Breakfast - it was good, but eat the same stuff for 7 days was quite boring. I'd suggest to change it a bit sometimes.... I also don't understand, why there is a strong light shining to the rooms all the night from the outside...

I even called and spoke with the front desk to confirm availability to be told the room was available. Once I checked in and had bags on bed I saw there was no roll up or step in the shower and no rails near the toilet. These features are needed for my husband. We asked for another room but none were available with double beds. We were traveling with our grandkids and needed a 2nd bed.

We arrived very late and the desk help was very helpful to get us to our room quickly. It was a nice sleep and the breakfast attendant was very helpful in the morning.

We were traveling for business and loved the Columbia area so we stayed to check out the Lake Murray area. Every member of the staff was so kind and helpful and went overboard to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Shout out to Shirlina (not sure of spelling) and Amy (NOT Mildred). These ladies are excellent ambassadors of the Marriott brand and deserve all the praise and recognition for their efforts and dedication in serving your customers. Thank you for making us feel at home away from home. We will be back!!

Location to soccer field was reason for staying. Other than that maybe the good part was close to restaurants Traveling with our soccer team. Was given key to a room in which a family was already occupying. It being football season, a few dads will meet in lobby to watch games. The main desk attendant told us we couldn’t set in the lobby and watch after 10. Breakfast was horrible. Place needs a deep cleaning, paint job, and probably a new owner!

This hotel met all our criteria… clean quiet room. Bathroom was large with very nice towels and good shower. My only complaint was the bed was very squeaky. Both beds in the room squeak whenever you sat down or turned over. The breakfast was fine so only complaint was squeaky bed

I checked in the hotel the male manager (Vilsar) was there. I asked if I could have an early check in since i had been driving over 8 hrs and was exhausted. He immediately said they had nothing available and said check in was at 3. I said ok, but I didn’t care if it was the exact room I booked and anything would be fine. He asked if I had a reservation and I said yes and gave him my info. He was looking to see if anything was clean and he had a sheet of paper with all the available rooms ( which I have) he was a bit abrupt asked for my liscense and credit card. As I was looking for it, I asked his name. He then said I need to stop acting entitled and early check in is not guaranteed. At that point I was just in so much disbelief he called me entitled as I was just standing there doing nothing. I asked how was I entitled, as I wasn’t yelling or fussing but just standing there. He said I wouldn’t give him my debit card or liscense and I asked for his name. I told him I was a reviewer and I leave reviews and wanted to acknowledge who helps. So it escalated to the point he said he would cancel my reservation and I could go somewhere else. Literally disbelief and exhausted I told him if that’s what he wanted to do then ok. I didn’t want to stay where I wasn’t welcomed. He then apologized if he came across harsh and was trying to help and gave me my room key.

Our room smelled like there was mold. The hotel is being remolded, so probably needs to be closed until that’s complete. One of the lights was out in the bathroom. Also, the iron leaked water. Overall, not the best experience.

I feel like we got a good value for the price paid. Check-in was easy, free breakfast in the morning that was actually decent. Upon arriving free parking was a great option to have. I checked into a beautiful room with ease. I turned on the heat and there was a burning smell from the unit and my stay went downhill from there. I jumped in the shower and the shower curtain smelled of mold. As I returned from breakfast the maintenance guy walked up and asked what room I was looking for and followed me to my room and used his key to open my door to let me in. It made me very uncomfortable. This same guy was hanging at the front desk and even when I left for a meeting and returned he was waiting outside in front of the hotel pacing back and forth. I will never choose this hotel again.

The next morning, I asked the associate about the noises along with a request for some body wash in my shower to be refilled, both requested were acknowledged. The following morning when I tried the shower gel, It was still empty. I asked again the next morning along with the house keeping schedule, I was told the housekeeping was only every three days, on the third day's evening when I arrived to my room, the room wasn't made up, just a couple towels were left on my sink area. This is not the customer service that I've come to expect from a Marriott property, very disappointed experience. I'm sorry to say that I won't place any future reservations for myself or any other of my company's employees. We'll use another hotel in the Lexington, SC area moving forward,

I absolutely love this property and always book it if I have to come in town or bring my family. The staff is absolutely phenomenal and Miss D over breakfast is such a gem. The hotel is located near a lot of eareries, it is clean , breakfast was good. The girl at front desk (maya)when i arrived was unprofessional, not polite is a understatement,and rude , the air conditioner fan made a loud noise everytime it went off, so had to turn it off at night. It was a very safe and quiet experience. Fairfield is now one of my favorite hotels, I have had great experiences both here and in Florida. AC works great, quick check-in, beds are very comfortable. Shower pressure excellent. And the best part is the elevator is fast, no wait. You get on and it yanks you to the next floor immediately lol, i like that. Within seconds. Whatever you want to eat is literally .02 mile down the road but it's not safe to walk. No sidewalks.

