Room was clean, but it was a non smoking room and we had to ask for the bedding to be changed. They did as we asked and it did help. The room did have a smoke smell when the ac wasn't running. Good air conditioner, check in was easy. The outside area was in our condition. There were also people hanging around outside smoking. Would not recommend for families.

There were holes.in the walls. Suffice it being a non smoking room there were cigarette burns in the sheets, blankets and even the shower curtain. The floor by the mini fridge had a thick sauce like mess on the floor. The white sheets had black stains on them. Tv remote was taped together. And I swear even though I had the do not disturb sign on the door someone went in there and sprayed the room. I think the only ring positive about this place is that the staff was friendly. I will never stay again and never recommend to anyone.

This property was absolutely horrible. We booked two nights and ended up leaving after the first night. Someone kept knocking on our door until 4 in the morning, we tried contacting the front desk and they would not answer. Absolutely terrifying, and not clean.

It was rated 3.7 out of 5 stars and personally I give it a 2 bc the ac worked great & Staff/owners were friendly.

Only thing was the vinyl floor was filthy. I took my shoes off and walked across the floor and the bottom of my feet were black. I spilled some water on the floor and used a bath mat to wipe it up. The mat was black. Vinyl flooring is great as long as it is cleaned regularly.

We can get over location, but there were some issues I that need to be addressed. Rooms are decent enough for $80. In any room the first thing I check is the cracks of the top sheet and where it tucks into the bed. NO issues, but I did notice that behind the bed against the wall was really gross. I also noticed the top sheet was inside out. (thoughts on this later). I left my phone while taking some time in the bathroom, and had no distractions. I couldnt help but look at where the wall meets the floor and it was caked with dust and hair. I did the whole TP swipe and it looked like it had not been cleaned in some time. Moving to the bed, my partner was wondering how often the comforter is washed, so we took it off only to notice many hairs, some long on the blanket underneath. This brought me back to the inside out top sheet and got me wondering if it was actually turned over between guests. Finally, preparing for bed and using a towel, I couldn’t help but notice the large stain… Look, I’m all for family run businesses and saving money is nice, but we both decided that there’s a floor to our cost saving, and we’ve met ours. That being said, if you wanna save $ you’ll be fine.

The staff are super accommodating and helpful. There are several businesses close by; which makes it convenient to go anywhere. The room has air conditioning, a microwave, a refrigerator, and is quiet.

Close location to shopping, restaurants and racetrack. Clean room. AC/heater worked good. First room smelled of cigarette smoke- they gladly arranged a different room. Staff were great. Quiet area.

The toilet supply line leaked. The floors were dirty. There was only one towel in the room. The bed was fine. Probably won't go back.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in my life. The towels and washcloths were stained, and you can see a black substance on them. The Furniture had some kind of stain all over them. The blanket had what appeared to be cigarette burns over several areas of them. The bathtub was peeled away on several spots with visual paint that was coming loose . The depiction online it had four stars and great pictures . So it seemed like it should be illegal that it was posted to be four stars.

A/C was working. Driving in is a bit heck as the intersection is used by the public buses/ bus station next door.

This “non-smoking” room wrecked of smoke. The bedding had poorly stitched holes and multiple burn marks left unpatched. One of the two beds had fitted sheets the other did not. When I spoke to the staff about the smell they simply said “No, this is a smoke free room”.

The floors had not been mopped in, well forever. The tables and light fixtures were extreamly dusty. I knew the rate was lower than others because it was an older hotel, with that being said I have no problem staying in older hotel as long as they are clean which our room was not. Plus no ice machine and our neighbors on the 2nd night fussed and cussed until after midnight we could hear every word.

Very creepy and felt very unsafe. Room had extra mattresses against the wall. Seems like a transient/homeless drop off location. We did not stay after being shown a couple of horrible rooms and received no refund. Avoid this place!

The staff was very rude and inhospitable as I stood outside in the NC blizzard speaking to them from the window. They fraudently asked for a $25 cash deposit. The room had a horrible smell. Railroad tracks behind the building with trains running periodically. The sounds weren't that bad and I was able to get good sleep.

Check in was very confusing. The person who made the reservation was unable to attend due to an emergency, and r the remaining guests ended up having to purchase the rooms. There were language barriers and it took multiple phone calls to get a resolution.

