    Most the floors stunk of weed, the front staff wasn’t very helpful at all made us wait till they were done on their phones before helping us check in. The door lock did not work and they could not repair and with the right amount of force it would pop open, along with the air in room not working properly woke up sweating, the door to shower didn’t close properly so floor would get wet again staff would not help with problems had to ask multiple times for towels and was told that I could only get one even tho there was two of us would not suggest staying here

    Where to start. The room was below average and the shower was really bad. No soap shelf nothing to steady yourself like a handle or bar the room smelled musky…. The pool has been out of order for months. The staff is very apologetic but this is the second time in 3 months I’ve stayed here so I could see my grandchildren and NO POOL IN THE SUMMER IN TEXAS!!!! 😡. There’s more but wow. Really bad.

    My second room the door didn’t lock. Told the front desk. Was told they would fix it and never got fixed. That room vents were also very dusty. Never had a problem before. I have been coming here for 5 years and this is the first time any of this happened in our trip.

The power exercise equipment electric supply was out and no a/c there.We were moved to a room with working a/c, but it wasn’t clean, was smaller , wasn’t cleaned during our stay, and hadn’t been maintained . One morning, no breakfast was provided at the time specified. We were among many guests waiting expectantly before leaving for our day. No apologies. Manager said that the kitchen staff didn’t show and everything was in the refrigerator. I asked about coffee and a muffin or something from the refrigerator and was told that it would be at least 30 minutes.

    Horrible stay. Our room had a broken latch on the door, hair and mold in the shower that I couldn’t use. I opened a random door in our room which led to a filthy utility room with broken equipment, someone’s old sock on the floor along with a dirty cup and broken pieces of something on the floor. The front desk employee didn’t know the manager (who wasn’t there) last name. She then offered me a refund and was told to have hotels.com call to request however when hotels.com attempted to reach them on 2 separate occasions they didn’t answer the phone nor did they respond to an email request. Do not stay here. Spend the extra $50 for a better hotel.

    The lobby area was hot and humid. The room itself was not updated like the photos. The floor was slippery as well as the shower due to the type of cleaning chemicals used. The walls could definitely be repainted and needs an electrical upgrade as not all lights worked in the room either. Staff was helpful with check in and check out. Did not eat breakfast.

    Significantly more run down than shown in the photos. Water pressure was an issue throughout the stay. Bed was uncomfortable. All I can say about breakfast, is that you get what you pay for. Would not stay again.

    I didn't stay long enough to even check out the breakfast. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms were not clean. The parking lot is not lit properly at night. Oh did I mention the 0430 wake up call by the fire alarms going off in the entire building? Condemn this hotel.

    Front clerk/staff was very nice. All carpets in the living areas are filthy. Pool/hot tub have been non-functioning for months. The first room the mini fridge was not working, the second room they tried to give us the entire room was dirty, the third room was fine besides the dead roach in the restroom and mold in the AC. We will not be returning ever, and I will make sure that I will tell all my friends and family NOT to come here.

    Front desk person left for breakfast so I had to wait 30 minutes to check in. There was a hole in the bath towel and the chocolate milk was cool to touch but was curdled and spoiled when I drank it. Your hotel was highly recommended to me. I’m sorry but if anyone asks my opinion i’m gonna share my experience.

When we arrived, the front desk staff was polite but not very helpful. We chose this hotel partly because it advertised an indoor pool, but it was closed. We went to relax in our room and discovered there was no TV remote. When I asked the front desk, I was told they tend to get stolen and that we needed to download an app to use the TV. Shortly after, our air conditioning stopped working. Considering we were in Corpus Christi and it was hot and humid, the room was very uncomfortable. When I reported it, I was told they didn’t know how to move us to another room and that we would have to wait until the manager came in the next morning. Later, there was a disturbance at the front desk. We were told a housekeeper had allegedly stolen from a guest room for the third time and that police were on the way. We were instructed to stay in our room for safety. At around 4:20 a.m., the fire alarm went off. When we went outside, we were told it was a false alarm and that this happens often. At that point, we were completely done. We decided to leave, but before that, we tried to shower and found there were no towels and no hot water. At checkout, we reported everything and were told the manager would be notified. I requested a call but never received one. I’ve also tried calling multiple times without receiving a response. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience, and unfortunately, I would not stay here again.

