Holiday Inn Express and Suites Corpus Christi North by IHG

Our first night there the A/C wasn't working. They fixed the unit but I wasn't approved for a discount on that initial first night. The staff was phenomenal on making the stay comfortable after that. Everything was clean and well attained. They even had a list for attractions.

We asked for advice on places to go since it was our first time ever in corpus and they had plenty to give.

Disappointing

The pool was the best. Just the right temperature for jumping straight in. There is a bathroom & shower in the pool area which made it very convenient. Breakfast was hot, with a variety to choose from. The hotel itself is right off the highway, with a Denny’s & convenience store next door. We will definitely stay here wherever we are in Corpus Christi. Thank you.

The atmosphere inside & outside the hotel was great & we felt safe. The staff was friendly & advised us if we needed anything to please let them know. I especially liked the location of the property. I have nothing negative to point out.

The room was super clean the breakfast was awesome kind of sad that the waffle maker was broken but it's okay Saturday morning there was biscuits and gravy on the buffet and on Sunday scrambled eggs and bacon it was awesome the food was wonderful the service was great the stuff is friendly it was just an overall perfect experience thank you all for your hard work and making our time in your establishment so wonderful 😊😊😊

Overall, it was a good stay. Although the pool was out of commission and one of the rooms didnt have a blow dryer.

Stayed for one night with my kiddos.. ages 19-7. Definitely met expectations, staff was friendly. Check in was super quick and easy… I booked the 2 bed suite w/additional living space.. and it was super spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was amazing! They literally had a little bit of everything. Would definitely stay here again!!

We got there elevator wasn’t working we had to carry our luggage all the way to the 3rd floor. Just that was a huge disappointment. Morning breakfast wasn’t as I expected will never choose that place again.

Staff was great, especially Jordan, he was very professional and helpful. The hotel was clean, it could use a little TLC as you can start seeing some issues due to aging. Card keys wouldn’t work at first so staff had to come reprogram the door but when talking to a different staff member, apparently this is something that happens a lot there. The outside of the hotel was a bit overgrown with grass. Again, with the doors and the cosmetic aging being seen, maybe the grass is another part of that TLC that could be taken to spruce up the environment. Nothing The staff was ok they weren’t rude but they could be a little more professional and not vape at the front of the hotel. And when I told them my room was filthy it was to no surprise to her. She offered another room and the room was also disgusting dirty and smelled like gas or mold it smelled horrible. I ah e picture of the dirty tub and shower curtain full of hair and dirt.

Room seemed to be under construction with loose floor tiles in the bathroom and painting swatches on the walls. Had complimentary toiletries available.

Super nice staff! Lobby was nice Hotel room had a hole in bathroom door, tile coming off the baseboards and the window screen wouldn’t close. Breakfast wasn’t that good.

Clean friendly staff , cold ac and comfortable beds I didn’t like the pool was out of order and on the website it says check out is at 12 and it’s actually 11. But the cleaning lady gave us time to finish packing our things

The entire room was so damp. The sheets were damp no matter if we turned the air up or down. It was pretty miserable

Only negatives were other people's very small children playing on gym equipment without supervision, and the breakfasts were not prepared for the amount of guests I suppose. Items ran out quickly. Staff did their best to accommodate, by putting out extra fruits and cereals. Rooms were clean and wonderfully cold. Clean and check in was swift.

Overall not a bad experience. I had reserved two roomss and they were close together. The fridge in our room didn't work. The ice machines on at least 2 of the 4 floors didn't work. Our room had a pull out sofa but no bedding was stocked in the room. The breakfast was pretty good. Staff was very friendly and helpful when we had questions. Clean.

Overall everything was good. The breakfast was good and had different options. The beds were comfortable. They have free parking and free WiFi. It was a good options for what we were doing. The only thing I didn’t like was that I got a package with Expedia. I rented the hotel and car, but the rental place charged me insurance which I had already purchased with my rental agreement with Expedia.

