Love location at beach and pool is a little over crowded. Can head to serenity pool if what a little quieter.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights, it was the most beautiful resort we’ve been to in a while, fairly affordable with excellent restaurants & the pool & beach access were amazing. The service by the pool was outstanding. The drinks and food were very good. The amenities were great. I have to say I loved the shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided in the room, it was better than anything I’ve ever used in my life. When we needed towels, we were able to get them immediately. The only complaint that we had was that the hallway smelled like dog we would open our door to go anywhere and all we smelled was a very strong scent of wet dog. It was nasty and it was there in the whole entire hallway. It did not go away before we left. Very disappointing ! We are dog lovers however, when we go to a hotel, we don’t expect to smell other people’s dogs.

The bathroom shower in our room was clogged and water pressure was absolutely horrible so my suggestion is that they need to keep the property better cause they are charging for the room a lot of money for those rooms

Concerns of bed bugs

This place was very nice and in a great location. The only downside was the AC went out and maintenance came to the room at 7:30am so we just ended up checking out due to the noise. The website led me to believe you could get a cabana on the beach but I was told by an employee that they had no affiliation with the beach and that we needed to find our own rentals. Overall it was a great experience and I will deffinitely go back.

I was assigned the same room as on my previous visit, and the room did not have a clear ocean view. High concrete balcony wall in the room. Not ideal.

Not impressed with this property. Expected more attention to details. Amenities promised were nonexistent. The market place that was supposed to have cookies always completely empty no matter what time of day. Staff contradicted saying restock was in the AM or other staff advising restocked in the evening. If this is an amenity it should be stocked throughout the day and evening or just don’t offer it. A lot of mismanagement at the front desk.young inexperienced staff who could care less about our experience. The property seemed to have a lot of potential but sadly disappointed.

This is a great location. Easy to walk to beach or the Ave. It’s just a little lacking for a4 star rating. As a guest it’s hard to get dinner reservations. They almost tick all the boxes but fall a little short. Getting a seat at the pool is always a challenge. I like that there’s laundry but it’s work to get the change you need. Valet is very friendly. Front desk is just ok

Room was pretty small. Very loud where our room was, doors slamming people running, wall thin you can hear the other rooms. Thought it would be better. Had to move to a different hotel.

The staff are very nice and check in was easy. The food at Drift was good. The room was just ok, definitely not anything special, view of a roof and parking lot. Pool was small and filled to the brim with children, it turned a murky color by midday. There is barely any pool service, we never were offered a drink. Leak in our bathroom. Overall it was just ok, we won’t be back.

At arrival, there was confusion around our reservation and very little proactive communication from the staff. We weren’t clearly informed about what was happening, what the delay was, or what to expect next. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt like we had to keep asking questions just to understand basic details. Throughout the stay, this lack of communication continued in smaller ways—information wasn’t clearly shared, and we often had to follow up ourselves rather than staff anticipating needs or keeping us informed. To their credit, the hotel did offer some compensation (drink vouchers and breakfast), which was appreciated. However, those gestures didn’t fully make up for the initial experience and ongoing communication gaps. For a property at this level, I would expect a much more organized and proactive approach—especially at check-in, which is the first impression. With better communication and clearer coordination, this could easily be a much stronger guest experience.

I did prefer the room in the newer tower to the room in the original building. It was quieter and roomier and nicely appointed. I would definitely recommend the Opal Resort and would like to stay there again.

My sec time vacation for my bday in Opal resort . Booked last min.however ,the Hotel restaurant " Drift " bartender not nice .We had dinner at bar not even once bartender greeting . No service . no water for us.very mean . ruined my bday . $5300 flight with 3 nites hotel are not worth it this time. Won't go back again

Our room was beautiful! Great views! Staff greeted us as we pulled in and inside the hotel as well. Efficient with no wait and we’re lucky to get an early checkin. Staff in every area including by the pool were exceptionally attentive. Can’t wait to go back!

