The staff were amazing and so helpful. We were consistently greeted at the door. They were also very helpful and guiding us to where we needed to go to our son’s Turning Green Ceremony, delicious restaurants to eat at, and to where we need to go to purchase more items for our Soldier. Beautiful, safe location near the Fort Benning Base and The Infantry Museum.

Breakfast was average. The location was close to the army base but away from everything else but not a far drive either way.

Not only is the hotel right next to Fort Benning but the grounds are very well maintained w lush landscape and pristine. It is a gorgeous location and close to food, Walmart and the highway. The hotel is extremely clean! You can smell the cleanliness as soon as you walk in. Breakfast was always good with great options. 24/hr hot fresh coffee in the lobby and fresh cookies every evening at 5p. The entire staff was always willing to help and so kind. You all are nailing it!! I HONESTLY cannot complain about 1 thing.

The room cleanliness was very poor. The walls had visible hand stains, the carpet was dirty, and the bathroom was not properly cleaned. The toilet had visible staining both around the base and inside the bowl, which initially looked like residue but appeared to be some kind of peeling or buildup. I even found false eyelashes in the sink, which was very concerning. The air conditioning vents also looked like they had not been maintained in a long time. The room also needs repainting and general upkeep, as the walls looked worn and stained. The breakfast experience was also disappointing. There was limited variety, the juice machine was not working. The coffee situation in the lobby made it difficult to enjoy a warm breakfast since everything got cold quickly. The hotel needs significantly better housekeeping standards and maintenance specifically in the rooms. The common areas, however, were well maintained, so improving consistency across all rooms would greatly enhance the guest experience, especially considering the price per night.

A decent place to stay close to the base for family day and graduation. Pity the swimming pool wasn’t open for use because the GA spring afternoons are hot!

The room was clean and there were plenty of towels and toiletries in the bathroom. The air conditioner was quieter than the ones in most rooms I've stayed in. The free breakfast buffet was great and had a decent variety of items in it. My only gripe might be the distance from the parking lot to the hotel. It's a bit of a hike if you have a lot of things to bring in.

Its was a perfect location for our sons graduation from Fort Benning. The staff was very polite and rooms were very clean. Highly recommend going there again and recommend any Hampton Inn.

My favorite part about my stay was the very nice lady at the front desk. She was so kind and greeted us whenever she saw us. We had a little hiccup with the ac in our first room and she moved us right away to a much cooler room. Extremely accommodating. We appreciate her and the service she gave us so very much. I wish there were more kind people in the world like her!! Nothing! It was an extremely pleasant stay. We are just sorry we couldn’t stay longer. We hope to return one day.

Very clean and super nice staff. Uncomfortable beds, no coffee and very limited breakfast. Asked when I made the reservation for a ground floor room. They said they had no record of that, and didn’t have one. Expensive for what we got.

The hotel is the perfect location for attending ceremonies at Fort Benning and it is right next-door to the national infantry museum, it is a little out of the way for going out to dinner to the nicer restaurants and shops which are in uptown Columbus, but it is a good trade-off because it is a nice quiet setting

We came in from out of town looking for a place near Fort Benning. This hotel was located very close. The outside and inside were very nice. The rooms were nice. Overall, this was a great deal and we would stay here again.

Staff was nice and friendly. It was Clean. Coffee was not available for breakfast on Tuesday morning around 8:30-9am. Lady in kitchen told me that there wasn’t any coffee and I would have to go back to my room and make coffee to bring back down to breakfast. The lights in the room were so dim it was hard to see to get ready. To do hair and makeup. Hampton Inn changed their bedding. I did not like the topper. It was terrible. It was thin cheap looking material with gathered corners. The fluffy comforter tops were so much nicer.

Perfect place to stay for a military graduation at Fot Benning. An while there check out the infantry museum right next door. You won’t be disappointed

Close to fort benning. Clean and updated rooms with a pool. They didn’t have any coffee 2 days in a row for breakfast. It said their coffee machine was broken.

The breakfast had a good variety of food. My only issue I have and it is the same at all hotels, the gel soap dispenser is too high for someone sitting in the tub. It was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend the hotel to others.

Room was beautiful, large with a fabulous work table in the middle. That came in very handy for me, since I was working. Gives you lots of room to spread out. Shower was ok, shower head had a fan shape, rather than a continuous spray, but it was tolerable. Also a fridge and a nice microwave. Watch out though. The microwave took 6 minutes to heat up a frozen burrito. It's a very underpowered microwave. Also can't enter the doors closest to the parking lot, which was very annoying. As I had to walk back and forth dozens of times. What's that all about?

