The property was very unsanitary. The smell was horrible. They tried to give me another room, but it was not any better. It was a disaster. I would not recommend this place to anyone .

Beds with hairs, smelly rooms like urine or smoke, walkways are dirty with stained drips and cockroaches at night. overall, not a pleasant environment. Had to be switched bedrooms after being shown 3, it was close to midnight had no option but sleep there since they had already taken my deposit. Just a dreadful experience!

The room had a very damp feeling. The covers seemed to be damp. The location was terrible. There were alot of people hanging outside, looks as if they we're living there. Overall my experience was very unsatisfactory.

Run, don't walk, away from this Motel 6. It was absolutely terrible. We needed a place for one night as a stopover for a long road trip. We got two side-by-side rooms. When we arrived, the clerk took $100 per room deposit, but never bothered to tell us there was no hot water. The outside of the motel was filthy, and the elevator to get to the room was disgusting. The rooms themselves were dirty, and it reeked of marijuana smoke. I had my children with me and we couldn't shower, (no hot water) but even if there were hot water, to think of anyone touching the floor with bare feet made me cringe. We had probably 10 different individuals hairs on the bathroom floor; it was disgusting. I went to use the sink to wash my face,(I had to microwave a cup of water to get ANY hot water) and found the pipe from the sink was leaking all over the floor. We had to catch it with our garbage can. I called down to the front desk and told him it was terrible, that there was no hot water, a leak, and it was dirty...his reply was, "Oh yeah, sorry, we had a pipe burst." So, he knew beforehand the water situation and never bothered to tell us, but happily took my money. Thankfully, the desk clerk quickly refunded the deposit the next morning, and that she would approve a refund through Expedia. I didn't leave the property until I got through to Expedia to get that done...and thankfully, it was all refunded. There are long term renters and people living at this property, too. All-in-all, it's a dump!

This hotel must have a deep clean and new management, very poor maintained, trash and dirty floor with trash can full of trash. Room is dirty, feel like a homeless shelter. Will never stay again, make sure you look at review from worst to best to know before booking

Location was close to interstate. The room we paid for wasn’t available. We were told they didn’t have king rooms even though we paid for it and they didn’t give us any other option besides two doubles. Pretty sure they just had painted over black mold. Overall okay for 1 night stay. Otherwise worn out motel.

Although the room was cleaned, it smelled like smoke for a non-smoking room. There was a dirty hand towel left in the bathroom. Air conditioning and parking was great. The staff was great.

I was booked for a 3 night stay and checked out the following morning. I paid for another hotel and got no refund. The tv didn’t work, the shower was disgusting, there were a lot of people living there and partying so it was really loud all night. If I could zero stars I would.

Compared to the place we stayed at the night before, this was probably like a five star resort, lol but in reality, the floors were pretty dirty in our room to the fact that our feet got black after walking past it a couple times and a few other dirty areas, it probably won’t bothered anybody else, but since I’m a professional housekeeper, it definitely was an issue for me but other than that, the room was excellent and was exactly what we needed

The tub was dirty so I didn't use it, I went to a friend's house, it was hair in the bathroom the floor looked like the trash was swept into the corners. And I was forced to use my debit card my whole trip because the receptionist did something with my card to where the credit card company restricted my card and requested I send in my i.d and a utility bill and it would be reviewed for 7 days. Just messed me up totally.

The dog noise from a nearby room throughout the day and evening was discouraging, and my wife could find no way to contact the front desk about it by phone. The outside of the building was not as well cared for as the room. Also, loud music noise from a car parked outside at 2:30 am was annoying. We checked out at 3:15 am and won't come back.

The price is definitely what you get and still maybe high. All though upon walking in to the room it looks clean and has been updated. The floors are filthy I would not walk barefoot of in just socks. The bathroom was clean but the shower curtain had a smell. My daughter ended up getting sick from the air of the air conditioner unit. A trip to urgent care and antibiotics later. Again it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great.

When I check in to take a hot shower the hot water didn't get hot enough. And when I try to watch TV when I came back the same night. The TV wasn't working it said no Internet. So when I call the office I didn't get no answer plus the office was closed. I will never in my life with book that hotel again

Parking was outside our ground level room. Dog friendly- bathroom door was busted; trim work had been chewed around door frame; control panel over toilet to electrical(?) left open- dangerous if traveling w/kids. Shower curtain rod was barely attached to wall, causing the rod to droop and the shower curtain to slide to middle of tub.