Hotel was clean with easy check in

Great staff! Made for a pleasant stay

We arrived at the hotel at 2:20 pm. Explained that we needed to get ready for a wedding at 4:00. Were told that no room was available until 3:00. By 3:10, still no room. Challenged desk clerk that we needed the room. Was told that if we couldn’t wait we could go elsewhere. That is what we did. I will appreciate a refund!

I reserved a king room but it wasnt available when I got here so I got downsized to a queen.

Everyone has been very professional and nice

My check in was very easy and really quick. All my information was in the system and I was booked in room 301 (king size with sofa). This hotel offers free parking, next door is McAlister's Deli, across and down the street there's plenty of other restaurants to eat at. Also you can walk to the Columbiana Mall and you're less than 5 minutes from I-26. The hotel was very clean on the outside and almost spotless on the inside. The mattress could have been a little firmer and the water much hotter,. Overall I slept very peacefully, the room was clean and didn't smell like someone had been smoking. The entire hotel was quiet throughout my stay and breakfast was ready before check out. My stay was 2/17/24-2/18/24.

Staff was awesome, rooms very clean

Hotel was clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was probably the worst experience. Very few options. Only thing worth eating was the waffles. However there was always a line waiting to use the 1 machine.

My room was clean, quiet, and the staff was very friendly. When I'm in the area again, I will definitely stay here again

The staff was courteous however the door to balcony didn't work in addition to the bathroom exhaust fan was extremely noisy.

For less than $80, this was right on the money. The bathroom DEFINITELY wasn't as clean as it should have been--hair still on shower walls, towel bars hadn't been wiped down--but the bed linens and floor were clean. The property felt safe and was very quiet. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was adequate. The bed was comfy and the wall mounted TV was a nice touch as well. I would stay here again if I was looking for a last minute, economical choice.

This is a lovely older hotel that has had significant remodeling. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The free breakfast and coffee were much better than the usual offerings at other similar hotels. Ms Dee, the breakfast attendant, was a delight. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There were also several restaurants near by.

Clean, quiet, great staff and decent breakfast. All we could ask for as a quick overnight stop. And the lady who oversees breakfast is a pearl! Would recommend highly.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the appliances were clean. Only complaint is that if the room can sleep 2-4 people then there should be at least towels for 4. Other than that I rate them worthy of another visit.

It was so good. Kendall was so kind, and Ms. D was AMAZING. We left refreshed and inspired.

Pillows were the size of couch throw pillows, small and square (definitely not suitable for sleeping). Reserved the room for 3 people but was only given 2 towels. Housekeeping never came to our room- we were there for 3 nights- two full days and two half days…when we questioned the front when going down for a roll of toilet paper (because there was no spare roll in there and was only given a small amount to start with), they stated they only do a freshen up to empty trash and look at things like towels on the floor, etc but do not make up linens. Our trash was overflowing (never taken during our stay). The customer service at the desk was 5 star wonderful, the lack of everything else was 1 star. Beds were comfortable aside from the pillows but that’s about it!

Just passing through, stayed one night. It was great nana Dee was extra kind to the kids, went the extra mile.

Room is modern. Can hear sirens outside but no sound between rooms. Breakfast is small but nice. Has some healthy options. Staff is friendly and it's located close to the shopping area, lots of dinning options.

Arrived early and the front desk staff was accomading in finding me an available room. The woman who runs the breakfast doed a fantastic job in serving and keeping area clean. My third stay here.

I felt safe in the area where the hotel is located. While we didn't take advantage of shopping or dining, there were a lot of options around the property and under a different timeline we certainly would have. I liked the lobby area; coffee and breakfast served in the morning. Free parking and well lit parking lot was a big plus. I was disappointed in our room. While clean, it was humid and had a moldy smell, which is something we shouldn't have had to deal with considering the price we were charged. I tried to turn on the air conditioning to get some of the humidity out of the air and it wasn't working. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't the quality I was expecting from Fairfield and especially since they charged a premium rate.

We always stay here when visiting family in the area. Always clean and good service and conscientious location wise.

The staff was very kind. I would definitely stay here again. They offered an assortment of items for breakfast and a staff member was always there if you needed any help. Of course I wasn’t sure how to us the waffle maker…now I do!
