Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. The location is also a highlight, being close to downtown attractions and restaurants. However, some guests have issues with the room size, noise levels, and cleanliness. There are also mixed reviews about the breakfast service and the value for money.

Beautiful hotel even with the renovations going on. Check in easy, clean rooms, beautiful view from the windows. Bathroom hanging mirror was falling off, called front desk and they upgraded to a new room free of charge. Valet parking is the way to go.
- 4/5
Lobby was under massive improvements but stay was still comfortable and restaurant was very good. Attentive and friendly staff.
- 4/5
The lobby was undergoing renovations so it was a mess but location was good and close to good restaurants
- 4.5/5
Friendly staff from front desk to valet. They couldnt have been better. Beds were comfy and sheets were soft. Room was clean. Very walkable area. 2 blocks from a great Italian Mercato (Ari's Pantry) where they served pastries, sandwiches, and coffee. Stayed 3 nights and had we seen it our first day and not last would have always gone! Woolworth was great for brunch about 3 blocks away. Got a room on the end of the hall and beds were facing each other end to end which I had never had before, but ended up great for late night girl talk and room separation. They did have construction outside which was slightly inconvenient and the lounge/bar area was getting a remodel so it was closed and we'd normally spend time there so would have liked communication as it may have impacted our choice, but the most important things were great - clean and comfy bed.

Hotel is still largely under construction. Hopefully will be done soon looks like it will be quite modern. Staff was friendly and courteous

The space is beautiful and very clean. The hotel is undergoing a complete renovation and is in the last stages. It was very cool to watch the transformation even while we were there, and the result is sure to be stunning. However this did lead to a few inconveniences during our stay including the water being shut off for approximately 2 hours. There was communication delivered regarding this, but it was unexpected. The hotel was a great location for our events and is very walkable to a lot of downtown amenities. Overall we would stay here again!

Room was clean
- 4/5
I think this would have been a great hotel if there wasn’t construction and I hadn’t found out about the construction two days prior to the trip. The hotel is being renovated, the lobby is currently being worked on , construction is loud and was loud when I checked in. The people were friendly. The valet people were my favorite people and amazing. The room was beautiful and comfortable. It’s in a great location walking distance to everything.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing and the hotel itself was absolutely beautiful. Our room was beyond expectations. 10/10 stay.
- 3/5
Staff were all very friendly and helpful. However they’re doing a complete renovation of the lobby. Which wasn’t listed anywhere on the Expedia listing for this hotel. There was no bar, restaurant, snack bar, or lounge area. I would have picked a different hotel if I knew they were going to be doing all of that while we were there. The check in desk was a folding table.
- 3/5
I would stay there again after construction is finished but not before
- 4/5
Amazing staff! We enjoyed our stay and the view. Would definitely return.
- 5/5
Great location for an overnight stay in downtown Dallas.
- 2/5
When I arrived to check in, I was billed a different amount than what was provided on hotels.com, including a deposit of $100 that was not notated on the app. This hotel is still under construction so amenities are not available at this time. Hotel is also located downtown so you MUST pay extra for parking, valet with the hotel or find your own.
- 5/5
Everyone was amazing. The stay couldn’t have been any better! Thanks for accommodating me.

It was clean, but the room was tiny and certainly over priced. They are going through renovations, but they could at least have a place to purchase water, soda or something.
- 5/5
I’ve stayed a lot of places in the Dallas Metro area and this tucked off hotel is one of the best days I’ve ever had. I wish I had plans to be there longer so I could stay more nights very courteous staff very nice amenities and very great location.

