The staff are very attentive and clean daily. The reading light in my bunk went out and they fixed it right away the following day. It’s quiet and located with fast food options nearby and Masha that works the front desk has always been friendly and attentive. No complaints

The air conditioning at night. The Laundry dryer doesn’t work for laundry . Property makes you pay to use there private dryer. 8$ You can wash for free Don’t need to put quarters like I did and spend an extra 3$ to wash. Overall property very clean .

The place is very nice and friendly. I didn't like some of the roommates they were talking to much when we tried to rest,the smell a cigarette and alcohol was terrible and they didn't clean after using the bathroom. This group of people they need to be in spacial room.

No breakfast in this place, but you can make your on breakfast. I like the garden with the BBQ where you can make your BBQ. Some guess they have bad habits. They don't clean after using the kitchen and the bathroom or the tables.

Bathroom never worked had to go to shared Bathroom that was broken this property is okay to get wasted and do drugs at least that's what the people around me did party hostel for sure just be mindful of your belongings refrigerator never worked and there was a person with mental issues in the 18 bed room I was in, for one night with no bags and no belongings it not bad for the price the property does have its upsides on site vending machine, as well as corn hole game, fuz ball table, public TV and close to public transportation, and publics supermarket all in all for price and location it's better than a park bench I assume but not much

This property makes their guests change the sheets on the bed from the previous guests (what’s the point of housekeeping?) AND they do not provide gloves. The rooms and bathrooms are dirty. The guests were loud and inconsiderate. Every little thing is an up-charge. Worst hostel I’ve stayed in as an international traveler. I only liked the fact that I stayed here for one night and not a second longer

I like the garden. Some guess they don't fallow the rules of smoking and they don't keep the area clean after using the bathroom or the kitchen.

It was fairly close by Uber to Fort Lauderdale. Creepy. The bathroom in the dorm was broken and the main bathroom in the common bathroom was broken soooooooo no where to relieve yourself! (I peed in their garden) and no way to shower. The dorm room is crammed with beds so if everyone were to get out of bed at once they would bang into each other! No indoor place to sit and work or anything. There is very much a feeling of a shelter for unhoused people here.

The Design Of The Hostel Courtyard & Guest Rest Lounge Seating Was Beautiful. There were artificial flowers & leaves mixed with real green foliage that adorned the front Of the quaint house where the front desk was found. The Hidden Gems Were Real Southern Flowers & Trees Worthy of The Audubon Society. The Rooms Were Kept Lightly Dim & Very Clean for Guests to Sleep Well. The Lockers provided were ample for storing belongings while the guest goes out for sightseeing. Great Location! Great Front desk, The Most Efficient Up to date Electronic Check-in, with a Welcoming Host. Bottom Bunk Was Low, Underneath Two Bunk Beds, Really Comfortable Bedding Though, Only rethink this option if you tend to feel claustrophobia. Taller guests would need to consider the top Bunk options because there's really no height above your head to sit up in the bottom Bunk.

Close to airport Alot of transient people sooo long term tenants, they don't keep it clean there 20 people to 1 bathroom that's ridiculous so it was filthy with urine all over the floor plus it's always tied up, a person was sleeping in the hall that didn't have a room, 11pm quiet hr not respected at all, and guests fornicating regardless of who was in the room, not a good place for women to stay to sight see

I stay at the Sheridan hostel a couple of times a month and it has always been pleasant the staff is excellent especially Dayna she always addresses any problems that you bring to her attention....I always highly recommend people to stay here

The property was perfect for a quick and unexpected overnight stay. Clean sheets, clean bathrooms, free use of a locker, a great atmosphere. I'm definitely coming back for an extended stay soon.

As a solo female traveler - DO NOT COME. SO SUS. The courtyard is nice, but I was in the smoking section and another guest was visibly tweaking and smoking something out of a pipe that was sweet smelling (that’s not a cigarette or mary j to be clear!). Nothing was done and he was on the property all day and when I ran out of there at 7:30 am. They provide you sheets to make your own bed, and text you to let you know when your bunk is ready. I dropped my stuff off and stupidly didn’t check until I went to bed around 11pm. They hadn’t removed the previous dirty used linens and the persons drink was there. The bed was covered in crumbs and other stuff I don’t even know. So so sleeved out. Also, slightly unusual for a hostel and made me personally uncomfortable as a visibly solo female - there was a large proportion of men 50+ in the rooms, some young people but definitely mostly older men.

