I loved it and the staff I loved how the manager in the bar area was helping his staff clean up. I loved it here and being close to the beach made it worth it. This will be my favorite place to stay next time and in the future

it was underwhelming for the price charging extra for parking then the room service was down and you needed a pass for breakfast. then the front door and elevators malfuctioned

Wonderful place to stay. Parking was kind of tight and you do pay $10 to park and they hold $50 for deposit which was no biggie. Biggest issue breakfast buffet cost $16 and that was kind of steap. Never paid for hotel breakfast. I'd much rather have the option to spend more money for the jet skis and other attractions that were a plus for me.

The staff was great, the view was great Pay for parking??? Was comp'd, but had to ask. Had a luggage cart went to the 3rd floor and had to pull the luggage up 5 steps then go all the way to the end of the hall without the luggage rack??? It's an older hotel, so the rooms are getting a bit ruin down. No amenities to speak of.

There was a “weird” smell in the rooms along with no fan in the bathroom.

Great view from room, staff was friendly and the location was a walkable distance from alot attractions. The blankets were gross underneath you could see spots where dirt had built up they definitely shouldn't have been reused. The TV had gone out after 1 night and had to be fixed. The shower door also wouldn't close all the way. The parking was almost all full when we arrived so it was difficult to find a spot.

However with all of the “bad” out of the way, the cleaning staff was amazing and always smiling & saying have a great day. It is a short walk to the USS Lexington and the aquarium. Overall, no place is perfect and it wouldn't prevent me from going back.

Water pressure was horrible, water kept going on/off during our one shower we took while we were there.

Staff was kind and friendly. The beach was great to lay on, a little rough for swimming but they had a nice outdoor pool. Great views. We got to see a large ship coming into harbor in the evening with was awesome. If we ever come back to Texas I would stay here again.

This hotel is more like a home, wether you stay a night or several nights, it very home like. My family always has a blast, especially eating the cookies they give you at check in.

Hotel was nice and close to the beach. The restaurant in the hotel was wonderful. The Neighbourhood wasn’t the best and there wasn’t a lot around.

Great location right next to the USS Lexington. Since it is the main attraction in Corpus Christi, no location can be better. The facilities are very decent. The beach alis right there, outside the back doors, super convenient. The pool area is good. Considering the price, it is good value for money. Great, but also nothing too over the top. Some loud people might party at night outside, nothing you can do about it. Not ideal for people with little children. But if you are one of the party people then all is cool.

The area is a little rough, homeless people sleeping many run down buildings and restraunts. This Hilton is the only nice thing around. The area, its run down.

Right from the beginning of check-in, everything was great! Kris, the manager, was really nice. They even give you warm cookies upon check-in. Our room was on the side of the building facing the USS Lexington. We still had a great view of the bay. The room was very clean. My only "complaint" isn't really a complaint. The water pressure was good most of the time. There were times that it wasn't great but it really wasn't a problem. We did utilize the hot tub and it was super hot. We loved it. We will definitely stay here again!

I had the best room and best view as far as I'm concerned room 729 looked over EVERYTHING! I worked Hyatt Hill country in San Antonio and am kinda a clean freak so the most disturbing thing for me an tried my best to over look was the dirt n hair not mine still laying around the bathroom floor corners and under the drapes was dirt dust n hair outside was a Gatorade bottle that someone spit tobacco in of sorts. I asked for the vacuum up front n did it myself

They had quick, functional elevators. Parking was not a problem, although there's like an $11 daily parking fee. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, and there are other external options downtown and along 358 (S Padre Island Dr). What can be improved: Carpet shampoo probably needed, spray some air sanitizer before next guest arrives, offer a safe for valuables, and place bathroom caddies if we prefer to use our own toiletries. We plan to return to the property soon since we had an awesome experience overall.