Property would definitely hospital back
- 5/5
Great room and staff. They are doing a complete renovation in the lobby and restaurant. But I think it will be a great hotel once it finishes.
- 5/5
great experience even with the work that is going on there. staff is excellent and stay was peaceful and restful!
- 5/5
Carla, Sean, Jonathan and Thomas (valet and front desk are amazing. They were all super helpful and such a pleasure to talk to. Will definitely stay there again!!
- 4/5
It was a nice hotel and the staff are all nice and on top of things. I didn’t like that they don’t have any vending machines or anywhere to buy things and in order to get something you have to leave and that means spending more money to get out the parking garage. I also think this place would be great if you add a pool it’s a nice place but it’s a little boring

- 5/5
The staff was incredibly friendly, and the building itself is a beautiful century-old hotel. The Reality: While the website noted that the restaurant would be under renovation until May 1st, we arrived on that date to find the entire first-floor lobby still completely tarped off and under full construction. There was no bar available, and the restaurant had been relocated to a second-floor banquet room with a very limited menu. Final Thoughts: It didn't necessarily ruin our stay, but it was disappointing to miss out on a nightcap or the beautiful public spaces shown in the advertisements. I just wish there had been more transparency that the entire ground floor was a construction zone with no clear end date in sight. Also, there is a parking garage across the street for half the price of valet-I'm glad I read parking reviews prior to arrival.

There was some construction going on but I slept great! Walked to the Deep Ellum neighborhood without any issues.
- 4/5
Our room itself was very nice and really small - two beds made it really full. Construction was underway at the hotel so no lobby area. Restaurant and bar were moved to a conference like room, served the purpose but no atmosphere. After construction is complete, we would stay there again.

The hotel was under renovation, so there really weren't any amenities. The room was very clean and comfortsble. The staff members were all very welcoming and helpful. Especially Dora.
- 4/5
The hotel was awesome even though it was in the process of being renovated!
- 2/5
Room was small and dirty and very loud.
- 3/5
Had a noisy neighbor the issue was never resolved. Did not get any sleep. This is more of an internal problem of how to deal with noise complaints.
- 4/5
Great location, comfortable bed, fantastic air conditioning. Poor water pressure, limited natural light, some low quality workmanship on room finishes. Paint etc.
- 5/5
Everything was good, no complaint
- 5/5
Location Everything was good, no complaint
- 3/5
The hotel and room were clean. Staff were excellent. I hate complaining about food, but for what we paid for breakfast I have to say it was disappointing. The potatoes were cold and hard. Not much to choose from either. Parking is $55 per night to valet. Another factor that wasn’t mentioned prior to booking
- 3/5
I was not impressed with this hotel. I was not notified about ongoing construction during my stay. Dora kindly provided breakfast for us. The cleanliness of the room was ok, the window behind the bathroom door had fingerprints and smudges. The wallpaper in the hallway was coming loose as soon as you stepped off the elevator; we stayed in room 810. Safety was a concern, as we did not need to use our room key to access our floor. I have stayed at other Hotel Indigo locations, and I found this one disappointing.
- 5/5
The hotel is undergoing renovations, so the lobby was small and the restaurant had been moved (and menu limited). However, the room was lovely, staff was fantastic, housekeeping service actually came every day (which is rare in most hotels these days)! I would definitely stay with Hotel Indigo again.

Room was nice and comfy, minus the construction out front it was perfect but still very accommodating.
- 5/5
Unfortunately the hotel is still under construction and management did an excellent job in communicating that and what to expect during our stay. I chose to stay here because of the excellent reviews but it is tough to look past the construction work that is being completed. I do believe once everything is 100% complete, the experience of staying at Hotel Indigo will live to up to their reviews and I would be happy to book another stay here. Thank you again staff, you're doing a phenomenal job!

Not a lot really but it was in fairness undergoing renovations. That was a shock on our arrival. As the hotel was undergoing renovations we accepted the tempory check in desk in the hallway. But the receptionist never once apologied for the appearance. While he wasn't rude at anytime he had a stern manner. The real proplem was hes misreading of our reservtion. We paid in advance for parking but he told us we could self park or else pay for valet parking. Because he checked in both rooms separetly he did not see the parking included on the second room. when I pointed this out he said we should take it up with booking.com. It was only when he charged the second room more than the first room that he took interest and the valet parked the car. We didn't try breakfast as we were not expecting much based on our check in experience.

