My room didn't have bed bugs and was moderately clean, but other than that, I have nothing good to say about staying at this hotel and would not recommend it. The doorknob on the bathroom door was unscrewed and hanging down, the door itself had a massive hole in the bottom of it, apparently from a prior guest kicking it in to do who knows what. Other guests were extremely loud outside the rooms and in the parking lots until the very early hours of the morning (1 or 2 am) making it almost impossible to sleep. The A/C unit was also very loud and had to be turned off when trying to sleep, making the room hot. There was also a loud train that came by periodically and ambulance/police sirens transiting through the area could be heard all through the night. Overall it, didn't feel particularly safe. Hotel staff also were unable/unwilling to provide me with additional shower towels upon request. I am glad I was traveling solo and not with my family because they would have almost certainly made me leave the hotel to find somewhere else to stay. Not usually one to write bad reviews, but other potential guests need to be aware of these issues.

Hotel/motel has seen better days. So much work needs to be done to even bring this place up to average standards.

They're are lairs and don't know how to treat people and that hotel is troublesome and the rooms smell like dog's and it's not very clean and it's pricey i won't pay another dime and they will go around and lie on you and say you didn't pay on time and that's a lie never go there it's not family friendly don't waste your money and don't trust that white lady she's is trouble she like standing by your door for nothing

Nothing, I was given a room that had stained sheets and pillow cases, had dirty bedding on the chair and garbage in the room. It smelled like smoke. So they gave me a different room and it was filthy. Stained bedding and the air freshener was so strong I could not breath and became nauseated. My dog would not leave the door area, and I left and never went back. I believe there were homeless people living next to the hotel and there were many people hanging around almost loitering. I felt unsafe.

Room needs some basic maintenance and cleaning of "out of the ordinary" spots, but it is fine for a one-night stay with my pet. Comfortable bed; linens, pillows, towels and floor were clean with signs of wear. Local restaurant adjacent to the property has fantastic down-home cooking and there are plenty of chains nearby if you prefer. Staff was welcoming and professional. Would stay again.

It was a horrible experience first room had a sticky black stain between the beds and toilet didnt flush then second room didnt have a tv remote and the ac kept shutting off would not stay on no matter what settings we put it on

The room wsa barely adequat...the floor was dirty and very dated. Interestly I found the bed very comfortable! The area to walk pets was a mess! The staff was very nice!

The hotel was not the cleanest and I was there for 3 nights. No one came to clean the room the entire time I was there. They have families staying and the children were very loud and running late at night screaming. There were others that partied right outside my door without any consideration for me or their noise level. I was without power for 6 days and needed a place to stay, but will not stay at the Red Roof Inn again.

When we stayed at the property there was paint coming off the ceiling in our bed falling on into our bed people outside the hotel smoking weed trash all over the ground and a very dirty place dont look like pictures on website

Ceiling falling in, reeking of smoke (in a non-smoking room) stains all over the bedding, no towels available and everything needs fixed. I checked in a little late being closer to 11:00 at night but was still greeted with a smile and friendliness. The room was very clean and even the smell that sometimes you get that lingering hint of a mildew was all gone I think they went around and cleaned all the air conditioning units and it freshened up a lot I recommend to anybody looking for a simple affordable place to stay... this would be it. Thanks!

This place needs a complete upgrade. Staff was friendly though and AC worked well. Our non smoking room smelled heavily of smoke, the toilet was not level, the paint is peeling.

first room was not clean. food container trash beside microwave. dead beetle on headboard of bed. luggage rack broken and laying on ground with chips and other food particles along the corner of baseboard by luggage rack. medicine bottle trash on floor behind door and bathroom sink had stains that weren’t cleaned after dumping something in sink. changed rooms easily- front desk staff was super helpful and friendly. second room had not been moped so stains on floor to be of some sort of food or drink spill. linens were clean, bathroom was clean. old property so reasonable for the area, however left before bedtime as i didn’t feel safe as my husband had to return home for flooding ( massive storm in the area). so i left as well.

Little rough around the edges. There's definitely worse places but this place felt a little shady. There was some random homeless guy smoking in the back of the parking lot while we unloaded our stuff when we checked in at night who was singing and talking to himself just loitering. It was a place to sleep while in transit on the road and nothing more.

The hotel clerk Trinity was absolute doll! When I arrived after driving for multiple days she couldn’t locate my reservation due to Hotel.com not providing it . Instead of just turning me away she spent over a hour assisting me with dealing with hotel.com it was truly refreshing The hospitality and understanding provided when telling hotel.com representative that booking it again when it’s already paid for is not acceptable service. When back in the area I will for sure stay in my trip this is the only hotel that kept at 100% not claiming it something other then what it is!

This property is disgusting. Cigarette burns and stains on the dresser and sheets and bedding. This was supposed to be a non smoking room and was obviously smoked in. I left with my clothing smelling of cigarette smoke it was so bad. The first room they put us in was already occupied, thank god they had the deadbolt on because otherwise I probably would’ve had their dog chasing after me. The second room had a hole in the window covered by cardboard. Smelled like smoke. Shower was so dirty I didn’t even feel comfortable using it. Floor bubbling up and sticky, didn’t even take my socks off. No TV remote. Doors had to be forced open because they were so stuck. I’m honestly surprised I didn’t see any bugs. I understand that this isn’t meant to be a vacation destination, but we just needed somewhere to sleep overnight for a few hours on a roadtrip so we figured it would be simple and at least clean. It was 4am when we arrived and I couldn’t even fight the hotel staff anymore to try and get a better room but I have a feeling all the rooms are just as bad. (And this was supposed to be their “deluxe room”) Next time I’ll just spend the extra money to stay at a nicer brand hotel. But if you want a nice, clean, simple stay where you might feel somewhat safe and comfortable, look elsewhere and spend the extra 50 bucks to go to a larger and more reputable brand.