It’s near the beach which is what we wanted Our AC went out it was 80 degrees in our room for a few hours while it was fixed and they brought us fans we got no credit for having these issues which I felt would a been a valid reason to get a partial credit on what we paid. Starbucks was never opened it said go to the bar to order but no one would ever be there front desk told me to go to the bar and literally sat there like 15 min and no one showed. Before leaving one of the main people did comp us a free Starbucks drink for that issue but nothing was done regarding the room aside from the front desk saying oh ya we heard about that last night…

The hotel is older, so keep your expectations realistic. That said, the room was very clean and well maintained. The elevator, however, could use a deeper cleaning. A beach-view room is definitely worth the extra cost. The room also included a coffee maker with very good coffee, along with a refrigerator and microwave, which are especially helpful for a longer stay. The food at Eighteen 18 Eat + Drink was great, although the drinks were a bit pricey. There is easy access to the beach, and I appreciated that guests must use their room key to re-enter the hotel from the beach side. It adds an extra layer of security. There are a few restaurants within walking distance of the hotel (not fast food). In addition, USS Wisconsin, a World War II-era Essex-class carrier museum, is just a stone’s throw away. Overall, it was a great visit!

Tuve una experiencia muy agradable en este hotel. La habitación estaba limpia, cómoda y con una vista hermosa, perfecta para relajarse y disfrutar la estancia. El personal fue muy amable y atento en todo momento, siempre dispuesto a ayudar con una excelente actitud. Las áreas del hotel estaban bien cuidadas y el ambiente fue tranquilo y acogedor. Sin duda fue una estancia muy bonita y volvería nuevamente. Lo recomiendo para quienes quieran descansar y pasar unos días especiales frente al mar.

Absolutely phenomenal service. The front desk was responsive, polite and helpful. When I return to Corpus Christi i will be returning. And a special shoutout to the GM for the help.

I only have one complaint and it’s about the restroom door it kept coming off the track and was to hard to open and close and at one point it even fell off entirely. I told the manager about it and they said they fixed it but when I went back to the room the door was still hard to open and close. Also there was no knob on the inside to open it so it was complicated

The bad and the staff was amazing. We enjoyed the room. I didn't like the fact that a lot of locals went and did the pool. They need to have better security. The beach view was amazing!

I was a little disappointed because the description said that it was on the beach, but it was really on the bay. The sand was horrible. It had very sharp pieces of shell and they did not provide chairs or awnings. They had to be rented. Also, while my husband was getting ready to take a shower, the vent cover fell on top of his head and we were not offered any compensation.

The hot tub was cold and low of water, the first room we were in the shower the water barely came out of the shower head, and the carpet floors need a good deep clean throughout the entire hotel..the hotel is dated and needs a good remodel. It does have perks of being right on a small beach of sand and next to good bars and restaurants and being close to attractions. The staff were excellent and good food at the restaurant in the hotel.. nice to have starbucks there too.

Everything. The location was great, right off the beach with an amazing view of the ocean If I had to nitpick, I guess the parking. It’s $10 per day and the spaces are pretty tight if you have a larger vehicle

The barn doors on the bathroom are way too heavy. I could barely open them up. Also we checked in on Thursday and we didn't have a TV the whole time we were there. Maintenance came by to look at it couldn't get it fixed was supposed to send someone else never saw no one else.

Was a great hotel on the beach. Views are wonderful from the balcony. Will use this hotel again next time I am in Corpus Christi. Only about 10 minutes from the central hub of South Padre Island Drive for more restaraunt varieties and normal shopping. The hotel has a surf shop located directly beside it, a pub grill directly in front of it and a seafood 3 story restarunt a few places down from it, as well as the battleship museum and Texas aquarium. Recommend if you want beach side without the condo prices. Clean rooms with an upscale hotel feel.

The receptionist was very kind. The entire room was very damp. The carpet was wet to my feet and wet carpet lint was sticking to my feet and shoes. The wooden/vinyl panel flooring was also wet and i had to be careful not to slip. Fortunately, the bed sheets and pillows were dry. I was worried that if the carpet is constantly wet, maybe I had to be concerned about mold under the carpet.

Spent the weekend with our young kids. Amazing view of the bay (amazing sunrise view) and we could hear the sound of the waves despite being on the 5th floor which was quite soothing. The room was small with a balcony but was quite comfortable. The cookies provided at check-in were delicious. Breakfast is paid (we paid for one day and it was alright) and we had to pay about $27 for two days of parking. The best part is that the beach is right outside the hotel and the USS lexington museum is 5 minutes away by walk. Restaurants are about 10 minutes away in Portland. Indian Pointe Park had amazing sunset views and it was about 10 minutes away too. Overall great stay and we are glad we chose to stay at Double Tree.