Motel was in an odd location off an on ramp to the highway therefore you can only get to it one direction. A little loud by the highway and airport. Plenty of space to walk a dog. Staff member was very helpful when we could not figure out the tv. Came right to our room to show us.

Overall was not bad but ceiling in my room had stains of old leak and bathroom door needed to be replaced, good location easy access.

The hotel was easy access off of highway. The front desk staff was very friendly. The room was very clean and updated. I liked the fact that staff spread guest out, leaving empty rooms between, which helps with the noise level. The only thing that was a bit strange is they required $100 deposit at the desk. At time of checkout they view your room and if it's okay then you receive your money back.

Yes, there was no furniture outside of the bed for a king size room, no breakfast served, the location was on a frontage road, not close to anything unless you have a vehicle, and the staff, for the most part were rude. Got one trashcan for a big room.

The room was not clean. There was no working telephone in the room. It was not what I expected. I would not stay there again.

First room he gave me was on the first floor, which I liked as a solo female traveler. The key didn’t work and it appeared the room was already occupied. Then he said he wrote the wrong room number down. Second room, 1st floor.. key didn’t work. Third room was on 2nd floor. There was no lock on the door, no phone and huge palmetto bugs crawling around. I had to go BACK to the lobby, and the clerk was asleep again. The 4th room was now on the 3rd floor. I had to walk up exterior stairs in the dark, alone. The room was bare bones and obviously recently quickly renovated. Nothing on the walls, no iron, no hair dryer and only 1 small bar of soap. By this time, I had 8 hours before I had to checkout and was charged a $100 deposit. NEVER AGAIN!

The exterior of the property was in need of serious cleaning and repairs. Every place we walked around the building and in the hallways had a strong smell of weed. The grassy area behind the building was covered in hundreds of piles of dog feces. The room was ok but we won't stay here again.

The TV was broken both nights and no one came to help fix it and we called multiple times, the staff anounced our room number out loud with men in the lobby, we were 3 women traveling alone. The room itself was clean enough but felt very unsafe.

Kind of what I expected for a Motel, but wouldnt stay here again. Bathroom was gross, towels were not clean, floors were sticky and very grimmy feeling, bathroom door wouldnt shut right was missing a hing, bath rub and shower area had mold spots, bed were decent, but even in a non smoking room it smelled like a smoker depot.

My room was very clean, I will say, but there is no coffee maker in the rooms and no toiletries are supplied except for a small bar of soap. There is free coffee in the lobby but you can't get inside the lobby until 6AM. It did its job for $65 a night with pets to break up a drive as an overnight stop but I'd rather spend $100 for a better location, a better feeling of safety and ... coffee on demand.

The room was very clean and comfortable at a good price. Price is good because there are no amenities. No coffeemaker, no shampoo, one tiny bar of soap. Great for a single guy traveling alone or someone on a tight budget. Famlies might look elsewhere.

When we went to check in at 7:30pm (check in is at 3pm) the room had not been cleaned from whenever had it last… had to wait 45 minutes for them to clean the room we was there 3 days and not one time did the come and clean the room at all bring new towels or even ask if we needed anything! When we went to get ice they didn’t have any it was out of order! Tv wouldn’t work internet was maybe or maybe not there was roaches in the room!! We will never stay at the hotel again!!

Had to drive considerable distance to find some restaurant choices. Room was okay. Some walls were damaged. Television's remote control was difficult to handle. One positive, though, was that the parking lot with its bright lights was excellent and safe.

This motel looks a lot better on the outside than the inside. We arrived around midnight and had to hang over my ID and credit card through a small window where I could barely see what was being done behind the desk. As we walked to our room, I saw a cat sitting in the window of the room next to ours. Once inside, I detected a faint odor of cat pee which was a complete turn-off. The bed linens appeared clean, the bathroom looked clean, but the shower curtain had mold or mildew on it. We won't be back.

The room was inexpensive, but it was spartan, no frills. The security latch on the door was missing, which made the room feel less than secure. There was a LOT of road noise as the interstate highway - and on ramp- were less than 50 yards away.

The checkin went very well, he was very efficient. Just what we needed for the night.

I got to the motel after the front door was locked. We had to speak through a small window that was waist high. The attendant didn’t know what he was doing. It took at least 30 minutes just to check in.