My kids had already found a handful of empty alcohol bottles peppered in chair cushions. Clearly the room had not been cleaned. So it wasn’t clean sheets I wanted, but a clean room worth the $335 I paid. We were offered another room with one less bed and told the room would be comped. My 4 year old really enjoyed sleeping on 2 chairs pushed together. 2 days later I received not a full refund but a $10 refund and another $60 refund and told “well, you were offered clean sheets.” Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

I really wanted to like this place. We stayed at another hotel in Columbus during another trip and it was OK but pretty basic and no breakfast. We wanted to stay somewhere nicer this time. After an entire day of travel, we got in late and were really exhausted. The outside of the hotel was very attractive, except the parking lot was adjacent to the hotel and not right in front. The lobby was attractive and front desk lady was very friendly. She warned us that there had been some key issues earlier in the day. Our key didn’t work, but she quickly resolved the issue. Air-conditioning was not working properly in the room and the room was 74 and stuffy. Front desk lady came to reset the air. Went to sleep with it a couple degrees cooler but during the night stopped working again. The room was clean and beds comfy. But the bathroom left room for improvement. There was dust and hair in the corners like it needed a good deep cleaning. Breakfast was good and breakfast area was pretty and clean. Tables were very wobbly so be careful with that hot coffee.

Someone dropped the ball and l am trying to get it figured out for about four hours standing at the front desk. It was a nightmare 😔. I was about to go back home two hours away. Thank God in the fourth hour of me standing there Mrs Gloria got it straightened out. This was ridiculous. I will never book through hotels.com again. 4 hours at the front desk is crazy. I was livid.

All the staff were absolutely outstanding. Charlie, in particular, was beyond fantastic. Professional, courteous, helpful,very friendly…they made you feel like you were known to them, like family, forever. I’ve stayed in many hotels throughout my personal and professional life, and this had to be THE BEST experience I’ve ever had. The hotel was so clean and in order. A very peaceful stay. And let me add once again, ALL the staff were over the top, helpful, and so friendly. PERFECT stay at The Hampton Inn Columbus, GA, South Fort Benning. Whoever owns/manages this property should be grateful for all their employees there. Our stay was August 20-22, 2025.

Had to change rooms since our bathroom sink didn't work, the rooms were clean and staff friendly and helpful. The pool was closed down our first night so the kids were disappointed. They reopened it the next day.

Property was nice, clean, convenient... Felt like it was a bit overpriced, but it was my first time in the area, nothing to compare. Front desk staff was young and not friendly or helpful and often away from the desk. Asked for help with the guest laundry (uses an app that didn't seem to be working). Her short answer was, "don't know anything about that" then turned and walked away.

Staff did not check on the status of our room. Garbage or towels. We changed our garbage daily and had to ask for new towels. The bed was like a rock. Most of the time, no one was assessable at the front desk if you had questions. We had to wait 15 mins to check in (Eve) and no one came to check out (MN).

The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and professional. The breakfast was simple but fulfilling. The only thing missing was bacon at breakfast and melted cheese for the potatoes or some packets of instant grits.The staff that provided the breakfast was friendly and attentive. They kept the breakfast area clean and loaded with food. I'm also with there were vending machines for snacks at the hotel. However, the hotel provided free hot coffee and hot chocolate around the clock.

No complaints at all. Very close to the Army Base, very very clean and safe. Will stay here again

Nice place. Railroad did shake the bldg a little

We booked this hotel based on how close it was to base and the pool. The pictures are deceiving. The pool was in terrible shape. Extremely cloudy and dirty. There were only five lounge chairs around the pool area and every one of them were ripped and broken. Basically laying in them at your own risk. Most of the time the pool was closed because there was no one to maintain it. Since the pool was not swimmable the staff would not open the gate so we can at least enjoy the weather outside. There was no where to relax. Plus there was no air conditioning throughout the halls and dining/lounge area. Hot and uncomfortable. We stayed 4 nights and our room was never attended to. Also run down, not like in the pictures. No new towels and garbage overflowing. Extremely disappointed. All the guests were complaining. Do not recommend staying here.

We love staying at this hotel when visiting Fort Moore/Benning. It shares a parking lot with the Infantry Museum which we recommend visiting. It is located close to the gate to get on post so really convenient for visiting. It offers a gym, pool and breakfast. It is clean, quiet and safe.

The hotel itself is very nice but the parking lot was a bit of a ways from the main entrance.

This hotel was PERFECT! The staff was wonderful, it was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was great!

Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Disappointed that the pool was closed that was 2nd reason for chosing the hotel. Breakfast omelets were awful stick to scrambled eggs, take pork sausage out and cook bacon.

This was a quiet location with easy access to Fort Beening for our Grandson's graduation from Basic Training n the U.S. Army. The hotlel was clean and quiet and the staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was typical fare tasty with a number of selections.

Great hotel-missed the note in the bathroom stating that room is only serviced every other day. But front desk responded immediately with fresh towels and coffee.

Very clean & convenient location to base.

Stayed here for my son’s boot camp graduation. It is close to the field the ceremony was held and easy to get on base. It’s also close to stores and restaurants. Highly recommend

Love walking around the museum and the whole area. The hotel breakfast was good. The shampoo bottle was completely empty though - they need to be checked. And weird thing - we got a welcome to the Hampton that popped up on our TV. Imagine my surprise to see the TV light come on at 11:00 p.m. Woke us up! What’s the deal?

Booked 2 rooms for family to stay in while attending son’s Turning Blue ceremony and graduation from AIT at Fort Moore. This hotel is perfect for any activities that your Soldier participates in at Fort Moore. Full Breakfast, clean rooms and comfortable beds. All the staff are very helpful and have excellent recommendations of things to do while staying there.
