Room was clean, great access to I-85 and local shopping. Breakfasttime (in front of hotel) was wonderful. Did not use breakfast buffet as it only had eggs, biscuits and waffles. NO MEAT offered (except possible sausage gravy it appeared). Was missing 3 bulbs between two lights. Water pressure was a little low, so it shower head missing a few of the tiny rubber orifices made a big difference (dribbled). Good food close by, even grabbed a couples massage next door! Some of the staff were more helpful than others.

Hours are fine/great, NOTHING against the hotel. Parking is a bit unique, but it is what it is, thats a touch of a personal thing, overall not bad nor the end of the world.

The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. What we didn’t like was the food. It was terrible and we couldn’t chew it. Even the bread was stale or old. It was turkey sausage and eggs were rubbery. We had to go out for breakfast. Also the pool was closed due to chemical imbalance. The water was so cloudy so we couldn’t swim. We ended up leaving early to go home.

The breakfast was OK. There was plenty of parking.-whichever was free. We had a nice quiet stay. The only negative was the refrigerator was near bed and it made noises

The staff were friendly and helpful. The remodeled room was clean, comfortable and bright. We enjoyed our visit.

Breakfast was terrible and cold. The fan in the bathroom did not work, elevator was dripping water from the ceiling. Staff was drinking a beer and left open container out. They called our room at night while we were sleeping to give a false noise complaint which woke up our baby.

We stayed 5 nights, no room service was provided even when they said you would get it on the 3rd day, and I ask and they said they were very busy on Saturday and they didn’t clean on Sunday because I was leaving on Monday also people knocked on the door at 7 am and very loud, we work overnight shift and check out is at 11 We had stay there before and this has not happened before. They are changing the name of the hotel I believe now is comfort inn

Overall the hotel is going through a remodel. The staff was new on checking in and took about 20 minutes. The room was good, although lots of pounding and slamming from construction. Overall ok just be mindful of potential noise. Parking is limited too.

Nice, clean, granddaughter loved pool, room was nice and roomy, and they have wonderful beds. But the breakfast was not good.

We stayed in a construction zone. The people worked late and started early. The staff was really nice.

The hotel is being refurbished right now. It’s going to be very nice when that’s completed. My only complaint was that the cleaning crew and their carts used the only elevator on each floor. When you’re in a hurry to get in the elevator it can cause a problem. There isnt much room for guests when the cleaning crew and cart is on the elevator.

Breakfast was not good- Multiple people were in the breakfast area and stated they were disappointed and left to get food. Parking was terrible due to a big portion being taken up due to remodeling. Asked for bedding for pullout couch- was told they "ran out".

The parking lot was FULL 2 nights out of the 4 nights that I stayed, requiring my car to be illegally parked when I arrived at night. The lot is not that big anyway. The room servant came the LAST night I was there. Someone should come on the 2nd night of a stay. I don't like to use the same towel every night. And I brought my own washcloth and the room servant took it, thinking it was theirs. I didn't know or forgot anyone was coming. I DON'T need anything replenished the day BEFORE I check out. Maybe it's their 3-night policy, which for me happened to be my last night. Other than those 3 nuisance, my stay was fine.

Building being remodeled, woke my family and I up super early with the machinery. Breakfast was lacking

The shower door once inside did not have a handle to open the door. The ironing board was absolutely no good. Had to iron on bed. Many of the electrical stations were not plugged in. Breakfast and coffee was not adequate.

I liked that the room had a separate door between the bedroom and the living room area. My partner is a night owl so it was nice to not hear the TV from the other room. I wish that the breakfast had a meat protein option to go with the eggs.

I was not aware they did not clean the rooms or change sheets and towels every three days. However they will get you what you need. Oh.....my pet peeve....their bottled drink dispensers only serve bottled cokes $3.00 per bottle. We are Pepsi drinkers and I'm not paying $2.00 for a can drink, but thankfully we are close to a Walmart, all in all it was a great stay....and they should upgrade the refrigerators. They do not get cold.

The hotel was under renovation, which meant there were hammering sounds in adjacent rooms, and noisy construction equipment outside, for most hours of the day. Also, the side exit door was propped open with a rock, which raised security concerns for us. The hot breakfast was good. Note that coffee was empty one day, and utensils/napkins were missing on another day.

