The hotel is clean, beds comfortable, and convenient to downtown. Staff friendly and helpful. Stayed here before but was disappointed that the pool water was cloudy, so I did not use. Looked forward to indoor pool and was clean my earlier visit. The breakfast was tasty last time, but also was disappointing this visit. Hotel pretty empty but food should be hot, if served hot.

Clean and quiet rooms, friendly staff great location. The only thing was felt the pool water was very cloudy and extremely hot in the room.

The breakfast was just okay. The eggs weren’t great. But everything else was pretty standard for a hotel breakfast. The water pressure in the showers are absolutely amazing. The pool was fine the water could be a little cleaner. Beds weren’t very comfortable.

The property was right across the street from Publix in a nice, clean, quiet and safe area with a McDonald’s near by. Also, the entire staff were absolutely great — the hotel is well worth the money especially for a weekend with family and friends with an in house full bar, continental breakfast and service desk snack center.

Ive traveled alot and this was one of the nicer property's Ive been too in a while. The staff was so friendly, the room was very nice (with separate comode area) and the breakfast was great! I dont eat pork so I appreciate the alternatives along with a full oatmeal and cereal bar! I did notice that the pool area was small and indoors. The property was within 10-15 mins walking to lots of food/bars and the Colonial Life Stadium.

Everything about our stay was great! Shout out to Shante (front desk) and Ms. Deborah (kitchen staff)! They were awesome and helpful.

The staff and breakfast were excellent. Location was great for what we needed. I only gave 4 stars because the bathroom in the room was not great. They had sliding glass doors that did not fully close. Being a private bathroom person that was very uncomfortable. The rooms did have 2 sinks though so that was a plus.

WE CHECKED IN WITH 5 PEOPLE, THEY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGHT BLANKETS. THEY SAID HEY WERE OUT. NONE OF TGHE PRODUCTS IN BATHROOM SHOWER HAD ANY PRODUCT IN THE. NO TOWELS. NO CUPS, NO COFFEE/ THEY DID NOT EVEN HAVE EN OUGHT PILLOWS. THEY SAID IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE MASTERS GOING ON AT THE SAME TIME. ALSO 5:30AM THE FIRE ALARMA WENT OFF. WE CALLED THE FRONT DESK, THEY SAID FALSE ALARM. IT WAS NOT A FALSE ALARM. CONFERENCE ROOM A WENT ON FIRE. WE HAD TO EVACUATE TO OUTSIDE THE BUILDING, THE HALLWAYS AND ROOM WAS FILLED WITH SMOKE. THANK GOD WE LEFT THE ROOM, AND DID NOT LISTEN TO RECEPTIONIST. WE HAD NOT SUPPLIES. WE DID NOT GET ENOUGHT COFFEE, OR CUPS/STIRRERS, NOTHING. THEY SAID THEY WERE ALL OUT. AND WHEN YOU ENTER THE LOBBY, THERE IS A SHELF FREE TO GUEST TO GRAB A WATER. WE WENT TO GRAB A BOTTLE EACH. AFTER OUR DRIVE WE WERE THIRSTY. I WAS TOLD "NO" ONE PER FAMILY. 1 BOTTLE OF WATER!

The breakfast was good. The staff great. Justin and Alexis were excellent. The rooms were nicely done. The bathroom with shower portion needs more than one hook to hang towels - especially when there are 2 people. There also needs more hangers when there are more than one person. No issues that were significant.

The pool was ok except there was a chunk of somebody’s hair and a pink headband on the floor when we got to the pool at 3 PM. When we went back to the pool around 10:30 that was still there. Gross! I know somebody had been in there because the towels had been restocked.

I really enjoyed the breakfast and the staff, everything was clean and every one was so friendly and helpful. There was nothing that I didn’t like.

Location was great! The room A/C unit was noisy when it would come on. Stain was on the bathroom walls and not enough carts available for the number of guest to take luggage back and forth upstairs.

The room was clean and perfect for our size family.There were three adults and three children. We were in town for my daughter's graduation.From basic training at Fort Jackson. Although it's a little distance from the base.We liked that we weren't congested with all the others who were in town for the same thing. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Because we had to leave early to go to the graduation, we weren't able to use the breakfast service so can not rate that. Would definitely stay again. Also loved the bathroom set up in the room. One "room"with sink and toilet, and the other had sink and shower, all in one suite so it worked well for us. One could shower and not have to rush if someone needed to use the bathroom.