I booked a king room!!! But when I got there the owner charged me for a king room. But gave a double bed room!!!! I was over charged for the double room. And it wasn't the room that I booked. I feel like I should get a refund of the $25 that I was over charged. I will never go back there owner is rude and very unprofessional.

I lived in this town for 30 years and never noticed this place but it is clean and I will stay here again when passing through. Excellent value for this area too. Note that there is a railroad track in the rear of the property and it is right off US29/I85 so it is a little noisy. Plenty of dining nearby.

Floors were clean, bedding appeared clean. Staff was pleasant and accommodating a change from 2nd floor to 1st. Bedding was outdated, outlets were damaged and bent up, rusty metal. Toilet was rocky and not secured well to floor. Towels were old, battered and stained, hard to tell if they were clean, so I did not shower there. Not staff's fault, but a man on a motorcycle was next door, he had a LOUD Harley which he let run and revved for several minutes, as he put "packages" in his storage pouch on bike. He left at 9pm, and returned at 10pm. Then same procedure, leaving bike running as he placed pkg into his bag, again, at 3am, returning at 4am. Not sure what legal business he could be doing, but it woke me up and was so frustrating. He left at 7am, so I never got more than a couple hours sleep at a time and was agitated for hours after, unable to return to sleep. I know staff cannot discern intentions, but this disturbed the entire hotel. Ugh.

A good place for its price point and very convenient to the PNC Pavilion. Check in was somewhat chaotic. The first person at the desk needed to call for backup. They said they charge a $25 down payment for non smoking rooms, which isn’t on the Hotels.com listing. Still, the people were pleasant. We weren’t expecting luxury. The room was clean with decent bed linens. The A/C worked, which was essential in 90+ degree heat. The bath towels were small and it would be good to have more than 2 in a room for two people. The bathroom was ok on cleanliness but the corners could use a good mopping. There was a bit of an odor - probably the cleaner - when we arrived but not smoke (non smoking room). I would stay there again as a reasonably priced, no frills spot to sleep.

Location was terrible. Too many people hanging out in the parking lot & walking around on the facility. Nothing special AT ALL & definitely not worth the money.

Room smelled like cigarettes smoke, walls were dirty and tile falling from it place, staff called at 11 to do the check out and did not stopped till I was out of the room, calling and knocking on the door till I was out.

On the outside there were mattresses with bedbug debris all over them. The stairs to the second floor were rusted and wobbly. Around the building there was large amounts of trash but it was not part of the cleaning services. More than a few guests were smoking weed and being loud. At this point I just decided I was not going back in there. We slept in our car somewhere else until I could check out and get a new booking elsewhere. No refunds were allowed, so I ate the $250 reservation fee. Still better than staying somewhere unsafe and filthy.

It’s adequate but it’s not like the Ritz Carlton or anything and I was surprised that they asked me for $20 deposit in cash they wouldn’t take my debit card. They waved it because I don’t have $20 there’s no carpet which seems to be something that they don’t have here in the south But surprisingly the inside of the room looks really nice and it seems pretty quiet here despite the fact that they asked for $20 they didn’t make me go between ATM and get it so it has its good points and bad points. They need to clean up the trash around the property to make it look nicer on the outside.

It’s not a five star resort but it’s not bad either the entrance road kinda sucks but it’s not really the motels fault . There was some shady people around but believe it or not it was surprisingly quiet the rooms are outdated but clean ! If you just want a place to crash it’s good if you want luxury skip it !!

Was also right next to the bus station and 75 feet from RR tracks so heard the trains going through all night. No one else in or surrounding areas had rooms available or i definitely would have left.

Everything was really clean. Furniture was in great condition. Very updated. Would highly recommend staying here. I know we will!

I ALWAYS stay here for work and it's good for my needs. Lately, things have dropped off. Messages sent via HOTEL.com aren't read like "Pre-Asking" for a late check-out. I get off work at 3 am, at the hotel by 3:35ish, in bed by 4 and have to be up, showered, packed and OUT by 11. There are numerous other rooms that could be cleaned prior to getting to mine to allow for me to sleep just a little more instead of having to sleep in the parking lot......and NO, I'm not paying for another night just for a couple of hours. I just wish there were hotels that accommodated night shift workers, but nope. It's all about the dollar. Ice machine didn't work. Supposedly the City of Charlotte decided to work on a water line so I woke up to no water and no shower. Mold in the ice bucket, but hey, couldn't use it anyway sooooo. Electrical outlet at the sink falling out. Shower faucet flopping around. BUT...I'm sure I'll be back since here is what I can afford.