Overall, it's a nice property with very friendly staff. However, furniture was outdated; e.g., the dresser drawers were small, so there was no room to place any clothing. However, while we were staying at the hotel, work was being done to remodel each unit and update the furniture (so I look forward to staying there again after the remodel).

Easy booking even at the last minute stop we didn’t know we had to make to finish out our trip. Seamless & easy. We had a great 10hr stay before we had to drive again. What a gem of stop. Thank you.

The chairs in the pool room could not be any cheaper! The legs are very flimsy and I actually fell over sideways on the floor. And NO, the chair was not broken. And it wasn't funny. I was bruised for a week!

I tend to stick with places on Expedia that are above 8 stars. I have no idea how this hotel is above the 8. Check in was fine. The staff Friday evening were pleasant enough. Our room however was pretty bad. 1st it smelled of old cigarettes and mold. 2nd, the couch and chair were so visibly stained that we avoided even putting anything on them. Like, a red chair with white splotchy stains. Absolutely disgusting. 3rd, the bathroom is tiny and water sprayed everywhere from the spout when the shower was on. 4th, we opened the microwave to heat up dinner and there was old grease from what appeared to be cooked bacon caked all in it and it smelled atrocious. We were so exhausted Friday evening, we sucked it up and went to bed. The bed seemed clean and was actually comfortable. Saturday morning I presented concerns to the desk about the smell of stale smoke and asked if we could change rooms. She was very nice, but said in order to do that we had to pack everything up, take it with us and then come back around noon. This was like 7am. I wasn't going to load my car back up and then unload it again so I simply asked if they could clean the room and change the shower curtain bc we quickly realized that the smell was stronger in the bathroom and it was partly from that. She agreed and wrote it down and offered to have them spray in there too, which I declined. When we made it back around 10pm, nothing had been addressed. We went to bed and left asap Sunday. Never again!

Seemed very clean No hot water for two days in the shower and the front desk had the audacity to tell us we must be using the spigot backwards when the in fact the hot and cold were reversed but we still couldn’t get any hot water.

The staff seemed overworked and struggling to keep up. I found a blood smear on the bathroom floor which I had to clean up. Once I walked past the lobby and pool there was an unpleasant odor in the hallways.

The lady that checked us in was polite and efficient. The room had a fresh smell and was very clean. We enjoyed the indoor pool but I think the best part of the stay was the bed. It was so comfortable that we chose to sleep in rather than go downstairs for breakfast.

It was close to the interstate and was very nice. It appeared to be very clean. The price was good. The room was very nice but the mattress needs to be changed. There was a big dip in the mattress on my side. The room was decorated nicely. The shower had a good shower head. The toilet was very low for old people, but I realize it’s made with children in mind. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of foods available. The coffee was awful. I couldn’t drink it. I did like the tea in the room though. It was good and went well with the cookies that were out in the lobby. I loved the decorations in the lobby. They were well done. Tile floors where every noise from room above was heard. The lamps need replaced, the shades were a mess and the bulb in one of them wouldn’t stay in the socket.

Quite for the most part. The bed was amazing! The window in the room was looking out straight to a brick wall to another building. Couldn't ever get the temperature right in the room, either it was too hot or too cold. No in between. Sofa needs to be replaced because it's torn in some places. The bathroom is small and the door opens right in front of the toilet and bath tub.

Cushions bowed in, mysterious stains…needless to say, we didn’t even touch them. We stayed in room three eleven. The toilet tank has a crack down it. Other than that, no complaints.

Hotel looked and seems nice and updated. Unfortunately, the night time staff is the opposite. Came to check in to my reservation to find out it was cancelled. The guy working when I arrived walked around the corner after I had been waiting for over 10 minutes and the phone was ringing off the hook. He looked as if he was under the influence of something. Couldn’t concentrate on what he was looking at, shaking and Had dirty clothes on. Just overall not a good experience for checking in for my first time at this hotel. I decided not to try and make a new reservation due to this issue. Might try again in the future.

Today I was offered scrambled eggs, biscuit with sausage gravy. All were hot! I don't know if a different person was in charge of breakfast and that's why there was a big turn around. I didn't have to go down the road to Waffle House.

