Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the friendly staff, clean rooms, and central location. However, there are consistent complaints about the high price, lack of amenities like fridges and microwaves, and issues with room maintenance and cleanliness.

They need to make customers aware when pools aint open, we traveled from 6hrs away to come relax in a nice room with pools and nothing was working and we werent notified when getting rooms. Also the AC in our room was not working. Very unsatisfied

Hotel was historical which is cool but a little run down in places for the price. My biggest beef was $65 parking which they double charged me. Only stayed one night.

The staff went above and beyond. Nothing in my review has to do with them. The rooms are a bit outdated. The bathrooms are beautiful but overall the first room we had smelt like cigarettes and the HVAC didn't work. Again staff was so accomodating immediately switched our room. The biggest letdown was from the marketing online I thought the pool at the hotel bar was open to the hotel guests at all hours and it wasn't. The pool you have access to is a bit sad. The food options weren't really available for lunch. But, I wouldnt let this deter you from booking here. The history of the hotel is really cool and it's a very welcoming environment

My wife and I stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary last night, and upon check in our key didn’t work. I made the trip all the way back from the fifth floor to get the key reprogrammed, and went up again, and it didn’t work again. Third trip to the front desk, we were given a different room, but upon opening the door it reeked of smoke, either cigarette, or possibly marijuana. At this point, we were given a third room, but the view from the third room was of the ugly pipes on the roof on the back of the building, even though we had requested and paid for a room with a view. Finally, we were given a fourth room, which finally was acceptable. It got better briefly, especially after they told us that the first round of drinks would be on them at the on site bar. That being said, we were still charged for the drinks at checkout, I had to ask for them to actually honour their offer of the first round free, and we were also billed for breakfast, even though we had booked a rate that included breakfast. I’d even asked the server what I was able to get within the confines of the breakfast package, and was told that we can get anything on the menu, and it would be covered by the breakfast credit. However, at check out we were initially build $56 for the not free free drinks, and the breakfast that was only partially covered. After arguing that came down to $28, but the fact is when the first round is supposed to be free, and breakfast is supposed to be included, it should be $0

I arrived after 10pm exhausted from traveling and booked for one night for a specific work meeting being held there. I was advised (by a very nice front desk worker) that the hotel overbooked and they would be putting me at another hotel! Not the front desk workers fault but as you can imagine a huge inconvenience for a trip less than 24 hours specifically booked for being on site for a meeting. The hotel they sent me to was not nearly as nice and required a later night and earlier morning.

The Statler is a marvelous property in a centrally-located area of Dallas hot spots! Dining at Overeasy for breakfast and lunch is a must and the rooftop is a great way to wind down the day poolside or at the bar.

The room was tiny despite upgrading to a larger room. The wall of windows looked out on a giant AC unit and there was trash laying around it. The hallway and the room smelled bad. The bathroom sliding door offered little privacy. The elevators took forever. I paid well over $300 after valet charges so it wasn’t an inexpensive stay and it was not like the pictures at all. Very disappointed with this stay. Avoid room 322 if you’re going to stay there.

Place seems outdated. Room had zero amenities apart from two bottles of three dollar water. Valet took 45 minutes to get our car. Someone was walking around with the key is his pocket the entire time. Missed our dinner reservation over it. If that wasn’t enough at checkout tried to give us wrong keys again. Won’t be back. Going to the Omni or others for now on.

Came here to celebrate my husband’s Birthday upon arrival I was given a room that was not what I booked online, not only that the room that I was provided was leaking water from the ceiling. Called down to the front desk then I was put in the room I originally booked online. Had I been told up front that I would be put in a different room other then what I booked for to accommodate my stay would have been maybe a little better but being told something so important after check out didn’t set well with me.