The hotel is alright. It does seem old, but still decent. Pool was clean, room was clean, walls are thin so maybe not the best place for light sleepers. It worked out for my family of 4. Staff was nice, would stay again

BUT WORSE, we were not able to REST our first night. We were in the room right on top of the MAIN DOOR which was NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY, making a very LOUD NOISE AND VIBRATION when cosed&open. The noise didn’t allow us to sleep! We had to wait until next day to talk to the manager. The main door is still cracking and vibrating loudly when we left the hotel… no repair in sight. Besides the person in charge before 12 midnight WAS RUDE! He sent a MESSAGE FOR EXPEDIA: “GO AND COMPLAIN TO EXPEDIA ONCE YOU CHECK OUT”.

Checking in was not so good when I tried to pay with cash and they wouldn't take it. On check out I received a email stating that check out was at 12 pm and 11:15 am the knocked on my door saying since I was late on the checkout they was going to charge me another night and I said no. Overall the stay was good! Only complaint I have is for it being a busy holiday weekend they were short on staff. The breakfast was not stocked very well. The guy that was working the breakfast area made the comment he came from the next door hotel to help. If it wasn’t for him not sure breakfast would have been served.

Please update the characteristics of the hotel. This hotel is not pet friendly when I reserved online. It stated pet friendly hotel when I arrive yesterday. Front desk did not allow me to stay in hotel with my service animal even if I have proper documentation, this is against the law, even though I provided ID card for them, they still would not let me check into hotel.

The bed had a bad smell. When I asked for new beddings, they only changes the sheets. I had to take all sheets, pillowcases, and bed fittings to have them replace everything. Key cards would not work. Had to get them replaced every time I would leave and return until they replaced the door scanner. Sorry but I will not stay there again.

We got checked in and went to check out our room first. We were staying in a double queen suite. It was not impressive. I guess your standard hotel suite. We went downstairs to get our belongings and as we walked through the lobby it smelt. The front desk woman must have changed her son’s diaper. Again ummm ok. We got our stuff from our car and went back to the room. We later came down that evening for dinner and we had to dodge the kid toys to get out. I received an email to rate the check in and I did. The following night we went to a concert and got in late. Tell me why the front desk woman called our room after 11 at night to argue about my review of our check in?! That was very inappropriate of the staff member and the manager should have called me regarding my review. I know our room wasn’t vacuumed because I found 2 pills in different places in the room. The beds were also uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel.

Totally satisfied with the stay and staff. No negatives at this time.

Location was perfect, check in was fast and easy, room was welcoming and appeared to be clean however missing a shower curtain had to request from front desk, also found a pile of dirty mens clothes in the closet. Stay was quiet and served its purpose. The breakfast was the usual traditional hotel selection yogurt, fruit, muffins, eggs, bacon. Staff was friendly.

The elevator needs maintenance on the floor and the elevator itself, at times it jerked once inside, the rooms are nice, they should provide a tv menu so we can see all channels provided. The shower had some rust in it but clean, I like the storage space. The shower itself needs to be worked on because now a lot of pressure when taking a shower felt like a very light rain shower. Glad they provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion. Our refrigerator was wonky and a little loud. Other than that the stay was good. Complimentary breakfast was so good!

There was really only 2 small complaints. 1 AC seamed to not get as cold we would wke up sweating. 2 we didn't like the lock on the door didn't seem it locked properly we slid the chair n front of it as well as reinforced the lock. Not that it seamed a bad area but cant ever be safe enough. Ty for having us we will choose u again when we co.e back

The Elevator was pretty scary as it has sudden jumps while you were entering/exiting. Also has some loose tile floors.

No towels in 1 of our rooms and the second room had a roach crawling on the headboard. Never did get towels brought up to the room.

Our room’s air conditioning was terrible! I had it on 60 and couldn’t get the room cool. It was barely blowing. Asked for maintenance that we never received. The bathroom sink barely had water coming out and wouldn’t hardly drain. There was something that was supposed to be hanging on the wall that was just sitting on the floor. I paid way too much money for the condition of the room.

Older area, the elevator felt unsafe to use. The room felt muggy. The breakfast and staff were great.

Staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was a great one from making sure the breakfast area was clean and stocked to providing suggestions for a fantastic restaurant for dinner