Front desk clerk was not very friendly at check in, we had to wait a while to get sheets for the trundle bed, we had 4 ppl in the room and only enough towels for 3, and the water in the shower never got above lukewarm. Also the orange juice at breakfast was so watery it was not drinkable.

I’m a Hilton gal and this hotel reminded me why!! I booked a king room about 30 minutes from arrival. When I arrived, I was informed there were no king rooms and only one with 2 queens. I would have booked elsewhere had that been my only option. The front desk gal was rude about it as well, which I usually don’t care because I’m not there to make friends but this one was very just mehhh and she didn't care one bit. This was a one and done for us.

Staff that was handling breakfast this morning was so sweet!! She needs a raise! I gave 3 stars because the room was just ok, the fridge had what looked to be a spill in it that was turning moldy and it didn't have a pleasant odor. This appears to be a newer hotel and overall looked to be in good condition. The breakfast selection was the best we've seen in a long time. Unfortunately, our room was on the side next to a busy road so there was some noise, but not enough to keep us awake. The beds were very comfortable and the water pressure was excellent.

Complaints there was hair in the shower and when I let the sofa sleeper out there was a used q tip and food crumbs

The staff was great. The hallways were extremely hot and the room never cooled even though the thermostat was set for 60 degrees. The mattresses were hard and very uncomfortable.

I was unhappy with the cleaning services. My room was never cleaned for my entire stay. I had to take out my trash and request clean wash clothes and towels.

The location is excellent (except for the rooms that overlook a busy street and which are not soundproofed from the noise). The beds are awesome. Breakfast was quite OK for american standards - for European standards, it was so so. My colleague's credit card was charged in advance with an amount considerably bigger than the total price. The staff did little to nothing to resolve this issue. My credit card had seen several smaller charges. Even to this day they are still listed as "on hold" even though my stay has finished 3 days ago and the bill has been paid by a separate balance payment. (It almost seems like Marriott and/or the hotel are making some money operations in the background.) The front desk staff could not explain the bill. All of the above is UNACCEPTABLE. Also, room service did not vacuum clean the floor. The room could not be properly ventilated to get fresh air. The air conditioning machine is very loud and its connections to outside are not soundproofed. Therefore, outside traffic noise penetrated loudly into the room. Two days into our stay, the WiFi service stopped working. On our first report to the staff the issue did not get fixed. After another day and half, on my second request, an IT member called to my room and we resolved the issue in 10 minutes.

The room was spacious and comfortable. We loved the location as it was close to so many restaurants and was a publix next door. The heated pool was fantastic and the customer service was great . The bathroom doors were awkward and didn’t lock.

I didn't like that they charged me $10/day for parking. Online it says $3/day. Parking should be included in your rate to begin with. We went to a late movie and barely squeezed into one of the last 2 parking spots as the parking lot is small and some jerks park on the lines rendering spots inaccessible. (They should have to pay $20/day) Our room faced Huger Street and you can hear traffic all night. Guessing it'd be less noisy if your room faced the parking lot. The plumbing was loud enough to hear through the walls as well. We could hear the adjoining room's shower and toilet, so I am sure that they could hear ours as well. Not ideal for a light sleeper.

Whoever wrote that they liked breakfast they lied. The choice of food is very limited and very cheap. At 8:00 am there was hardly anything left. Food is not being replenished. The furniture around the hotel, in our room was stained and simply dirty. Black mold in the shower and the door to separate restroom doesn’t close all the way. We didn’t get even half a smile from anyone from the staff. We paid almost $700 for 2 nights and I don’t remember a thing we liked about this hotel. Stay away.

I asked for my room to be cleaned after the 1st night there and it didn’t get cleaned until 5pm. I requested for my room to be cleaned again the next day and the supervisor said that they might be able to get to my room. Who tells a customer that? When the cleaning lady came, all she did was take out the trash. She did not pick up any towels or leave any additional towels. I will NOT be staying at this hotel ever again.

Really nice room

I like that it was very close to the campus and easily walkable. The people were great all around. I don't like being charged $10 a day for parking my car in the hotel lot while I stayed there.

Great location walkable to restaurants. There's a grocery store across the street for last-minute items. Main Street is four minutes away. The only negative is that the bed wasn't super comfortable.