Had bugs and stains on sheets

Great place for the price. No frills but everything was clean. Easy access to interstates and local attractions. The room did have an odor of old cigarette smoke as it was probably not always a non smoking room. There was neeish paint and floors. Mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot gave yhe room everything i needed for my 4 day stay

They are pretty good landlords the only bother you if you laid on the rent and that's at 11:00 every morning

I feel like it was fairly decent for the price. Fairly decent neighborhood conveniently convenient too restaurants you have Golden corral across the street walking distance you have my McDonald's walking distance you have Wendy's walking distance and a couple of the little spots as well as Walgreens and Popeyes so it's pretty straight in the malls and walking distance as well and you even have a Starbucks so it's pretty good thanks.

The bathroom floors were so dirty that when I spilled my water and went to go clean it up, my napkin was completely black.

Property was decent. My room smelled old. Overall it was ok and very affordable.

Awesome place

That the staff was very friendly. Microwave was not working. They came right away and gave us another one. Was very polite about getting more towels and wash cloths. Cleaned our room when we left.

It was awful hard beds , suppose to be non smoking however we left smelling like smoke there were also ashtrays in the room . I wish I could get my money back . Never again !!!

The owners were really nice and accommodating for my needs. No bugs at all. The only issue I had was some people next to me played their music loud a few times and I woke up to it throughout the night.

1.It's close to train tracks so you will hear trains throughout the night. Maybe it's your ride to Hogwarts. 2. The smell...smoking is allowed and even though we were in a non-smoking room the pungent sweetish smell of possible incense of some kind and cigaretter smoke made for some rough sleep due to how sensitive i am to smells. 3. There's also limited outlets between the two beds...just 1 so we had to go buy a power strip since we forgot to bring one. 4. The bathroom light flickered in a nauseating way. We did learn that the flickering would stop of we left it on constantly for at least 15 minutes. 5. Speaking of lighting, if you are.going and have a dance competition don't count on the lighting there. I get that hotels can sometimes have poor lighting for doing makeup..especially stage make up, but this is the worst we've expereinced so far. It got me and my daughter through the nights we needed to stay, but we wont return.

Property and surrounding area looked good on line. When we arrived it was terribke. There were bars on drink and ice machine,interstate in front if motel and bys station directly behind. There were "sketchy" looking people walking ariund hotel and parking lot. Our 17yo granddaughter cried and was afraid to get out of car. We were concerned for our safety as adults. Tried to cancel our reservation unsuccessfully. Will not use travelocity again. Pictures can make anything look good.

Cabarrus Inn is my new "go-to" place to stay for work. The price is reasonable, the rooms are clean, and above ALL, the staff is exceptional !! Shekha, her brother, and the staff are ALL very pleasant !!! I have searched for months for an all-around decent place to stay when I travel for work. My work budget is very limited, but there are things more important than money. Besides cleanliness, politeness of the staff is monumental to ME.......this place has it all.

Staff was friendly, room was clean. Perfectly acceptable for a quick nights stay. There is road noise due to location, but we have white noise apps. The only downfall was the bed was very hard

Shekha, the front desk associate, was the nicest person I've encountered in all the hotels I have tried in the past few months which is a rarity. The room was clean. The bathroom was clean. The bed was nice. The price was decent for my needs.

- - So I left to get a room elsewhere, and now today, they’re trying to charge my card for the room! They’re trying to lie and say I was a “no show”.

The guy was quick at check in and friendly. Room was nice and clean and bed was comfortable. Walking distance to food was convenient. Business across the street blasted music and partied until midnight. Even with the tv on, it was heard very well in my room. I wasn't able to sleep with the noise.

Well maintained and friendly staff. Close to a highway, so earplug’s recommended for sleep.

I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews. When we look for hotels we just need somewhere clean where we can sleep for the night and we thought this would be it. Unfortunately our room was musty, and even though we picked non-smoking, it still smelled like smoke. There were stains on the floor around the fridge, holes in the walls, and the toilet seat was screwed on so it sat halfway off the toilet. The floor had dust and dirt in the corners and it didn’t even look like the mirror had been wiped. You could feel every coil in the bed mattress and it squeaked every time you made the slighted move. We thought about asking for another room but got in really late and based on the look of the place and smell of our room, we didn’t think it would make a difference. In the future, we will pay the $20 extra to stay somewhere that gets cleaned more than a 5 minute run through.
