The room and bathroom was very nice at first glance but the room itself had an odd odor smell, odd black marks and other stains on the sheets, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned correctly as there was still hair in the bottom of the shower,etc… The front staff was very rude. Other guest would harass us and our animal. When we brought it up to the front desk they did nothing and were extremely rude about it so we checked out early because we kept being harassed when we came to relax due to a surgery I had. The parking lot was absolutely trashed with homeless sleeping around.

This hotel offers basic clean rooms with a decent breakfast for a good price. It’s in a good location for me since it’s not in the center of the city.

I have been staying at this hotel when I am in San Francisco.

Hotel rooms and common areas clean. Breakfast is good and always refilled. Great customer service. Parking included is a plus.

When visiting San Francisco, I always stay at the Hampton inn in Daly City. Always an excellent stay, clean and tidy, breakfast is never disappointing. I highly recommend this hotel for family visiting students at SFSU.

I asked for adjoining rooms because I rented two rooms and that was not given to me. The beds were not made each day of our stay and that was a real disappointment.

I believe the hotel property needs more parking as the parking they have fills up fast. Also, the elevators seem to have an issue as the last time 1 of them was down and this time I got stuck in one. Other than that, overall, the hotel is a good place to stay.

The room was very clean and well maintained. The staff were quite friendly and helpful. What made it such a terrible stay were the beds. They were so uncomfortable. I have back issues already, but after sleeping on that bed, I woke up in a great deal of pain. I had a reservation booked for the end of the month, but I won't be staying. Sorry, Hampton Inn.

Very comfortable quiet room with soft bedding and lots of towels. A microwave and coffee maker were provided. The blinds were especially nice to have to completely shut out the light. The breakfast room and offerings were good, and the lady overseeing the breakfast was very friendly and helpful. All staff were friendly and professional. Secure parking was appreciated. The area in Daly City has lots of restaurants and fast food options. This hotel is perfect those wanting to avoid traffic and noise and expensive parking in the City, yet still be close to all the sights. Various transit options are located close by. We always stay here when visiting San Francisco. The hotel was being painted, so the paint smell was apparent at times. But this was a minor issue. The hotel is very well maintained.

All of these competing hotels seem to source their breakfast food items from the same supplier. I just returned from a 2k road trip with my family this week stayed at mid tiered hotel chains at Holiday Inn Express, Best Western, Fairfield, and Hampton Inn. These breakfasts are identical. Hampton Inn imo has the most bitter coffee in both light and dark roast. My wife says the same about their decaf offerings. The best coffee we experienced was at Holiday Inn, they have this machine that grinds your coffee beans at time of order then brews. The only downside side is that it takes a little longer.

This hotel is really pet-friendly, with clean rooms that are spacious, and it has a microwave, small refrigerator, and coffee maker. Their free breakfast is superb, and it is located close to restaurants and malls, with easy access to highways 101, 1, and 280.

Also, the coffee station was floor level in the cabinet under the TV. Coffee is toxic to dogs. The hotel is nice and the bed was comfortable but I wouldn't recommend it to friends traveling with dogs.

Hotel room was comfortable and clean. There was parking available (uncovered). They have tea and coffee 24-7. Breakfast was as expected and typical of basic continental fare. Manager on duty lacked empathy and interpersonal skills during a conversation around changes to my booking.

The hotel is in an okay location; it took a while to get hot water from the sink and shower. Shower water pressure not the greatest. Room was clean. The heater came on, but when it got up to temperature and stopped heating, the fan would blow cool air out (had to turn unit off to stop the fan from blowing cool air). Breakfast was decent.

Excellent breakfast with lots of choices. Nice and clean and close to a convenient Bart station which also had parking. Would definitely come here again. I had to sleep on the sofa bed which wasn't especially comfortable and my two daughters slept on the comfy king sized bed. It didn't seem like a room with two queens was an option.

The breakfast was great. I loved the hours extending until 10 am and there was a variety of items to choose from, and a different breakfast each day. The location was easy to get to by GPS. Parking area is limited when it comes to being able to park in a garage, but the hotel was easy to access from the parking lot to the side of hotel. The hotel was clean, and it smelled good. Staff was friendly, but not in your business. I like the text messaging to ask questions is needed. I liked that it was quiet. Extra snacks and drinks were priced very high, but it was nice to have in a pinch if you didn't want to leave the building as nothing was really close to walk to. The shower didn't have much of a stream. We didn't stay long enough to have to continue to use the shower, so we didn't mention the issue.

But overall all a great place to stay and I would stay here again!

Cozy, clean, and quiet! This hotel is off the beaten path for Bay Area travelers. Free parking, hot breakfast, and friends staff made the stay a 10 out of 10.

The cheese omelette was like rubber, the western omelette was a step up from that, but the plain scrambled eggs were awful. They had a strange taste and texture. Threw them out. We had stayed at another chain hotel earlier in the week and they put you to shame. I probably won’t give you an opportunity for a stike three (strike one was a couple of years ago in Buena Park). This is how a business starts a decline. Quality control and customer service deteriorate.

We are repeat guests. Why? Excellent accommodations and friendly, caring, competent staff. There is free, on-site parking for the times we drive and a convenient uber ride when we fly. This is our “go to” hotel when visiting our family in San Francisco.

The Hampton Inn in Daly City is a hidden gem. It’s convenient to SFO and to our son’s house in the Outer Sunset. We’ve stayed here before but our visit this December was superb. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Our room was spacious. The breakfast area was well maintained and a step above the usual hotel breakfast. We’ll stay here again.

Property is built into the hillside, so you have to drive down to the parking lot after checking in. The lobby, therefore is on the 3rd floor. That makes the elevator a little bit confusing.

There was a stench in the bathroom that made me think something died in the pipes. Like sewage or a dead animal. Disgusting.
