Needs repairs, horrible customer service

Side door closest to my room is broke, unable to enter from parking lot. 1 staff member assured me my key would work. It did for my room, not parking lot door. Went back to front desk. Mykala, front desk person told me nothing she can do, as she was not the one that checked me in Paul did, nice guy. But he is now gone for the day, would not switch my room, and at this point I have not even stepped foot in my room. No discount, she just smiled, laughed and said yeah that door doesn't work. Its been broke awhile, and if I had asked if the door was working she would maybe have told me, wow!! Just horrible Customer service. I will not be back. And its not cheap to stay there. No repairs being done. Also some guy lives in a white van that is always parked in the back parking lot, thought that was odd. Maybe the owner.

This is normally like my go to places day, but with a span of 10 minutes I found like six roaches which is understandable this place is a perfect climate for them since it’s hot and humid so I would just be wary cause the city tends to have them, but that’s normal

a very clean and m staff very attentive, minor concern. The chair by the desk did not work, but they do not have a replacement when we had a glitch in the television Internet. They came right up and fixed it.

the room and design of the hotel is nice, clean, and modern. the small details could use some attention. i stayed in room 428 - the toilet is loose and rocks forward to backward. the door stop is popping out of the ground, and there is a big gap under the bathroom door. the breakfast had variety and there was a tesla charger. overall, pretty ideal. there’s a pool table in the lobby that people seemed to use. another amenity should be considered because it seemed like there was a line to use it.

Lovely place, and great staff. I think the DM was there checking it out and offered us the pool next door when our pool was closed! Very considerate and lovely man, we kept thanking him:) I do wish the water got boiling hot in the bathroom (my preference) but it got hot enough for regular people who don't like boiling alive! Also, we were greeted by an employee named Hilda, she was very happy and made us feel welcomed. The breakfast employee, didn’t look happy to be there, another employee definitely didn’t like her job!! No greetings from either one. Please promote Hilda!!!

When we called front desk no one ever answered. The t.v. only had 3 Chanels. Housekeeping was rude when we asked for towels.

The plants and bushes along the street are lovely but needed to be trimmed back. They obstruct the drivers vision while trying to leave the parking lot. All the employees were helpful friendly and smiling. Our room had two lights not working and the electric outlet by the bed would not work. I will definitely stay again. Thhave the

Great location. Clean rooms. Friendly service. I booked it because I wanted a decent access to the beach (furthest drive was 20 minutes away and restaurants/nightlife/shopping options. I could'nt have choosen a better spot.

The hotel staff is very friendly and always willing to solve any issues. The breakfast was a winner for my whole family! We save at least 100 bucks a day just alone on not spending $$ on breakfast! Very clean and very safe!

This was a last minute booking and they accomidated us with no complaints. Everything went smoothly and it was a great stay. Also have to add the people working in the lobby were really nice and professional.

Great place. I have stayed at Hyatt's for over 10 years but trying Tru was a great selection. Loved that they have coffee 24/7 they also offer complementary fruit during the day. Bkfst was great with different options for different appetites. Pancakes and oatmeal were delicious. Late PM coffee on 8/2 was way too light it didn't taste like coffee they probably didn't used quantities accordingly. Ck agent with 2 different color eyes was great, however I would change the ck in speech about insidentals from " in case something is broken or stolen" to "in case something is broken or missing" because it makes you feel uncomfortable. Other than that they offered a great attentive service.

I don’t understand why we’re paying this much per night if we’re not even getting basic service. On top of that, our car was damaged overnight in the parking lot. Although we noticed there are security cameras, the front desk informed us that some of them are actually fake. This was our first visit to Corpus Christi with our kids, and sadly, the hotel service left us with a bad impression.

Good for a quick trip, but had a few flaws.

I went recently with my daughters the first night was great and they loved it. 2nd day the power went out in the hotel. We spent the day out & sight seeing so we wanted to watch Netflix and chill the rest of the night. The internet wasn’t working in our room for the tv. I asked the front desk lady if she knew when it would be on again and she stated some rooms worked and some didn’t. So we were bored the 2nd night and my kids were disappointed. I felt customer service could have been better. I use to work in the industry I would have offered a few dollars off for the inconvenience or switched to a room that has a working tv or something. Everytime I had a question the seemed annoyed to answer and i wasn’t rude at all. Or did I throw a fit, I don’t like confrontation but for me to ask for help or updates they made it uncomfortable for me. Other than that my girls loved the stay and the vibe the hotel gave off as long as they had fun is what matters.

