information on the original listing—not from any mistake on my part. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing.

    Walking in the hotel seems very nice very clean. Walked up to the desk to check in. I said hello and the girl goes yes in a not so nice tone. She didn’t talk. Didn’t say anything about the hotel. Didn’t mention any amenities the bar nothing just handed you your key and a piece of paper. But while I was waiting to check in and she was doing what she needed to do the phone ring she answered it and just said Sonesta hold, and I believe the person kept talking to her, and she was rolling her eyes like she was just disgusted to do her job. Before I went up to my room, I stopped in the gift shop and the lady in there was super nice and helpful. When I got to my room, it was a fairly new remodel room seemed very clean. It was caught. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was not very clean. It had hair on the walls. It had pew hair on the walls. I don’t understand how hotels that have hands sprayers the cleaning. People don’t spray down the walls. The trap in the shower was also full of hair. Other than that, it was very quiet very peaceful.

    The property had signs that they were having construction done. We thought it couldn't be that bad.. We check into our room and immediately start hearing what sounds like someone directly above us with a jack hammer just banging on pipes or something?! It was so loud. When it was quiet we could hear them drop a nail or screw. Imagine how loud the jack hammer sound was. We could barely hear each other speaking. One of the mornings of our stay we heard a very loud banging sound inside the walls that woke us and our child up. The overall cleanliness of the room was 2/10. The shower was dirty and sink area looked like someone wiped it with a dirty towel. The bathroom area had a smell and the bathroom fan didn't work so after a shower (that didn't properly drain by the way.. so every shower you're actually taking a bath) but after every shower/unintentional bath you would make your room humid and muggy because the bathroom fan wouldn't work. The bathroom sink also didn't drain properly. The staff we met all seemed annoyed. Overall the area where the hotel is was convenient. Close to the highway and restaurants. Close to costco and hmart. But when we visit the area next we will not consider this property. Also we were charged bogus fee's AFTER we checked out.. They said it was required by georgia laws and some other excuses for fee's but we weren't told when booking that there would be hidden fee's. Save your money and book a cleaner, quieter, and happier/friendlier staff hotel.

    I think the facility is OK it’s nice and clean. The problem that I had is the night that I stay I think the heater broke no matter what temperature I put it in even up to 78 the only air blowing out was just cold air. So I ended up turning off the air completely after one hour of the cold air blowing. I end up sleeping in the cold the whole night.

    But this last stay really changed how we feel. We always make sure that breakfast is included before we book, we triple check every time. That’s happened before and the concierge called hotels.com to confirm, and it’s always been included. When we went down for breakfast, we were told we weren’t on the list and that we’d have to pay $50. We went back to the front desk and were just told, flat out, it wasn’t included. No offer to check or help. We ended up skipping it completely and drove four hours home with no food or coffee because we didn’t have the extra money for it. If you are putting in for free breakfast to be included with your reservation, it likely will not be despite that it’s listed. (Even during review, I was asked about the FREE breakfast!) It was incredibly disappointing, especially after all the times we’ve stayed here and chosen this hotel over more convenient options. We’ve never really felt appreciated as returning guests, but we kept coming back because we liked it regardless. We even brought our grandmother this time to show her why we loved it, and instead, she left with a bad impression. We won’t come back. Returning guests should feel appreciated, not brushed off.

    Was dirty and had the previous guest personal items in the bathroom I notified housing keeping the housekeeping staff didn’t understand English and the hotel does not clean the room if your stay isn’t atleast 4 days I would think they would atleast make things right they wouldn’t endive me cleaning supplies to atleast clean the dirty toilet that had dirty stains all over the lid and seat

    Drink menus wasn’t bad and the staff was nice. Restaurant was dated with a very limited menu and high priced for cold food and greasy fish. Parking spaces were dangerously close some with trees and planters that could tear up a bumper but clean.

    They were remodeling the rooms from the top down. We got a terrible room that was very old, felt dirty, and smelled like cigarettes. I asked for a new and was moved, no problem and the guy at the front desk was cool about it.

    The ease of checking in was good. The hotel exterior and interior is clean. The are is good. The city of Duluth has tons of restaurants and shops and it’s 12 miles from the Mall of Georgia. Now….the room not so much. The hotel room was clean HOWEVER; no toiletries came with the room, the shower does not have a space for you to store your bar soap or body wash. You have to place it on the floor. Who wants to put their belongings on the floor?! The a/c unit stayed on cold air and there wasn’t an option to move it to heat. When you put the thermostat on 78 the air blew cold and and it blew all day and night. There’s N overflow parking lot but no one tells you that! You have to drive around and find out

    Our room was clean but it was different than some of the photos (maybe it wasn’t renovated?) Parking was super easy and free, which is definitely a big plus, and it’s in a good location so driving into Atlanta was easy, and taking a ride to our concert was quick. The hotel store seemed like it had odd hours, which made grabbing a snack a little hard, and housekeeping didn’t visit our room while we were there, but other than that, it was good!

    Only stayed one night. Apparently the floor above us was getting renovated. From check in until approximately 6pm there was constant hammering and what sounded like someone was running an oscillating multi tool constantly. This started again at 8 the next morning which was unpleasant after a late concert event. The breakfast however was phenomenal.

