This was a convenient location for the things we were doing in Dallas for the weekend. Hotel was great and provided all we needed.

Plans for checkin day changed and was able to check in extremely early. Great service and got to rest eadily.

The rooms were great a bit more towels would be amazing.

The staff was good, but there’s a little work with communication that needs to be addressed. We had requested someone from maintenance to come to our room to look into fixing the mini fridge. We didn’t mind waiting while we were out in about. But when we came back to our room we noticed no one came up to fix it. We asked once more to see if someone could by and fix it because we didn’t want our snacks for the trip to spoil. At the end, we never received the help we requested, and sadly had to trash the snacks/food we brought for the trip. Overall though this was my only complaint. The rooms were very nice and clean, and the rest of the hotel was nice.

The night time service when requested extra blankets and the girl in the front desk AT NIGHT was nice. Girl In the morning was trash. Food was disgusting, breakfast was not free and over priced, took forever to get room service, and the facilities were having construction outside making the appearance look like it wasn’t even operating.

The biggest issue was the AC. No matter what we set the thermostat to, the room stayed warm especially at night. In Texas heat, that's rough. There were a few nights where we woke up sweating, and the only spot that felt cool was standing right in front of the vent. The rest of the room stayed warm and humid the whole time. I did mention it to the front desk during our stay, and they were great about listening. I just couldn't tell if anyone actually looked at the unit, because the temperature never really changed. The other thing was the bathroom lighting it was pretty dim, which made it hard to get ready in the mornings. I wanted to bring these up because outside of those two things, the hotel was great. Fix the cooling and brighten up the bathrooms and I think you'd have very little to complain about. I appreciate the hospitality and hope this is useful feedback.

Nice smooth check in, room was nice and clean. We did have one light/lamp that didnt work called the front desk and somone was supposed to go up to check it out but never did. Soooooo we were down one light, that during the day it was okay with getting plenty of outside light. Property is currently under construction with zero noise complaints. View from our room was nice my boys loved it. Parking was not bad at all for it being a busy graduation weekend. Overall nice hotel off the Central Expressway.

The room and property were clean and well kept. They seem do be doing there best with the construction affecting check in and the front of the hotel. Room was good, but dated, some age and damage showing on the future. The lighting was very low, controlled at each lamp instead of individual switches. All of this is nit-picking, but our expectations of a double tree property are high. We would stay here again.

Noting I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The staff at the reception desk were rude, my room was never cleaned, and after I gave my clothes to the laundry service, they lost them. This level of service is completely unacceptable for a hotel charging $200+ per night. I’ve had better service at roadside motels.

When I arrived the water was out for two days (not the planned maintenance that they had mentioned but not till I got there) this was a separate issue. After traveling all day and checking in and unable to not have water is not idea. What was worse it was the next day after dinner that we finally had the ability to shower

Staff was kind, restaurant served a great breakfast. The hotel felt older, but it was clean. The only negative I saw was that there was no mirror in the living space of the room. There were 3 in the bathroom, but if it's occupied, there's no other mirror to use.

Well, this is my favorite place to stay in the SMU area of Dallas. However, this visit I was a little disappointed. The first room I was placed in, the toilet would not flush well at all, and the sink filled up when I brushed my teeth. It took 10 minutes to drain. They switched me to another room where the bathtub spout sprayed all over the wall and floor when you turned it on and again the sink didn’t drain well. This is the first time I have stayed here when things were not kept up. Otherwise rooms were very clean and comfortable.

When we went, outside of the hotel was being renovated. Free but limited parking at night. Our shower was leaking. However, the room clean, bed was comfy, and the view was amazing. Staff was nice. Despite some hiccups, we would stay here again.

This hotel is in a very bad of renovation. Everything is dark and dingy, lights are dim, mirrors are brown. Everything is dark and brown. Floor lamp doesn’t work, bathtub has black stains because it hasn’t been washed properly for years. They said the renovation has started from top level down. It’s 21 floors, we stayed on the 4th floor. It’s going to be a while before it’s done.

