Cleaning staff was pleasant. The rooms smelled like mold and did not smell nice. The shower curtains look as those they’re old and never get washed. The floors are not even, broken in plenty of places. Has bugs in the room. But if you’re looking for cheap, you get what you pay for here.

It's clean and roomy. Everything works, but I couldn't find the light switch for the kitchenette (maybe bulb was burned out) or the hi fan switch on the ac. However, it's not for staying in all the time. It's by the beach, so for a place sleep at night, it's petfect.

Absolutely terrible do not recommend, got the key from the front desk, and checked out the room and returned the key shortly after ! No Ac the toilet was filthy highly do not recommend

Our stay at the Catalina Motel was simple and convenient. The rooms weren’t the greatest, but you definitely get what you pay for. The location was perfect for the Beach to Bay race and made everything super easy. The owner was very nice and welcoming, which we appreciated. Overall, a good budget-friendly stay if you’re looking for something close to the action.

Location The rooms were not clean, very dingy, there was no hot water in our original room, so we got moved. The second room had no water pressure. Overall the property needs a total renovation.

The picture when you look at the booking sites look nice but once you book the room is terrible. Paid for 2 nights only stayed one felt unsafe with people sitting outside and others standing on the corner.

The room was very hot, next time if I do decide to stay there, I will call ahead to have someone from their staff turn the AC on. Also, there was a bad odor smell in the room, we went to purchase Febreze to get rid of the smell. Lastly, our bathroom was not clean or maybe it was, but it did not meet our expectations. A little more effort on cleaning the rooms would be appreciated. I know it's hard to keep up and clean all rooms, so I completely understand just want to give my overall experience. Thank you!

I love to stay at this motel I have cancer and it is close to my cancer center and hospital in case of reactions but more than that the owners are a nice family it is well lit at night and the beds are comfortable. I enjoy that there is cole park close by and peers to walk and enjoy the view this is the perfect place for me

It nothing like the pictures. Our toilet didn’t work. Luckily they had an extra part and fixed it that night. There’s boards up on the window in the bathroom. I didn’t look at the reviews till after. Should look at reviews first.

The room that was shown wasn't the room we stayed in the office charged me a $2.50 phone fee we had no phone in the room.The mini fridge was leaking the room smelled I was not expecting what happened we asked manager to go fix the TV which it worked for a little bit not for long I don't know and the floor was really bad in the bathroom it was caving in and there was ants inside the shower

Good location. A/C was very loud. I tried to change the temp from 62 to 68 and it started to smell awful. Had to turn it off for awhile then just leave it at 62. There was a cockroach at night. The a/c was not on when I arrived and took about an hour to get cold.

Nice, quiet, and small property without noisy or rowdy guests. It was a perfect location near the beaches and downtown. It's a basic motel without the amenities I never use anyways. Perfect home base for a quiet, relaxing weekend trip to the beach. I will stay there again.

The Catalina is perfect if you are looking for a place to rest between heading to the beach. Beds are clean and comfortable. It needs updating but for the price I can easily overlook it. We had two rooms and one had an overwhelming smoke smell, the other was a bit more updated and better.

Water wasn’t that hot for a shower and there was still hair in the shower area and the toilette seat was to small for the toilette and looked lk it was recycled and drug across the road

Owners were super friendly and sweet. We had our boat so they put us at the far end so we had more room for parking. Its an older outdated place, but over all it was clean and the beds and pillows were cleand and comfortable. If your out an about with things planned and really just need a place to sleep a few hours and shower, this is the place! We will definitely comeback!

Upon checking into room, I was disappointed to find that the room lacked essential amenities. Specifically, there was no toilet paper or bath towels provided. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the room was below expectations, with noticeable stains on the walls and other surfaces.