    What they don't tell you, is that they have construction on the 9th floor starting at 9:30am until almost 6-7pm. They should have a disclaimer on the booking page if construction is being done. We stayed on the 5th floor, but could very audibly hear the sound of jackhammers almost 4 floors down. Walls are thin and made of paper. Very dissappointed in the fact that they do not disclose such important information.

    Vehicle was broken into during my stay in their parking lot. Staff isn’t the friendliest with the exception of Sabina who was super friendly and helpful. Room was fine for the cost of the stay. Looks like they are in the middle of renovations so take that into consideration. Overall it was decent but you definitely get what you pay for (it was cheap).

    When we checked in the staff at the front desk where friendly and welcoming., got into the room smelled like smoke and the ac didn’t work had to wait forever for maintenance to come and tighten something for it work I had babies and it was very miserable extremely hot.! I just feel like they need to either leave the air on in the rooms or make sure it works before someone spends all there money when traveling from a different state you just want to relax and not have to wait on somebody to come fix something

    The rooms are outdated, nothing like the pictures the bathroom room it was dirty the wallpaper on the walls its dirty with spots on them. Then room carpet its so gross that you walk barefoot inside the room and you feet are black. The beds are not queens beds they are more like full size beds. Small for two adults to sleep in. The room smell so much to bleach that i had allergies. The Hallways carpet had dirty spots and bleach on the carpet. Needs more cleaning overall. The pool was freezing and the jacuzzi was closed with plywood on top and plants all around. Not much to do if you have kids.

    Had to change rooms three times. Several of the rooms reeked of cigarette smoke. The smoke detector needed a new battery and was beeping. The maintenance man left his tool cart and beverage in the second set of rooms. Then when I brought to his attention, he said he removed it and was okay to enter. I said no, the room has to be cleaned. The third set of rooms, again a room reeked of cigarette smoke and the had hair on the toilet.

    Breakfast with a price but buffet style was nice. The was restaurant you can walk across road to get to, they had a vending machines and a restaurant inside as an option as well. The bed was very nice compared to all the places I’ve been to so far! Everything was clean and staff was nice but the place is a bit confusing and the key cards for security reasons is great and all besides the fact it’s hard to get the scanner to read them for your floor number to be selected but other helped me with that!     The carpet by the bathroom was drenched with water before we even got to take a shower. And tbe last night we stayed there was construction above our room that woke us up and it lasted for hours.     Absolutely don’t recommend. The entire hotel apparently had no towels. We asked housekeeping, they had none. The pool had none. Called the front desk, they said they would send some up but they never came after waiting about an hour. I finally went to the front desk (had two freezing kids because the pool is ice cold being an outdoor pool in August and there were no towels down there) and they said they’d send them up. I told them I’d already been waiting for some to be sent up. They said sorry about that, but I still didn’t get any towels. Water fountains don’t work and they don’t put out the water dispenser on the weekends (that makes no sense?!). The water fountains also don’t work and the gym water was empty. Whole hotel smells like w33d. Hotels.com said we would get two buffet tickets per day and the hotel knew nothing about that. They finally agreed to give me one ticket a day when there were 3 of us. The first morning, the buffet worker was rude, when we walked up to the counter he snarked that the buffet was not complementary… I never insinuated that it was. I handed him the ticket and he was like oh go ahead. Overall staff was nice aside from the one restaurant worker. Seems like it used to be a really nice hotel due to its size and ballrooms etc. but is quite run down now. There was a fight next door to our room Saturday morning that woke me up from around 5-7. Front desk was called but it didn't stop them. Definitely not our best experience and we travel often.

The pool was filthy & full of debris, the indoor outdoor plexy glass separation looked like it hasn’t been touched since installing, and the “spa” was boarded up like a crime scene. Parking spots were very small, and the grounds needed trash pick up. Hotel is not well kept. Rooms gave a 90’s motel vibe - with no trash bags, no tub towel to stand on after the shower, and odd placements of light switches. Oh and a wonderful view of the roof right outside my room. The only thing positive about this 1-night stay (thank God it was just 1-night) was that some things were conveniently located around it (stores/food/gas). Oh, and I got a lovely checkout “show”as another guest cursed out the staff about her dissatisfaction- so I dropped my key & ran as the irate guest continued to escalate. Mind you this staff member was alone.. she even called security & no one came. At least not before I exited & loaded my vehicle. Just stay somewhere else!

    Unfortunately, when you walk into the hotel it smells. I stayed in a room where the carpet was not the cleanest. The bathroom and furniture were subpar and dated. There was construction taking place right above me at 7am-banging, drilling, etc. I did call and complain and they gave me a late checkout. Don’t waste your money. I can see why they have a 3-star rating.

    I booked this room on third party website. I do believe i got downgraded room. Because everything looked old and outdated in the room. Laps, headboard and furniture. Wish I could have booked through the hotel itself. 2&1/2 star

    The room has a dead roach on the floor and overall the room wasn't feel clean and the air doesn't feel fresh. Breakfast was the only good thing.

    Lobby was clean, and the swimming pool was decent. But the room was old and had musty smell. Bed was uncomfortable and had lumps in the middle. I do not believe we will be going back to this hotel due to old room smell and cleanliness issue.
