This is a wonderful place to stay. Everything about the property is perfect and the staff is even more so! We had an air conditioning issue in our room and immediately someone came to check on it and they moved us to a different room. Very kind staff at all levels.

Most friendly and accommodating staff I have experienced. Daily evening music in the living room was exceptional.

Changes rooms three times bc AC units in rooms are so loud. Third room still had less than ideal AC rattling, desk had paint splashes and nicks. Food was fine, not outstanding. Pool looks out over a parking lot but there is an ocean view beyond the parking lot. Overall would not return.

Staff was outstanding especially the valets. Bartenders, waiters, waitresses and staff went out of their way to accommodate any request.

This place was extremely expensive for what you got. The hotel was clean but old. Food service was a joke...took so long to get our food. Our dinner was over

Incredible location adjacent to beach and nice on-site pool & hot tub. Rooms are a bit dated but doesn’t matter one bit because the location is unbeatable.

This is a nice hotel. Beware the charges that are not clearly displayed at the time of booking. I paid $75 USD daily for parking and $65 USD daily for resort fees. This was an additional $135 USD daily that I was not aware of, which is significant for a 3 night stay. The location is good and the rooms were nice. The hotel just didn’t feel as hospitable as other luxury hotels I’ve stayed at. My expectations were much higher.

Fine, skip the pool. I’ll go get a margarita instead. $26 + a surge charge and a small tip, $28 later. Good rita, but not that good. The kids weren’t necessarily the hotel’s fault, but the overpriced marg was, considering the abundance of bars and restaurants immediately around the property, their price gauging seemed over the top. Thanx, but never again. But hey, hope you enjoy your stay though. But leave your d**n kids at home and don’t buy drinks there. Go across the street.

We booked about a week ago. We have stayed at your hotel several times. I’m really disappointed that you put us in an area of your hotel that you knew had a broken elevator and was broken prior to us booking. The elevator has been out for over a week according to the staff, and with prior knowledge you shouldn’t be using that section of the hotel. At the very least give guests the option of rebooking elsewhere. At $600 a night I’d expect more.

This is a small upscale hotel. The rooms are nice. We stayed at high season and during our stay there was a wedding and a baby shower. We enjoyed our stay. It was a classy hotel. We loved the pool area and the pool service was amazing. Jackson was a very attentive bar & pool server. 5 stars for him.

Location is fabulous, the service is amazing, the food is terrific and complimentary yoga on the weekends! Loved that weekend events ended early as to not disturbing the guests. The pool area was quite small, but the beach is steps away so not a problem.

The location is beautiful but the hotel front desk is poorly managed. Our room was $700 per night and located on the first floor without a view. We had to ask for cleaning serve to the room, which was provided only upon request.

Location, proximity to beach, Sam driving the golf cart to the beach was excellent, relaxing pool and lobby, coffee bar was understaffed on a Tuesday morning but the barista was patient and calm, service was prompt. Room service menu was outdated but not a big deal. Not much! Returning in May and holding a graduation luncheon there!

This boutique style hotel is in a great location in town and staff and amenities are first class. Great view of the ocean. The beach and restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel. Did not eat at the hotel’s restaurant Adelaide but heard it was very good. The hotel room was quite nice and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room service was sparse. Over the top and beyond expensive. Food was creative in restaurants but almost never cooked right. Medium rare steak came out medium …..second time it came out medium decided not to send it back a third time lobster bisque came out cold sent it back. Most annoying thing was size of the bathroom is minuscule and the room service menu just was unacceptable. I would’ve liked a pot of coffee available or a pot of hot cocoa in the mornings .The coffee shop was almost always closed whether it was 10 in the morning or four in the afternoon. The valet service was superior. I had to ask five times where the ice machine was and finally called and she told me to go get it myself on the second or third floor. That was ridiculous. I would not come back. The prices are over the top and you’re not getting the value for the price. If you want the experience that’s fine but I’m not spending $5000 for four days for an experience where everything is priced four times what it should be.

check in is at 4, which is late, and my room was not ready when we arrived at 4pm. we had to wait an hour for the room.

We were given the room right off the hotel's entrance/driveway. There is a lot of street noise, and no point to using the balcony. The air conditioning did not work, and we had to file a noise complaint due to the craziness of someone's kids upstairs. The restaurant was very nice for breakfast, and the property was quite nice. Just for that price point, I expected a little more.

The customer service and location are what makes this resort special. We stayed for my mom’s 80th birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. The location can’t be beat. The beach and shops are all within walking distance. Who doesn’t love Old Del Mar? Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We had drinks at the bar around 9:30pm in a sat night and the short bartending staff was overwhelmed and 2 mix drinks was a almost a 30 min wait. Although the manager comped the drinks. As a management of the hotel, you could’ve doubled your revenue in that 30 mins if properly staffed. Overall, it was a lovely hotel and stay.