    The sink was clogging up in our room. The staff was unprofessional. At one point their fire alarm was set off by them and although we went downstairs to evacuate, others were calling and the front desk simply ignored all calls. Parking was fenced. Pool was out of order. Flies were seen by the breakfast area. Walls were thin and we could hear others partying. All in all, don't even give this place a chance. It’s not worth it.

    Parking was good and staff was really helpful. The room was clean, but the carpet reeked of pet urine. I as a pet owner can appreciate a pet friendly hotel. However, if I am not traveling with pets I would prefer a non pet room. Were we not absolutely exhausted we would have moved hotels.

    However, the second room had a blocked sink. We reported this issue to the front desk, but unfortunately, no one came to fix it. We were left dealing with a non-functional sink while traveling with two young children, which was extremely inconvenient. Additionally, no housekeeping service was provided the next day—beds were not made, and trash was not collected. The only positive aspect of our stay was the evening shift staff member, who was very kind and helpful. Overall, this experience was very disappointing and did not meet basic expectations.

    The fitness center and pool were closed. The only ice machine that worked was on the 4th floor. None of the laundry facilities worked. There was the same dirty green shirt and trash in the stairs for the whole 6 nights that we were there. The breakfast was mediocre. Waffles were not always available. There was lude writing and scrapes in the elevator. Water pressure sucked and the water was not really hot. Check in took quite awhile due to long line with one person working the desk. We had to have our key reprogrammed several times during our stay. We had to ask for soap, toilet paper, and towels several times.

    Air conditioning was out in the lobby. No one was at front desk at 5pm on a Saturday. Once someone came to the front desk they said there was a delay in cleaning rooms due to short staff and they would call me. No call came. Checked back later at 10pm.     Our reservation was canceled when we arrived by check in time. The hotel never called, didn’t notify us of any of the changes. I showed up to check in with three young children, one with severe special needs and we had no where to go. We live 3 hours away and booked the room a week in advance.

    Both showers had visible mold, along with soap scum buildup in the shower dish. The mini fridge in one of our rooms had so much ice buildup in the freezer compartment that the door would not close, causing water to leak onto the floor. One room had no window shade at all, leaving the room fully exposed to anyone outside — a serious privacy and safety issue. The hot water took over five minutes to get warm. The TV remote in one room did not work, and the front desk informed us they didn’t even have batteries available to fix it. The bathroom door made a horrific squeaking noise every time it was opened or closed. One bed was missing a comforter entirely. The pool and hot tub were under repair and unavailable, which was disappointing, and only one ice machine (on the fourth floor) was functioning. Most troubling was the condition of the property overall and the attitude of the staff. Front desk assistance was anything but helpful. We were told multiple times that “the owner knows about the issues” but refuses to address them. This hotel is poorly maintained and shows clear signs of neglect. The mold alone raises serious health concerns. I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere.

    The room was dirty, dresser drawer was hanging off, there was dried up food on top of the dresser, holes patched up on the walls. I just did not feel comfortable or safe. I checked in and 5 minutes later, checked out. I could not stay there. I ended up going to a different hotel for the night. A refund would be nice.

    This hotel sticks out like a sore thumb in the area, and NOT in a bad way. It is clean, classy in appearance, and that's merely the outside. The rooms are large and have ample storage space. New irons to iron clothing with, and nice hairdyers in the bathrooms. Room was spotless, the bed was insanely comfortable, and the atmosphere was just outstanding.

    Location Room was advertised as queen beds, they seemed more like full sized beds. Only ice machine working was on the 4th floor, no laundry machines in working order. Toilet was clogged when we first got into the room, maintenance forgot to come unclog it until I reminded the front desk.wasnt able to use my AARP discount.