The hotel itself and our room were clean. The hallways had a beautiful scent which was welcoming. The location was great and the valet and cleaning people couldn't be more polite and friendly. When it comes to hotel industry, a collection of small details is what creates the overall experience. Unfortunately, we noticed various negative details that in my opinion, cannot be ignored. Carelessly cut carpet with loose edges popping out from underneath the walls, lighting by the bed with different tones of light, very sloppy caulk work in the shower area, broken shower handle etc were some of these negative aspect. I noticed a price tag of $3 on each bottle of water (total of 2 bottles) that were in the kitchenette area. For a nearly $300 per night stay, free drinking water should be included?! The next morning at the breakfast I noticed this hotel has their own unique system when it comes to dining. You go to the restaurant by the lobby, order what you want and then the restaurant sends a bill to the hotel and they will include that in your room charge... however, I learned this as we were checking out. Let's flashback an hour earlier before I got the above info... We went to have breakfast, we ordered, we ate and then the waiter brought us a check! Since our room was breakfast included, I was confused as why we are getting a bill! The waiter explained that we have $30 credit for breakfast ($15 per guest) but we must pay the bill now and then take the receipt to the hotel and they will reimburse us the $30! We did as instructed but the young lady at the check out counter said that is not how it works and explained the rest... I asked how can this be fixed and she threw her shoulders in the air and said there's nothing she can do and I must go speak to the restaurant manager... If handling a small issue for your guest is more than you can manage, I believe I'd simply want to leave and not go back there again.

Had an amazing chill weekend at the Statler for my wife's birthday. The bed was super comfortable, we melted into it. The bathroom is huge and had a wonderful rain shower head. The tub is also very cool, and one of the reasons we stayed at this hotel. It does have the drain in a weird place, in the middle of the tub, but wonderful for soak if you don't mind the drain placement. The very BEST thing about this hotel is the staff and their commitment to making sure guests have top tier experience. We needed a bottle opener and Michele at the front desk gave us her personal one. Skyler also gave amazing service and made sure we got our food delivery. I had the best Kentucky Mule of my life at the roof top bar, which has a great lounge area and pool. The view is good but the vibes are better.

This is no longer a premium hotel. Lack of hospitality focus, limited staff don't watse your money on room upgrades because its just Not worth it. Hilton management should clean house and get the staff refocused on the customer experience. Paid to upgrade to a King premium (almost $400) and the room didnt have a view, mini fridge and only 1 sink in the bathroom. Toliet wouldn’t flush and was clogged , tried to call the fromt desk but they didnt answer. You had to text on the app. Hilton needs to hite some staff and train them. They should secret shop the property, what a disappointment.

The breakfast was good. Staff friendly at front desk and at over-easy for breakfast. Valet company very friendly. Showers decent. More updated room. I was in king premium for 400 dollars and very underwhelming. Only 1 chair at table and I saw other rooms had more. We really enjoyed having both pools accessible to us as that was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. We also really liked having several food and drink options on site all of which we had a good experience at. We felt like the rooms having the description of a mini bar was deceiving. It was only a coffee station and nothing else. Our room did not have anything related to a mini bar and did not have a fridge which may have been our mistake to believe those things were related.

I loved it here, staff were super nice and helpful. Waterproof is basically just a club pool parties during the day, club at night with loud music. Drinks are very expensive and 20% gratuity is included. There is another pool on the third level which is quieter and more laid back. The property was modern and they kept everything clean. My favorite thing was the bathrooms in the room. Waterfall shower head and a deep soaking tub. The beds were also super comfortable. The property is also walking distance to the AT&T district and lots of restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooftop pool on the 19th floor looks like an infinity pool with skyline views and a DJ in the photos, but in reality, it’s just a shallow kiddie pool with no views. They charge $200–$2,000 for a cabana that’s nothing like what’s advertised. Totally not worth it. They also don’t disclose that you can add one extra person to your room for an additional $20 per night—but they only tell you that in person, not over the phone or online. Communication could definitely be more transparent. The room itself was average. The shower had no barrier or stopper, so the bathroom would flood every time you used it. Also, there’s no mini fridge in the room, which was frustrating for a hotel in this price range. The gym was honestly the best part—clean, well-equipped with Peloton bikes and multiple treadmills. Plus, the location is great and walkable to a lot of good restaurants. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. It’s not terrible, but the misleading photos, lack of transparency, and poor room design made it a frustrating experience.