The hotel overall was nice & convenient. I would recommend changing the bathtubs to walk-in showers. Safer for all guests. Plus, I doubt that many guests want to soak in a publicly used tub even with good cleaning.

Love the convenience of the location. The beds were comfy. Everything was great! The only thing I would suggest is to please get more than one treadmill in the fitness area

My first night was great great view. My second night was horrible. Didn’t have no hot water. The whole time kept getting the runaround. It’ll be fixed in 30 minutes than an hour and a half and it never got fixed during my stay made it very hard to relax and get clean

The hotel was nice. Free parking is great! Close to 75 hwy and shopping. On the morning of our departure there was no hot water in the shower. Told the front desk and was advised "Oh, yeah, it was fixed but the part broke." No apology, no offer of credit. No warning. Sign in elevator said water was going to be shut off that day from 11 am to 5 pm. No free breakfast, which was also disappointing for the amount of money you pay for a room. Asked for free cookies night before, "I only have 1 left. We are having trouble with our cookie supplier." Funny, same girl told me that in the morning when I left. This was the day after they had a women's convention in the hotel.

Room was nice and spacious we got the king bed room, the shower only got hot the first night. Breakfast was very nasty and 22 a person each time you go. Although the property was nice it was a sewer smell on my floor which was floor 16. Probably won’t be back but it was a nice stay

We stayed in a very clean, comfortable room. However, there was a soccer children's event going on. There was loudness of kids up to around 12:00 on our hall.

The service at the front desk really has room for improvement. The checkin experience was not pleasant. The lady was just talking to me with a poker face the entire time. Also I don't like that there is no bottle opener in guest rooms, and they also do not allow us to borrow. The front desk said we had to bring all our glasses to the front desk for them to open, because they feared that guests would steal the opener away. I think this is really zero trust for customers, also the hotel can establish a borrow system if there are really theft cases happening in the past.

Older hotel. I’m told it’s a nice area but not easily walkable to restaurants which are mostly fast food. Right next to highway. Had a smell to the room, clearly older.

The blackout curtains and the extremely comfortable bed make a stay here an easy choice. While the property is a little aged and worn, the kindness and courtesy of the staff make up for it. Underground parking is a plus especially given Dallas' unpredictable weather.

Our room was beautiful and in the middle of every place we went to so it was very convenient! The staff we dealt with was a little rude and brushed us off when we checked in. They gave no information about where the pool was, when breakfast was served, or any other amenities. Other than that we very much enjoyed our stay!

This hotel was a good stay but it’s an aging hotel. There was some sort of dripping sound in the bathroom but the room itself was more than fine. Comfortable bed, good temp, warm and clean bath. My biggest complaint is that staff need to control kids and alert parents to control their kids running around the entire hotel. There appeared to be some sort of tourney and kids was just running around and using the elevators til late at night. Some sort of notice should be given to patrons to explain this not acceptable to travelers. Would I stay here again, yes! But I would def ask if there are major events or anything to make an informed choice.

No breakfast. The room was nice and all. Our neighbor(s) came back to their room at 1:30 am and had a party. There was loud music and what sounded like 15 people. Despite two calls to the front desk, our neighbors’ party didn’t break up until 4:15 am. The staff didn’t seemed too concerned about it. Needless to say, my wife and I were not able to fall back asleep until after 4:00.

Overall a great stay.Breakfast was delicious, the free cookies are very delicious. It’s just time to remodel. You can see some of the fixtures in the bathroom are old.

The hotel is located is a great area. There are restaurants near by and shopping centers. The is a mall across near. Also, Dallas has a Tea Party bus called Tea Around Town and it gives a short tour of the downtown Dallas area while tasting teas and snacking on finger foods. It's a great experience.

Absolute luxury, 2 malls 1 within walking distance… hotel close to everything lots to do..