This property is disgusting. Cigarette burns and stains on the dresser and sheets and bedding. This was supposed to be a non smoking room and was obviously smoked in. I left with my clothing smelling of cigarette smoke it was so bad. The first room they put us in was already occupied, thank god they had the deadbolt on because otherwise I probably would’ve had their dog chasing after me. The second room had a hole in the window covered by cardboard. Smelled like smoke. Shower was so dirty I didn’t even feel comfortable using it. Floor bubbling up and sticky, didn’t even take my socks off. No TV remote. Doors had to be forced open because they were so stuck. I’m honestly surprised I didn’t see any bugs. I understand that this isn’t meant to be a vacation destination, but we just needed somewhere to sleep overnight for a few hours on a roadtrip so we figured it would be simple and at least clean. It was 4am when we arrived and I couldn’t even fight the hotel staff anymore to try and get a better room but I have a feeling all the rooms are just as bad. (And this was supposed to be their “deluxe room”) Next time I’ll just spend the extra money to stay at a nicer brand hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. At dark the area outside was a little sketchy had some guy walk up and bum cigarettes and one guy was in the dumpster but I didn’t feel unsafe I had my daughter, grandson, sister and 3 nieces with me and never felt unsafe. Overall I would stay again if I needed to. Very convenient to stores and eating places. Also very close to Fort Jackson that was the main reason I was there to watch my son graduate bootcamp… No Bugs so super plus

Room was not thoroughly cleaned. No Tv remote, room phone was not connected to make call to front desk. Went to front desk and no one was available nor picked up phone when i called, twice. Had a very unpleasant experience.

Hotel was nothing like the picture on their website. Ridiculously small room, of course, roaches. Peel and stick tiles on the floor, that were peeled up, musty, moldy, bed was atrocious. Holes in the walls/doors. The area around the hotel was riddled with drugs and it was sketchy. I would never in a million years go back there.

Also not to forgot fridge and nonworking tv, mildew smell from beds as if dirty sheets were not bed enough, little to NO WIFI. We did found a bug but first we assume its because hot summer in south but introduce with more when it rain later that evening.

We stop here while passing through for a really quick sleep only was there about 8 hours(thank goodness) the bathroom there was mold all behind the toilet and my wife said she felt like it was gonna collapse when she sat down. The ceiling in the sleeping area was falling down this room overall was in bad need of repair. We will not be staying here again

This motel has a good location, right off the interstate, and the room was clean and spacious. However, the bed was old and lumpy, and the room was hot! We thought that was because we were in South Carolina. We turned on the AC, but it was very loud and rattled too much for us to sleep. The AC unit also said it provided heat, so we didn't think about there being another heat source, until the next day when we checked out and I mentioned that it was hot in our room. The clerk said, "Oh, the heat must have been on in your room," and she and another clerk there laughed. It turned out that there was another heating source. It must have been set at 80 degrees!

Property was old. The room we we put in was supposed to be handicap accessable. It was not.

Customer service was great. Lady made you feel at home and answered all your questions that you had. There was issues with the room, from leaking faucet and old mattress that needed to be replace.

Arrived at11:30 pm, was told they were sold out, and didn’t even have our reservation even after showing them our documentation. Tried app to find another location, but couldn’t schedule anything for the night of the 22nd anymore!

Affordable prices, am with no issues. The rooms were dated but clean. I enjoyed my stay.

Toilet rocked, bedspread had burn holes & stains, my side of king bed broken down enough that I thought I might roll out, ac unit extremely noisy. Worst was upon arriving back from dinner about 10:15 pm other guests were set up in folding chairs in the parking spot immediately next to our car out front of our room having a smoking and arguing party until 12:30 am. Had we asked them for quiet or called the front desk we would have feared for a keyed car or would have had to change rooms.

It served its purpose a place to sleep, but wouldn’t return. Cleanliness was not up to par, it had a weird smell, ceiling was patched up.

The room was in terrible shape. Whoever did the paint job in the bathroom did a terrible job and stepped into paint and then into the bath tub, leaving brown footprints from their boots. Was scary to even use the toilet. Clearly management cares less

It was a decent hotel, up to date on the inside, but not on the outside. But when entering the room, I was pleasantly surprised but the updated and clean room. I slept comfortably and there were no issues.

I wouldn’t suggest staying here with a family. Some shady stuff went on all night long. Very scary!!

Each room smelled like smoke. There were junk food bottles and wrappers found under the bed. The tv did not work in either of the rooms I was in after complaining about the first room. Lights did not work. The door was left unlocked and open before getting to the second room. Very nasty ! Staff was always rude and did nothing to help.

Soone knocked on door several times in middle of the night. Woke up to police every where looking for someone. Parting in the rooms beside us. I was afraid.

The “heaters” in the room had burn marks on them, the shower area was dingy and the towels had holes in them. The toilet had a gross ring in the bottom. Soap scum and gunk all in the drain of the tub. Tub didn’t plug to give my infant a bath. No bassinets. No hair dryers. It was completely noisy hearing the same loud music over and over. Pillows were flat. No refrigerator but space for one!? And to top that off a tip envelope for the “staff”

Comfortable room but area is a bit sketchy . Was fine for one night while travelling north.

Stay was good. Bed was kind of stiff, but the metal plate heating was great. Room was clean and cozy.

Would like a refund!