La ubicación Arriving at a hotel at 2:30 in the morning after a long flight, with multiple delays and total exhaustion, should have one simple reward: a ready room and a bed to rest. At Hotel Indigo Dallas Downtown, the reality was quite the opposite. Our stay had been booked and fully paid for months in advance. However, upon arrival, the receptionist —whose name started with M— informed us that, due to a supposed “technical update,” they could not give us our room. Whether this explanation is true or not, what is completely unacceptable is that we were not warned in advance, especially when the hotel advertises a 24-hour check-in service. What followed made the situation even worse: we were left waiting for nearly 40 minutes at 3:00 a.m., in a city we do not know, completely exhausted after our journey. It is incomprehensible that, with a confirmed reservation made months ago, the hotel did not have a room ready for guests whose late arrival was entirely foreseeable. The lack of professionalism did not end there. When I asked to file a complaint, the receptionist refused to provide contact details for a manager or supervisor, which only increased the feeling of helplessness and poor customer service. To make matters worse, the situation continued the next day: we left the room at 9:00 a.m., and when we returned at 11:00 p.m., we found that the room had not even been cleaned. A basic service —the absolute minimum expected from any hotel— was simply not provided, especially after such a disappointing experience. In short, poor management, lack of foresight, inadequate customer care, and a complete absence of solutions. An experience far below what one would expect from a hotel of this category, and certainly not one I would recommend. Llegar a un hotel a las 2:30 de la madrugada después de un vuelo largo, con retrasos y agotamiento acumulado, debería tener una única recompensa: una cama lista y una habitación preparada.

Princeton at the front desk was so nice and inviting. The room was amazing!!! The view! The wifi! The bed was comfortable. We were upgraded to a suite and it was so spacious. The hotel was in walking distance to great food. It was very close to a scooter tour we went on. There was also a beautiful park right across the street that my hubby and I walked one night. The hotel is under construction. The valet area is not great. There was one valet guy (older black guy) who was rude and didn't get speak or get our keys. He had to come to our room later to get them. Other than that the location of the hotel was perfect.

The staff was wonderful, very pleasant. The TV did not work well, but they did fix it, the next day the TV did not work again. You had to pay for everything. I thought the breakfast was continental but was not, very expensive.

Staff was great. Hotel should be closed while they renovate. No common area to sit while you wait. People outside your window hammering on the facade starting at 8am. Should have been notified by Expedia before I booked it. Didn’t get a notification until a few days prior. The hotel should have offered free something to put up with all the chaos. Perhaps in a year it will be a great place but avoid it if you can until they finish.

Room was generally clean and every member of staff was professional, courteous, and helpful. The staff is outstanding. The problem are the rooms. No microwave or full length mirror. If someone is using the bathroom, you'll have to wait to use the only mirror in the room. Clothes closet is also in the bathroom. Biggest problem is it's hard to get sleep. Hotel provides free earplugs because the walls are negligible. We could clearly hear every conversation in surrounding rooms and hallway. Our nephew was able to find our room because he could hear my voice all the way down the hall and we were having a normal conversation.

I travelled to Dallas for a medical procedure. I chose this hotel because of location to the surgical center and amenities. When we arrived we found out the first floor was under construction, which meant no restaurant. I would not be able to walk much after my surgery and this was a big inconvenience. We had to use door dash. There was no mention on the website, our reservation or any other form of communication that there was construction. Would have been nice to know so I could select a better fit for my needs. Also, there was no discount pricing for the room.

Loved my experience at the hotel. It was a cozy and clean room. They were super flexible with both early check-in and free late check-out. I would 10/10 return here. Only thing was my phone could connect to the WiFi but not my laptop Not a huge deal I just used my personal hot spot.
- 2.5/5
Small room for the price. View of another window. It's definitely not worth the price of over $600 for 2 days. They said I could checkin early on the phone and when I got there, they said I had to pay for a whole nother day. The shower leaked. I won't be staying again.

Bathroom was clean and functional. However, water pressure in the shower was weak. Access to the bathroom would be greatly improved with the inclusion of a pocket door. The current door opens into the closet space, meaning that it had to be closed to access the closet from inside the bathroom. The hotel lobby was open and spacious. Hotel staff members were friendly and accommodating. Food in hotel restaurant was good.