Horrible-moved rooms twice! Put in a room with only a tiny window with a wedding party immed. outside at eye-level peering right down into our room, face to face! Stomping loudly. That's where the wedding took place! The next was filthy, stunk and noisy!

I liked the resort, stuff, restaurant inside the resort Adelaida was amazing, pool area not to big but comfy, only thing was not so good a beach, there is beach but not private, but again 5-7minutes to walk , otherwise everything was amazing!

L'Auberge Del Mar is a wonderful getaway!! The staff was so welcoming & nice, which really set our babymoon off to a great start. The area is super walkable with a number of cute shops & restaurants. The hotel also has live music on weekends, which was a wonderful touch!

They stuck me in the worse room on the property. I always travel and stay at resorts or hotels. This was the worst one.

This property is clearly well managed. The staff was amazing and the food at Adelaide was fantastic and they easily accommodated by gluten-free requirement. I look forward to returning.

Excellent staff. Krups coffee maker in room. Patio facing a parking lot, ocean view beyond the lot. For $900/night, meh. The room was a hotel room, with a view of the parking lot. Bottled water was $6 in the room, mini bar mini wine bottle was $32. I was in a wing that also had conference rooms, so I walked past conference attendees gathering for their breakfast buffet as I walked to the hotel cafe. Breakfast menu was boring, $35 for scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit. Had to valet park, there is no option otherwise. I didn't expect that and didn't have cash to tip the valets, who has cash anymore?

The location. The bathroom shower. No hand held fixture. The water pressure was so weak, my daughter and I couldn’t get the shampoo out of our hair. We had to go to a salon across the street which charged us $75.00 per person for a shampoo and blow out. When we checked into the hotel Initially, we were greeted nicely and told our room wasn’t ready. If we presented our ID and credit card, we could enjoy a lunch while waiting..which we did. When my daughter asked for a margarita, the bill informed us that it was $45.00. The server presented a top shelf tequila margarita which I’m not sure it really was…We received a text from the front desk which was literally right next to our table that the room was ready. When I went back up to the desk to the very same receptionist, I was asked to show my ID and credit card again, as if I had never even checked in! lol no The hotel’s spa was closed so we went to a nearby resort that up-sold us constantly to the point of embarrassment at 600.00 for a facial and massage. (NaMara) The TV is old time. No Netflix, Hulu or anything. Just old time cable and old movies for $20.00 a pop. Oh-and after I just placed down $5,000.00 at check out-3 night/my daughter and I sat down at a “cabana” to hang out before the Uber arrived to take us to the airport. While no one was there, we were told to move or pay for a cabana for the whole day. Girl missed out on a fine tip for one little glass of wine…hmmmm. we obviously left. so mean, are they going to call me right now to charge me for watching my own Netflix right now?! I can afford this stuff. I’m not cheap. The hotel is cheap.

Love the location. Wish I had a room with a view. Wish there was pool service. Wish the spa was open on Monday.

Outstanding trip!

Overall the hotel is lovely. Bathroom was a little outdated, but rooms are spacious. A bit pricey but customer service is top notch.

This place is 10 outta 10 great. Highly recommend!

Electicity out 1am to 11am. Little or no staff support or assistance, leadership, communications. Clueless what to do. Hallways and stairwells poorly lite (no functioning backup lites). No hustle to engage guests, find creative ways to help, serve, etc.

The property is beautiful and the staff couldnt be friendlier or more helpful. We love this place!

There was nothing luxurious about this hotel. The room and hallways had a foul odor. We paid 800$/night for a room that didn’t even have a bathtub and was not at all luxurious or beautiful. I wood never recommend this hotel.

Not worth the price

Beautiful resort, rooms and entire property very nice except the air conditioner is very loud. We were moved when we asked about it, but the compressors still roared. Overall our trip was lovely.

Great

One of our favorite weekend trips! Love this property and going to the horse races. Everyone is friendly and the live music in the evenings is wonderful!

In addition, the gym was dusty, and the peloton bikes were both filthy and broken. Seat adjustments on both were not working and nor was the screen height adjustment. Extremely disappointed as this property has such a great location.

Horrible shower pressure

Wonderful hotel and spa. The service was outstanding and the staff from the front desk, to the valets, to the poolside wait staff were friendly, were always looking to help you. And the views were spectacular. You can take a short walk down the back of the property and you're at the beach in 5 minutes. They also have a golf cart shuttle to the beach and provide chairs, umbrellas, boogie-boards and towels. And the hotel is a short walking distance from several great restaurants.

Had two rooms with broken air conditioner units with one very bad night. The hotel stepped up and upgraded the room to a suite. Try nice but packing and unpacking was a pain.

Beautiful room and property with great restaurants nearby. Also, our dogs were welcomed and pampered guests.

A minor disappointment with the breakfast-cold and fresh fruit sub par

the hotel was very nice and comfortable however the Wi-Fi was incredibly slow and keeps going out. Cable TV was not accessible and just a dissatisfaction and definitely not worth the money spent.