The room looked nice, however there were a few stains on the bedding. The water in the shower was cold, the breakfast was not fresh and very limited. The noise level was aweful. Hallway was dirty, needed to be vacuumed. Hair in the tub. The pictures do it no justice because they did not depict what it actually looked like.

Couldn’t unlock microwave, couldn’t use remote to watch TV, AC unit was too loud, swimming pool water was cold, breakfast was limited and subpar, and people were smoking too close to the front entrance

The breakfast was wonderful and the dining area was always clean. Our flight was delayed unexpectedly and they graciously extended our stay at the same rate at which we booked. A time that could have easily became a disaster; but thanks to the staff at this property- they ensured it was nothing less than pleasant & made sure we were comfortable in the midst of travel chaos! We will definitely be back.

Also, the bathroom vent did not work and the shower diverter half way worked resulting in poor water pressure. We have stayed at this hotel for several years over the Christmas holiday and are disappointed how the maintenance has fallen off.

The lady that checked us in was very very nice. The room was okay, but only had one chair and the beds were too high for me to climb onto so I could sit. Was very cold in the room when we got there and took most of the night to heat up. Breakfast was bad

The first room reeked of cigarette smoke. We were moved to a new room. The pillows were very thin and there was a hair in the bed. We had to buy our own pillows in order to sleep. We checked back into the hotel later in the week and the toilet flush valve malfunctioned and was squeaking so loud that we had to change rooms again.

Room: painters at door on arrival, no usb ports in the room, ceiling light no cover, bedside light broke, handicap room no walk in shower, sink didn't drain unless you pulled the stopper almost out, living area lights not working figured out not plugged in. Getting off elevator one day when door opened maintenance guy made sure he got on the elevator before we could step out, just rude to patrons of your business. Tried to keep in mind they were renovating but this is a yearly event at the same time with thousands of people coming to the area, you might have wanted to take a couple days off of renovating. Not sure we will stay again

Upon arrival I had to switch rooms due to the 1st room having open paint cans sitting on the desk. Front desk clerk was very apologetic. The 2nd room was nice and clean.

The rooms are spacious - 2 queen and sofa bed. The pillows were cozy, but the mattresses were extra extra firm.

We had to cancel our trip and did not stay. When we asked to change our reservation or get a refund we were told no. They dont do refunds. When we responded that we would let our racing community friends not to stay there- manager said i dont care, we dont need your business! So rude

The bathroom was spacious and there was an automatic night light for when I had to use the facility in the rmiddle of the night. I will stay there again the next time I'm in the area.

Hotel did not look entirely as advertised, it is looong overdue for a renovation. Room was somewhat clean but the towels had clumps of hair in them. The walls are so thin you can hear people getting off the elevator from the opposite side of the hall. Also the AC system is extremely loud every time it turns off or on. Will not be booking again. The only redeeming quality was the kindness of the staff and front desk.

The bedding, pillows and towels had hair on them. I stayed 4 days, 3 nights and did not have cleaning service at all during my stay. I emptied my own trash and when I asked for clean towels to swap, they were not available.

The lobby area smelled very strongly of fumes and the outdoor smoking araa was very close. Coffee was great abd room was clean.

Everything was great especially the water pressure in the shower I have a well and even though it’s nice not having a water bill I do miss the water pressure.

The hotel entrance was being remodeled, so it was a little inconvenient, but the nearby shopping center and location were good. The working people are kind.

The hotel had no hot water. When I asked about the hot water, I was told the manager was out of town and that the no hot water issue “wasn’t a big deal” and there was nothing the desk could do about it. Very frustrating when you stay 1 night for a bed and shower before a big work event.

The stay was good. We did have to wait about 5 minutes for someone to show up to the front desk. The only real problem we had was that they were doing work on the outside of the hotel so there was a tractor trailer taking up needed parking spaces since the hotel was full

Pool was not heated as advertised. Pool was dirty, slimey. Good was not good. Rooms were falling apart and smelly. The only thing I can say was that the staff was friendly and apologetic. Do not recommend. There are several other hotels to stay within walking distance.