The staff were very helpful and were kind, but the room was a bit dirty and the bed was very uncomfortable. Plus the handle on the shower was not attached so it immediately fell off when we tried to turn the shower on! The view was good.

So I booked the ocean view but they made us wait a while day to move there and initially put us in a standard. Also very racist. No complimentary cookies or even smile for us but was super nice to people if this country. Breakfast says free . But it's not.

10/10 We enjoyed our time the staff was so helpful and it was the perfect spot to enjoy the outdoor pool and the views of the beach.

Should have chosen a room with a view of the beach since the construction was loud and not the best thing to look at while on the balcony but other than that the room was amazing. Definitely needs a new shower head the water pressure coming out wasn’t the best but over all I have no complaints. Rooms, hallways, elevator and downstairs were very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay there again.

The Staff and manager at the time were great, with the exception of one desk clerk ! I had arrived an hour early and asked about the possibilty of an eary check in. She said she would look into it, when i asked again 30 minutes later she said her radio was off the whole time ! No apology and more negative attitude. Otherwise the young man that was manager was outstanding !

The breakfast option was not free. They have a restaurant that offers breakfast. We did enjoy dinner at the rest and found it to be excellent. Our stay was enjoyable. The hot tub was hot and bubbly. The Hilton cookies were delicious. Our stay went well. I would stay here again.

We had a bayview room,booked last minute,we were not disappointed. From Rachel,Demetrius,Kris and everyone at front desk, housekeeping,maintenance, the morning staff at breakfast to the pool area bartender were amazing. The pool area was very clean as was the hotel. I appreciate ypu all and definitely will be revisiting!!!!

The biggest plus for us was the location and access to the beach. With a toddler, being able to easily go back and forth between the room, the pool, and the beach made things so much more convenient. Definitely worth it for the location and easy beach access. We’d stay here again.

Stayed in Corpus and had an amazing experience at this hotel! The staff was incredible and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and very nice. One of the best parts was the location the bay, the aquarium, the Navy ship, plus several restaurants and bars are all within walking distance. It made exploring so easy and enjoyable. We had such a great stay that we’re already planning to book again for the summer. Highly recommend!

This doesn’t happen when a shower is cleaned regularly and thoroughly. For the price, I’d expect a free continental breakfast and not $17+ per person once you factor in the tip (well deserved tip nonetheless). Otherwise, the food was warm (fresh) and tasty. Access to the beach is a few steps away. Would’ve loved for the two outdoor showers to be working but they weren’t.

This is a hotel that has been and continues to be remodeled. It is a very nice option on the beach and in my opinion, nicer than the downtown hotels. I visited in the off season so keep in mind that I think it can get very busy and very loud during major spring and summer holidays.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Grace and another gentleman I forgot his name (sorry!) they were extremely helpful and polite! We were placed in the most amazing room with a gorgeous view! Great hotel! Clean, staff was chill. Only negative is the pay for parking and not enough spots. I paid for parking went out and came back to no spots available. So I paid and didn’t even have a place to park. had to wait for someone to leave and shark their spot. AND the parking lot flooded after the rain.

The hotel is out dated. When i checked in they had a two person band that was really loud and you couldn’t hear the desk clerk. Asked for a beach view got a side hotel somewhat beach view. The lady at the bar was awesome. The downside there is a third party that owns the parking lot so you have to scan a bar code to pay for parking. Should be free for guests.

The room was very clean. The view from our balcony was excellent with a perfect view of the sunrise and beach. The restaurant downstairs was excellent but we thought the live music was a bit too loud. We couldn't hear what the person was saying behind the front desk. The staff was very nice and polite. We really enjoyed our stay.

Spent the weekend here for my birthday and it was amazing, had a blast!!!

When I checked in the lady didn’t know what she was doing. Took her a while to get everything done. Then they charge you for parking when it didn’t say anything about that. The room wasn’t very clean. Hair in the bathroom. Shower wasn’t very clean. The bed isn’t comfortable at all. Overall the place isn’t very clean.

It was ok. The beach seemed dirty behind the property. It was uncomfortable to walk on barefoot.