The whole thing was awful we were overcharged they locked us out of our room for 3 hours so we didn't even get breakfast because our breakfast vouchers were upstairs. We stay in hotels often and this is by far the worst we have ever been treated, The service was horrible that woman should not even be working the front desk and even after I told her that my husband just had a heart transplant and does not need this stress she kept on adding more and more money still wouldn't let me in the room it was ridiculous. I believe it was a racial thing and this is discrimination at it's finest because while stuck in the lobby for 3 hours with my dogs I noticed that we were the only white people staying in this hotel and everyone else is black and she treated them amazing every single one of them! And then when we ask for a receipt because we paid over $500 to stay one night in a hotel when we booked through hotels.com the room was 139 they wouldn't even give us a receipt!!!

We stayed on the 13th floor, and the room was very clean and nice, with a spacious bathroom and an actual soap dispenser at the sink. It was a little noisy with construction on the floor above us but complimentary ear plugs were provided in the room when we checked in. The common area was also pretty chilly, it doesn’t appear to be insulated. There was only one elevator working during our stay, so there were several times we waited 5+ minutes for an elevator. There’s also construction right outside the hotel, making it super inconvenient to be dropped off or catch a ride. Overall a good option for a weekend stay.

Undergoing renovations but otherwise good location and reasonable quality overall for the event I was attending. Staff was helpful and accommodating. Renovation meant slow elevators, some noise, and issues getting ride share drivers to pickup at the right spot.

The staff is nice and the room was fine, but this is the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. I suppose the earplugs on the nightstand should have been our warning, but I thought they were for the construction that this hotel has been undergoing since January 2025. Although construction on a downtown hotel would not have been a deal-breaker for us, we weren't warned about it when we booked, and only learned about it the day before when we received an email from the manager. I am including that information here for those who care about that. We stayed over a weekend, so construction noise wasn't an issue for us. However, I can only imagine what it's like during the week. The walls at this hotel are paper-thin. What we experienced was VERY loud cars whizzing by all night long. On the first night, a car seemingly pulled up to the front and played an entire song at the loudest volume setting at 12:30 am. On our second night, we heard someone screaming at their friends in a nearby room at 1:30 am, and these are the most memorable disruptions to our sleep. It was just chaotic, and this is coming from a heavy sleeper who lives in another major city's downtown. I have never left a hotel review before, but this was bad enough that I felt people should know. If you need to wake up early, work in your room, or want to relax, consider yourself warned.

Easy check in and Great staff! I love how they didn't treat me as if I had booked via 3rd party but more as valued guest.
- 5/5
Room and inside of property looked great. Staff was very helpful and food in restaurant was great as well.
- 5/5
Eat in the restaurant.I was quite disappointed with old food. Even ordering two different shows not quite worth the wait.
- 5/5
I loved my stay at hotel indigo! The staff was very friendly and helpful, everything was within walking distance.
- 5/5
Room was cute and clean.
- 5/5
Our stay at Hotel Indigo was excellent. Staff was helpful, kind and courteous. I left personal belonging in the room and everyone was helpful in getting these returned to me. Kudos to Lazarus for all the texts and email to arranged the return. We will definitely stay again. Thanks to all.
- 5/5
The staff was absolutely incredible! I was traveling for business and felt like I had concierge service. The bedding was comfortable and clean and I felt at home for 4 days. A special shoutout to Dora, Lazarus and the rest of the team.
- 4/5
Great stay here! They are remodeling mostly outside the building but inside was beautiful. We were there on the holiday weekend so no noise from construction. Our room faced the street so we did hear street sounds…cars, etc.. Next time I’ll ask for a room in the interior or other side of the building.. They should also mount the TV on the wall so it’s visible from both beds.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel ! Next to lots of eats and attractions
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay and the price was great for the area! There is valet parking but if you want to save the $44 there is a parking garage directly across the street.
- 5/5
I was greeted with the nicest person. I wish I knew her name, but she was so kind. The room was beautiful and so comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Huge renovation under way. No problem! Quiet, clean, great food service. Well done, Hotel Indigo

Incredibly loud. The hotel is undergoing maintenance and was given no warning until a day before arrival. Hammering in the room next door, drilling from outside.