Food and beverage are exceptional !

Once I finally got to my room, things didn’t improve much. The room itself was quite small, leaving very little space to move around comfortably or store luggage. It felt cramped and not at all what I had anticipated based on the listing. To make matters worse, the noise level was a constant issue. Guests in the room above were very loud, and the lack of soundproofing made it seem like every step and movement echoed directly into my room. It made it difficult to relax and nearly impossible to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations due to the rocky check-in, limited space, and ongoing noise disturbances. I hope the hotel addresses these issues to improve future guest experiences.

I didn’t love how our balcony view over-looked a weird slab of concrete and it almost looked unfinished. But besides that the room was very nice, the cleanliness was on point, majority of staff was kind and helpful.

The valet staff is awesome The front desk staff was terrific and the restaurant staff was awesome. Also the food was really good. But I don't think we will come back here for a while because the housekeeping staff makes the Red Roof inn staff look outstanding. They didn't do a turndown service which for a hotel of this caliber we have never encountered. They didn't take our dirty dishes and they failed to replenish the toiletries even though we left them with the bottle caps off. Super unusual. Also they were super loud outside of our door in the morning. But as I mentioned before the other areas were really nice.

First time stay after we got off a cruise. Liked everything about Opal, great location, right on Atlantic Ave, lots of chairs at the pool, large hot tub, bars and restaurants on the premises. We were delighted.

A little pricey for the room that overlooked a roof and also outdated. The food was really good, but I’m not sure I would call this the best rated hotel in Delray Beach. The only good thing about it was it was right across the street from the beach, but we certainly did not have a good view of the beach.

The room was clean but only issue was it would be nice to have a makeup mirror in the bathroom and a shampoo/conditioner stand in the shower. We had to put our hair products on the floor. Other than that, the room was very clean, it was quiet, the bed was so comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much and plan to return very soon!

I was notified as I was driving to the location that my beachfront room was not available and I would be placed in a poolside room. This reservation was made 4 months ago and even though they discounted the room, it was not the room I had booked. The walls were so thin, I was woke up each night by the man in the next room who had a persistent cough.

Overall a good experience other than I was charged an extra room night/fees because they said I only paid for one night not two even so I paid the full stay through Expedia. Hopefully I can get my refund but the hotel itself was nice clean and in a great area right across from the beach stores and restaurants.

Everything was great. My only complaint was the bedding (blanket) wasnt heavy enough. I felt like I was sleeping with just a sheet. And the bed was too hard for my liking. Just not the cozy experience I had hoped for. Otherwise everything was fantastic.

This has been one of the best hotel stays ever. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, the rooms are beautiful and clean, the pool is perfect with a short walk to the beach. Thank you to Michael at the front for making our time great!

We enjoyed the peacefulness of Isla Bella Resort. Convenient location on Marathon with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and excursions nearby with Key West less than an hour away. The beach on property was less than expected, but it’s mostly due to the low tide. Pools were clean, rooms were spacious, clean, and AC worked great! Excellent property, would highly recommend.

Property is nice, clean, great amenities , excellent location. Staff at Drift and Tammy fender spa were absolutely amazing. Valet are awesome and definitely the people to talk to for any assistance in hotel. Those guys are all awesome.

Place is very nice but one side of the hotel is newer. The halls on the older side smelled a lil musty and sometimes you smelled sewage.

We stayed for a weekend with three generations of girls and had the best time. Enjoyed the pool, walk on the beach, lots of shopping up and down Atlantic Avenue and many delicious meals. On property, we had drinks and appetizers and enjoyed everything. The free shuttle service was great.

Had the wrong room at check in. They told me they would fix it so we waited at the beach for an almost 2 hrs. Came back to the front desk who said room was ready but nothing had changed they still tried to put us in the wrong room. Finally fixed it and gave us our oceanfront room. The toilet ran non stop the 1st 2 nights We complained twice the 2nd time someone came and fixed it. The doors to the room slam so loud and our neighbors would come back around 2am the whole time we were there and slam their door and wake us up

You have to do something about the dogs in the restaurants.