Parking fees at hotel were ridiculous and we were not able to enjoy the beach because of all the jellyfish. Thankfully hotel had a pool to enjoy and is close to the aquarium. Room was fairly clean but we will not be coming back to this hotel.

Overall it was a decent place. The pool/bar area was a vibe! The restaurant had live music which was cool! We had a bug in our room but it wasn’t infested that’s why we gave cleanliness a 3. It was right on the beach like we wanted I wish we would’ve paid the extra for a higher floor we had fl 4 which has a roof right outside our balcony

The front desk lady refused to check the lost and found for my son’s favorite stuffed animal that I thought he had dropped and the beach is harsh painful scratchy sand and we had to drive 20 minutes to get to a nicer one so the beachfront thing wasn’t really a selling point. Won’t be staying again

Some of the staff need a customer service training. I arrived to the hotel Around 4:15, check in time being at 4pm, the room was not ready and was given an estimated time of 5 minutes and asked if that was okay. I mean what else was I supposed to do and this gentleman replied well it can be an hour and 5 mins wait (not sure why he was being rude). I then asked about parking since it was very packed, and I received a sarcastic remark from the gentleman (Christopher). Not sure was was wrong with this individual. I go back to see if my room is ready, it's been over the 5 mins and nothing yet. I never got an I'm sorry for the inconvenience until the THIRD time I inquired about my room. It was a disappointing experience. The beach view was nice and the location was great but definitely needs improvement with customer service.

This property was advertised as walkable, it’s in a more industrial location about 15 minutes away from town. It also advertises free breakfast but we were told we didn’t qualify unless we got tickets when we checked-in. The air conditioner could not keep up and the room was HOT. Upon checkin the desk staff was watching football and barely gave us the time of day. There is also a daily parking fee and the parking lot was packed. The only upside to this stay was the restaurant staff was incredible.

Have stayed there before and have never had an issue, except for this time. Spent the day at the pool, which was great until some kids who were not staying at the hotel got in and started being disrespectful. Notified staff anx the kids did leave. Went up to room 501 and AC was not working well. It never got the room cold. Glad I took my fan. I only stayed one night so there was no sense changing rooms at that time of night. I would still recommend stayin here. Staff is great and the rooms are spacious....plus your right on the beach.

Thought I got a premium room on the highest floor but I guess high floor means above 4 wouldn’t recommend if not going to the beach room was an average room paid to much I could payed the same somewhere else and got breakfast and a better over all experience not horrible but not worth it

The hotel itself is old but serviceable. I don't like being mislead and taken advantage of, though. I'll stay at the Omni next time for the Corpus bay.

The photos online are very deceiving it is not a white sandy beach it is very Rocky and water is nasty. It is not blue! The area the hotel is in its run down and the parking is terrible and you have to pay 10 bucks a day, however they did comp our parking fees. There is a serious issue with homelessness in this area. The staff there was very friendly and did make our stay much easier, however we stayed away from our hotel every day and went to other beaches because North Beach is NOT THE ONE!

The bed was comfortable though. It was also nice to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The staff was nice enough. Parking is horrible though. Paid through a 3rd party and you're competing for parking with beach goers/non-guests of the hotel. I'd probably stay again but maybe in the off season.

Check in was great, when we got to our room, it smelled like cat pee all in the room. The extra lock on the door was broken and we paid for full bay room but a lot of our view was blocked by the lower level awing.

I liked that the staff, especially Chris was so nice and accommodating. The on site restaurant was affordable and a very friendly, hardworking waitress who treated everyone like friends. Even the housekeeping staff was friendly. There are literally steps from the hotel to the bay. The hotel lights up the beach enough whereby many guests enjoy evenings and nights. The hotel is esdy walking distance to the Lexington and Aquarium. The only thing we had trouble was with a noisy family in the room next to us. It was 1:30 am and I had to call the desk and they promptly sent up security twice to quiet them down. Who lets a young child stay awake that late? Anyway, luck of the draw. We'll definitely return for another visit.

Definitely would stay here again because it was super convenient to many prime locations like the Museum and aquarium. The hotel also had a jet ski rental place right outside so easy activities to do as well. They had plenty of food options to at walking distance and small shops for souvenirs.