There was dog hair all over the sheets on the bed and the front desk lady brought us a sheet but WE had customers had to make up the bed

We will definitely stay here again! It was clean. Staff was wonderful. I can’t say this is a complaint but the indoorpool was freezing now mind you we did not come for a pool so that is not something I would given negative rating for.

Check in was great no issues. People very friendly. Nice breakfast. They are doing remodeling outside painting of building so didn't get a window to look out bc they had to tape it all up. Loud 9a till later evening do to repairs. Other than that great place to stay!!!

Though we got an early check in that we needed, the hotel is undergoing renovations and we got a room that just got new floors and paint. The room had a very strong chemical smell so we had to leave the windows open to air it out. The removal of all the carpet makes sound travel bad from the room above.

Hotel is being renovated and we were not informed. Upon arrival we were given a room that was dirty- smelled awful and in the middle of renovation. The night auditor (forgot his name) quickly gave us a new room in much better condition. But- iin general the hotel was noisey- messy and parking a nightmare! Woke up to banging hammers next door every morning.

This has been my go to place when I’m in the area for about 10 years. The last two times I stayed, I noticed the carpet in the rooms needed cleaning, multiple stains. It was explained to me that they are in the process of getting new carpet and they have suspended the shampoo process of their rooms. As they are taking one floor at a time, I’m not quite sure why they are not shampooing the rooms on the floors not impacted. Disappointed to say the least.

I would not stay here again. The walls are very thin, all night I could hear the folks in the next room talking. They were not loud, normal conversational tone. But they talked ALL night. Somewhere a piece of machinery would run for a while, then stop, then start up again later on. The lever to close the drain for the bathroom sink is so close to the wall that I could barely get a grip on it. It really didn't matter, though, because the drain wouldn't stay down anyway. The faucet dripped steadily, wouldn't completely shut off.

As for a Smoke-Free facility that is simply not true. Pot smell in the room at night coupled with cigarette smell all of the time. Not good at all.

I think it just need an update in TVs and couple other things, and better breakfast options, but it wasn’t bad, but it’s hard when your right by 2 breakfast chains. Well 3. Nice location all day.

room smelled like mildew, and the shower would not get hot..was a very cold shower for both people..water never got even luke warm. Luckily it was for 1 night and we made due. the pillows were small squares and very flat also

Phone did not work

The hotel is under renovation but my room was a hot mess. Filthy carpet, lumpy bed, bathroom paint various patch up colors and STILL with speckled spots not even attempted to have painted. My granddaughter could have done a better job! Location worked for me so I stayed for 4 nights. So happy I brought flip flops and never touched the floor!

The room stunk horribly, nothing i sprayed helped. The shower had one temperature, scorching. Breakfast had very little options, food was nasty.

I love staying here this was our third time, the only complaint I had this time I did find some old snacks and pieces of food on floor under the bed and couch area, it was not much but it’s something that I did not like. Not that any hotels offer this so it’s not a complaint but I wish places like here that have a pool would have life jackets to use in the pool area as I did forget my sons this time. I do recommend this place and will stay here again.

I felt very unwelcomed as soon as i checked in. Hotel owner apparently has beef with locals. If you live within 30 miles. You are not allowed to stay. Be warned! Plenty of better hotwls around! Also there was blood on the carpet in the room.

Cons: We killed two cockroaches (waterbugs). I know they are common down south. We just kept everything separate when we got home and washed everything in hot water. Also, breakfast staff were great. However, we were all left with heavy upset stomachs. We decided the rest of the trip to go to Breakfast Time Anytime right next door and breakfast was awesome there! A must try.

They advertised a spa, which was the reason we chose them but upon arrival. The spa was closed. But the staff did upgrade our room. Which sorta took our mind off the disappointment.

It was convenient drive to downtown, shopping, and to restaurants. The room was clean and updated. The only drawback was the breakfast, it was included. It had many options but not always fresh. We ate there a few times and then just ended up going out to breakfast.

It was decent. Pretty clean. Looks they are working on renovations. Nice area. Bathroom needed a little extra attention in cleaning. Some leftover hairs. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok. Egg and hashbrown little dodgy.

I was traveling with my two young grandchildren and felt completely safe and comfortable. Every staff member was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time in the indoor pool and breakfast was very good.