Mold on the walls, mildew on the walls above the cracked tub liner. Shower curtain not properly secured to the wall. Mildew stains on the one set of bed sheets this place is gross! If I wasn’t absolutely exhausted from driving 20 hours I would have went somewhere else. 75$ was a stretch for this room. I wish I could attach pictures

Stayed for 3 days. A bit run-down and no vent in the bathroom so this caused some cleanliness issues. Solid locks, air conditioning exceptional in mid-August! Check in and check out easy.

The mattress was comfortable, but the room was extremely simple, no extras, not even a vent fan in the bathroom. In-room amenities that were not provided included coffee maker and supplies, iron and ironing board, and a hair dryer. So, be prepared for a new meaning of budget. I'm one of those all I need is a bed types. Wasn't bad the last time I stayed here but this most recent trip there was so much moisture in the room everything felt damp when I woke up. Missing smoke alarm. Looked like someone ripped it off the wall. Also two dirty wash cloths on the shower curtain rod. Checked out. Won't be back.

The neighbors were smoking outside of their room beside of 117 when I arrived. The A/C unit pulled in the smoke and I had to go to the local dollar store to get air freshener. The back plate behind the hot/cold handle was loose. Bed was fine. Room was clean. Staff was great!

Had a reservation and they could not find it . I had to rebook a room and pay almost double

Great rooms this is my go to for the area after one stay.

The room was mostly clean. The bathroom definitely needed some attention. There were spots that looked like poop on the wall, the floor wasn't overly clean, they were stains on the shower curtain. The ceiling was stained, and a couple other things. The room itself looked good, the bed was clean, the floor was clean. We did have a large bug run across the floor that evening. Overall, the room was decent. Wouldn't have minded an extra pillow though. The lobby was getting on towards decrepit. We were worried that the room would be worse, and please to find out the room was much better than the lobby.

Highly recommend this Motel. Front desk staff was incredibly nice and helpful. It was my first time solo traveling to Columbia. Although I did have issues with my hotel room because of Expedia, Motel 6 made sure I was safe and accommodated.

The property appeared to have been under a complete renovation but lots of standard motel items missing: No privacy tags; no hotel pamphlets; leaking toilet; no amenities or snacks to purchase considering the property location; no continental breakfast. The cable chase in the room is unlocked and very accessible by unauthorized personnel. It is large enough for a 250 lb person to easily fit through. Also, the elevator floor felt like it was about to sink in. The room was however clean with fresh linen.

There was light coming in around the door to the outside. There was a towel from the previous occupants left behind the door in the bathroom. It was noisy with people coming and going.

We really enjoyed our stay in South Carolina and the place was very clean and bright.

Suit for 1-2 night stay only, keep valuable in your eyes.

The guest representative was friendly and professional. The actual room was clean, but it had some plumbing issues prior to our stay. The sink and the toilet both leaked, so we had to use towels from the room to get the water up. The lead housekeeper advised me that they just opened the room to be rented out the night prior to our arrival. Asked if we could exchange rooms, the response was, we have to check for an open room, or, they were all booked up. There were plenty of open rooms available my entire stay ( Wednesday - Saturday)

I have had to travel from NC to Columbia now for the past 3 mos. In SC 4 days Nc 3 days. Have stayed at several different hotels. This one is a little further out from my destination, but tried it because of a deal on Hotels.com, is now my go to even with the added distance. More than worth the added drive time.

We visited this location due to a surgery. The staff was very accommodating with our needs. The head maid was absolutely phenomenal. We had forgot toothpaste and she went out of her way to try to get us some, even offering personal stock. The front office was absolutely amazing, professional and very friendly. All in all it was a wonderful stay, despite the unfortunate circumstance in which we had to stay. We were a bit skeptical because of past history with this chain of operations but it exceeded our expectations. Just give this place a try! You will not be disappointed. We have to come back to the area at the end of the year for another surgery and will definitely be staying here again.

The staff was nice and the hotel was average, nothing fancy but quiet and reasonably priced. I did see one roach in the bathroom but only one.