I loved that it had an indoor pool but it was not heated. The staff accommodated us with a bath tub after checking in our original room that had a shower. It was a very pleasant stay.

Stayed for a concert, very close and was able to walk. Clean property with helpful staff.

Great hotel and location. The only drawback is the bathrooms have barn doors that don't provide enough privacy, so that depends on your comfort level.

When I entered the floor of my room it was very warm, and my room was very uncomfortable, even though the AC was running at 68. The toilet would not flush. I went back to the front desk and they immediately sent staff to repair the toilet. It was a hot day so I did not mention the AC, thinking that perhaps the unit had recently been turned on. We left to go to our event and when we returned the room was still very hot. This was several hours later. We informed the front desk and they offered us a new room, which we eagerly accepted. The new room was comfortable and much cooler. However, in closing the sliding bathroom door the handle came off. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I hate making these comments because they were so kind and helpful, it just seems the property was cheaply done.

Property was nice and clean. Location was great! However, I don’t know if the main building A/c wasn’t working properly or at all, as it was extremely hot in the halls, lobby and elevators. With it being so hot out in the halls, it made it difficult to get to a comfortable level in the rooms themselves. Breakfast was as good as it gets for a free continental breakfast.

It’s a nice hotel. The bathrooms are the focal point of the room which is odd. Thx tv partially swivel to seated but not completely. Design seems odd. Summer rate seems ok. Off property parking available from 6p-8am-staff doesn’t tell you that. $10 parking automatically added.

Easy commute to USC

Property was great and our stay was perfect. The only downfall was the room wasnt totally cleaned. There was gatorade and soda bottles left along side bed. Behind nightstand had not been vacuumed there was wrappers and debris. Housekeeping came pounding pretty early. Luckily we were awake. Otherwise its a great hotel.

Great Staffs

Great!! One bad thing is that it took forever for the room to cool down. We bumped the air conditioner to 60 and in the morning it was still stuffy.

Staff gave us keys to an occupied room. Didn't seem to care that much when we had to lug our stuff back down to check-in to get a new room. The put us in a potentially dangerous situation and didn't care.

Awesome hotel. The only complaint I had was they only have 2 washers and 2 dryers and one of the washers wasn’t working so it took a little longer to do 3 loads of clothes.

Really no complaints… local eateries & Publix market nearby. Pleasant walk up Lady Street to Main Street…the Saturday market is a must!

We spent one night at Spring Hill for a family event. The hotel was clean and quality was as expected for a hotel of this class. Property was very clean and well maintained. Location is great - very close to all the downtown activities in Columbia. Good value for the money.

I liked the layed back feel of the resort.

If the pool was open until midnight, and grits were on the breakfast menu, this would have been 5 stars.

Excellent location for my business needs and proximity to restaurants. Staff is nice but disappear at the desk at night. Spacious room and great bath set up with a separate toilet room. Bed was a bit soft but good pillows. Lots of parking.

Property is nice

Location wise was ok, however overall property condition, building is completely outdated and dirty.

When I arrived there was no doorman, but 3 people were at the front desk with no guests. I was struggling to get the luggage cart through the entrance as the door was not automatic. The staff watched, but did not help. My bathroom floor flooded after my first shower and there was no drain in the bathroom floor. The shower seals were not correctly installed. A very nice young man fixed this on my 2nd day. I used the bathmat and a towel to soak up the water as I was afraid of leakage to the floor below. My towels were not replaced and my room was not cleaned the next day. The towels were paper thin. I have never had such thin towels in an American hotel. The clothes armoire stank. It smelled like perspiration. I was told it was a stain newly applied to the wood. I was a furniture dealer for almost 40 years. I have never smelled a stain like this. My clothes absorbed the odor. If I was paying less than $100 per night, I would expect this type of experience, but for $300 per night, it was not OK.

Great location near University of South Carolina and walkable yo redtsursnts, grocery stores and events.

Staff was excellent

I do wish the room would have gotten cooler when turned all the way down for two days. Also the toilet was super low to the ground. So much so my knees were bent. No way my mother would have been able to get up, was a little difficult for me. All of the staff greeted me, from the maintenance man, to laundry gal, cleaning ladies, breakfast attendants. Really nice touch! The hallways that had a ton of traffic did show on the floors, all areas were well maintained. I would absolutely stay here again!