    This place was great, great staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was an amazing hot breakfast every day, they had no problems with my pet. The place is very clean and kept up well, the only bad thing about this place is that it has no pool YET, but its winter time and I’m sure that will change by the time spring break comes around. For the price you can not beat this place I recommend this place 100% over all other properties. I don’t know if they have any kitchen units but that would be the only thing they lack if they don’t but I don’t know you have to check or call and ask if they do. I didn’t ask I just got a regular room which is huge. Not to mention the tvs all have Roku and so there’s tons of stuff to watch on tv. I highly recommend this place

    The room that I reserved a week in advance was not available and to make our stay easier we needed the handicap accessable bathroom. So we had to be given a regular room. What is the point of making a reservation if the room would not be available. Upon arrival to our room the remote was not available so the lady had to go find one from another room. The water pressure in the shower was horrible and made rinsing miserable. And not having the handicap shower was difficult. The breakfast was not ready when it was supposed to , had to wait 30 minutes and then the food was barely warm. The elevators were filthy and the carpets looked nasty. So I don't see that I will return for another stay.

    The room wasn’t clean. There was used, left over hygiene products in the shower. Thats the whole reason i chose this hotel to stay in with my granddaughter. Sink is my room i assume is clogged, it didnt drain very well. Fridge froze my water n food.

    The room was ok, but it advertised it sleeps 5 and you can ask for a roll away bed. When I get to the hotel and ask about the extra bed, they tell me it is a fire hazard. Ok, so I said well I got it cause it says it sleeps 5 and can have a roll away and the front desk woman just ignored it. Also the tv was nice but the internet wasn't good, kept buffering. The lobby and hallways were uncomfortably hot. The indoor pool looked like it could use some upgrades. Kinda looked like a horror scene and the flickering light in the corner of the pool didnt help it much.

There was no extra toilet paper a what was available was a small amount. Luckily, we were not in room majority of the time. They need better curtains to cover window.     However, the condition and cleanliness of the room were disappointing. I found other people’s belongings behind the nightstand, the phone wasn’t plugged in, and the TV was broken. The shower had visible mold, the mirrors were dirty, and there were spiderwebs in the room. Some tiles were missing, the walls had stains, the couch was ripped, and the remote was missing its battery cover. Overall, while I appreciated the comfortable bed, breakfast, and location, the room itself needs much better cleaning and maintenance.

    We traveled to Corpus Christi to go fishing for our son’s birthday. When we returned from the pier, we discovered that there was no hot water and the shower was running and would not shut off. So all night we listened to the shower running.

    Lobby seems clean and well maintained but as soon as you get to the elevators and carpeted hallways it’s downhill. Carpets are stained and the hallways smell dirty. The room did not smell clean and fresh, it smelled moldy. We realized the carpet was wet due to leaky AC unit, spread halfway through the room. The restroom was dirty: toilet had drops of blood and shower had strands of hair and dust left behind. There was a cockroach in the bathroom in the middle of the night.

    Facility was dirty, carpets were stained all throughout hotel, nothing worked, had no remote to tv and front desk couldn’t find a remote that matched my TV. When I entered my hotel room there was a hanger holding the curtains up. I was sure what was going on so I went down and front desk said she’d send maintenance a notification, which they never showed up! Ice makers brown, water filters broken, very little water pressure, no toiletries, room was hot throughout the night. Pool was dirty, looked like filter system was broken.

    Clogged sink, no hot water in shower was bad. Booked a room for three and had to go get a roll away cot ourselves from the lobby because the 1 room with a pullout sofa was “out of service.” Had to get an ice bucket from another room ourselves because ours didn’t have one. Not a working ice machine on our floor. Had a roach crawl across our table while eating our breakfast in the dining area. Will not be returning.