I have always stayed here at this hotel because it offers everything I desire in a full-service hotel. It has several on-site dining options and all of them are good, it has great entertainment options for whatever you may be in the mood for, and the staff is very friendly and kind. This is the first time I have driven a car during my stay there and I was taken back that the valet charge is $65 per day which I thought was excessive.

Ac unit did not work. At checkout desk the following day- pictures shown of thermostat and AC filter conditions from room 528 and our displeasure of being hot all night due to ac not working. “Ah. I’m sorry.” That’s it. Will not be returning to the Stratler or sending recommendations.

It is a great property with cool amenities and amazing bathroom! However, the hotel is old and rooms are outdated and dirty. Carpets were stained, walls with questionable scratches/mold. Sheets not the cleanest. TV is old and does not allow you to connect your phone. Additionally, the first night was difficult to sleep because of some constant weird water pipe noises. I did not stay in the hotel a lot, but it was not so enjoyable to sleep in.

Upon first impression of our room, oddly our mattress did not fill up the bedframe. There was a gap at the headboard and footboard about a foot short on each end. The room was also lacking a mini fridge which was unfortunate. This hotel has two pools. One was completely shaded by check in time and did not have a bar. The other (rooftop) had the bar but I would hardly call it a pool. It was about 15 feet long and 8 feet wide. The only comfortable seating was marked as reserved which I’m assuming they want you to pay cabana prices? We never saw anyone sit there the whole time we were there. Zero shade. The crowd was interesting… not exactly high caliber luxury clientele. I think they allow people who are not staying at the hotel to come up to the rooftop, because there was a sign about the dress code in the lobby by the elevators. They do serve beverages at this pool and our server Jasmina was very sweet. On checkout

This property is very overrated. The staff was not engaged or friendly. The pool apparently after a certain time you can’t wear shorts, but if you were already there you are “grandfathered in”, according to the host. I was very let down by this property. There is a lot of hype that is does not live up to.

The room I stayed in was amazing! There was a slight issue with my original room, not being ready on time (still not ready three hours after I initially checked in). The staff member was great, upgrading me to a fabulous room for the severe inconvenience.

Parking is not so accessible. that can be improved and more attainable valet is very expensive.

The room was very nice, although there was only one sink for a double room. Our issue was with the valet service, which told us to self-park because they were busy, as well as the lobby experience. For a Curio Collection hotel, the lobby was full of people walking around in swmsuits, no lobby bar / place to congregate and grab a drink. The roof level pool either needs its own elevator, or limit the pool to only guests. There isn't enough space at the roof top pool so people overflow into the lobby and it took away from the ambiance.

The phone in the room kept making buzzing noises throughout the night every 30 minutes. The bathroom door did not stay shut properly and the blinds were off track. These are not the worst things in the world, but when you pay a premium price for a hotel, there are some expectations like a bathroom door that closes properly and being able to sleep through the night without having to completely unplug the phone

My first request was a room with a view and I was yes but there was no view however the heat didn’t work in the room so I was freezing until about 3am and couldn’t take it and requested to be moved and they hesitated and told me all they can do is give me more covers till the morning but it was too cold and I was too uncomfortable. So they moved me to a better room with heat. The valet lady was sleep in her car two nights in a row the last night I was there I woke her to get my vehicle I had a early flight and she brought me somebody else car because she got the ticket 264 mixed up with 254 & that was because she was sleep walking. But that’s not acceptable to bring someone else car to the wrong person then try to convince me that’s my car lol

The property is probably a 3 star overall but the deluxe rooms are very nice with large bathrooms. The suites are not worth it. Stick with a deluxe room on the quieter side away from HVAC if noise bothers you. The breakfast place, Overeasy, is great!! Also the bellmen are so sweet.