The pictures on this site were very misleading. When we got there we had to fill out paperwork on our own cellphones. We were then told where we were staying and when we got to the "room" it was a coed room with bunk beds that had a sheet that was supposed to be for privacy. We went back to the front desk and wanted our money back because we felt it was extremely unsafe. One of the ladies at the desk said she had a room across the street and took us to see it. It was a very nice room but we were told that the person who was supposed to be there had canceled but if he showed up before 11pm we would have to leave the room. She told us it was more money and settled on another $50.00. The person did not show up so we went to sleep. The lady who showed us the room texted me 2x at 12:19 am but I didn't hear it. She then proceeded to let herself into our room and walk into our bedroom.She told me that there was a woman who needed a room and wanted to put her in our room. I told here that was unacceptable and she said she would find something else. However she then proceeded to let herself back in the room while I had just fallen asleep because I couldn't sleep over the anxiety that she caused me. She then said she couldn't find other accommodations so she needed to put her in the room with me and my friend. It was unprofessional and uncomfortable. I would never recommend this place and hope the website updates the misleading photos so people won't have to go through this

It is accessible, being near bus stops, fast-food restaurants, and stores. However, I found the rooming incredibly unappealing. I would recommend looking for a different place even if it is more pricey.

I haven’t been in a hostel in a long time. This one made me sad… where are the young travelers? This hostel looks more like a shelter for people in need. I was just there to sleep and didn’t use other facilities. Bathroom and shower look durty.

Is what it is a quiet bed for sleeping . The bunk beds I found hard to climb into when dark I have a bad knee. Recommend people with bad knees to ask for bottom bunk. All else was good deal thank you!!!

Terrible experience. I had the absolute worst stay at Sheridan Hostel. From the moment I lay down, I felt uncomfortable, and it only got worse when I discovered the place was infested with bed bugs. It was impossible to sleep as they were everywhere, crawling all over the bed. I woke up with red, itchy marks all over my body that I didn’t have before. I couldn’t bear to stay another minute, so I left the place at 4 AM, much earlier than planned. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Avoid at all costs if you value your health and sleep.

I like the outdoor area, but early on there were problems inside the hostel room. Cleaning was sporadic, and after a few nights the AC stopped working. Although they offered everyone to move to another room, I think they could have offered us a better discount for the inconvenience. It has potential, but more attention to detail is needed.

The staff person on duty was friendly. Front entry was fairly clean. Walk back to the bunk room the bunks are very very tight. Stack three bunks high. Not even enough room to sit up on the edge of the bed. Sleeping was okay but not great. The outside area was littered with cigarette butts and reeked of marijuana smell. But what do you expect for $54 a night.

I was a little afraid leaving my stuff in the car as it didnt all fit in the locker.. happy to say the vehicle and contents were fine , The neighborhood is rough but there was plenty of security cameras and emough people going in and out to maybe be a deterrent. I will for sure stay again.

A lady was talking to someone on the phone about she stealing from stores, a guys talked all the night with his boyfriend on speaker, another guy keep on coming in and out for the room. Next day a guy outside asked me for the code and I didnt give it to him and he slam the door because of that as he wanted to get in. I know there is a market for everyone and because it was a cheap option I decided to stay but felt pretty unsafe.

The staff was very accommodating for my situation. I’m in town for a couple hours for a football game and was able to sleep for a couple hours before I had to leave back out. Will definitely be staying there again.

My neighbor was a little clueless about his phone (he stepped out of the room leaving his phone untended and its alarm went off for a few minutes - at 5 am). He was on the phone later in the morning talking pretty loudly while others were still trying to sleep. This is not a reflection on the hostel but noise is definitely a factor to consider when renting a shared space.