    There was no one cleaning the hotel. There was trash in the stairwell and on the steps as well as dead roaches. Pieces of sheetrock and plastic utensils on the floor. Carpets needed vacuuming. Fitness center had no water or towels and none of the equipment would turn on. Just blank screens. One water machine and women’s restroom stall out of order. Facility needs revamping and a lot of repairing. The elevators worked great though and the card readers were very fast.

    The smell of moisture and stains all over the ceiling of the room. There were only 2 pillows and only 2 towels. And something bites on my legs, back and arms. It was only a stay of six hours to sleep, but the window don't let me. was only a white thing on the window, and the light in the room was ridiculously bright.

    We checked in but we were given keys to an occupied room. The beds were made but we found bags in the closet. The desk clerk was notified immediately and ahe askes me to bring down the bags. There was too many so I asked her to get them. She called back only to let us know the room was occupied so we exited quickly to change rooms. This really could of been an escalated issue if we would of walked in on the guests already occupying the room. Our new room was tidy but not clean, the desk, and drawers were clearly sticky and not clean. There appeared to be black mold growing around the base of shower. I had stayed here once before and had no issues. I will not be staying at this location any time soon. The clerk issued no apology for the error. Very dissapointed in our stay.

    The staff was hospitable and polite. I really thought the front desk employees were great. However the property inside and out lacked maintenance care and it seemed like something was either broken or not working properly. One of our key cards weren’t working and tried to get it handled twice to no avail we gave up and just stuck to one key card. The outside’s trash bin was so overfilled with garbage and dog poop bags it’s no wonder the surrounding area was filled with dog poop. We arrived in the evening and the second floors air was so hot it has to be broken, the room itself was ok, the air seemed to work there but couldn’t get the A/C to cool enough get the room to the temp I would have liked. I responded to the general welcome text explaining the issues and there was no, “We’re sorry, we’ll send someone to help or try this..” it was an automatic, “Would you like to switch rooms?” My husband didn’t want to come off as a problem so we stayed throughout. It wasn’t the worst but there’s definitely room for improvement.

    At check in the girl looked like she really didn’t want to be there and not friendly at all and not even a smile she looked annoyed and the place in general looked like it’s going down hill I’ve stayed there for the past three years and it’s not the same and as always low water pressure and the do have a pet fee but I don’t know why I didn’t have a dog yet I found dog food in our room I also found a couple of roaches in the middle of the night in the restroom.

    I stayed at this hotel for my father’s funeral. Having stayed at other Wyndham hotels, I expected a much better experience. Everything was dirty or in disrepair and there were roaches in my room. I didn’t feel comfortable there but I had a non-refundable room. I won’t ever stay at a Wyndham again.

    Customer service was helpful, the downfalls, we were on the 2nd floor, exiting the elevator, the carpets are filthy, were not vacuumed, the room was clean, the shower curtain was way too short, while showering the floor was getting wet. no shelfs or a place to put soap or items in the shower, water pressure was very low. Breakfast was ok- no butter for toast, coffee was cold. eggs and sausage were good. = I lost my earring and I reported it to the front desk and it was found and returned to me. Thank you.

    The place was horrible and unsafe. The shower had mold and didn’t have any hot water. The mirror for the restroom had lighting around it but half of it was on and the other half was turned off. The carpet in the room had a lot of trash, you could tell they haven’t vacuumed the carpet in a long time. The tables had stains on them and some areas were chipped. The bed sheets were definitely not washed and the pillow smelled bad. The cleaners never went to clean the hotel room. In the restroom mirror it had a sticker saying that they will always clean the hotel rooms but that never happened. The washer and dryer for the laundry didn’t work so we had to go to a laundromat near by. There were also two cockroaches in the bathroom. The breakfast made us sick and the bagels were hard. In summary, I will NEVER stay in the hotel again.

    The accessible room I reserved was not available. I am disabled and was not notified until 5pm check in day.The room they substitute for was not very accessible. It was at the far end of the hallway. Specifically the shower was not very safe. They did provided a shower chair however the glass in the shower was very hard to move. There was also repairs happening in the hallway where I had to walk thru with my walker.