Hotel was clean & nice. Options to eat at a few different places without leaving hotel.

Put us in a room with a view of an ac condenser and brick wall. Had previously called the hotel to tell them we were celebrating a birthday so to please take care of us. Refused to move our room to another view. Asked for a bottle of water at check in and was told I had to be charged as I wasn’t a member. Front desk guy was very rude and condescending. Area around the hotel is very poor.

We stayed while attending an event held at the hotel. Everything was perfectly executed and the room was spacious and comfy. Everything from the bars, to dining to valet was five star. Highly recommend

I will definitely be returning when I'm back in Dallas. I highly recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
The staff gave excellent service and our room was clean.

The property was beautiful, but we had an issue with transportation. The staff booked a car to take us to the airport without informing us of a fee, which turned out to be three times more expensive than an Uber.

Roof top pool is not open to kids. We were not aware when booking.

Our stay was certainly not four star hotel worthy! When we first arrived, the valet didn’t even realize we were there and had to get their attention. We had no idea this is a shared apartment building with tenets. We paid for a king suite and got a tiny room with no view except for a rooftop and air conditioner units, where all the light switches were busted, and they tried to downgrade us to two queen beds after over booking,The only true shining glory of this place was Scott the bellhop. He is a dying breed of what customer service is really about. Otherwise, this would’ve been a one star review. NOT WORTH 360$ A NIGHT!!!

It looked like a club downstairs. We had to walk 3 blocks away to park.

My guest and I were stuck in an elevator for 15 minutes the first night of our stay, until the fire dept. arrived. Upon arrival and after making contact, we were never asked if we were okay. Instead, the manager present made it seem like we were faulty instead of apologizing, when in fact the elevator is past due for service, but was never blocked off to the public. Very disappointed. He insisted that the elevator was working, when we were informed on the telephone by someone else on the property, that it was not in service and was not to be used. It was extremely hot. The “man in charge”/ manager present at the time was also extremely rude. I was stuck comforting my friend who suffers from panic attacks and PTSD already. I wanted a refund for my stay and I was informed that it was left up to Expedia and the hotel had no control over it. This was a terrible experience. My friend’s birthday celebration was also ruined. I just want a refund. I spoke with the director of front office, and he assured me Expedia would process my refund for the stay due to the circumstances. I also have pictures of the elevators service record showing that it is past due for maintenance.

Property seem clean but the room smelled like mildew, the whole time, i could boy get lass the smell. The rooftop bar was great and so was the overall service.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at The Statler. It is SO close to everything walkable downtown: restaurants, parks, shopping... and it was SO fun. The 3rd floor pool area could use some landscaping love, but the facility overall was wonderful. Great stay!

My stay at the Statler Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the comfortable accommodations to the attentive staff, every aspect of my stay was impressive. The rooms were clean and well-appointed, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were surprisingly spacious. The rooftop pool offered a stunning nighttime view of the city and the atmosphere was great. Additionally, there was an on-site restaurant and several other dining options within the hotel. The only drawback was the valet parking, which can be inconvenient due to the residential location. Overall, I highly recommend staying at the Statler Hotel if you have the budget for it.

I was excited about staying here till I arrived and they charged a $250.00 deposit and then another $59 to park valet because if you use the parking garage it's down the street and it's horrible conditions then the picture online say that there was shampoo and conditioner and body wash they tell me after calling down stairs that they don't have to carry body wash anymore.then when we get in the room there is no fridge or microwave like it told me online.and we didn't get a view of anything from our window we got to look at a brick wall.over all this property is priced to high and not worth the money .also check out said 12 online but we were told 11am.also they have no place to buy snacks or drinks I was told to walk down the street.smh