There was a pouch of tuna on the floor. The refrigerator was not cold the microwave should not be used. It's a fire hazard. The A/C filter needed cleaning -it was choking the flood lights in the room are horrible but that's the only source light. You get what you pay for, right

Terrible, shabby looking place. I saw cockroaches in the bedroom and bathroom. The sheets were clean and it was quiet at night so that was a plus. The motel didn't even ask for a copy of my ID which all places do...made it feel shady. They don't let you in the office. Just talk to you through the bars. Please don't visit this place.

What I liked is every time I come I like cause it's quite peaceful ground floor . The price is good . Close to fishing and other places . What I didn't like this time was the TV went out the first night the person came to fix it then it went out after 10 minutes . Went back to say hey tv out again . They said they wouldn't fix it till next day so that whole night was boring without tv. Went to sleep early .they did come the next morning but it was to fix it but . . But I will come and stay here again. TV going out won't stop me coming back to this place .

I must say I had reservations on booking here when I saw the picture of the hotel itself. But the picture of the room and the reviews I saw made me go against my initial thoughts and I booked a room. Well let’s say I should’ve stuck with my initial thoughts. My room was nothing like pictured. I walked in to a room that was dark and extremely hot because they did not have the AC on during 100• temps. By dark I mean not inviting as the pictures suggest. Even with lights on and blinds open it did no justice. The paint was very old and covered in dust. The sink leaked from pipe when water was on. The toilet would not flush properly. The bedding was old and damaged. The only thing I would say was good about this place was the pillows and location. If it wasn’t for it being non refundable and my money being short I would’ve found somewhere else to go as soon as I opened the door. I’m assuming the other rooms were better than mine to see 7.0 reviews. There’s no way room #29 would get a 1.

This place was okay. I have had way worse in the past so this place wasn't too bad. The only thing I have to say is, we never got the password to the wifi so we did not get access to that. Then there was a big wolf spider in the bathtub, which of course made the wife jump. I had to kill it. The AC's could use major cleaning or a replacement. I work in a lot of AC units and windoe units. The AC units they have has a lot of mold in it which does make the air a bit toxic to breth in. Especially for the people who are allergic.

If you need a crash pad for the night, this place works just fine. Its a very old property so adjust your expectations accordingly. I stayed 6 nights and it got the job done.

The hotel is old, the door didnt close right, you could see outside. We tried to eat at the table and roaches came out. Property was unsafe, i was worried about my vehicle all night. People coming in and out all night. We felt very unsafe. Old and raunchy place, dont recommended staying there.

I didnt get towels after our first day we decided to stay because it was late the lady came knocking on our door we could leave and get a refund because of our complain very unprofessional

Very accommodating and very understanding

This is an old motel but in a great location across from Corpus Christi Bay. Spartan conditions, but cheap room rates.

The condition air was not working properly. Some insects.

Manage is very nice. It is also close to the beach

It was 100 degrees when I walked into the room the ac was off very disappointed

Had to get owner out of bed at midnight to get the TV to work ,, TV fell off wall at 7am ,, waking us ,, no phone in room ! Room smells like mildew, went to store to get air fresher , 4 miles away , no shops close ,, no beach access walking distance ,, but ,, felt safe in the area

The room was extremely clean, and the garden outside was enchanting. The location was close to everything, and I felt safe and secure at the Catalina.

Restroom sink leaking, tub was backing up. Only thing was it was quite.

Highly disappointed. Pictures are not a good representation of this old, run down motel. One of my friends, that was also staying there, asked for another room; she was told the motel was booked but the other customers had not even checked in yet. The man at the front desk could have easily changed her room and given her room to somebody else but instead he was rude and very un-accommodating.

They were really nice, the room was real nice to stay in and not far from my job. Thank you for your Service

Older property. Friendly Check-in. Outdated, but very clean room. Only complaint, water in shower didn’t get hot, warm but not hot. Nothing nice or fancy about the ‘Motel’ but worked for a cheap night stay!

We arrived at the hotel to be told we could not check in because my dog s animal was not allowed when I specifically clicked for pet friendly we drove from Austin to corpus and ended up staying in our truck