The hotel is in a good location for what we needed. It was under renovation but that wasn't too disruptive. Unfortunately the pool and hot tub did not have hot water which was one of the reasons we chose to stay there. The staff is pleasant and attentive. The pillows for the king size bad were way to small, but the front desk did give us 2 more. The breakfast is fine but nothing to right home about. They use plastic utensils which are not that great and not Eco friendly. Over all it is a good hotel but no frills.

Everything was clean and comfortable.

The following morning the day manager advised that policy was not to refund the room until inspection, secondly advised that it is agonist the hotels policy to sleep in my personal car on property. During our conversation she advised that the employee that cleans the rooms will clean the room that is infested with the bed bugs and have it inspected on Monday or Tuesday. I advised her that that is against health regulations, as the room should be locked out by the manager or security, quarantined until inspection NOT cleaned by staff and possibly cross contaminating other rooms the employee will be cleaning the same day and allowing the room to utilized over again prior to inspection. Attached are pictures of the live bed bug that was secured and given to Jay, the overnight manager/employe. The picture of the carpeted area is a picture of another live bed bug and the pictures of the mattress area are pictures of casing from bed bugs. There were also traces of bed bugs on the linens, however we did not obtain pictures of those due to not wanting to further expose our family to bed bugs.

The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Our only minor complaints were that the pillows were quite thin, so you may need two or three for comfort depending on your preference. Additionally, on our last night, the guests in the room above us were quite noisy throughout the night and into the early morning hours.

Property manager should not be in customer service. Had to ask for towels and linens. Room was never serviced during 5 day stay.

Breakfast was disappointing- no cold drink - oj or other juices - milk put out late (like 8:30)

Have stayed here a few other times over the years , like using the spa/hot tub & swim pool .Well the spa/hot did not work or get repaired the entire five days I was there. Also parking was terrible. Do the fact that the hotel allowed a company to store their vehicles and work vehicles, construction equipment, and parking spots to me that unacceptable I understand they probably are paying a higher rate and staying long-term, but come on that’s horrible. I have to park my car out in the street because there is no parking spot available and then on my last day and a half there no warning or anything they start doing construction in the lobby, I will definitely not have to consider other avenue as possibly when coming down to visit family that I do at least twice a year.

The wi-fi was not good, but the food was good. The hotel was okay, the pillows were terrible, so bring your own.

The water was cold, had to take cold showers after they said it was fixed. The pillows were half the size of a standard pillow and still were uncomfortable. We found housekeeping comes every 3 days. There were no microwaves in room they all were om a pallet brand new. Last but least the sinks were stopped up.

There was a funny smell in the room and the hot tub was not heated, quiche was kind of the reason I had chosen this hotel in the first place. It was small and cozy overall, but I probably won't recommend to others.

Its your basic hotel. The location is easily accessible from I85. The staff was nice. The room smelled musty. The one tv remote didn't work. The bathroom door would get stuck half way open from a hump in the tile. You could see shotty quick repair jobs in the bathroom. We only stayed 1 night so I didn't make a big deal of it.

The desk clerk on check in was very nice and welcoming. I like to sleep cold and the air conditioning certainly performed it's job. As someone who follows the carnivore lifestyle, I was a little disappointed that the Continental breakfast didn't include any meat options like bacon or sausage but it certainly didn't mar my enjoyment of the stay. As a former hotel employee and maintenance worker, however, I was a little disappointed in the condition of the parking lot and landscaping, which could have used a good sweeping and weeding. Since I don't sleep in the parking lot, it didn't affect my review of the stay, which was very pleasant.

Employee family members had taking over the pool along with what seemed to be free rooms to the same members. Not very professional. Will definitely not be returning

During our stay, we had an unfortunate experience with one of the hotel staff members. Upon arrival, the lady at the front desk was neither friendly nor welcoming. She did not make any effort to make us feel comfortable or valued as guests. Her demeanor was cold and unapproachable, and it felt as though we were an inconvenience rather than guests checking in.

Hotel was clean, quiet, and safe. But the ice machine did not work, nor did the fridge in our room. Normally not a big deal, but I was in town to work an outdoor event in 80-degree weather the next morning and planned to fill a cooler with cold drinks.

Friendly people, very clean, convenient to the freeway but not much in the way of restaurants super close.