We had a suite and it was very clean and comfortable. We were given a list of restaurants in the area and that was out dated with a few of the restaurants listed, being permanently closed.

Carpeting had snags in it. Shower curtain ready to fall off wall.

Stayed in a room across the elevated railroad tracks. We were on the 19th floor and we were awaken by every train that passes by.

The room was exactly like the pictures, had a great view, very spacious. The staff were super friendly. I had zero issues checking in and obviously the cookies is always a hit… will stay here again.

There was a man harassing my children., no pool and the staff treated up mean didn't want to give us extra blanket, cause the other blanket was dirty and they didn't belive us, and so he question us about that, they offer free choc Cookies, my kids went down and asked and they said they dont have any..I went down and they had some.

The restaurant was closed so the only food was at the bar. The server/bartender was super busy trying to keep up. Kudos to the server/bartender but management takes a hit.

We both really liked it and looking forward to staying there again. Close to all we needed to see. We went for a concert, finished the night at lifestyle club and finished the night, more like the morning at the hotel. Great place to stay looking forward to future trips.

The staff was very helpful during a hotel system outage. They were very patient and efficient. I think the rooms could use a little bit of updating, but besides that everything was clean and comfy. Maintenance helped us fix a charger problem very fast.

The room was spotless and comfortable, but as far as the bathroom, I wasn't happy with the shower pressure in the shower. Overall, I had a great time, truly though.

The bad: Computers went down and those of us trying to check-in ended up sitting in the lobby for 90 minutes; towels and wash rags like sandpaper; room furniture torn and shabby.

Great central location (though not especially walkable), free parking (!), comfortable and spacious room, friendly front-desk staff. Special shout-out to housekeeping manager Nick, who helped find and return a shopping bag I left in the room. Gym is a little small and under-equipped. But still managed a workout just fine.

Toilet paper was sandpaper, towels were old and rough. Carpet in my room had holes and rips. Old neglected hotel.

Very disappointed. Management change. Almost double the price. Didn't care. Room cleanliness questionable. Staff aloof and disinterested. And worst of all, they cheaped out on the COOKIE.

Unfortunately, with the recent winter storm, we couldn’t safely make it into Dallas for our stay (3 rooms with 6 nights total). I called 3-4 days before the stay (when the weather was confirmed to be too dangerous) and again when it actually started to shut Dallas down to ask about rescheduling our trip to the following weekend (didn’t need a refund). The staff was so rude, could care less about the weather and safety of its patrons saying “it’s not our problem. We have to make money too”. I could understand if we asked for a full refund, but we did not. We were still coming to spend money at their bar, restaurant, etc. Never again after the way we were treated, to any Hilton facility.

I was charged for breakfast, tips, and other restaurant fees, but I did not visit the restaurant at all. I tried calling during BUSINESS hours on friday but I was told no one at restaurant could help until monday, so I have to call back on monday for something I'm not supposed to deal with until they have someone for their restaurant. If you aren't trying to impress someone (or yourself), this is an ok place to stay. The photos are representative of the decor (what passes for elegant when one is on a budget). However, the details can be disappointing. Furnishings can be worn and appear rather tired. Am sure this place looked much better when it first opened. Opted for a junior suite and the end table (glass top) fell apart the moment it was moved from the couch. Fortunately the glass didn't break when it hit the frame on the way to the floor (not kid friendly tho). Mini fridge had a vibration when running so just shut it off for the three days I was there. Definitely better than a motel in any case and very convenient to North Park Center Mall which apparently is the best quality one in Dallas.

It was ok. The food at the breakfast was yummy and the service was good but not lotion and body wash in the shower and very limited towels. The stuff was very nice

There’s a bar in the lobby that was actually pretty busy on Saturday night, I didn’t drink or eat there as I assumed their menu was probably going to be pretty basic and there’s a lot of good options nearby. Not sure about a gym or pool or spa, nobody mentioned anything. Parking was free and not complicated. Overall it was a good stay, would consider staying there again but it was a little pricy for being a basic hotel. Will probably give Double Tree in Richardson a try next time.