    Considering that it's part of Wyndham, this property is not kept up well. Starting with the entrance, there were faded fake/plastic flowers and the entry way rug looks worn and dirty. The carpeted areas/hallways and elevators were also dirty and unkept. Going into the room, the carpet was once again stained and worn. It's probably time to change the carpets. We got 2 jey cards, however, 1 wasn't working. My husband went to the frontdesk to get it reprogrammed. The lady gave him 2 more cards and again, 1 didn't work again. He also went to get more towels and 1 more tpilet roll. There are 2 of us but the room only had 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel and no wash cloth. There was also 1/2 a toilet roll left. When my husband went downstairs, they said they had some clean towels but no hand towels. I don't think they had enough staff to support the 4th of July weekend. The trash cans by the elevators were dirty as well. The breakfast was ok and the lady was very kind and friendly. She seems like a dedicated worker.

    The hotel was disgusting!!! Our room had dog hair in the restroom, the floors were broken, the room and hotel itself was hot. The property offered late check out for $50 which would have been 3pm but once I asked the front desk they said it would only be 12p so only an extra hour. I asked for another room but was declined.

    We reserved a 2 queen bed room paid in advance and upon arrival they were told all they had was a King with a roll away. There were two adults and three teenagers but they were exhausted and didn’t have the time to find another room. Reservations should not be taken if the room selected may not be available. The front desk clerk remained professional and polite even when tempers got a little heated over the issue .

    The place was so dirty. The lobby, the hallways etc looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a month. The shower in our room has stray hairs from previous family. The room smelled so musty. We had one towel in our rr, had to go down to ask for more. The pool was indoors which was not clearly advertised. They had no towels there either. The pool itself was so terrible. It had rust spots all over the bottom of the pool. Definitely removing this place from my list of hotels to stay at. You have been warned.

    Their were loose tiles in the bath room that were sharp that hurt to step on. I didn't have any towels for shower. They said they were out. The selections of drinks was very limited. The ice machine didn't work on the floor i was on or the next floor down. So i had to go the first floor for ice. The water pressure was a little low in the shower.

    Overall stay, it was good. Room was clean. Location wise, perfect. Downside, they need to shampoo their hallway carpet. Not bad but it needs a little help. Also, worker needs to respect that some people doesn’t wake up early. They were slamming the door since 8 am and when I finally couldn’t Stand it anymore, I got up and checked and the worker apologized and stopped slamming it.

    The grounds were unkempt trees not trimmed so you could walk under the since that’s where you had to walk your dog. Cigarette butts everywhere and they wash their mop bucket out in the parking lot and it stays until it evaporates making it a little difficult to get in and out of your vehicle Since I have stayed at this locat several times this is by far the worse

    I've given this hotel a few chances, and it isn't terrible for a budget but not the greatest. There's always something not functioning when I am there. Last time none of the exercise equipment was functional (didn't attempt this time), this time the A/C on the first floor was out and the hot tub inoperable. Also, there were about 30 people & children in the pool area who were blasting a giant loudspeaker making it impossible to enjoy the pool area.

    Stayed at the Wingate for a mini-vacation with my wife. We had stayed here before; we like trying hotels, but decided to come back to the Wingate. First, we could not check in until 3:16 PM, 16 minutes after stated check-in time. Secondly, the indoor pool is no longer heated; the hot tub no longer works. The morning shift clerk we talked to, didn't seem to care. We will not stay at the Wingate anymore. We used to refer friends to the Wingate, but we will now share the bad decline of this hotel with our friends.

    The carpet in the hallway is extremely dirty. When we got in our room a huge roach greeted us in the restroom. It looks like the carpet was not vacuumed. We try to book with hotels that have hot tubs because our daughter had knee surgery and she does some of her therapy in a hot tub but when we went to get in it wasn’t working and when I asked the front desk they were surprised that we wanted to use it. Need less to say this is the first and last time we will stay here! Also I asked for an extra towel i was given one with a big hole in it.