This place has bed bugs. When told about the probably they were very nonchalant about and argue that they had protected mattress covers to prevented that. Didn't help at all

First contact was smooth. Gentleman behind the counter checked us in with ease. We get to the room and the inside trim of the door is missing, in the dark you can see right between the door and the door casing. Wind blowing through from outside like there was a fan on. I go ask for a different room. Same gentleman assist me with no issues. Next room is clearly labeled non smoking on the door but when we enter the room all you can smell is stale smoke, very strong odor of stale smoke. So I go ask for a different room. He has a woman on premise go with me to the new room. She lets us in and it is the best option so far. Cigarette burns in the sheets on the bed and paint falling off the ceiling in both the main room and the bathroom. The next day we go about our activities for the day. We return to the hotel and our key card does not work. I had to return to the front desk to have them re-key the card. It was a total mess of a stay.

Decent No Frills motel. It was OK but just for the value. Good location and close to the airport. The staff was very nice.

For a quick overnight stay this place is just fine. It is bare minimum. It is difficult to get into at night being unfamiliar with the area as it is on a feeder road next to interstate. With that being said, the interstate traffic did interfere with sleep somewhat. The place is clean and staff we interacted with was great. Did not like the fact we had to pay a $100 deposit for "incidentals" but also understand the need in that area.

The hotel was decent enough for a one night stay. This hotel has just been redone and while the main area of the room looks good, it is a shame they didn’t redo the bathrooms. The room was a bit blank, no hair dryer or shower amenities.

This motel had numerous long term residents. The administration was very good to accept recommendations to improve the property. Our unit had previously long term people occupying our room.

We just stayed overnight for one night as we needed a room to have some privacy room was decent better than most motels, the people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The bathroom was a little dirty, but not horrible.

The cleanliness of the room was poor.. I asked twice to have my room cleaned out of the 6 days I stayed and all I got was a change of sheets.. Hotel in my opinion is very under staffed for house keeping…

There were large brown spots on the sheets and the towels and I hope they were just stains and not dirty but there was no way to tell. In the bathroom you could see the urine on the floor and toilet as soon as you walked in. It was even on top of the lid and seat. It was abundantly clear there was absolutely no effort made to even pretend like they had cleaned it between guests. For the price of the room I expected at least a clean room. I only stayed here because no other hotels had rooms and I will not be staying there again.

The tub/shower drains entirety too slowly! Beds, etc., were fine; TV was fine; no iron or such in room. Very overpriced during the football season and home games!!! But, it was almost the same price as the Sheraton. Wild!!!

It was quiet and well lit. They have some small issues they are working on. Nothing bad tho. Perfectly adequate for a night or two.

Displaced because of hurricane Helene. Our room was mostly clean, spacious, and NO bugs! Minor issues were immediately corrected by a very attentive and friendly staff and owner. The motel was fully booked and short staffed due to natural disaster, but they went above and beyond. There aren’t many amenities and the outside looks a little rough, but we had a place to rest our head, a hot shower, and relief from the devastation at home. My only complaint…the mattresses would slide off the platform bed with the slightest pressure. Security was great - cameras everywhere outside of rooms and around property. The owner shared that they had recently acquired the motel and were renovating. You can see the positive changes and work they are putting in to make it a clean safe space.

Given your right off of a freeway (Which is at your discretion) This was a decent stay. Bed was comfy plus NO BUGS. Would book again if in area. No pool. Vending machines (a little Pricey) plus Landry machines onsite was a great touch. Parking lot well lit.

Stayed for 1 night. The room was clean. They appear to be making upgrades. It is a decent place to stay for the money. The staff was very friendly.

When I checked on a Thursday evening, I was told, if I needed the room serviced, to put a request in by 9am Friday morning. So I asked right then and there. I was told they would do it Saturday because the room was just cleaned. The room was not clean. I walked across the room in my bare feet and the bottom of my feet were black. There was no soap or any other standard toiletries. I had to walk back down for towels. They could not bring them to my room. There was lot of noise from the construction workers on site. The laundry room that also had a vending machine in it smelled strongly of urine and there was no water in the vending machine even after I reminded them the day before. On that Saturday, I left the room at 9 am came back at 10 mins to 4PM and the cleaning staff had just got there. The women had just started the bathroom and the beds had been stripped but there were no sheets or bedding. We needed to shower ( the heat and humidity was unbearable) as we had a football/soccer match to get to. So we had to ask her to leave and come back in 30-45 mins. The manager showed up asking what the problem was and told me their staff needed to leave soon. I showed him the bottom of my feet and said this is not ok, this should have already been done since it is after 4PM. With it being a sold out weekend, this was the only option. I would not choose to stay there again. And they were also taking advantage of this by charging guests $500 a night.