Great stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dallas. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was bustling but quiet—no noise from room to room to keep you from sleeping. The staff were absolutely perfect, in my opinion. Friendly and professional, they made me feel welcome and looked after but not pestered. Every single staff member with whom I interacted was proactively and genuine from check-in to the bar/restaurant area. The hotel itself is beautiful, older but not outdated by any means. I could hear street noise from loud cars outside, but I don’t think that could be prevented and it didn’t keep me from sleeping. Considering the look, feel, service, features, and amenities it was more than worth the cost.

The gentleman that checked me in was very nice and was happy with the rooms and food at the bar.

The area was conveniently located with plenty of well-lit parking. The staff at check in and checkout were friendly and made the process easy. Free coffee in the lobby area in the morning was nice. The room was clean but it could use a few improvements/touch-ups. There was an exposed pipe in the ceiling of the shower, missing tile around the shower faucet, chipped paint on the painted column in the room, either mold or lots of dust under the air vent into the room and some rust showing on some screws in the bathroom ceiling. Nothing major but when paying for a hotel stay details matter.

Easy free parking. No free breakfast. A little pricy for generic buffet. Corner room wirh large windows good but no mirror in room. Lighting not great. But bathroom lighting was terrible.

Mattresses were old and compressed. I had to sleep in the middle to get any firmness. No microwave in the room, and fridge was just an old minibar one that didn't cool well at all. Almost had to waste my food. Went to get ice and there are no longer working ice machines on the floors. No alarm clock. Breakfast is not included (has to be requested separately). Exercise bike had broken seat in the fitness center. Overall, felt safe, but won't stay here again. For less money, could get a lot more elsewhere.

This hotel was nice, close to many great restaurants and entertainment. They have a Topgolf Swing Suite on sight and a Bar and Restaurant also. The free cookies were awesome and the staff was great. Free parking was also greatly appreciated, a rarity these days. 0 complaints! Would absolutely stay again

Hotel is not in a good area for walking. It seems like it was probably magnificent at one time but now appears tired. The staff thanked me for being a loyalty member at check in a told me the water was free because of it, then tried to charge me for it on my way out.

This should be complimentary in every room. I think Hilton can afford it

• Cleanliness: The bathtub was filthy, with peeling finish, mold and mildew in the corners, and an overall smell of dampness throughout the room. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, which made the odor worse. • Safety: I stepped on a random screw that had come loose and was lying on the bathroom floor – barefoot. This is a major safety hazard and should never happen in a guestroom. • Functionality: The shower did not drain properly, leaving me standing in several inches of water. The entire experience felt unsanitary and unsafe. • Overall Condition: The bathroom fixtures were rusty, the caulking was black and peeling, and the room smelled strongly of mold and mildew. I expected better from a DoubleTree property. This was not just uncomfortable, but a health and safety concern. I will be contacting management directly about this experience, as the room should have been taken out of service until properly cleaned, repaired, and ventilated.

When we checked in the front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The next morning, we called the front desk to ask about an ice machine, he was rude and not helpful. The same person at the front when we check out was not friendly and he was on his cell phone and didn't want to be interrupted.

Loved my junior suite. I requested balloons in my room for when I arrived, and they delivered, even included a hand-written birthday card. I would book again. I was concerned about the location when I was booking, but when I arrived, I quickly noticed it was near restaurants, a mall, and a short drive to my other destinations.

Property was very nice and clean. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Check in and checkout was a breeze. Will definitely stay here again.

Front desk let us check in early and it was such a nice surprise- we were there for a football game so the extra hour was nice!! Staff was amazing. I definitely recommend this hotel!!

We have always loved staying at the Doubletree Campbell Center. It’s always been clean, with courteous, helpful staff. It is close to great shopping and restaurants.