We took our family for a little trip. The service was amazing, most everyone was super nice and helpful! The pool was being refinished so the hotel made arangements with the neighboring hotel to let us use theirs. Breakfast was delicious and clean and well stocked. The room did not have a microwave but it does have a small fridge. My family enjoyed the use of the pool table in the lobby each day of our stay. The complementary coffee or tea in the lobby 24/7 was also a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again!

I checked-in at the front desk. The receptionist made me feel like my card was declined and told me to swipe my card again only to see that there was a $25 charge for the snack bar. It was so confusing. I thought my card didn’t go through but it did and was never told there was a $25 separate charge with no option of declining the offer. I utilized the snack bar at night. The 3rd floor was super loud. Each door slams shut unless you hold it to close shut. We can hear each room entering or exiting their rooms. It was that loud. The highest noise didn’t help either. Swimming pool was inaccessible. Restrooms have rust all over the hinges. Breakfast was okay. Main things I’m was the loudness and being tricked into using the snack bar. That was unprofessional!

Good location, clean hotel! Good staff! Only one of two elevators was operational. I was here three weeks ago when the 2nd elevator broke. It was still not in service during my two day stay this time. Four Floors one elevator was a nightmare. We used the stairs to 4th floor most of the time.

The carpet in the halls were filthy. We allowed my 2 yr grandson to go barefoot in the room, his feet were black from the filth. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom and in the bedroom. Areas needed caulked. Lamp cord broken. Broken night table plug ins. Room had no Keurig or even an ice bucket. I'll never stay at another Tru Hilton again!

My expectations were high because of the Hilton name. It was good enough to spend the night and sleep comfortably.

The staff were excellent! The room was nice and clean! The bathroom needed caulking around some areas and bathroom ceiling needed attention. Possible water leaks in ceiling from the roof.

When I checked in, I noticed a child had drawn on the walls. The floors all looked...damp. I used a towel to dry them and the white towel was BLACK. There were bugs flying around so I called customer service. To top it off, there was a sewage smell while the shower water ran.

So the trip was good the first night cuz we got there in the dark so we didn’t see the room fully. When we woke up I notice big yellowish orange spots on the bed. Some of the sheets have red stains. So took those off the bed and slept with a sheet only. The tv kept turning off randomly when I was watching it. One of the towels even had a brown spot on it. Good there there was others. The send day when we woke up we notice a small bug crawling on me. Well when I killed it there was blood from it when I looked it up I found out it was a bed bug!!! So I jumped up and took the covers off and mattress cover and come to my surprise we found 5 more! Then when I called the manager one said “that she is not saying we brought them in but the other bed would have them” as they checked they found one and took a picture and then she asked what we wanted to do!! The other lady said we had to close 3 rooms the other day cuz of this situation! We packed up in trash bags and went straight to a laundry mat to wash our cloths and hopefully not bring them home. Never had a problem with this hotel before so I thought I could trust this hotel I guess I was wrong and still haven’t heard anything back from them!

The bed was so comfortable. The breakfast could use an improvement. Overall, I would stay again.

I stayed at this property once. The room was a little too small and the shower was dirty. However, the staff working were amazing and friendly. The breakfast was great.

Everything is nice , but when I asked for room service they never went to do it, they just said they would do it when I would step out

Stay was okay. We had issues with our AC the 2nd night, but the front desk took care of it right away. The walls were a bit chipped and sheets had some stains. Even our shower was a bit stained.

We enjoyed the satay as the TRU hotel was our first time stay. Thank you for having us.

Good hotel. Just dont stay if planning to eat breakfast. Not the best. Very quiet. Front desk not very attnitive.

The towels in the bathroom were folded nicely but 2 of them had a stain and were wet and smelled awful.

Loved the amenities abd enviroment.

The bathroom sink had only a small stream of water that came out. The toilet clogged easily. I spilled some water on the floor accidentally and when I wiped it up, the paper towel was very dirty. I had been in hotel less than one hour. The AC was good and cold. TV size good. My wife liked it.