Hotel undergoing renovations so didn’t earn full marks Great stay, very clean, good value
- 5/5
The staff is FANTASTIC! They are knowledgeable of the area and the history of the hotel. Everyone is extremely friendly and not in a fake way. The hotel is going through renovation but the construction did not impact my stay.
- 5/5
Nice retro feel, but modernized. It was under construction but our stay was quiet and comfortable.
- 5/5
Good central location on Main St, short walk to lots of dining options
- 5/5
Figuring out how to get into this hotel, as well as the parking options, was frustrating. Even though the property address is on Main St. The front of the hotel is on Harwood.

As always, thoroughly enjoyed my stay at hotel indigo.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 1/5
Hotels.com did not list that Hotel Indigo was under construction. I received an email from Hotels.com the day after it was too late to cancel my reservation. Construction was not suppose to start until 10:00am on Saturday. The construction crew started at 8:30am. I called the front desk multiple times and the banging did not stop. There was suppose to be no construction on Sunday. The room across the hall from us had construction starting at 8:00am. I asked the construction working to at least shut the door.
- 4/5
The hotel is nice, the room was great, the bathroom and shower were very good but lacking a vent fan. Downsides, valet parking is almost $50 per night—look for a good garage for rates 90% cheaper—and the room made all sorts of noises throughout the night. Staff were friendly and the location is convenient to downtown.
- 5/5
The staff were exceptional. I particularly appreciated the front desk staff Carla, Devon and the doorman.
- 5/5
My room was amazing a suit had everything I needed much space. Relaxing no noise
- 5/5
We had a comfortable and excellent stay
- 5/5
Comfortable and clean. Traffic noise was bad but they do provide ear plugs.
- 5/5
It was a clean hotel that seemed well kept. It's older, so we did have to yank the bathroom door shut, but they are mid renovations as well. The rooms are a little small, so not for you if you're looking for space. Lovely hotel, located in the middle of everything, kind staff, and easy check in and out. We will be back!
- 4/5
Hoping construction is done soon!
- 5/5
Great experience!
- 5/5
Super clean
- 5/5
Beautiful Hotel under renovation when we were there. Rooms were cozy and clean. Close to much of what Dallas has to offer.
- 5/5
It was very clean and service was wonderful! Definitely an old hotel; the elevator felt old and uncertain it would make it but other than that, it was very nice.
- 4/5
👍
- 2/5
The property was under construction, had I known I wouldn’t have booked. The entire stay I had to walk through a construction site.
- 5/5
The exterior has scaffolding as it is undergoing renovation which I was not aware of. Once I walked inside, I realized it was just the exterior. It is a lovely hotel.
- 4/5
We had a vreat stay, cool old hotel, room set ups were a bit winky due to the pld building but still nice
- 3/5
There are ear plugs provided, so obviously noise is an acknowledged issue. Maybe double glassing would have been a good investment as part of the renovation. The food at the restaurant is ok, a bit greasy and some options were not available like no milk for coffee, just oat and maybe soy available. Not a bad place to stay a few nights
- 5/5
Despite the outside construction a very pleasant experience
- 2/5
Hotel put a $750 hold on my card that froze up my bank account for the whole trip and the charge didn’t lifted from my account until the week after checkout. Done booking hotels w/ expedia

The property is in downtown Dallas and there was lots of street noise, but it is a nice hotel.
- 5/5
The staff were exceptional. All were very helpful and friendly. We were in Dallas to attend a graduation at The Majestic, which was just across the street from the hotel, so very convenient.
- 3/5
Too much noise around property, specially at night where some racers enjoy running their cars at high speeds and very noisy engines much of the night
- 5/5
Staff was super nice. Room was nice. Easy to get an uber and get around town!
- 5/5
Excellent stay!
- 5/5
Very big rooms, nice and clean hotel. Walkable to restaurants and Majestic Theater across the street. Hotel staff very nice and helpful. We'll be back!
- 5/5
Snorkeling was great. Dining over the ocean was amazing. The food there was great.
- 5/5
I liked the staff. They were super friendly and helpful. Made my stay great even through construction.
- 5/5
The history of the building, and the layout of the rooms was a pleasant surprise. The historic renovation work was not too disruptive to my stay. I can't wait to come back and see the completed project! Front desk staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.
- 5/5

- 5/5

It was convenient for the show we were attending. The hotel is under construction, but that means upgrades are happening. Everything was good.

