Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Corpus Christi Central

I had been given an occupied room, and after they changed it, the new room had the AC broken, the door lock wasn’t working properly, and most of the restroom supplies were empty. Overall terrible experience. Highly disappointed

The bed was incredibly comfortable and the facilities were overall clean. However, we woke up the first morning to find that the ceiling was covered in either mold or mildew or something. We alerted the man at the front desk in the mornings, and he was largely unhelpful and a bit snippy, telling us that the manager wouldn't be there for days and that we could move rooms, but he didn't know if one would be available. We declined since we were only staying a couple nights. I think they cleaned our room while we were out for the day because there was a spray bottle of liquid left in the room and the ceiling looked better. The cleaning crew did not replace the towels left on the floor, however. There was also no do not disturb sign in our room. The man at the front desk in the evenings was incredibly nice and helpful, the best part of the stay along with the big comfortable bed. The bathroom door did not close all the way, like it was stuck from the foundation shifting, though we were on the third floor. The breakfast was honestly subpar compared to similar hotels, but edible and sanitary. Overall, we were a bit disappointed because we had a good image of Marriott hotels before this. It wasn't awful, but we were barely at the hotel anyhow.

Clean room, nice staff. Very close to the airport. Looks like a nice gym and pool. It's great for a short stay. If you're vacationing you might want to be closer to the Gulf.

I didn’t expect such a poor quality from Marriott hotels.. There was a very bad odor smell in the room and I identified it was coming from the fridge. When I reported this concern with the front desk, he was not helpful. The only option he gave me was to change the room.. it was already late in the night and changing rooms for me was not an option. The entire stay in this hotel was uncomfortable due to bad smell.. I requested the manager to check the fridge and clean it before next guest checks in..

This hotel is very nice and clean. The breakfast was fully stocked and delicious. Angela and Juan were both so very friendly. Made my husband and I feel very welcomed.

When booking at this location, please make sure to buy the insurance coverage. I booked a stay for Memorial weekend. Friday to Monday. I was there for related work purposes and wanted to take Sunday to enjoy my stay. When I woke up Saturday morning, I was feeling extremely under the weather. I called in early Saturday morning to see if I could get an early check out. Hotel.com made the request for me but when I reached the front desk early Sunday morning, the man covering said the manager was out and not returning until Tuesday but he seriously doubted I would get my money back for the night and he didn't say it in a nice way if you know what I mean. Needless to say, I never received a response from the manager as he said he would let her know. I was also charged for the remaining day and I am back at home still feeling miserable with the flu. What luck!!

Didn’t like the leaf shade. Visually disruptive in a very otherwise calm aesthetic. Staff was exceptional. Water pressure and cleanliness were wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay. Took advantage of the exercise room. Good selection for the complimentary breakfast, i.e. waffles, eggs, yogurt, granola, etc. Would stay there again.

Didn’t use pool. Staff wasn’t overly helpful or friendly when we asked for help with tv. Bed mattress had bad slump in the side closest to door where if single person stayed in room they’d sleep in that side and cause over use divet in mattress. Pillows were not comfortable.

Room 201 needs to be maintained and thoroughly cleaned. If I can attach photos, I will. Bathroom needs new wall paper. Needs new toilet paper holder. Shower molding needs to be fixed. Shower needs to be caulked. Fixtures need to be dusted. Telephone was covered in dust. Doors and walls need to be wiped down. Mattress needs to be replaced. Not to Marriott standards.

The location was just ok and not too far from downtown The toilets are all rusty and old and so are the showers. The guy when we checked in was told the toilet looks not clean and dirty and he didn't seem like he wanted to be bothered and moved us to a room next door but was even worst. The room did not look clean at all. The toilets need to be replaced with all the rust and so do showers. I felt the guy at check in could have done a little better to make us feel better about our stay but didn't seem to care.

This is probably one of the better hotels in Corpus Christi. I tried 2 other hotels before this and they both smelled of mold and damp. This one is different. It smelled clean, the staff was friendly, and the free breakfast is actually good! My only negative was that the gym smelled bad, like it needed better ventilation, and there was a bit of rust in the shower from the assistive bar. But this hotel is overall much better than the others I’ve read about and seen myself in Corpus. It will be our go-to place for the future. The gym had a smell and the bathroom had just a little bit of rust in the shower from the assistive bar. But the place is nice in comparison to some of the other hotels.