Resort feel with ameniable staff and service. Fully booked without being overwhelmed by large groups or families during a peak week. Great location and easy in and out of resort to beach or walk.

Just fabulous! The spa….. chef’s kiss! Maria did scalp wash/massage and Brian did massage. I felt amazing for days after!

We booked a standard king room on Expedia based on a photo showing a sliding door and balcony with a view. The actual room had no balcony and 2 small windows. When we asked reception we were told standard king rooms don't have balconies (only suites). The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and nice walk in shower but not sure I would have paid that much. Location is great, across the street from the beach.

When we first arrived, we ordered room service and it was awful. They refused to refund us because I didn’t physically bring the food that I had thrown away but instead gave me a breakfast voucher. The internet and WiFi did not work in our room. On the day of check in I went to the desk, discussed with manager, and they said they would send an engineer. The next day I complained again and they sent an engineer when we were out at 5 pm at night and when I got back to the room, now the WiFi wouldn’t show up at all on a search. Other guests had the same issue. The hotel charges a minimum of 800$ a night for our stay and the hotel is worth about 2-300$. It is semi ocean front but different than advertised. I also complained that our floors were dirty as our bare feet were stained instantly after we took our shoes off. They offered to clean the room for us, but shouldn’t it already be cleaned. We were given one small tube of body wash for a family of three, had 4 non long size pillows so we had to ask for more pillows to not break our neck despite having a king size bed. The valet and bell team was great but other than that, don’t waste your money here. Very disappointed overall and was really looking forward to experiencing this property.

The best place to stay in Delray!

We were disappointed that our room didn’t have a balcony or sitting area outside. We could see the ocean if we looked over the rooftop through the door. The door didn’t lock but since there was no balcony, no one could get in unless they were on the roof. The service in the bar was slow. This was our third year here for Valentine’s Day but we won’t be back.

Really can’t find anything negative to say about the Opal Grand. I had booked a pool view room and when we arrived we were upgraded to oceanfront which was really lovely. Great location walkable to many nice restaurants and beach right across the street. Absolutely incredible service, I can’t recall a friendlier and more accommodating staff. We would most definitely stay here again if we go back to Delray which is a beautiful extremely clean town.

There was construction so the pool area and our balcony was noisy

First, they tacked on a parking charge of $30 a day when I didn’t even have a car! Then they placed us in a “standard view” room which was a horrible (substandard) view of loud ugly noise air handlers. The balcony was completely unusable due to the noise not to mention the ugly roof and units. Then the desk “agents””agreed to move us. Very inexperienced staff. The staff informed us they would call when room was ready, THEY NEVER CALLED. We packed up, wasted hours or vacation time! I called, they didn’t pick up the phone. Then went down to front desk to find 10 deep customers and one check in person. Totally over their heads. Don’t waste your money on this over-priced subpar service property. The Seagate much better. Oh, if u want a $300 facial, the Opal can accommodate! lol! Don’t waste ur money.

I loved all of the on site amenities such as restaurants, lounges, and the spa, as well as being steps away from the beach. The Elevate rooftop lounge was a whole entire vibe.

Great hotel. Nice beach , pool and staffs

This was a last minute overnight stay with my 7 year old son after visiting my parents. We stayed here in 2019 when it was Marriott and they've only made it more exquisite. From the welcoming front desk staff with champagne, to the friendliest server Jodi at Monkey Bar for breakfast, to the staff at the pool, private beach, bell, you name it.... every staff member here is wonderful.

The staff at the Opal Grand were exceptional! From the check in person to Vlad and Ann at breakfast we had the best experience. We were staying at the hotel for a funeral and the team of professionals made a difficult week much better! Liza at the restaurant was great too.

The hotel is amazing! Great location, near lots of restaurants and shops! We loved it and will be back for sure.