- 5/5
Stayed for a few days. Staff so friendly and nice. Walking distance to a lot of great food and drink options.
- 4/5
The rooms, gym and downstairs restaurant and welcome area are nice. The hallways look dated. The elevators are being upgraded so there was a lot of delays for the elevator and construction on site when you enter/exit the building.
- 5/5
Very friendly greeting on arrival and were checked on during our stay to make sure everything was ok. Suite was very spacious and were not affected by noise of ongoing improvements to the building. Very walkable location in downtown Dallas and 25 mins from train station and deep ellum on foot. Small shop in lobby of hotel provided essentials. Overall great stay.
- 5/5
While it is going through renovations...the staff was very hospitable and made the stay welcoming.

- 4/5
Property was very well kept with knowledgeable and friendly staff on hand.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and nicely updated.
- 5/5
Currently under renovation, but this didn't really get in our way. Overall a nice stay.
- 5/5
A lot of construction around the hotel made arriving difficult.
- 5/5
This is a fabulous property! Despite the current restorations outside, the property is quiet and well kept! We stayed here to go to a show at Trees - easy to walk to! Would stay here again.
- 3/5
Great place, but currently undergoing construction and the elevators are terrible.
- 2/5
Poorly maintained - dried paint drops through out the room. This is far from a luxury hotel and the price should reflect it.
- 5/5
Great location
- 3/5
I would say that the cleanliness of the room was disappointing. The location was close to places to eat and things to do.
- 5/5
Everything was right..
- 5/5
Great service
- 4/5
I did not like how the room key cannot open the door when it is already latched from the inside (not deadbolted) but other than that it was great.
- 4/5
Nice play to stay!
- 2/5
There was a sewage smell throughout the hotel and it was really strange in the hall ways for sure, and trying to park with valet was a nightmare it took them 30min to get to me and I had to park in The middle of the street.
- 4/5
Overall, it was OK. Couldn’t eat there because I really don’t have a restaurant. So I would say it’s just a place to be to sleep. I love indigo hotels I know they’re small, but historic hotels are always cool.
- 4/5
Great boutique hotel. The people /service from the valet, front desk, to bar tender are wonderful. They do face some construction going on in front of the hotel, but no biggie. The walls are a tad thin. What’s cool is that they provide ear plugs. Would definitely come back
- 5/5
The hotel is Wonderful, but the staff is fantastic, very welcoming and kind, so helpful! The hotel is in a great location, really close to great places, it is in the heart of downtown Dallas. I would come back again!
- 4/5
Amazing
- 5/5
It was great location and the staff was so nice. Will come back again when I’m in Dallas!
- 4/5
Over all nice and clean close to lots of places to eat. Can be loud at night while people travel to Deep Ellum, vehicles revving engines and echos while going under the overpass goes on late into the night. Also the bathrooms were not made for larget people.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Despite of the work they had going on with the building it was still very nice employees where very nice and helpful the food was so good I wanted more the next day but was already home I should jabe took some to go my room was nice and quiet can't wait to come back
- 5/5
Excellent service and property.
- 2/5
This hotel has construction going on. We had no warning of this when booking, which should have been disclosed by hotels.com. Two of the three elevators were down (unrelated to the construction). Our door lock didn't work, the AC units were loud and didn't work, the toilet ran all night due to the flap needing adjusting, the beds were terrible...very uncomfortable...they have seen more action then Vin Diesel in a Fast N Furious movie and have never been replaced. The overall hotel is in need of serious work. The staff was amazing at check in and I didn't bother them with any of these issues as they are not their fault. I have stayed at numerous Hotel Indigo locations and this one was not even close to the standards.
- 5/5
The staff was very nice & accommodating. The breakfast was good. I would recommend this property. I would have given an excellent rating but there was construction going on outside the property
- 3/5
Under construction. , and there is no parking. They have valet parking for and extra fee
- 5/5
Super bien
- 5/5
Beautiful old building, fascinating history, very comfortable bed, extremely happy staff… loved it. Have stayed at just about every Dallas downtown hotel, and without doubt, we can stop hotel shopping, this is the place to go for our frequent trips to Dallas.