I love everything about this hotel! It’s one of the best in Corpus Cristi. I always stay in this hotel when I have a vacation . It’s clean, the beds are super comfy, the breakfast is delicious and has many options. Highly recommended! The ice maker machine was not working.

There were shockingly loud frogs in the grassy area near hotel. I could hear them in my room on the fourth floor. Most likely seasonal. Front desk was very nice about it. But I had to get ear plugs to sleep.

Front desk was very helpful and friendly with knowledge of area. Breakfast had many choices with hot and cold food. The area was kept clean and well stocked. Hotel is older and well maintained. We found it quiet with very comfortable beds.

Lobby is nice, as is breakfast but room was in tough shape. Beds uncomfortable and two pillows dirty. The tub/shower diverter didn't work so the tub filled with water as we showered.

This hotel is very clean and safe inside and outside. Also very easy to go to off the highway. A lot of dining options. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. I will stay again when I’m in town.

The door handle was tough to open and close and carpet under door was ripped. The room phone was really filthy. When I complained at the front desk and said I was going to report it to corporate he said it didn’t matter because it’s franchised. Breakfast was horrible. They also didn’t have any toothpaste or brushes. I paid over $200 for one night to stay in the filth. I will never stay here again, they ruined my whole trip!

The lobby was cozy with beautiful decorations. However, the room I had was not very clean. There was some dirt on the bed sheets, but the staff helped me to prepare new ones. And the toilet was not flushed when I first came in, so I'm not sure sure if the room was cleaned carefully. But overall, the service was very nice

This is my second time staying Corpus for work. My first time staying at this hotel and it was super clean, rooms are spacious, the breakfast has a lot of options, and the staff is great the fitness center has newer equipment and it was clean as well.

The hotel location is perfect, close to airport and other local restaurants. Easy to get the parking lot. I only have 1 complaints it’s the smell when you come in. It’s like mildew? Not sure . But the smell was not pleasant

There was no full body mirror/or any mirror in the bedroom which made it hard to get ready to go in the mornings. The bathroom was not great. The doorway to the bathroom looked like there was a coffee stain on the wall. In the bathroom, some of the towels had yellow spots on them, and the shower was in bad shape. The shower had many spots of black mold, the shaving bar was completely broken off with leftover caulking still there. The shower temperature/pressure handle was broken too and the water pressure was very poor.(the worst and most complained about part of the stay)

Paid for a room with 1 king bed was given a dirty room with 2 queen beds. After letting the attendant know she was really rude and told us she had business men who needed the room so she couldn’t do anything about it since they had no other rooms available.

We always bring blankets from to use at hotels only this time I was extra cold and decided to sleep under hotel cover was up all night itching and didn’t know why I the morning when I turned on the lights i noticed my sheets had not been changed there was so much dirt and hair under the blankets. So I called front to desk to have someone check and they did nothing . I will not be back !

Our entire stay was absolutely amazing . The rooms were clean and just like the site said . Bed was super comfortable . The front desk people were super friendly and breakfast was amazing . They have a little of everything however I do advise you get in early as things run out fast .

Got accused of having a dog in my room when I didn't even have a pet with me and was charged a pet cleaning fee. Angela has poor customer service and is not observant as she should be knowing she's at the front desk.

They Made it Right! We stayed for three nights while visiting friends. The first room we were given was clean, but in bad shape physically (peeling wallpaper, etc.). We decided to ask (nicely) for a different room and the staff was prompt and friendly and moved us to another, beautiful room. The rest of our stay was very comfortable. We really appreciated that the staff didn't give us attitude and really wanted to make it right.

Attempted to check-in according to the 24 hour in advance email but no rooms were available. Returned after several hours but staff seemed unclear about the room that we booked. Felt uncomfortable about the room's location and area and checked out of the hotel after approximately five minutes.

The room had popcorn on the ground and old room key cards from the previous people so seeing that made me feel like the room wasn’t the cleanest. There was also a decent amount of rust in the bathroom, there was quite a bit on the door frame. The staff was super nice here!