Don’t bother trying to park here. 12.50 for overnight parking at the threat of being towed away, and it doesn’t even ensure you get a space. Park at any of the other close by lots for 5.00 a day. And the breakfast that looks like all other hotels free included breakfast, well it is not. It’s only until you have made your way through the stale bread and cold dry omelette that they come and give you a bill for 18.00 a person. Children included. Lots of people with the look of shock on their faces. No signs or prices to be seen. Maybe in the microscopic fine print. Just re-enforced my desire to stay at a Vrbo. Paris Hilton has enough money!

They put us on the bottom floor which wasnt the best. Everything else was pretty good though.

Loved that you could walk out immediately to a clean beach. Plus the shower amenity to wash off the sand before coming back in or entering the pool is nice. The parking lot is kind of difficult to get in and out because of beach goers and one of the staff members was very rude.

Rooms were very clean. Front desk staff was helpful on getting around, especially with the new bridge. The only thing that was questionable was the cost of liquor at the pool. 2 shots were $26. That that was a bit excessive.

P.S. check in is at 4pm but typically you can go at 2pm and check in early for free as long as your room is ready. If not you can keep yourself busy at the beach and shops! ;)

We liked how close the beach was and there were plenty of restaurants close by. That said, we paid extra for a larger room with a beach view and when we went to check in the room we booked was not available. There was also mold on the ceiling over the beds and in the bathroom. Looked like the lobby was nice but the rooms need maintenance. The hall was super hot and the service for dinner was slow. The food in the restaurant was really good though. They also charge for parking daily.

Rooms were clean. The only bad experience we had was we were not told breakfast was not included until after we had ate. When my husband asked about it they said we should have received. Breakfast voucher but since we booked through hotels.com they couldn’t help us. So we paid $34 bucks to eat hotel self serve breakfast. The other thing is there is no parking!

The property was under construction which started bright and early. The balcony above ours was leaking water on ours. The ac does not go below 70. One elevator smelled like death. The beach can’t be seen from the pool. The beach was full of oil and seaweed. The only plus side was the food and the service. The service at the hotel restaurant was phenomenal!

Being able to just step out to the beach was so convenient and it wasn't crowded. Plenty to do and eat within walking distance. Loved the room. Very spacious.

Friendly staff nice location, my issues were my room was not cleaned properly, hair in the shower long and short, a sticky substance on the night stand I assume it was syrup, I know they didn't vacuum because I found another guest earpod case under the lounge chair when we did our final check before we left.

The experiance was great. The only negative was no information on hoe to place orders in the evening. Sat at ojr table for 30 minutes then finally aske one of the two people that looked like they were working. Took about 30-35 minutes to get our food. Many people at the bar drinking as priority. Many kids running and palying in the lobby as a playground as parents drank. This was a negative. Then being charged ten dollars a day to park as a guest was not great when ammenities shows parking. You pay $200 a night and to still pay for parking was a bummer. The hotel was nicely remodeled and well kept.

It was great! The only dislike I had was the water pressure in the bathroom sink and shower. Otherwise, our stay was awesome!

The maid service was very basic trash and new towels/supplies. Three days they forgot to replenish different supplies and one day we had no service at all. The front desk got very used to seeing us for forgotten supplies. Pretty substandard cleaning service. The stay was ok but not for the price.

Beautiful beachfront property. Clean, quiet rooms and a very nice pool area facing the beach. Loved everuthing about it. Beautiful lobby leading out to the beach. Very friendly staff as well.

I loved everything, the service was amazing. I did not like that you had to pay for parking and then the parking lot was full.. when you went to park for the evening so I paid to park in a neighboring lot. I also would prefer the continental breakfast be included with the stay. I understand other meals being at a fee but not breakfast.

Excellent place to stay

It's a decent hotel, average on cleanliness, but what brings the lower star rating is they charge customers for parking on there own parking lot. I've stayed here before when it was the Radisson and never paid for parking. If you cant provide customers with parking dont be in business. Ill never stay here again.

We started staying at the Doubletree last year when we went on vacation in August. The customer service has always been excellent. They are very friendly. They always take care of us. Prices are OK great location convenient right on the beach. Plenty of places to walk. Plenty of restaurants nearby Only thing I would say I didn’t like is that they charge for parking that is not cool