There is nothing to like and unique. The property was dirty. The beds were disgusting. The room was not clean. I asked the front desk about moving. They weren’t hearing it or having it. They didn’t care. I’m gonna stop using Expedia. This is the second time I’ve had a bad experience with you guys in the hotels that you recommend.

My room was 57 degrees upon arrival and I had no way to change the temperature. When I called the desk, he said “it’s Texas it gets hot turn it off if you are too cold.” So my options were sauna or freezer and it took hours and several calls and engineering came up and it was in fact broken. I ended up leaving because the front desk guy was like oh sorry, we will give you a free breakfast (that I had already paid for btw). Simone the manager the next day was really nice but the first guy was awful and I cancelled the rest of reservation. Now Expedia won’t give me the money or credit my account because I used a one time use card. Terrible experience!

As I always do, when we arrived I turned the ac down to 68 to get the room nice and cool while we were out on the town. When we got back to the hotel the room didnt seem to be any cooler and at 2 am my significant other and I both woke up to an 80 degree room. I did call the front desk and the gentleman was quick to get us in another room which we appreciated, but it wasn't exactly the night we had planned for our anniversary.

This was one of the best Hotels I’ve stayed in. The Hilton is already reputable but this hotel was beautiful, stayed on the 20th floor and the panoramic view from the room looking over the city is what set the tone! I will always book this hotel hopefully the same room! 😅

Poor water pressure in the shower. AC wasn’t cooling properly. The bath water drains too slow. I took a shower in 3 inches of bath water.

This is where it’s not quite a 5. The staff was great and the place was clean but the hotel itself is dated and repairs haven’t been kept up with. Specifically the elevators and the ice machines. Had to go to the 12th floor from the 18th to find a working ice machine and every elevator I ride had some sort of physical damage to the interior. This hotel could use a facelift as it’s all cosmetic

I had an amazing stay at this Doubletree. The room was clean and well kept and the corner room with panoramic windows was beautiful! The staff were respectful, and the free chocolate chip cookie was a plus. I will definitely be booking again.

Staff was friendly. Parking was scarce. The underground parking access code didn’t work. The biggest detractor was my room fridge was at 63 degrees, and I had breast milk stored in there. it felt like an inconvenience to get resolution considering I was only staying just one night. Ice machines weren’t on the floors listed adding to the Inconvenience to find ice.

We’ve been booking this hotel through Expedia for years when visiting family in Dallas with no issues but have noticed a decline in the property and staff our last two times staying there. The last time we stayed there was a power outage. This time there was a mixup in the check-in date which we confirmed with Expedia and the hotel verbally before checking in. The Double Tree did not update the checkin date on their end and instead of looking at the confirmation emails and/or verifying with Expedia they said we should pay for the room again through the hotel at a higher rate and get a refund from Expedia. I declined and asked if they would look at the confirmation email which he said sure sir I see the date on the email and I’ll get a manager to help you all out with this. Instead a security guard came and we waited another 15 minutes for the manager to arrive. After showing the manager the confirmation emails that we had already taken the necessary actions that he was suggesting, he wouldn’t even look at them and said quote “you people do this all the time”, this was not racial but highly disrespectful. He treated us as if we were trying to scam him. My wife then contacted an Expedia rep who was able to confirm our reservation (which was already in their system but had been overlooked) they finally handed us the keys to the room. No apologies from the manager. We only booked to change our clothes before dinner for our 13th wedding anniversary. Never staying there again.

I like how easy it to park and how convenient it is to the surrounding shopping mall and grocery stores, and the elevator is very fast. What I don't like was the sound insulation as my room was near highway and the glass wall did not work well, and how I was assigned to a wrong room in the first place, where it's chair had cookie remnants and lipstick stain on it, even though the frontdesk changed my room after a few times of communication.

Wonderful iconic hotel in middle of Dallas. Across from Northpark Mall (great shopping) and easy to get anywhere timely in Dallas. Lots of restaurants around but no need for dessert at them because Doubletree has you covered there with a wonderful chocolate chip cookie!