Better than last year, new very pleasant staff, clean, it’s not the Hilton so don’t expect it to be, it’s a Hostel, nice patio areas, great security upgrades, close to restaurants and retail and transportation, would recommend for a clean, affordable place!!!

On checking in on Sunday evening 14 August, the male person at reception was very unfriendly and rude towards me. He told me in no unceratin time to `go and wait outside' the reception area until I was called in. I was treated like a criminal (after he realised I was from Africa). I was not correctly informed which bed in the dor was mine and slept in the bottom of bank bed. At 11pm he came into the dorm as I was apperently supposed to sleep on the top of the bunk bed. He physically shaked me awake in a very rude manner and told me to get out of the bed. I was humiliated and have never been treated so poor in a long time. Very rude guy that is not an asset to this hostel.

I was not correctly informed which bed in the dor was mine and slept in the bottom of bank bed. At 11pm he came into the dorm as I was apperently supposed to sleep on the top of the bunk bed. He physically shaked me awake in a very rude manner and told me to get out of the bed. I was humiliated and have never been treated so poor in a long time. Very rude guy that is not an asset to this hostel.

Everything was fine except they did not honor the original price but said that Friday night was more expensive than Wednesday and Thursday and there was nothing that said that and the original price when I booked said 101 and I was charged 144. Otherwise my stay was fine.

Pretty disgusting place,. There is not cleaning service, you actually share the room with people that maybe live there for weeks. Rooms are very small with maybe 10 people in it. I only stated for one night. They could at least put females and men in different rooms, but they don't care, I felt unsafe there.

Staff was rude. They have a locker to put your valuables but it comes with an archaic lock. Bathrooms were dirty. Location was good.

All the workers there are amazing. They make this property great. The property was amazing, but they were upgrading the pool and jacuzzi. The included buffet breakfast was amazing every day. Amazing beach/ocean views with balconies. Somehow some of the cafeteria workers new my first name. Don't understand how or why.

I really enjoyed my stay! The grounds are lovely, and peaceful. The staff is friend and helpful. And, the bunks give you a hint of privacy, with a curtain. Never thought I could feel at home in a dormitory environment, but this location has changed my opinion. I highly recommend it!

The place is a turd bowl and it really starts to smell starting at the front desk w a foreign turd. I don’t know what country he comes from and why America let’s people in our country like this piece of crap is beyond me. Go any further and it’s hotel hell. Stay away from this toilet bowl and you will enjoy your trip.

I woke up the next morning and my body is covered red bumps. And it's getting worse and it's very ugly. The place is infected with bugs and insects. The bed bugs completely covering my body so no I would not recommend anyone to stay there ever

Terrible experience. Some stranger was sleeping in my bed at check in, so I had to wait for him to get out and then wait for the bed to be cleaned. Was completely unprofessional

It’s not a bad place if you really need a place to sleep but even that didn’t make wanna stay there. I went to Miami for Rolling loud so I needed a place to stay for the time being. I found this place and thought it’d be filled with people like me but I was wrong. It’s filled with homeless individuals and drug addicts. Now that doesn’t necessarily make the place bad but I just didn’t feel comfortable and I don’t recommend woman to stay here too. Also a bit over priced for something like that in my opinion. Overall, it’s alright to have a place to stay for ONE night but not for a whole week

I originally booked threw booking .com however after that i had to book with them from there on out no matter how long i havent stayed there apparently its in the fine print along with other things. I didnt read it and they dont give you a copy nor do they give you an invoice. I didnt know you had to book with them again or suffer.I booked threw expedia because its faster little did i know what would happen. The only thing nice about the place is the atmosphere. First of all the staff is rude. All of them. The owner told me after i booked the place that i needed to pay more money because i booked with expedia. They dont like that because they hike up your rates the next time you stay there. I already know that some places have extra fees but this wasnt in the booking. I called to cancel with expedia but they would not let me. I went to the property and they told me i was trespassing. I left and they had all my money. I had enough for a couple of days in a hotel room but no food. I survived on the streets like a bum for 5 days with no money or food. Expedia still will not return my money nor will the property. Horrible people just dont do it.
